0:01 okay we're live welcome to the lonus tech tips live
0:05 stream featuring the one the
0:09 only um you me what is your name slick
0:13 yeah yeah that that this guy on Twitter or actually it looks like I could be
0:17 pointing anywhere I have a really really weird birth certificate really slick
0:23 PC no you don't so we've got a lot of great topics
0:27 for you guys tonight and uh knock on there should be no technical
0:31 difficulties because we I think have
0:34 finally pretty much sorted out our entire streaming setup including our
0:39 microphone we're actually finally using our high-end camera can we can we knock
0:44 on like every piece of wood in existence before the stream just just crashes
0:48 randomly because of something out of our control yeah actually you know figur
0:52 everything out last week last week was a little bit rough because uh the issues
0:57 were actually caused by um my internet just deciding that it
1:03 hated its life and uh that it didn't want to help us stream to you guys
1:08 anymore so that was super disappointing are you going to be running on battery
1:12 throughout the entire live stream there yep oh that's not going to
1:16 work turn the mic down turn the mic down
1:19 turn the mic down this is the first time anyone's ever said that yeah but
1:23 apparently we're clipping a okay we finally figured everything out
1:28 and the live stream's perfect
1:33 nope okay talk talk uh hello how's the
1:37 audio guys how's everything working is it good is it bad everyone's saying no I
1:41 don't know what no means mic is good mic's good it's
1:46 fine it's good audio is good volume volume apparently the volume was really
1:52 good we're getting conflicting answers
1:57 here okay don't to turn it down too
2:01 quiet too quiet turn it back
2:04 up can you turn it like a little can you turn it a little bit back up not really
2:09 not really oh I had it at but it was like it's almost back to where it was
2:13 okay okay well at any rate we don't have to talk that loud so
2:17 uh here we go so what should we start with today we have our hands on a Galaxy
2:22 S4 which is pretty exciting um for those
2:25 of you who don't know the Galaxy S4 is Apple's first 4A in to the Android
2:31 Marketplace so uh previously Apple was
2:34 really on sort of a a locked down Hardware software marriage type of
2:40 configuration where they really didn't believe in using open- Source software
2:43 like Android but they have done a complete reversal Steve Jobs has risen
2:48 from the dead and come back to lead the company into the Bright Horizon that is
2:54 Android I was just seeing if you were paying attention because I'm pretty sure
2:58 it took you a while to figure out what I was talking it did because I've got other stuff to deal
3:03 with so what we're actually going to be talking about is first impressions of
3:07 the S4 so I I I don't think have you spent much time with it handson none
3:12 okay so uh for those of you who haven't seen it already there's a video on the
3:16 Linus Tech tips Channel where um I was at my briefing on the S4 with Samsung
3:21 where they showed me the ins and outs and the device and there were some
3:25 things that I thought were um somewhat trivial that ended up being a far bigger
3:30 deal once I had it explained to me correctly and it's not just like explain
3:34 to me correctly like hey lonus uh where's your back pocket I got a $100
3:38 bill here I'm just going to slip that in there and give you a little p no it wasn't like that it was um hey lonus you
3:44 know that feature where the screen works even if you don't quite touch it well
3:49 what about what about this Mr Canadian over there what about when you're
3:52 wearing gloves and I'm like
3:56 oh right because when I first heard about that feature where you can control
4:00 the touch screen without actually quite touching it I was like oh who needs that
4:05 right but then all of a sudden like oh that's right so now you can actually
4:09 interface with the device even when you don't have your your hands well I mean
4:15 you'll still need hands that would probably be a good thing mind you you
4:18 were telling me about that gamer who plays without hands yeah um oh should we
4:23 transition to that now or should no no don't worry we'll we'll make it back to S4 it's on my it's on my list I'm going
4:28 to grab the S4 while you talk J into the Diablo thing no no no we'll talk about
4:32 that later so we're just going to talk about him I think his name is look no
4:36 hands although it could be some other variation of that you just hit your head
4:40 on a light that's kind of funny but no one saw it um but he his hands are
4:45 messed up so what he does is he presses the controller against his face to
4:49 control the game and he plays Call of Duty and stuff and it's actually pretty
4:52 awesome he's got videos on YouTube and stuff chead doe it's actually really cool and he's he's actually Legit by the
4:57 look of he pretty good too which is crazy I mean he's not like good like 10
5:01 to1 kill to death ratio but he's good like to one he's good to the point where
5:06 you wouldn't like if you didn't see his name you'd have no idea that he didn't
5:10 have hands which is kind of insane so I
5:14 got my hands speaking of hands I got my hands on one of those Intel uh beanies
5:18 they call them here in Canada we call them Tes show your face mask thing but
5:22 the um the way it fits is a little funny it almost looks like cuz if you fold it
5:26 up the um you don't really see you don't
5:30 really see the graphic and then if you don't fold it up then it actually ends
5:35 up covering your whole face so the cravy Russian suggested to me that this is
5:41 probably the best way to wear it how do I look it's fantastic it look like a
5:45 really really crappy version of ghost sweet and do the skull's off the skull's
5:50 off where uh turn it to the to the right
5:54 to the right your right or my right your right how's that that's a little bit
5:58 better but now the mouth is a little bit off also do the bottom a little bit
6:01 there you go we good okay how how will
6:05 you give me 10 bucks if I do the rest of the live stream like this if you do the
6:08 entire rest of the live stream like this 10 bucks see I would say yes but that
6:12 would get really old and I think people would like it a while not not only that
6:17 but I can't read and I can't see like I actually can't see through this thing so
6:21 anyway guys if you didn't uh if you didn't hear about it before inel was
6:24 giving away beanies if you uh got a 3570k or a 3770k or whatever
6:30 one of the uh twitch chat members would just like to inform you that it's an
6:34 improvement on your look oh thank you thank
6:37 you thanks for that um anyway so back to
6:40 the S4 so okay right so I was more impressed
6:45 than I was expecting to be now one of the things that pictures really um
6:49 didn't convey well was the build of the device give me your S3 for a
6:53 sec you have it on you right yep who
6:56 almost dropped it so the S3 feels like honestly weightwise they're probably
7:01 very similar they haven't gone the the iPhone 5 route where Apple basically
7:05 went yep we're going to make our phone weigh almost nothing and it's going to feel like space age in your hand because
7:10 you're like whoa oh oh it doesn't weigh anything um the the S4 weighs about the
7:14 same as the S3 just sort of holding them but what it it it feels a little bit
7:19 more solid um I think part of it for me
7:23 anyway is the fact that the sides are more Square I know you guys aren't going
7:27 to be able to see this perfectly by any stretch of the the imagination but the
7:30 S3 is very curved whereas the S4 has more of a flat side and what I find is
7:36 that for me personally I'm able to I'm able to hold it more naturally without
7:41 it without it slipping past me this is one of the things I like about the HTC1
7:45 where it has kind of a a bit of a an
7:48 edge on it so you're less likely to drop it for me it's more natural to hold a
7:52 device that has flat sides so the the
7:55 ergonomic changes although it's not really apparent in pictures do make a
7:59 difference and it just feels a little bit more more solid than U than what
8:04 we've seen in the past from from Samsung and I'm including my experience with the
8:08 S1 and the S2 and the S3 right um
8:12 another cool thing is of course you've got the swappable back plates which is
8:15 something the HTC1 can't do which gives you that micro SD expansion the
8:20 removable battery as well as uh the the
8:24 option to change your back plate so something like an HTC1 they're taking a
8:27 very apple- likee approach where HTC1
8:30 will look the same except silver or black the battery's really Beast though
8:34 one of the main things that I like about removable back plates is you can pretty much with every single removable back
8:38 plate you can change your battery yes um and that's helpful in case your battery
8:42 borks or just sucks but the HTC 1's battery just seems it seems to be just
8:47 kind of awesome like what was that you played music for how long yeah for um
8:50 like 6 hours that day and then I had like 35% left at the end of the day
8:54 which is just kind of like on speakers which is sort of ridiculous and pretty loud yeah like it was easy to find him
8:59 because I could just follow the music like okay um so anyway it feels more
9:05 solid also they have removable backs that are going to integrate wireless
9:08 charging uh which takes about three times longer than non-wireless charging
9:13 but from a convenience standpoint honestly if it wasn't so expensive it's
9:16 the kind of thing I'd look at and i' go yeah I'll buy like three of them and
9:20 then just leave like one on my work desk one on my nightstand
9:23 and when in the car I don't know like
9:26 somewhere where you basically just put your phone down don't think about it and
9:30 then it's charging which is very cool um honestly it's kind of criminal what
9:33 they're doing with the accessories as far as the front covers go there's one
9:37 that has a window which is neat because it uses magnets to know that that's the
9:41 front cover you have on and when you look at your phone you can check
9:45 notifications just through the window and because it's an Amed screen it
9:48 doesn't have to light up the whole thing so it just lights up that one little bit and conserves your battery but they want
9:52 an extra 20 bucks for the window version and I'm like really $20 plastic window
9:57 they're just like okay I thought it was just a cutout
10:00 I didn't even realize it was a plastic window oh no there's a plastic window so it's like the premium like cutout option
10:06 but um s translate actually works yeah
10:10 which I was floored by um I was expecting it to be one of those like
10:14 diesel uses it from time to time yep it works phenomenally well I did a couple
10:18 test runs I don't speak French particularly well but I can read
