so we pulled off all of the tape and plastic covering bits so there were a
0:04
few different ones uh first of all there's one holding the front bezel on
0:08
because you can actually well my assumption is that you can actually pop
0:12
that off but we'll figure that out later there was one holding uh this this piece
0:16
closed um I think that was pretty much it for tape so let's start at the front
0:20
so at the front we see just like the 800d we've got all of our front panel
0:24
connectors why are you down there we've got all of our front panel connectors as
0:28
well as our start and and uh Power LED
0:32
reset switch all of that good stuff is up here I'm not sure where that other
0:36
front USB 2.0 is I wonder if they mean
0:40
either 4 USB 2.0 or 2 USB 3 2 USB 2
0:44
either way it's no uh no major loss I mean you only need so many front USB so
0:49
the overall fit and finish of the front bezel looks very very similar to the
0:53
800d very nice quality very nice quality piece here okay so let's move around to
0:59
Let's to this side okay so we' got a window which has kind of a frame around
1:04
it okay gives it a very clean look the side panel is toolless so all you got to
1:09
do is hold down these little um latches
1:12
here and you can open and close it that way let's move around to the back where
1:16
we will find eight expansion slots a 120
1:20
mm exhaust fan our I/O slot as well as a
1:23
bottom mounted power supply and a bottom
1:27
mounted fan filter just like the 800d exception shorter and narrower all right
1:33
then on the other side we're going to actually we're going to take this one right off I'm going to show you guys the
1:38
overall look of the side panels so the side panels are quite stiff not a whole
1:42
lot of flex to them you can see this mechanism here looks quite robust so
1:47
you're not going to worry too much about that braking over extended use all right
1:52
inside is all black as we've come to expect from cor aair cases you can see
1:56
it has a huge CPU
2:00
out so you're going to be able to access the back of your motherboard however and
2:04
from whatever angle it is that you need to do that from okay let's finish up
2:08
with the cooling first so up here in the top you can see we've actually got a lot
2:12
of different fan mounting options so it comes with a 200 mm fan but you can also
2:16
Mount 2 140s using these holes or 210s
2:20
using I don't know what holes but use you can do 220s or 240s or a single 200
2:27
mm okay let's go ahead and take this side panel off show you guys the inside
2:31
of the window so that's a fixed with screws and it's just a piece of some
2:36
kind of acrylic or Plexi something like that
2:40
okay internal oh no one last external
2:43
feature that I did want to show you guys actually if uh fine we can look at this
2:48
now so here in the front we've got our Corsair logo and we've also got our
2:51
other 200 mm fan and in terms of mounting options it looks like a 200 mm
2:58
fan is all that goes there and you do
3:01
not have the option to mount something else like you do in the top okay one
3:05
last external feature up here in the in the top you can see right here gives us
3:09
a guide so if you want to install a 3 and 1/2 in hot swap drive you can do
3:14
that and it'll just push it down and if you want to install a 2 and 1/2 in hot
3:18
swap drive then it'll guide it into the correct position so then you can swap it
3:23
like it's hot it's crazy Russian wanted me to say
3:29
that he's filming this for me in cameraman's dead cameraman's actually on
3:33
vacation right now I can't get it out oh oh here hold on we've also got our fan
3:37
speed controller in here I didn't even see that little switch so we basically
3:41
got low medium and high I'm going to
3:44
pull that out okay there good excellent closed all right let's have a look at
3:48
the inside internal features we got our
3:52
motherboard tray which is apparently designed by Corsair much like the rest
3:55
of the case the grommets used here are
3:59
um I'd say they're a little stiffer than some of the some of the uh well the most
4:05
flexible ones that I've seen but you can clearly see that if you put something in
4:09
put some pressure on it and withdraw it you're still going to they're still
4:12
going to come back to their original position so nice high quality grommets
4:16
uh the power supply Mount is raised up a little bit off the bottom of the case
4:20
honestly it's pretty much irrelevant because you've got this ventilation here
4:24
as well as this filtered intake so you can mount your power supply no matter
4:28
what power supply you're using no problem fan side down so it can draw
4:32
nice fresh air filtered air through the bottom of the case what else do we got
4:36
in here here you can see the inside of the 200 mm fan that's included okay then
4:41
we've also got a 120 mm fan at the back which wasn't mentioned actually on the
4:46
outside of the box but I mean I can't imagine Corsair releasing a case without
4:50
