0:00 there's like a little what is that so the second we tried to shoot day five we
0:05 hit a snag the problem is that once again we
0:08 think the issue is our wireless kit and
0:12 uh it's not we killed yet another lav
0:16 presumably from having them clipped to my waist and then having tension on them
0:20 here because the issue is that and we' we've actually killed one of these
0:24 before too one of these Sennheiser ones and then we just killed our countrymen
0:27 the issue is that the cables reinforced here and then they just break here so it
0:31 feels like the higher you go and reinforce it you're just going to break
0:35 it there so I don't know what the solution is it's
0:38 ridiculous uh just just add tape to the entirety of the cable so that it's just
0:44 one solid line I have no idea what this is mate no it's not from mate apparently
0:49 mate bought me another another Blu-ray though oh this is a notebook 15-in
0:55 gaming notebook and it's not broken it's true
1:00 this is the whole room water cooling
1:06 project this is
1:09 crazy how long has it been since we've actually worked on this mess 4 months
1:15 something like that so uh we are finally back at it and finishing the whole room
1:20 water cooling Loop is going to have some challenges that we didn't have the first
1:24 time around because now we have to figure out how to finish people's
1:28 systems like I don't even have have the I I I don't even have the like the the
1:34 tubing finished for some people's systems without interrupting them
1:39 working or at least pretending to be
1:42 working they're actually eating we are at putting the other ends of the quick
1:49 disconnects onto the computers because in order to work on the loop we need to
1:55 have people's systems running disconnected disconnected all right
2:00 I would never recommend filling the water cooling Loop of a system that's
2:04 running while it's running I believe my red is already
2:11 full and uh let's find out if my hot
2:17 swap system works or not I would
2:21 recommend saving your work oh well this is smarter than what I was
2:26 doing I just filled the rad with the whole room system uh-huh right that's
2:32 way better because now okay well right now your system is in trouble but uh-huh
2:37 um so now we don't have to worry about bleeding really nervous oops okay well
2:44 we'll go around and we'll do the CPU swaps later I
2:51 guess are we short of CPU Taran can I find out what CPU you
2:57 have uh very quickly okay
3:01 okay I'm going to try and do this right this time how are your temps
3:05 doing cuz your water is not moving right
3:09 now uh it does seem to be going up
3:13 pretty quickly and you are swapped off how's it
3:19 look now it's going up it's going up yep
3:22 holy crap uh okay just SEC just sec
3:27 everything's okay oh
3:30 it's no it's still going I know you're not hooked up to anything right
3:34 now okay we need coolant
3:39 float are we going down yeah wow like
3:43 20° yep good um so your pump is it on
3:47 your pump doesn't seem to be doing anything all right then so the good the
3:52 positive takeaway here is that the whole room pump is working
3:59 is that plugged in I thought
4:03 so but we're going to double
4:06 check the pump is connected to the pump
4:10 bone the pump bonees connected to the
4:13 case bone the case Bone's connected to
4:22 nothing so we got to plug in your pump you know what we probably pulled it out
4:27 during the power supply swap yeah never plug it back probably didn't need to
4:31 plug it back in or felt like we didn't need to plug it back in no I'm pretty
4:36 sure we just forgot well I like to give
4:40 people the benefit of the doubt especially when they're me okay oh yours
4:44 already has fittings on it yeah I put them on there when I uh felt like it no
4:49 you didn't uh what color tubing is that
4:52 supposed to be this clear there's definitely a lot of
4:56 bubbles in the loop at the moment if it's just that
5:01 tubing getting all grossed out or if
5:04 it's the blocks yeah the blocks seem fine it's
5:07 just ugly ugly coolant like it's you can actually
5:13 see um so just just to keep in mind there
5:19 are things on top of this PC oh well there probably aren't anymore no do you
5:25 making no weird noise um no that's probably there air in
5:30 your block now because we're messing around with the loop ble it's probably
5:34 okay but all my screens went blue they did no oh my God why do I ever listen to
5:40 you one day I'm going to tell you something legitimate and you're going to
5:43 be like oh hilarious and then and you're going to die you're going to lose like
5:47 your left pinky or something well at least just my left
5:50 pinky okay for the first time since we
5:55 set it up the whole room water cooling system is off I mean completely off the
6:00 fans have been off since about the first week so after all that work to have all
6:04 the systems hooked up to a whole room water cooling system we have
6:07 successfully disconnected them all yay clap clap clap clap clap clap
6:14 but there's a purpose there's a purpose because
6:18 this is our new pump which we will
6:21 actually be installing in addition to our existing pump now I ordered or a 2md
6:27 QSC I ordered a matching one for our other one they actually sent me a 3 MD
6:31 QSC so this one's slightly more powerful something I didn't really want um so I
6:37 don't know I I I I I think that's not really recommended for serial pump
6:42 operation but we don't really have much of a choice at this point so uh this one
6:46 has slightly higher head pressure as well as a slightly higher flow rate than
6:51 the other one so off we go
6:55 so one issue that we've had uh is that
7:00 one of the fittings on this pump has actually been leaking see right
7:06 here there's uh yeah there's definitely
7:10 a leak there so we've actually had some corrosion of the base and
7:16 uh it's been kind of nasty this is our anti vibration pad that makes it