10:22 rudimentary French pretty well like
10:25 enough to know oh yeah that's what it says worked 100% with a couple test
10:29 phras phes that I did with it um the the new uh ey tracking scroll the page thing
10:35 uh does it actually work really well you know what it's the kind of thing where I
10:38 kind of looked at it I'm like oh yeah this works because what it does is it locks onto your eyes and then you tilt
10:44 your head like this to scroll the page
10:47 so it's the kind of thing where it takes probably about two and a half seconds to
10:51 lock on and then if you kind of go like
10:55 this your page is going to start going woo until it until it disengages it's
10:58 the kind of thing where I'm like oh yeah works but would I use
11:02 it no probably not what else did I want to
11:07 talk about yeah smart scrolling that's one ah yes so the other one that was
11:11 kind of like controlling it without touching the screen where I looked at it and went really does this matter was the
11:16 uh the motion gestures and I didn't
11:19 obviously think about it enough but it has a motion sensor in the front which means instead of relying entirely on the
11:24 front camera which would be a huge battery hog you can gesture at the
11:28 camera say for example if you're in a meeting you can turn on a gesture where
11:32 you put your hand over it and you kind of use the force and it comes up with a
11:35 little thing that tells you if you have any Mis calls or mis messages or whatever else um so being I mean obv
11:40 okay there's there's other gestures like you can go like this to change the track
11:44 in your um actually no no this was a good one I was about to make fun of this
11:48 one but this one's good so if you're driving you put it in a cradle on your
11:51 dash and you go like this to change the song to the next track that's cool and
11:55 I'm just like oh okay that's kind of nice yeah and there's one to answer a
11:59 call so it's it's one of those things where I look at and go okay it's
12:03 actually illegal to touch the device at least where we live so now you don't
12:07 have to touch it now you don't have to touch it just kind of go in front of
12:13 it it's like no officer I was just waving at my phone I I I talk with my
12:18 hands yes whenever I talk and I was talking to myself so I had to wave in
12:24 front of my phone do you remember that uh do you remember that driver that we
12:29 saw today there was this woman driving yeah
12:33 that was bizarre what was she doing again I don't remember I don't know what she was doing but she was driving your
12:37 car and it's like one hand I think on the wheel like at the bottom of the
12:40 wheel and their other arms like up like this yeah and I'm like what so it kind
12:44 of looked like she was either sort of conducting the music she was listening
12:48 to on the radio or really getting into like an animated aggressive conversation
12:52 cuz she was kind of like on like a Bluetooth thing or something I was like
12:56 what are you doing you're TR you're in a motor vehicle lady like this 10 and two
13:04 man just make it happen um okay well
13:08 what else did I oh yeah okay so uh TouchWiz is cool because it it gets me
13:13 away from having to use third party apps for I mean I think probably the big one
13:18 that everyone really really likes is the quick access to all your on and offs and
13:22 like the third party apps are cool I'm using power toggles on my HTC1 right now
13:27 and you've got a bunch of options and you can have up to eight icons across the top but this one's kind of neat
13:31 because it doesn't only control all of the standard options like Bluetooth GPS
13:35 Wi-Fi but also things like S Beam uh Smart Stay um Smart Scroll like the ey
13:41 scrolling and then Smart Stay is the one where it uh it doesn't uh it doesn't dim
13:46 the display if you're still looking at it all that kind of stuff so you can turn all that on and off at will they
13:50 also include little tutorials which I thought was cool for all of the Samsung
13:54 exclusive features did you I just saw something sorry give me a sec guys pull
13:59 down oh you had a huge bar of options
14:03 what options yeah righty here press that thing that's cool yeah so anyway so yeah
14:08 there's a huge all the options that you could possibly want there there's a
14:11 button on the top right and you can drop down all the options so with with my S3
14:15 and a whole bunch of other phones currently um you have to get another app
14:20 if you want to do stuff like that yeah so that's cool it comes by default other whole nox thing bring your device to
14:24 work is fully supported on this one I believe there was something that was S4
14:28 exclusive all my notes from the meeting or upstairs but uh guys expect me to do
14:32 some videos on the S4 over the next little bit I'm going to an ASUS event
14:36 next week we've got some really exciting projects we're working on for Tech
14:40 quickie right now that are taking up a lot of our time um oh man the one for
14:45 the if you guys are following on Twitter you probably saw pictures of like this
14:49 Frankenstein Funk ms3 Mouse can I I
14:52 think it's on the counter right there yeah you want to run and grab it cuz it's like actually kind of
14:57 awesome um so so we we're working on a cool thing
15:02 where the funk ms3 Mouse is uh we're doing like the making of the funk ms3
15:07 and it's going to be kind of a obviously a parody because um no one at Linus
15:11 Media Group is actually on the funk staff and responsible for making this
15:16 mouse but uh it's the first time we've ever actually brought in outside actors
15:21 to come in and play roles in our videos and it's going to be super
15:24 professionally done so that's uh that's really really exciting so Miner on the
15:29 Fly repairs um she's she's falling apart a
15:34 little bit just hold it up and I'll have
15:38 a want to bring a little it doesn't Zoom that much
15:43 yeah oh too close Less
15:47 close okay do you want to take them on a little tour through the mouse make sure
15:50 you speak up because the mic's behind you all right so I added a bunch of key
15:54 caps here just random things can you even see that very well it's okay I got
15:57 it I got it just random things I thought might be entirely not useful on a mouse
16:02 um so so I pried these off a keyboard and just kind of stuck them to it you
16:06 can see it's literally just two-sided tape that's why I said I just had to do
16:10 some minor repairs some of them had completely fallen off and some were kind
16:14 of we off by a little bit oh that fell off completely um I stuck a few random
16:19 capacitors on top of this on the right side of the click and then this had a
16:23 little circuit board that had a cable running back to the mouse wheel which is
16:26 kind of zombified on the back as well as there's another cable running along here
16:31 and then lonus and I shoved just a whole bunch more keys on this side so there's
16:35 more thumb Keys here more thumb Keys here and then this one at the bottom is
16:39 actually stock and we added another key right here so there's actually a ton of
16:44 zombification on this I wish this right here was still there because that was
16:48 actually really cool there's a little circuit board that ran a cable into the back here and it looked quite cool I'm
16:52 not sure where that went but we were just using double-sided tape for
16:55 everything so it kind of fell off yeah there's our there's our custom
17:00 lus Tech tips Edition Funk Mouse so have
17:05 a seat I can't fix the focus until you're there take from that what you
17:08 will um is there anything else we can even say about that project
17:13 um other than the video should be awesome yeah the uh the video will be
17:18 awesome I uh I was pretty amused that I had a couple people on Twitter that seem
17:22 to think that the mouse was real yeah and we're actually giving their feedback
17:26 on it as a product like oh you know I don't know if I'd use that or oh man I'd
17:30 totally buy that no no that's not an actual product it was just it was just a
17:33 joke I told you you made it too real
17:36 looking yeah cuz I told him to make it stupid and he actually put like a bunch
17:41 of stuff that was actually looked like it could possibly be useful like I was
17:45 like really but it looks good I know it
17:49 looks good enough that people thought that it was an actual product so that
17:52 should be that should be all you need to know at this point um we are going to
17:56 move the live stream yeah yeah yeah so
18:00 the Friday the Friday night time slot this will be the last one we are moving
18:04 the live stream to um our Monday
18:07 afternoons probably at around 4:00 so
18:10 the rationale for this is that it'll be
18:14 um it'll be nighttime in Europe it will
18:18 be um kind of like evening in eastern
18:22 North America and it will be I believe
18:25 what morning in Australia and that is where most of our
18:30 viewers come from um I mean look I'm so
18:34 okay for all of those of you who are not in those areas I am incredibly sorry uh
18:39 but the numbers are the numbers and we do see the numbers and so we have to go
18:44 with a time slot that a works best for the majority of the viewers and B Works
18:49 a little better for us because honestly at the end of the week it's pretty tough
18:54 to do these Friday night uh late night live streams and I'm sure he's getting
18:58 as the look on his face he's getting destroyed in the twitch chat right now
19:01 I'm sorry guys there's nothing we can do
19:04 about it to be perfectly honest I mean it's um my wife's going back to work
19:08 she's been on maternity leave with the baby so I can't do them on Fridays
19:12 anymore actually like period cannot and evenings don't really work anymore
19:17 so yeah
19:21 yeah I'm sorry guys there's a lot of people upset in twitch chat I know I
19:26 know and I totally understand uh um but
19:29 I mean I always said this time slot was temporary and that it was going to be
19:34 moved from like the very first or second one um and it lasted a long time but we
19:39 will have to move it but we will still be uploading the archives to YouTube
19:43 speaking of YouTube we are now activated as a twitch YouTube networked partner so
19:49 it finally went through and that's done so apparently that's
19:54 actually like because before sorry just
19:58 completely jumping away from what you were just talking about um live stream
20:01 timing on Australia is like not so good on Monday or I guess that would be
20:06 Tuesday morning right when people go to school and work because right now it
20:09 makes it Saturday morning for them
20:13 right anyways it's not like we really have a choice I mean yeah we actually
20:18 don't have a choice at this point if we could do it on a Friday that would have
20:22 been better but the problem is that um you know Slick's love life has really
20:27 started to take off and all the ladies that watch our show
