Thank you to Dbrand for making CES 2017 possible for us this year. Check them
0:03
out in the link down below. This is the Aventum 3. It is beautiful. It is huge.
0:09
Is incredibly powerful. And I'm not talking about it today. Today I'm going
0:13
to be talking about Project Medina. This is a prototype case, so it's it's not
0:18
completely ready. There's some things that will be changing. I've tried to
0:22
throw in my two cents for what they can do, and there's a couple things that
0:25
they already had on the block. In its current configuration, it has an ASUS
0:29
Z270 Stris board, an i7700 K, two GTX
0:35
1080s, 32 gigs of Corsair Dominator RAM,
0:38
some Thermaltch Ring fans, and a whole bunch of EK water cooling. But if you
0:43
don't go for like fully to the tilt builds, you can get this one down to
0:47
about 1500 or even maybe below with this same chassis. In terms of cooling all
0:52
that awesome gear, you can configure it to have up to a 3x120 or 3x140 in the
0:58
top. And in the front, you can get a 2x120 or 2x140. This current
1:02
configuration is using both. As you can see, there's already a ton of lighting
1:07
and RGB zones and all that awesomeness. But they're going to have a new lighting
1:11
controller on the way, which will add more zones, including like the digital
1:14
storm logo just on the inside of the case and I'm hoping the SSD bay in the
1:19
back and maybe even some more. We'll just have to wait and see. Speaking of
1:22
that SSD area on the right side of the case, it's an interesting idea when
1:26
compared to some people that are revealing the whole right side of the case, but then you've got some messy
1:30
cables and stuff. This just puts your beautiful SSDs on display for the world
1:34
to see. In terms of IO, on the top you have wonderful power and reset switches.
1:40
I don't know if these are Vandal switches specifically, but they feel
1:43
great. On the other side, you have a full-size SD card reader and a micro SD
1:48
card reader, which I'm sure the editors here would enjoy. Headphone and
1:51
microphone jacks, two USB 3.1 Gen1 TypeA
1:55
ports, one USB 3.1 Gen 2 TypeC ports,
2:00
those names get fairly long, and an HDMI 2.0 port if you want to plug VR headsets
2:04
up into the top instead of on the back of your case. If you are interested in
2:08
configuring your own version of Project Medina, check out Digital Storm's
2:12
website in fall of this year. Thank you to our Dank sponsor Dbrand for bringing
2:16
us to CES 2017 this year. They have a ton of different options for skins for
2:21
your devices, like my Pixel right now that has their marble skin on it. Also,
2:26
all of our laptops that we got for Christmas, all the Razer Blades, all
2:29
have different configurations of skins on there. If you want to make it your
2:32
own, similar to how you might configure one of these computers, you can go to DBR's website and configure your own
2:37
skin layout for your own device.
