0:00 so today we've got a kit of Corsair's Dominator GT memory and I think it
0:04 includes a fan but I'm actually not 100% sure so let's get to unboxing this this
0:09 is a 4 gig kit and it's I5 ready so that
0:13 means that Corsair has optimized it for operation with the I5 and the LGA 1156
0:18 i7 so here we go here's the uh the Dominator GT airflow fan but let's have
0:23 a look at the modules first so like all Dominator GT modules you can see that
0:29 we've got got a black heat spreader with
0:32 a red top piece on top so it looks very
0:35 very sharp once it's installed in your system so again the black white and red
0:39 theme on the back it's a very very Canadian actually of all things and then
0:45 the other one is again of course identical so let's have a look at the
0:48 included fan this is the dhx plus airflow GT so get this baby open so this
0:54 Clips to the sides of your of your dim slots and then it installs right over
0:59 top of your memory like that it's got a little sleeved three pin connector there
1:03 you can see these are two 60 mm fans and
1:06 apparently they're a lot quieter than the old actually well they are a lot
1:10 quieter than the older style round fans that spun quite fast and were actually
1:15 quite loud they were only 40 mm so here's your mounting hardware so you got
1:19 a four screws which you use to mount
1:23 these right about here so there you go
1:27 you just screw them in from the top and then the clips are on the side those
1:30 mount on to the clips for retaining the memory modules on your motherboard and
1:34 there you have it you've installed the Dominator GT airflow fan anyway thank
1:38 you for checking out my blog on Corsair's Dominator GT modules