20:31 have been lining up to get a date with him so if you want his Plenty of Fish
20:38 profile now people are going to go on a wild man hunt for some Plenty of Fish
20:43 yeah and they're totally going to find it I'm sorry dude I don't have one
20:47 yeah that's what he says you're really bad at winking huh that was terrible
20:52 you're really bad at
20:55 winking we can't all be talented at everything oh oh man I have other
20:59 talents that make up for it you wouldn't understand I'll tell you about it when
21:03 you're
21:08 older oh God that's horrible yeah I'm
21:12 sorry um so NVIDIA is going to be giving away Metro last Light with GTX 660 and
21:17 up the arms race of free video games
21:20 with graphics cards is just getting pretty heated and isn't it about time
21:25 yeah I mean how long was it that we were getting like John Woo strangle hold and
21:30 like some like racing game that no one cares about I'm like come on you guys
21:35 where are the AAA titles it was it was more back then it was more like what
21:39 game isn't going to sell so we don't have to worry about these people not actually buying it anyways so we can
21:44 give it to them for free and it won't reduce our sales and it won't actually
21:47 matter because no one will actually care and I'm tired of that mentality this is
21:52 great rewarding people for buying the hardware by giving them something to
21:55 actually play with that said I mean NVIDIA's usual MO is sort of one game
22:01 bundle every quarter or so um and as much as Metro last Light is
22:08 going to be a huge title it's going to be a really big deal I don't it I don't
22:13 really see it as that much of a response to AMD's never settle strategy it's
22:17 still a little bit more aggressive than some things they've done in the past Assassin's Creed was kind of huge y
22:22 so Batman Arkham Asylum Borderlands 2
22:26 they've actually been on not a bad run they've been ramping up of AAA titles y
22:31 but then AMD's like yeah like nine times
22:35 a like we'll give you three AAA titles
22:38 don't worry about it and then they're like oh yeah you bought some stuff before don't worry about blood dragon
22:43 it's cool blood dragon here you go like what so I I mean AMD has just been
22:48 crushing it when it's come to free games uh speaking of AMD our 7990 should be in
22:52 transit in theory so hopefully we're
22:56 going to have some videos for you guys at launch of $79.90 uh which should be
23:01 part of the current never settle which I think includes is it BioShock Infinite right
23:05 now and something can't remember anymore
23:09 but uh but anyway there you go so Metro last Light is going and that's cool so
23:14 I'm going to go adjust that camera again because it sort of is funny you're kind
23:17 of there and I'm kind of here and then there's like woo lots of space over here
23:21 so I want to intr find one of your cool topics that you uh supposedly
23:26 contributed to how do I even I don't have control of this oh yeah where's the
23:30 thing I always here of course it's on here whatever uh this keyboard's so
23:36 small tiny baby hands that's an inside
23:40 joke people won't understand for a while
23:43 um judge V vet I'm not sure how to
23:47 pronounce this uh judge something held himself in contempt and paid $25 for his
23:52 infraction so basically what happened was he had a new smartphone and it
23:55 started shouting out voice commands while he was holding Court and instead
23:59 of being like Oh yeah it doesn't matter I'm the judge doesn't matter I can like
24:04 I can screw other people over for that but nope it's fine he held himself in
24:08 contempt and charged himself 25 bucks that's awesome while that shouldn't be
24:13 an anomaly and that should actually just kind of be what happens all the time you
24:18 can you can correct yourself it's fine I'm leaning over so it'll help a little bit yeah thank you
24:22 um it it doesn't always kind of happen that way people don't always kind of
24:27 hold themselves at fault if they actually do something wrong there's a good chance I wouldn't even think of it
24:32 if I was if I was that guy like I I'd
24:35 just be like oh crap my phone oh oops ploop Yeah put it away but nope held
24:40 himself in contempt paid up 25 bucks I
24:43 think it's pretty cool it's actually really cool and like the internet's in
24:46 love with him he probably gained a a huge amount of respect that's worth
24:50 way more than $25 yeah more than 25 bucks I mean and you like you contrast
24:55 this with the uh millions and millions of dollars that have made their way to
25:01 somewhere to get sispa pushed through
25:04 and just kind of looking at it going like oh you know you got to I mean it
25:08 seems like there's so few people in power who actually try to play by their
25:12 own rules that you just have to kind of whenever one person does it it's like oh
25:16 cool oh that doesn't happen it's like an odity which it it shouldn't be but but
25:23 it just kind of is but it just kind of is so that's both awesome and depressing
25:28 ing today um all right what you got what
25:31 else you got should we do some Twitter Q&A yeah we should do we're half an hour
25:36 in we've done zero Twitter Q&A I'm sorry you guys should we take um ah no talk
25:43 about it later hey this leads into the topic that you have okay we will talk
25:48 about PS in a bit um yeah there's
25:51 apparent you know what let's talk about it now okay so much for Twitter Q&A so
25:57 Pack's Prime sells out fast what was it 20 minutes the P Prime pass 4day tickets
26:03 sold out in about I don't know I don't think anyone actually knows the actual
26:08 time because of just how Zur rushed it got the tweet from um from PAX Prime
26:16 went out 23 minutes later but there's no
26:19 way that they tweeted that out anywhere near the actual time so it was probably
26:24 like 5 10 minutes unbelievable after
26:27 announcement that 4 days sold out the final ticket was sold just under 6 hours
26:31 after announcement but those like I think it was an hour after announcement
26:37 all that was left was Monday only Badges and they moved this year to 4
26:41 days so it's like the last day where some people have to like go back to work
26:46 and stuff right so it's like yeah that
26:49 one's obviously not going to sell out as fast as the other stuff so it's kind of
26:54 ridiculous um we know nothing about media badges
26:58 we know nothing about media badges I haven't seen anything go up about media badges I have a
27:04 badge cool so slick will be doing our entire lonus Media Group coverage of PA
27:09 Prime single-handedly this will be my ninth year I will expect you to hold the
27:13 camera in front of yourself like this and be like the
27:17 fs I don't think my duck lips would really work that well if you shaved it
27:21 might help if I sh cuz like furry duck lips is even worse than regular duck
27:25 duck lips furry furry duck
27:28 DS it's like no that's horrible come on
27:33 let's see give us your best come on you got to be a sport for the Liv no I can't
27:37 I can't do it 2200 people tuned in to watch you do fre people do not want to
27:42 see free free duck you know what um twitch chat let us know let's see let's
27:47 see let us know if you'd like to see slicks fore duck lips do not Ducks die
27:51 do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it slick please do it
27:55 do it yes duck lips do it do it come on let's go here we go I saw one note I saw
28:00 I saw one note that man speaks for the
28:03 entirety of humanity right now could be a lady that that that person speaks for
28:09 if it's a lady her viewership should count more because we have less of
28:17 them that's more like
28:22 fish my laptop might it just turned off I don't want to I don't want to oh what
28:26 a poor sport anyway so Prime sold out and we have no idea what's going on as
28:32 far as whether we'll be able to be there or not so there you go we were we were
28:36 really expecting to at least have some
28:40 information about media passes even PAX East this year there was they talked
28:44 about it a lot more I might have missed something I've been looking for it quite
28:47 a bit I know PAX East it was fairly transparent I haven't seen anything yet
28:50 about PAX Prime if you have seen something please me message me on the
28:54 Forum so we can figure that out sure yeah let us know cuz I totally met have
28:57 Miss something okay here we go apparently Northern lion LP and lus Tech
29:03 will be streaming at the same time on Mondays I'm sorry to hear that that's
29:08 bad we might have to look into this live stream time yeah more I mean we haven't
29:13 completely decided it's just that looks like the time that will actually work
29:17 for us we can't do late Friday nights anymore yeah that is not actually a
29:20 possibility that's done as of this so uh
29:24 so next Friday there won't be a live stream at all uh next week there won't
29:28 be a live stream at all and the following week we will kick off our new
29:31 live stream time at whatever time it is we'll try and figure something out right
29:35 now though it's looking like Monday Robert says first time watching a live
29:38 stream live uh because of the nut job on the loose yeah well no I heard that he's
29:42 uh I thought he's in custody now I last I heard he was on a boat and they were
29:46 chasing him so there's no way he got that far yeah I saw a headline that said
29:50 uh one dead one in custody but I could be wrong I mean I think there's been a
29:54 lot of conflicting reports so hopefully you guys won't um you guys won't sort of
29:59 twitch chat says they got him yeah okay there you go so apparently they got him
30:03 and good oh he was hiding in the boat oh
30:06 okay so they weren't chasing his boat they just found his boat yeah that's good be in a boat but don't move the
30:11 boat it's very smart I mean that's these are the kinds of people who blow up
30:15 innocent people because they're obviously
30:19 brilliant glad they caught them at any rate you know Go internet and all of the
30:23 uh you know data analysis that went on I don't know if it ever led to anything
30:26 but Reddit had a huge thing going on on this pretty massive they had more they
30:30 had like a few was kind of cool uh Chris
30:34 goham asks should I build a gaming rig now or wait till E3 well there won't be
30:38 anything new at E3 so uh make of that what you will what
30:43 mind you mind you Haswell is going to be launching around that time same SAR is
30:47 that what he mean for oh maybe he doesn't mean for announcements maybe he
30:50 means new games maybe he means new games
30:53 I mean there's lots of new games now lots of games to play right now so if
30:57 you're waiting for new games wait till November yeah yeah but don't wait till
31:00 November to buy a PC five months
31:03 honestly I just there won't be new graphics cards between now in the end of
31:06 the year in all likelihood unless it's late in Q4 if you've got something good