a 120 mm fan given that their water cooling solutions all rely on 120 mm
4:56
fans so that wouldn't make any sense at all then would it we've also got
5:00
speaking of water cooling a couple of water cooling grommets so if you wanted
5:03
to do an external mounted rad you could run the tubing through there as I
5:07
mentioned before at the back eight internal PCI Express brackets so that
5:11
gives you a couple options you could install a motherboard with eight PC or
5:14
did I say PCI Express I guess I meant PCI but either is fine uh so you can
5:18
either install a motherboard with eight PCI slots at the back or you can install
5:22
a motherboard with seven and a PCIe 16x slot at the bottom and then you can
5:26
install a graphics card that is dual slot in there and it will still have room to exhaust all right we've got tons
5:32
and tons of cable management grommets including uh gaps at the top here and
5:37
more importantly here to bring through the 8 Pin or four pin CPU power
5:42
connector or connectors what do we got here in terms
5:46
of internal connectors speaking of connectors all right we've got uh a
5:51
ziplock bag which has a Corsair sticker
5:55
in all likelihood although I don't see it some rubber grommets some screws some
5:59
zip TI okay here is all of our wow that's a
6:05
whack of internal cables okay so I'm
6:08
just going to try and find out how to how to take this
6:14
off come on oh I see it's probably a
6:18
fixed from the back yes yes it is that took me way too
6:24
long to figure out
6:28
okay there we go so this this is like a
6:31
lot of cables it's a good thing Corsair makes all of their cables black
6:35
otherwise managing all of this plus power supply plus whatever the heck else
6:40
data cables you need would be a mess
6:43
okay so back here we've got our fire wire we've got our HD audio we've got
6:47
our USB 2 we've got our USB 3 you can see the way the USB 3 works is via the
6:53
running out the back of the case and plugging into the back of the io Shield
6:57
although I would expect adapters to be available fairly shortly so that you can
7:00
use those brand new fancy internal headers with your brand new fancy case
7:05
all right so that's all of that and then we've got fan connector okay no we've
7:10
got our front panel so that's our power switch LEDs reset switch all that good
7:14
stuff and then we have fan connectors so here's the power for the fan controller
7:18
that we uh saw with that switch up at the top and then you can plug up to four
7:22
fans directly into it and control all four fans so the four fans they intend
7:26
for you to use are the 200 mil at the front a 120 m at the back and then up to
7:31
240s or 2220s at the top we have a
7:35
tooless mechanism here for the drive cages so it's just a simple rocker one
7:40
so all you have to do is push that in well pull it out put in your drive push
7:44
it in okay fairly straightforward and here we have toolless hard drive trays
7:49
so they've got 2 and 1/2 in mounting holes here and then 3 and 1/2 in drives
7:53
are going to be mounted via the pegs here they look flimsy but as soon as you
7:57
put a drive in them and snap them in I guarantee you they're not going anywhere
8:01
now one of these cages is actually removable actually these cages are
8:06
removable and I believe they can actually be rotated
8:10
but don't quote me on that one yet we
8:15
will find out maybe it's just one of them that can be rotated here we go
8:19
thumb screws handy love the thumb
8:24
screws okay so that did
8:27
that and then
8:31
oh okay give me a moment here
8:35
guys okay I was mistaken it looks like what this feature is actually for is to
8:40
remove the hard drive cages which clearly we've done and then you can I
8:45
guess you can access this fan to clean it for whatever reason or whatever but
8:49
what it's also for is installing very very very long graphics cards so corser
8:53
has left enough room for graphics cards to become pretty much double the length
8:57
of a motherboard and you will still be able to to install them in the
9:01
650d without any difficulty whatsoever
9:05
okay the last thing we're going to show you guys in our unboxing and preview or
9:10
whatever you want to call it first look that's what I usually call it is how to
9:15
remove the front bezel so all you got to do is pull up these
9:19
TS and remove the front bezel so the
9:23
front bezel from the inside you can see it has a metal metal sheath outside of
9:26
it but the inside is actually plastic we've got fan filter here which um H is
9:32
or is not removable it's got to be it's got to be
9:38
removable yes it's removable so there you go there's your front fan filter and
9:43
it is removable maybe that's what crazy Russian was trying to show me earlier
9:48
okay and then from the front you can I don't know install drives see fans
9:55
uninstall this fan potentially thank you for checking out my video on the Corsair
10:00
and I'll pose this here yeah that looks
10:04
good it's not going to stay now stay on the Corsair