7:21 slightly less loud all right so that means we have to figure out how to close
7:27 off these now I have one idea for one
7:35 side like is this going to work what if I just mush
7:43 it locking swivel
7:47 jaw like this thing is stuck to the
7:51 other
7:56 one what heck
8:03 it doesn't move there you go yay thought I was an
8:11 idiot I mean I might still be an idiot what I'm about to do with it is
8:16 idiotic so I'm trying to Mush the uh
8:20 mush the tubing here water will Rush from this
8:25 opening on both on both ends and I don't
8:28 know how much I'll be able to do to stop it here wait no it should be fine
8:33 because in theory I've blocked them right so what I need to do is plan to do
8:37 this one first cuz I suspect this one is less likely to leak as much so I want to
8:42 pull this off how much pressure is in there I
8:47 don't know it's a mystery it worked wow okay
8:54 let's find out uh let's find out if this
8:57 is going to hold only one way to know for
9:04 sure hippity Boop done it looks like
9:07 there's a little bit of corrosion on this uh fitting right here but it might
9:12 not be a big deal there is definitely some crap in here that is that is an
9:18 extremely that is an extremely bad thing
9:22 so that's what's staining the inside of the
9:25 tubing I think it's coming from here
9:30 which could be a very very bad thing steel Reservoir should be fine if you
9:35 have if you're running basically we're just running Automotive antifreeze in
9:39 here but it looks like something about it is not
9:42 working like it's not obviously just ol
9:45 of sediment I wonder if all that Gunk
9:49 settled reasonably well cuz we didn't notice any build up on the blocks either
9:54 which is good cuz it means it won't affect cooling performance but um I'd
9:59 still like to have things cleaner than that if it can be so here are the
10:03 floaties I'm talking about and how they're kind of
10:07 mushy which leads me to believe that there's some kind of life form as
10:12 opposed to just being um like rust build up also kind of
10:17 greasy but then that could just be the SE I don't know sea
10:22 monkeys yeah not what we were trying to do here what this means now is that we
10:29 either have to accept that there's stuff growing in our Loop
10:34 and write off all the gear that's
10:37 attached to it as contaminated until it's cleaned or we have to take
10:41 everything apart replace all the tubing clean all the blocks and replace this
10:47 Reservoir in order to start fresh so uh given that we're moving in 2
10:54 months we are going to go for the temporary
10:57 solution um which is flush the res flush
11:01 the loop um go much much heavier on the on
11:06 the antifreeze this time and uh and and
11:10 kind of live with it for another couple months before we
11:16 move experience silent performance with the new Cooler Master silencio 652 s
11:22 minimalist design maximum compatibility click now to learn more I don't know if
11:27 our hose still works
11:30 this kind of fell okay well the stuff
11:34 that's on the lip here see that's funny it seems kind of
11:40 greasy you know I wonder if it I Wonder Maybe I'm Wrong maybe it's
11:46 not maybe it's not living maybe it's just something left over in here from
11:51 manufacturing well we didn't have a lot of options in terms of reservoirs but I
11:55 can see we made the wrong choice
12:07 oh groy that doesn't look like a coating
12:12 and it's like it's all over the the upper walls as well and I remember
12:16 looking into it like there was nothing on there before but I'm not sure what we managed
12:22 to introduced to the system that grows in an antifreeze water mixture
12:29 maybe some of the viewers will have some insight they all appear to be experts on
12:33 this kind of project anyway like coming into today I was
12:38 thinking we might need some kind of a filter in line or something something
12:42 like that but this is clearly just
12:45 beyond filtration putting this back in the loop
12:50 doesn't seem to be an option
12:55 so what I think we're going to do
13:00 as stupid as this is um is we're going
13:04 to leave the loop open for now with like
13:09 buckets yep we're going bucket water
13:14 cooling um because I don't want to especially now that I've Disturbed
13:18 whatever's in here we're going to get chunks going through the loop and if one
13:21 of those chunks ends up in a water block
13:24 the cooling performance of that system is hooped I don't think that's happened
13:28 yet I don't have a reason to believe that's happened yet looking at the temperatures of people's
13:32 systems so uh we can't we can't risk that happening so then what we'll need
13:35 to do is we'll need to get a replacement reservoir for when we move and um when we move we will have to
13:42 we'll have to do something we'll have to clean out the system we'll have to clean out the tubing and blocks and start
13:47 fresh the radiators are going to be a real problem we may need to just replace
13:56 them so while at took a break to uh copy
14:02 footage I figured I'd get our pumps
14:05 prepped it turns out the reason it was leaking was way back when I uh when I
14:10 initially used this pump I apparently didn't know what Teflon tape was because
14:14 I apparently didn't use it so that would be why that fitting was leaking um I
14:18 also spent a little bit of time Googling and while an while Automotive antifreeze
14:23 does indeed contain an anti-corrosive which is good that's what I was really
14:28 concerned about what it does not contain and I had I guess assumed it contains is
14:34 a biocal agent so that is why our Loop
14:39 is full of what is now definitely organic matter not only have no flux I I
14:44 have no solder I I do have to go to Home Depot you probably have a sandbag on
14:48 your ladder like my Vol but the sound means it's not working best not to
14:52 breath that in