31:10 I would wait till Haswell if you're dying I would just get something now let
31:14 get something now from what we've seen Haswell is not going to be some kind of
31:19 um you know conro thing where it's like
31:23 we go from like Dark Ages computing power to way more I mean if you I mean
31:27 honestly it's one of those things where you can kind of look at it logically and go okay uh you look at Intel's die
31:33 diagram of it and go all right well the actual CPU die area didn't increase but
31:38 it's got like a really big like Graphics core now so if you're planning to use
31:41 the onboard graphics on Haswell then
31:44 wait for Haswell if you're not then um
31:49 it'll still be a little bit better but it's probably not worth the wait it's better than playing on a console yeah
31:54 speaking of consoles except for Super Nintendo has that for a yeah except for
31:57 super Nintendo which we still have to do um that is my ultimate segue of the
32:01 night into the next gen Xbox I don't
32:04 know much about it but I know you need some add-on for retroactively playing
32:10 games so there's a oh oh fire it up there and we're going to do our new
32:14 thing oh I'll fire it up there I was
32:17 like how am I supposed to do this speaking of fired you're fired for what
32:21 for not firing it up I I don't know I had no ability I'm on a segue roll
32:26 getting a segue roll yeah I was really high pitched one okay
32:32 that segue was fine segueing into firem me you have no grounds to fire me for
32:36 that segue roll though come on that was awesome that was terrible that was
32:40 awesome oh this is the wrong one that's not the one I want I want the uh yes I
32:45 want the VR Zone rumor okay so hey hey
32:48 go go go okay so uh VR zone is claiming
32:51 that the new Xbox 720 will be requiring
32:55 you to buy a mini add-on to play older
32:58 games now with the original Xbox 360 they gave you backwards compatibility
33:02 with Xbox games but my understanding is a lot of the time it just didn't
33:05 freaking work so there's that um most of
33:08 the really really AAA mainstream titles did work but with a couple notable
33:13 exceptions honestly um I'm going to play devil's advocate here and I'm going to
33:18 say I like this
33:21 approach what do you think I don't know
33:24 I don't really care dedicate okay okay imagine that you care imagine that you
33:29 actually were going to spend 15 bucks yeah it's 150 bucks 150 bucks so it's
33:34 basically a lot of money that's kind of brutal okay it should be able to play
33:39 backwards compatible like it that shouldn't be a big what do you mean by
33:42 should though this is an x86 architecture it's completely different
33:48 from the Xbox 360 okay that actually does kind of make sense it's not like oh
33:51 I'm upgrading from Windows Vista window basically so basically it would increase
33:55 the bomb cost by so much that it would be nice to have it cheaper for everyone
34:00 and then if you do actually want to play Backwards comible stuff you can add that
34:03 to it if you do actually want to play old games and you don't actually already
34:07 have an Xbox 360 which is kind of funky if you want to play old games you
34:11 probably already got an Xbox 360 I mean yes I understand the convenience factor
34:15 of not wanting to press a button on your receiver to switch the HDMI input but
34:20 from my perspective trade in value from trading in your old Xbox that's true
34:25 that's true you don't get trade in value mind you it's cheap enough at 150 bucks
34:30 to me it looks like they're not taking a bunch of margin I suspect what's
34:34 actually inside it if this rumor turns out to be true is basically just an Xbox
34:38 360 because it couldn't cost much more
34:42 than 150 bucks to basically build an Xbox 360 now one thing don't scream
34:46 anymore I don't think attenuation is working oh everyone was like oh God my
34:50 ears oh sorry about that um so I don't
34:54 think uh where was I Xbox 3 60 something
34:58 something something one thing how much how much resale value do you think you
35:02 could get for trading in a Xbox 360 I have no idea cuz if you could get like
35:06 least 100 bucks if it's a 100 bucks just trade it in and buy the thing right so
35:11 it's one of those things where I look at I go you know what it's not a bad solution because if you're giving that
35:14 so what it'll do is it'll make it so you don't have to okay rumored allegedly uh
35:18 it'll make it so that you don't have to have two separate HDMI connections out
35:21 so it's kind of like a pass through which will lead us to our next thing um
35:25 so you can play your older games and and you can not have two boxes and you can
35:30 unload your old Xbox 360 and because what I suspect they're doing is they're
35:35 basically just putting a small Xbox 360 in it the compatibility should be better
35:39 than a cluggy solution like what Sony implemented with the PS3 originally
35:43 right is this um okay I might not be
35:47 right about this Xbox 720 always on
35:50 right that's rumored to be not necessarily true it's actually in this
35:54 same article on vrone but I mean everything's very very much up in the
35:58 air right now so the latest rumor will require a separate add-on May cost a few
36:03 gold coins uh however something
36:06 something something yeah uh the rumor is that it will not require an always on
36:11 internet connection to play games locally but we'll see uh and more
36:15 importantly Microsoft probably won't be blocking the playing of used games on
36:19 the new console which we will see about I have no idea how true any of that is
36:23 if that's not true if it is always on so
36:26 we're taking some kind of Leaps and Bounds here which
36:29 might not ever happen um if the add-on thing inherited the always on yes then
36:35 that would be terrible that would be brutal I'd want my old Xbox 360 back
36:38 exactly but this is very possibly not even worth talking about so
36:43 whatever so speaking of pass through um
36:46 The Verge had an interesting article about Microsoft's plans for the Next
36:51 Generation Xbox taking over your TV is
36:54 sort of their uh their the sensation
36:58 half of their otherwise not that Sensational headline because interact
37:02 with your cable box is probably more like what it actually sounds like
37:06 they're planning to do so similarly to Google TV your cable box would go um
37:12 HDMI out into your Xbox which would then
37:15 pass through to your TV now it's going to depend on Microsoft having
37:19 relationships with the content providers to even be allowed to circumvent
37:23 whatever hdcp whatever else is going on with the HDMI signal but uh the plan is
37:29 to inject a layer on top that would be something like it could be Marketplace
37:33 it could be a more advanced guide and listings for TV shows it could be
37:38 additional content Netflix whatever else it'll inject on top of what you're
37:43 already getting with your set top box I mean um I suspect a lot of it will only
37:47 work in the US um particularly at launch
37:50 but yeah I mean could something like this make the Xbox part of your living
37:54 room even though you have no use for a console from a games
37:59 perspective I I don't watch
38:03 TV what do you do I play video games and I program and I don't have any time
38:09 because I work so much right okay fair enough um the other thing that Microsoft
38:13 looking at is how to make the connect make the living room experience more
38:17 engaging so things like being able to track multiple people at a time uh being
38:21 able to track eye movements so if one person looks
38:24 Away movie paused with which is the kind
38:28 of thing where I okay hold on hold on
38:31 could be like settings though who knows how advanced the Next Generation connect
38:34 is so maybe the nextg connect is so Advanced I can go only pause it if I
38:39 walk away yeah well that would seriously be a thing cuz like your sister is
38:43 sitting on the couch and goes uh looks at her phone and like like well I don't
38:49 want my movie to pause and my imersion to be destroyed and my I thought you
38:54 don't watch movies I watch I said I don't watch TV
38:58 watch
39:02 movies so much trolling so the immersion
39:05 level being reduced um everything it just destroys the whole
39:09 experience pausing a movie sucks everything pausing a movie sucks
39:14 well except when you're the one who has to pee then you should have gone
39:18 beforehand sometimes you drink a lot of beverages during the movie H water today
39:24 over a span of about an hour and a half and then between like every shot he was
39:29 like oh I have to go to washer you're exaggerating not by a lot there was two
39:34 shots in between there all right what's our next topic I guess if you if you add
39:39 the take yeah shots because we don't count takes you only count shots okay
39:44 well uh moving on to some more Twitter Q&A uh no there will not be a live
39:48 stream on this coming Monday great question and it's too close to this one
39:53 I don't think it makes sense it'll have been like three days and it'll have been a weekend what do we possibly expect to
39:58 have happened um why will it not be on Saturday or Sunday what what what what
40:03 what what stream down why is the stream
40:06 down I am so sick of Windows Live Movie
40:09 Maker like cutting this thing together it takes so long what the actual hell is
40:14 going on here it's back up hello
40:17 apparently we're back hello so hold on let me just check
40:23 the xplit recordings let's see if it uh if it splited apart 233 Megs apparently
40:29 it didn't split apart so there you go I have no idea what happened there that's
40:34 someone telling you that streams yeah I'm sure it is uh someone else that I'm
40:39 going to be blocking on my phone after Android's awesome it has a block feature
40:44 so all I had to do to uh to get rid of any of the people who were calling or
40:48 texting my phone was just click block and then I actually don't hear from them
40:52 anymore so we were worried that we'd have to change his number because he got
40:56 yeah trolled so I actually it was just a few people that
41:00 were obnoxious and they're all blocked and so I think they who who knows they
41:03 might still be trying to call but I don't even know so yeah there you go um
41:10 question here why will it not be on Saturday Sunday because we do have lives
41:15 and he has a baby guys like like
41:19 sacrificing my time is one thing you're not actually at this point I don't even
41:23 care about sacrificing his time I don't care about his time at all you're
41:27 sacrificing his baby's time man so yeah
41:30 I'm not a fan of babies some people might know that but as a dad you still
41:34 need to spend time with your baby so I
41:37 actually work Monday to Friday and I actually work a lot more than 40 hours a
41:42 week outside of the live stream so I'm actually not going to be doing it on a
41:46 Saturday or Sunday so I mean thank you for the suggestion but that is actually
41:50 not going to happen uh when do we get to see the new offices we're not going to
41:54 be moving for a couple months I think it's like 3:00 to 4 a.m. am in Southeast
41:58 Asia sorry um one thing that we can do I
42:03 haven't pitched this to lus at all so this could be interesting is we can grab
42:06 all the time slots that are a possibility throw them in a poll on the
42:10 Forum sure this won't happen now oh god
42:14 of course you're getting spammed it's okay I'll just shut them all off after and then block them yeah and then I'll
42:18 just block them um it's not going to happen now I'm not going to do it now so don't zerr The Forum now don't bring it
42:23 down yet we'll save that for build logs um yeah
42:27 uh but sometime this weekend maybe after the stream or something I'll jump on or
42:31 lonus will jump on we'll make a poll in the Forum News section or general sure
42:38 you'll see it because I'm sure tons of people will POS in it and we'll post all
42:42 the time slots that are even possible for us to do and then let people vote
42:47 sure um someone asks about South America
42:50 aren't we important you guys are in the same time zone as
42:55 us what do you want and everyone's important we just like
43:01 honestly baby like I said before uh if
43:06 you're going to use the S4 how about the Android 30-day trial I'm going to finish
43:09 out the HTC1 30-day trial the S4 demo
43:12 unit I got has its own Sim in it so I can play around with it without
43:15 interfering with the 30-day trial uh some cars are coming out with integrated
43:19 wireless charging put the phone on a certain place on the dash and it charges that's very cool that is really cool and
43:23 that'll probably be one of those sticky pad slots too very very very maybe uh
43:28 you know that thing diesel keeps talking about every once in a while where it can project uh uh images onto your
43:33 windshield that yeah for like GPS maybe they'll have the wireless charging and
43:38 sticky pad right where that is that would be soet that would be so awesome
43:41 that would like actually be the sweetest thing ever I don't know a lot about this
43:44 if you want to know more about it tweet diesel the intern he'll talk to you
43:48 about it yeah he he knows he knows all the things I I'm pretty sure he follows
43:53 every news show I I swear his room have
43:57 more monitors than mine and mine has a lot and they must just like multiple
44:00 Reddit Pages like every single news show that's actually casting right now every
44:05 Reddit page oh oh check this out I did
44:08 it when you weren't looking we have okay so someone uh someone helped me capture
44:13 slicks duck face oh I thought I was going to get away with that actually uh
44:17 yeah you actually actually didn't hold on a second hold on a second is that
44:20 even actually a duck face hold on I got to share this with I got to share this with everyone just a sec just a sec hold
44:26 on I don't even I'm not even going to look
44:30 hi twitch chat add screen region let's
44:33 just add this whole screen so uh also it's lagging so there's pretty much no
44:37 point in you doing this cuz it's lagging so much there we go so there you guys
44:40 have it that is slicks FR boom you just dropped it just
44:47 dropped what the stream I think how could it possibly go down from that oh
44:50 no they're all just laughing at me now there we go but it's lagging like crazy
44:55 all right you look Fant fantastic this is this is why we like you cuz you're
45:01 awesome all right so let's go back for those of you who weren't with us earlier
45:06 I challenged slick to uh to to to to
45:09 give us his best duck face so uh stream will keep on lagging for 20 seconds or
45:14 even go offline for a minute or two in what situation we I don't know uh
45:19 seriously guys get a camera slider your advert video we have a slider we have
45:23 slider shots in the Seagate Wireless Plus video we have slider shots in the
45:28 upcoming video we have a slider hello
45:31 from Toronto it's late here how high do motherboard manufacturers prioritize the
45:35 ITX segment of the market quite High what ITX yeah since when there won't be
45:41 anything at launch yeah but they still support it
45:45 yeah they still support well I mean ASUS has a high-end ITX board which is like
45:49 Beast gigabytes ITX board doesn't overclock still it's ITX ASUS's one is
45:55 boss ASUS's one is like Beast a few other that are really nice yeah for a
45:59 weird subcategory like that that's pretty supportive this is driving me crazy what
46:04 is it there oh what if I sit up no no it
46:09 doesn't matter it's all good it's just that it was uh well now my head's cut
46:12 off well that's okay because diesel explained to me that it's okay to cut
46:16 off someone's head as long as you don't cut off their chin oh yeah zombies or
46:22 something I'm going to go back to leaning cuz I like that more anyways so
46:26 uh okay what were we talking about oh yeah we were doing Twitter Q&A I hey you
46:29 guys like the g710 plus yes it's nice
46:32 and one thing that pretty much no one knows is it comes with black O-rings under the keycaps yeah very cool which
46:37 is like an aftermarket mod type thing they're not going to be able to see that
46:41 oh little little O-rings under every key cap that make it quieter by the way
46:44 don't just pull your key caps off do it with a proper key yeah yeah why what
46:47 what are you doing man what what did I what I just wanted to give a shout out
46:51 to your forums they help me pick upgrades to improve my stream great Community awesome thanks miles hopefully
46:57 you continue to go there while we transition to better forms cuz currently
47:00 they suck yeah let's not no no it's okay I hope
47:06 it's coming soon let me just put it that way it's hopefully coming soon uh PS4 is
47:10 only going to be able to play PS3 stuff only through the cloud not on the
47:14 console itself so if you have not very
47:17 good internet which was I'm sure what this viewer meant to say um there you go
47:23 interesting speaking of PS4 and and uh
47:27 streaming games over the Internet let's talk about that Sony
47:31 thing oh okay where is this let's pull
47:34 up the thing right right right right system I believe Japan is rolling out 2
47:40 gab internet which will bring fiber
47:43 directly to your house and then each house will need its own something box
47:48 that I don't remember the name of that will convert the fiber to onu box that
47:52 will convert the fiber to proper ether de so this was a new new story submitted
47:57 on the lineus tech tips Forum by vrb
48:01 747 and the the most uh obvious question
48:05 that I've heard from people is what could anyone possibly need 2 GB internet
48:09 for most computers these days come with a 1 gbit Connection in the back to which
48:14 I would reply well guys lots of households have more than one computer
48:21 now so your Winks are horrible you're so
48:29 bad anyways it's like you don't have to
48:33 wink with your whole face I can't otherwise oh really yeah I legit can't
48:37 oh yeah I have like a condition oh it's called not able to wink
48:41 itis it's the only way I can do sorry Mike that was probably really loud so um
48:46 so anyway so vrb 747 thank you for contributing that to the new section of
48:50 the lus tech tips Forum guys do check out the news section it's gotten to the
48:54 point where I think over the last month or so traffic in that section has about
48:59 10x which is uh which is outstanding because it's turning the Lin of tech
49:03 tips for into a great place to go to check out the latest news by the way it
49:08 goes in the tech news and reviews section not the Forum news we should
49:13 probably clarify that at some point I'm probably going to lock off Forum news
49:17 clarify it like and make it so that people can't create new topics because
49:20 realistically you're just supposed to be commenting on topics that are already there right but that'll probably be when
49:25 changed it to Forum news and announcements or something like that so
49:30 that it's more clear maybe okay we'll figure it out but that section is not
49:33 actually for news from the random community that is only for perform news
49:38 I'm not done talking about 2 GB internet so basically Sony's going to be bringing
49:42 fiber right into your house um for the
49:46 low cost of what are they charging 50 bucks a month 50 or 60 or something 50
49:50 or 60 bucks a month which I saw a few people in the twitch chat go like oh but
49:54 it's that expensive man man we pay that much for like lowend
50:01 cool internet like 15 megabit down what is it 512k up or one Meg up it's it's
50:06 not might be 512k up I think for like the $60 plan on Shaw yeah so like that's
50:12 incredible depends where you live maybe you have a better
50:16 situation not so much let's continue our conversation from last week would you
50:21 cut off a toe for 2 GB internet for a
50:24 toe which toe uh toe yes middle toe
50:27 do you even need that one don't think so would would you cut off a middle toe
50:31 like would okay hold on I'm going to make it gruesome though would you like
50:34 consciously without numbing cut off your middle toe what if it was free for the
50:39 rest of your life but then that won't be that high performance but you'll be high
50:43 performance for an awful long time 2 gbit internet on fiber is going to be
50:47 low latency and high performance for a very long
50:54 time would it scale to would would it scale say it scales it scales let's say
50:59 it scales you would cut off your middle toe like is thereand look at it is there
51:03 a bandwidth cap bandwidth cap let's say
51:06 no maybe I I might chicken out like um
51:10 chcken out like you have to use like uh bolt cutters really yeah why are you
51:15 making this so it has to be gruesome why does it have to be gruesome but like
51:18 just hold on no no just just but okay there's there's a there's a trained
51:21 medical staff next to you ready to go
51:25 would they put me out right after I do it cuz I'm pretty sure you put someone
51:28 under if their toe is missing I don't think so really yeah why they probably
51:33 just locally uh cuz you might go into shock local anesthetic okay whatever
51:37 they're going to do whatever they need to do I'm not a medical professional I don't know not at all so don't listen to
51:42 me but bolt cutters on the toe would you do it for 2 gig internet now and it
51:45 scales see I would like to say yes right now but honestly I think a lot of people
51:51 say yes outside of situations and if you actually sat them down in like here are
51:55 the I will get the B Cutters you'd probably have me in a barn in like a
52:01 metal chair in like the most gruesome creepy situation this sound really bad
52:06 you'd probably why would I have you in a barn in a metal chair oh God what why'
52:11 you have to take it there why did you take it there no no no I said I me like
52:15 I meant like uh what's his name I said there's medical professionals would you
52:18 like to play a game what's what's his would you like to
52:22 play a game that's his tagline there's multiple movies
52:27 Chucky no I don't know I've hor mov way
52:30 more recent maybe my I don't know horror movies saw twitch chat knows twitch chat
52:35 knows everything twitch chat does know everything actually saw saw have you
52:38 you've heard of Saw right I've heard of never seen you like to play a game yeah
52:42 it's all creepy and all messed up I feel like you would have that weird
52:45 creepiness messed up Factor but you'd get 2 gigabit internet out of it but I
52:49 think by the time I sat down I might I might chicken out but I would like to
52:52 say yes now I think there's a onetime fee to actually get it into to your
52:56 house that's probably pretty brutal which is probably pretty brutal but I
52:59 mean that's sort of that's sort of life um I think you have to subsidize stuff
53:03 like this a little bit I think we're an awful long way away from Canada reaching
53:07 this level of internet connectivity but the reason I did segue into this is that
53:12 this level of Internet 2 gbit per second
53:16 low latency fiber it would be capable of
53:20 streaming
53:23 games it's coming but the place that has
53:26 always had the fastest internet has it and nowhere else has it and it's going
53:30 to take so long for other places to transition but you look at look at
53:34 companies like Nintendo and Sony these Japanese companies how many cares do
53:37 they give exactly that only Japan can use a lot of the technology they build
53:42 yeah none yeah zero so that means there
53:47 will be customers for NVIDIA's grid technology which is their cloud-based
53:51 gaming uh so remote gaming servers um so
53:55 there will be customers there will be grids being deployed it will be a real
53:59 thing very soon I'm interested to see how many massive outages there are
54:05 because it doesn't matter at all what
54:08 backend you have every single big launch in so long has had failure launches
54:13 because no servers can support it okay well would it be any different than
54:16 already it is then it's going to be worse you think
54:20 so uh apparently there are people coming
54:24 home so a fairly large group of randoms just pulled up um but it's it's way more
54:29 server power cuz they have to do all the graphics rendering on their end right
54:33 that's nuts but that won't affect network doesn't matter the server
54:37 backbone will not be able to do it all right well nowhere even close like the
54:41 graphics power to power all that is going to be nuts how few people are
54:44 going to have 2 gbit connections though are those people going to overpow I
54:48 think there will be a slow ramp they'll have time all of Japan they're going to have time to build like 40 super
54:53 computers on top of each other this going to be nuts
54:58 I think I think we're far from it like very far from it because of Graphics
55:01 power you and I can agree to disagree on the network backbone is definitely there
55:04 you're right but Graphics power for all those people is going to be nuts cuz
55:08 people are going to be like okay I'm playing at like five frames per second this is
55:12 pay more get more frames oh
55:19 huh wow free to play but when you
55:22 connect it's super slow so you suck or when you connect it plays at like 480p
55:27 or like 320p right and you upgrade to a
55:30 premium account to make it look better or like an Uber premium account to get
55:34 more Graphics horsepower and then maybe maybe it's you're actually accessing the
55:38 server so you pay like monthly fees based on how good you want your
55:42 connection to be and you get to play all your games at that rate it's
55:46 coming they'll they'll they'll do tons of stuff like that they'll do tons of
55:49 stuff that's it will scale it will be just like the most bizarre head turning
55:54 thing ever really help them manage the graphics power it would help them manage
55:58 the graphics power and network y of course both of them and they could just
56:02 be like lol 2 260p 40p good luck exactly
56:06 uh and for some games it wouldn't matter we tennis who cares yeah yeah um okay so
56:12 here's a big thing Fox oh I forgot to put down the link for this one okay well
56:16 H crap I forget where I saw this link but foxcon has settled with Microsoft
56:21 over Android licensing fees so this is fascinating because the rumor has it
56:26 that the uh cuz Microsoft's already settled with a couple guys and the rumor
56:30 has it that Microsoft is extracting as much as $10 or more per Android
56:36 device um in Li in software licensing fees how many cares does Microsoft give
56:43 about Windows Phone 8 at that point honestly I mean I'm sure they care
56:48 they care but like oh yeah you guys are making phones good job good job cuz
56:53 we're up to uh what was the new number 1 billion total Android devices Shi to
56:57 date was it was it to date I thought they said they were going to ship a
57:01 billion this year okay it's well I don't think it's going to be a billion this
57:04 year that's a lot I I don't remember what it was anyway something to go
57:09 something to do with a billion and something to do with about uh over half
57:13 of Android devices are apparently being tacked on with Microsoft licensing fees
57:18 according to a Microsoft rep so there's that so if they sell another billion
57:23 within a much shorter period of time looking at the way are ramping Microsoft
57:27 will be collecting exactly that many billions of dollars just for sitting on
57:33 their butts watching Android out sell everything else I've had I've had people say 1
57:39 billion by the end of the year and I've had people say 1 billion to this date
57:45 and I've had more than one person say though 1.5 million activations a
57:50 day which is nuts wow because that means
57:55 what Microsoft $15 million a day for not
57:58 making things oh that's so balling well no less
58:04 than that cuz they were saying more than half so let's say $7.5 million dollar a
58:07 day still for not actually making anything that's awesome no R&D that they
58:13 haven't already done years ago right um no tooling of the device do they care if
58:17 they don't sell surface cuz they um uh Microsoft was actually this uh tied into
58:22 one of our other topics from last week which was uh um the report that the PC
58:27 was dead and iPad was killing it and PC sales were down 14% And then a report
58:32 came out this week that Microsoft's profits were up something like 14% or
58:36 17% or something like that uh I can't remember I don't we don't have it in
58:40 there I don't think it ever made it to our stream um outline but I'm kind of
58:44 looking at it going yeah I don't think they actually mind if
58:49 not too many copies of Windows 8 so so
58:52 they're just like H Microsoft Will Survive that's something we've learned
58:56 they'll be fine they're figuring I mean they're figuring out content distribution with things like the Xbox
59:00 music store they're figuring out gaming
59:03 in a way that I think Sony kind of
59:06 forgot um so so they're figuring out that they're figuring out finally I mean
59:10 they tried with media center PC that was
59:14 2002 XP Media Center no no the PC will
59:18 be an integral part of the home living room environment here we are over 10
59:22 years later and it looks like the nextg Xbox might actually finally get there
59:27 but they've been determined they're going to do it uh so they're finally
59:31 getting to that point I'm not worried for Microsoft Media Center PC was pretty
59:36 cool but like how many people did you know that had
59:39 one right so one right yourself two two
59:43 my parents and my then girlfriend's parents
59:48 so it's because you distributed it them right that's pretty much the same
59:52 experience that I had whatever man it's like places that I
59:58 put it in that's the only places I knew it existed places that I put it in and
60:02 then went and helped them fix it over and over and over
60:06 again yep yeah oh I got to restart it again oh it's Windows
60:12 a uh we should do what time is it we should do the rest of our community news
60:17 items yeah Community news items here we
60:20 go so for those of you who haven't seen this this is fraking awesome why don't
60:24 you uh why don't you he um why don't you do this one from
60:29 the Forum posted um uh the the xit Labs
60:34 article about the $79.90 malta being
60:37 available through an eBay sale it is prohibited to sell engineering sample
60:41 items on eBay and just in general please it's just not really okay um so here
60:47 I'll let you take over I'm just going to go find out who that is at the yeah
60:50 that's probably not a bad idea before all of our stuff goes missing and we
60:53 can't make videos anymore hey anyways so this guy puts up a $79.90 Malta on eBay
61:00 and expects it to actually work or he's trolling I'm not really sure either he's
61:04 he's an idiot or he thought it would be funny I think that's really all that is
61:09 left to that um but yeah it got up to
61:12 how much let me check this really quick guy on the Forum mentioned it
61:16 $96,400 from IP changer or charger that's that's
61:23 insane I I brought that up with lonus earlier and he mention mentioned that it
61:26 was probably someone trolling they weren't actually going to pay that much
61:31 I don't know I think that might have been legitimate which is terrible
61:34 because even if you make a review of it or anything you're not going to make
61:39 back anywhere close to that amount of money like nowhere even remotely close
61:43 to that amount of money not even not even on the same scale like you couldn't
61:48 weigh those against each other and the funny thing is unless you're a reviewer
61:51 unless you have some kind of a hookup you can't get drivers for it yeah
61:56 you actually won't be able to run it until the Embargo lifts I would hope
62:00 that that guy would at least give you a driver with it uh maybe it ships with a
62:05 USB driver driver might not have one um no no usually they don't you've seen how
62:10 they distribute the dri no I know through yeah through like an FTP
62:13 whatever you could download it put it on USB drive and Sh it with your
62:17 $96,000 must been a joke I think you could give the guy freaking a flash
62:22 drive for his $96,000 speaking of engineering
62:27 samples we are officially Haswell up we
62:31 can't put them on anything yet yeah we don't have a motherboard yet speaking of
62:35 not having the drivers to run the hardware we we don't have the
62:38 motherboard yay look it's a chip and the top is kind of silvery
62:43 colored a Haswell h lower power yeah you
62:47 know how many times I've done this where I've just been like holding the new CPU
62:51 knowing that actually I can't do anything with it it's like every
62:56 generation the chip always arrives first um the ASUS thing that I'm going to
63:00 should hopefully have some details on their side but so far I haven't heard
63:05 anything solid from any motherboard guys I think MSI's got boards lined up for us
63:09 uh Gigabyte said they're going to do their best to have boards lined up for us so we have all the hells actually
63:14 that's one of the four that arrived in the mail for us people are saying open
63:18 it but the like these ones are so boring
63:22 they're white box you guys I mean what what do you want here hold this for a
63:26 sec sorry um I got you twitch chat yeah
63:30 don't worry we're on this okay here we go Haswell this particular one is a
63:37 4670k there you go comes with uh oh my goodness a stock
63:43 cooler stunning a stock cooler that looks
63:47 exactly like a thermal compound amazing
63:50 pre-apply revolutionary cool your face you put it on your face oh lame I got it
63:54 on my face it's all right is it is it okay it's all right okay cool um so
63:59 there's that yes okay what's next it's
64:03 revolutionary I know changes everything this changes absolutely everything
64:07 again changes the changes again the
64:10 changes are changing on in a logarithmic the fashion The Innovation
64:14 is amazing chip beautiful pads on the B
64:18 revolutionary I think this is all low time it doesn't change how many times
64:22 have we seen this we've been done the spec for a while oh oh that's probably a
64:28 pretty solid indicator it's
64:31 down why oh this is frustrating last time it
64:37 just revived itself so we can uh maybe
64:40 the the epicness of Haswell just people are saying Intel was like nope yeah the
64:45 epicness apparently we're back so the epicness of Haswell just destroyed the
64:50 live stream because some employee at Intel was like smash laying the hammer
64:55 down there like control all of the internet um but yeah we've seen this
65:00 time and time again it never actually changes we're talking a couple percent
65:04 here and there this chip has been finished for months essentially let me
65:08 put it that way like the kinds of tweaks that they're making in the months
65:11 leading up to a launch remember Intel sets a launch date like an actual day
65:17 like months in advance how could they know that it's going to be ready that
65:21 day because Intel is not like some you
65:25 know cheap software company with two letters in their name that starts with e
65:29 and ends an a where they're just like release date if it's not ready release
65:33 it anyway Intel does QA like we're never
65:38 going to get EA sponsorship ever we gave
65:42 up on that a long time ago it's just over and done with at this
65:46 point maybe if they sent us a pizza with our next
65:52 game uh but anyway I mean it's been done for months which B basically means that
65:57 um the chip that they're testing is pretty much done and it also means that
66:02 whatever board which has pretty much no logic left on it now that the chip
66:07 itself is integrating the PCI Express controller the memory controller the vrm
66:13 the voltage regulation modules which was part of our topic last week that we
66:17 skimmed over a little bit that I'm going to launch into here um there's not a
66:20 whole lot that the motherboard actually contributes to the performance anymore
66:24 besides just providing a conduit for
66:27 traces to go to like the memory slots um so speaking of Haswell there
66:33 was an AMA on Reddit a number of months back where an Intel engineer said it
66:37 would be an overclocker delight and I think a lot of people uh assumed that
66:41 that would mean that unlike ivybridge because Sandy Bridge was a great overclocker Ivy Bridge had better
66:46 performance per per megahertz than
66:50 sandybridge did but it didn't overclock as high so they ended up being for all
66:53 intents and purposes for overclockers equally performing platforms I think a
66:57 lot of people assumed that that meant Haswell was going to overclock like a
67:01 bad out of hell again but what he might have actually meant is that due to the
67:05 integrated vrm you going to be able to buy a cheapo motherboard and you're
67:11 going to be able to get the same kind of overclocking performance as an expensive
67:15 motherboard which by the way two motherboards running two chips at the
67:19 same frequency I don't care what board it is are going to be within margin of
67:24 error of each other in terms of performance when it comes to overclocking increasing the system
67:28 performance it only does it if you can
67:32 get more gigahertz a trend that we've been seeing lately that you actually
67:36 picked out a while ago is that people are building really really high-end systems and they don't want to put a ton
67:40 of cards in them because they're just going graphics card oh it looks good I
67:43 don't want to touch it I don't want add any more cards leave it leave leave it how it is I don't no no I don't want to
67:47 touch it um lonus and I always put in sound cards and he's got a raid card
67:51 he's ra card with eight ssds on it and
67:54 I'm just like yes my Cable Management isn't perfect but you know what I
67:58 actually have Hardware in my machine like we enjoy putting Hardware in our
68:01 machines
68:06 so wow so anyways um I'm I'm wondered I
68:11 wonder I can't even talk now that was ridiculous I wonder with Haswell if
68:14 we're going to see a lot more card heavy machines cheap motherboard throw a
68:19 custom Nick throw in your custom sound card buy a buy a $119.99 board buy a
68:25 proper sound card buy a proper I don't know like what a like I mean ssds are at
68:30 the point now where the onboard controllers are not able to keep up with
68:35 multiple ssds so if people want to actually get the most performance
68:38 possible out of their storage system they may need a third-party RAID
68:42 controller speaking of which for the longest time um people would ask me is
68:47 there any benefit to raid zeroing ssds and having run everything from a hard
68:52 drive to a cached solution to an SSD to
68:56 a better SSD to a better SSD to an 8 SSD
69:00 array in my personal machine over the years um I would always tell them
69:04 actually no it really doesn't make any difference um I was wrong because I mean
69:09 okay yes it makes a difference in benchmarks that much is clear but I've
69:12 had people ask me dayto day do you notice a difference and I didn't notice
69:16 when I upgraded to my 8 SSD raid zero array and it didn't bother me that much
69:21 when my personal rig was down for a long time and I wasn't using it but now that
69:26 I'm back on it I'm like oh yeah it
69:29 actually makes a difference I watched some some program openings that were
69:33 kind of ridiculous like he runs a fairly decent SSD you've got an octane 256
69:38 right which is not the best SSD in the world but it's good it's a SATA 3 SSD
69:42 it's not a bad drive but it's just like
69:46 it's it's it's the responsiveness I didn't realize what was missing until it
69:50 was taken away and then I was given it back and I'm like oh okay right this
69:54 this is good speaking of which my personal rig is 100% up and running now
69:58 the only thing I'm missing is cosmetic I'm missing the glass panel for the side
70:03 window and then I'm also missing um little grommets to cover things with
70:08 what are you Tech it can't turn on right now that's not my personal rig the RAM
70:12 is oh no no I put gskill RAM in it a
70:16 yeah and when you finally bring the server back from NC I I will be able to
70:20 deck it out hey that's doing good things right now yeah I know okay I just need
70:23 that RAM for my rig all 64 gigs of it there's 48 in there
70:29 yeah but I have 16 okay in my in my rig right now so yeah like what
70:34 Bam um what were we talking about oh yeah we
70:38 wanted to do the rest of the news items so here's our here's our next rumor so
70:43 this one looks pretty interesting we're going to hopefully we actually what's
70:47 going on oh there it is oh that's funky we actually know nothing about this yeah
70:52 but good bites contributed this news topic wow 00 post Good Bites contributes
70:56 a lot to the news section Thank you Good Bites thank you good bites you are the
70:59 man or lady person guy dude dude is kind
71:06 of both no one says dudette yeah you know
71:10 what's weird people also say guys yeah hey guys in reference to entire groups
71:13 of people so G Good Bites is one of good
71:17 guys one of several Good Guys regardless of gender and I mean you know what hey
71:22 gender's not so much just like an hon off switch anymore there's that sort of
71:27 that whole gender Spectrum discussion so good bites good individual good human
71:32 being or even multiple people I mean schizophrenia is a thing good good or
71:38 organism or you are a great organism okay let's settle on that from now on
71:42 okay um is that even technically right I think so cuz he could be multiple
71:47 organisms if he has a parasite inside him
71:54 yeah
71:59 anyway what is politically correct going to come talk about this anyways so
72:03 NVIDIA's releasing some new gpus allegedly allegedly we actually have no
72:08 idea the first I heard of this was actually Good Bites post so so uh
72:14 according to the post it won't be Maxwell Next Generation but rather a
72:17 refresh of the Kepler series which makes sense because like everyone else um you
72:23 know NVIDIA seems to follow that in Tik Tok strategy where it's um process
72:29 shrink architecture change process shrink architecture change so we've
72:34 we've got Kepler now maybe a process shrink reduction of heat and power
72:38 consumption maybe some more overclocking Headroom some bug fixes some performance
72:41 improvements which all makes sense for process rink all in all I'd expect a GTX
72:46 780 to be 10 to 15% better than a 680
72:49 just guessing but maybe 20% better maybe
72:52 it overclocks a little better maybe it's lower power consumption all the
72:55 makes sense um however go ahead the main
72:59 thing I'm hoping for is no plastic extensions yeah I want full PCB no ego
73:04 extensions on them you know what's funny is uh have you seen a reference
73:08 7790 cuz we didn't have a reference one when you were doing your testing I have
73:12 not actually it has a long PCB but like
73:15 two inches of it are just blank honestly I still rather that
73:19 though i' I'd rather a PCB than than a
73:23 plastic extension but it's like oh so
73:27 what I'm hoping if this does turn out to be NVIDIA strategy is that um someone
73:33 launches a completely new architecture because AMD as far as I know has been
73:38 talking about the end of this year something going on that's another rumor
73:43 allegedly we don't actually know for sure honly no idea but if they launched
73:46 a completely new architecture that could put NVIDIA at a bit of an advantage for
73:51 the next few months but then at a bit of a disadvantage in uh in the months
73:56 following that I mean especially if AMD can launch something in time for uh
74:00 here's an article on it on PC per by the way there's the fudzilla link so we can
74:04 go check that out I mean fudzilla take it all with a grain of salt it's
74:08 fudzilla yeah I actually met fuad for the first time at CES 2013 really yeah I
74:13 ran into him he's uh super soft spoken I was surprised yeah I was uh I was hanging
74:18 out with Josh from fractal oh cool and uh and fudo knows him apparently they go
74:23 way back so they were talking that makes sense um fudo didn't had no idea who I
74:27 was of course so I was like okay that's okay it's like one of those things it's
74:31 like I get pulled over by the do you even know who I am I'm lest Tech tips
74:34 from YouTube like you can't give me a ticket I make videos on YouTube yeah
74:39 exactly like don't you know what internet famous means I walked through a
74:43 forest once and chugged hot sauce oh
74:46 that was painful he that was by the way the red bottle was hot sauce and he
74:50 actually did it was like you know it would have been smart to put something
74:54 else inside it did not think of
74:59 that like legit did not think of that um
75:03 so we've got two more very important items coming up these are going to be
75:07 our featured build logs of the week so slick take it away Desert Storm Desert
75:11 Storm is the first one we are not logged in so why don't you talk about Desert Storm while I log Us in Desert Storm is
75:16 an awesome tribute to just picking the right color scheme parts and like
75:22 envisioning your build before you do it and then leave your power supply
75:25 properly and just having something that looks so much more than some of its
75:30 parts without putting like way too much
75:33 into it so this is a like great looking computer looks absolutely awesome
75:37 hopefully Linus can actually log in so I can stop um stalling stalling for time
75:43 as I talk about how the computer looks good there we go so he picked like a
75:48 desert stormy kind of color scheme you know what I'm going to zoom out a little
75:52 bit that actually looks better zoomed out there we go so everything kind of
75:56 Suits it all looks good you can tell it was planned out
76:00 beforehand nice uh tough tough series board selection tough series board the
76:05 right color Vengeance corer Vengeance memory looks good that's great looking
76:08 sleeving that he's got on there MD PCX
76:12 yep I wouldn't mind seeing things a little bit tidier in here but honestly
76:16 mine's not much better so I can't and it's still pretty good can't criticize
76:20 too much I noticed that too actually but it's still it's not bad it's not bad at
76:23 all I mean at least it's sleeved but uh you can you can get your groupings a
76:27 little bit tighter than that great job on the sleeving look how even that is
76:32 yeah it's it's not quite as good on the power supply but people won't see that
76:35 really yeah mine's ghetto on the power supply just because it doesn't really
76:38 matter yeah yeah so you can see it's a little
76:42 bit more choppy there but as we both said earlier it doesn't matter he's got
76:46 some really nice photos I really like that one this one this one very Cooler
76:50 Master V8 this looks really cool Cooler Master V8 I don't think gets enough
76:53 credit no it's very cool looking it performs all right it's not a bad heat
76:58 sink by build as well cuz it's kind of
77:01 there we go there's the money shot yeah so he so he he must have planned it out
77:05 he must have envisioned it beforehand he picked the right parts he sleeved his PO
77:09 spine it just looks really good yeah this is the kind of build that is uh
77:13 very doable for you know someone building a new rig that I mean obviously
77:18 you need a bit of a budget to make a machine like that but it's not one of
77:21 those crazy like you have to own your own like water cutter
77:25 to you like sold your house and bought a few machines and some tools and some
77:29 parts and built a computer so it's it's
77:33 which we're not saying is a problem no not at all of course that's yeah that's
77:37 why I don't have anything not at all except my computer's not that great this
77:41 one is just nuts the Psychedelic machine
77:44 it's called it's nuts I I'm going to let it kind of speak for itself once we get
77:49 down here a little bit so he's picking some parts access PC displays okay yeah
77:54 so he's just just installing lighting there and this is car lighting that he
77:57 just adapted into Molex plugs okay that's doable it's just 12vt lighting I
78:02 know so you're starting to see the kind of crazy color scheme coming in okay so
78:06 we got red on the rad green on this bit of tubing right here Lord only knows
78:11 what kind of coolant he's going to put in here or she all the fingerprints on
78:14 the power spot yeah almost done ooh it
78:18 it he paints it black wood paneling wow
78:21 it's he's like uh he brought into it it's it's kind of easy to work with like
78:24 it looks sharp okay okay red the panel's
78:28 not on yet red mod on the pump red and
78:31 black sleeving more Green Tubing all right it's nuts is that the uh the aqua
78:37 or Alpha cool it looks like it cuz it's got the I see the filament in the middle
78:42 okay it's not a filament but whatever wow it's
78:46 crazy look at that coolant the reason
78:49 why this mainly got in here is his awesome custom wood panels right and the
78:54 fact that it's just absolutely nuts absolutely like pants on head ludicrous
79:00 look at this he's intentionally left extra space at the top of the res so you
79:03 can see it pour in so the water can pour in which makes it louder and more
79:07 obnoxious but I don't think louder and more obnoxious is a problem he's
79:11 probably going for that he's probably going for loud and obnoxious here it's
79:15 it's awesome it's such like a cool build you don't see stuff like this that uh
79:19 the phobia UV LEDs are better uh they have much higher density so if you're
79:23 out there oh we didn't even say who this who contributed this build oh Slayer 677
79:30 not quite 666 not quite not actually
79:33 better than that he's just a Slayer one more than that um but yeah if you want
79:39 to swap those out for the phobia ones they're quite excellent I actually
79:43 encountered tubing that glows like this or a coolant that glows this strongly
79:47 once and it was uh it was some weird
79:50 brand I can't even remember from like Germany or something I still have a
79:54 bottle of it upstairs it glows like
79:57 nothing I've ever seen before um been saving it for sort of a rainy
80:02 day so that's just absolutely wacky toy
80:06 I don't even like it's nuts there's no more um but it's just that build is
80:12 crazy love it so love to see these kinds of awesome builds guys don't forget to
80:17 post in the build blog section of Linus Tech tips forum for a chance to be
80:21 featured on the live stream which uh gives you the
80:26 um self-satisfaction once once the new
80:29 forum's up we are going to be looking I haven't you don't even know how much
80:32 I've talk to you about this but once the new forum's up I'm doing this so
80:36 whatever man um yeah once the new
80:39 forum's up I'm going to look into custom badges and stuff so you can have them on
80:44 your profile whenever you post it'll show on the side and stuff you have a little emblem or a badge or something
80:49 and we'll have like News contributors News contributors build log guys just
80:54 like different awards that you can get so there'll actually be something to
80:57 show for now um you get a bro fist you
81:01 get a bro fist and wind speed has a sticky at the top of the build log
81:04 section with everyone who's been featured oh okay cool and that post gets
81:08 fairly frequented so that's pretty cool you can check yeah a great way to show
81:11 off the the hard work I mean it's one thing to work really hard on someone and
81:15 then like your sister and your like your friends are
81:19 like okay really that's your computer it
81:23 looks like a disco you're just like oh you don't
81:28 appreciate this and they're like yeah no we don't so it's it's great to have
81:32 someone who actually appreciates what you've done look at
81:35 it speaking from experience yes that's brutal okay why
81:41 don't we I think our last uh news item of the week is a bit of an ongoing thing
81:46 right now if you go to diablo.com um
81:49 we're going to link right here to the euro gamer article about a gamer who's
81:54 been band from twitch.tv so uh slick you want to cover
81:59 this one do you even have the live stream note something on your computer there I'm trying to De with something
82:03 else that's going on right now so no I do not okay I'll cover it um okay so
82:07 basically uh this gamer who's been who's a Diablo I gamer who's gone by the name
82:12 of zillian op has was pretending to be
82:18 paralyzed uh from the waist down he was pretending that he was stuck in a
82:21 wheelchair and couldn't walk um in order to in addition to his game streaming
82:26 which presumably his streams were decent otherwise I doubt anyone would have
82:30 really uh cared that much it was often him and his girlfriend and sometimes
82:34 other people so it was kind of a group of them that would all go together so so
82:37 they'd all go together they were streaming presumably it was all right he
82:41 um uh asked for money to get a wheelchair asked for money to uh travel
82:47 to move in with his girlfriend asked for just generally money there's been an
82:51 estimated $20,000 donated over the time that he's
82:56 been running this little scam just sort of asking people for money because of
83:02 soab story boohoohoo I'm a wheelchair bound gamer I mean I I suspect there's a
83:07 lot of people who game who are in wheelchairs the like the problem is
83:11 there's people that are legitimately disabled yes that are trying very hard
83:16 to make it and are trying to stream and they enjoy it and there's communities
83:20 built around it I can't remember the name of it and then there's this butthole who there's this just
83:24 pretending like like look no hands that guy's amazing there's a guy that's blind
83:29 who does uh let's plays he's done a whole let's play of okarina of time it's
83:33 amazing that's incredible there's tons of all these different people like that
83:37 is awesome and if you donated a whole bunch of money to someone who plays Call
83:42 of Duty without hands because he doesn't have any or someone who plays Zelda
83:45 because he's blind that's cool people who actually have a disability so they
83:51 actually are not able to do other things
83:54 necessarily as well as or as easily as other people it's like yeahor them is
83:59 cool but supporting you know this guy and I'm not saying it's the fault of the
84:03 people who supported him don't take it the wrong way but you know someone like
84:06 this asking for support is just the most offensive kind of wrong and like how how
84:13 must that feel if you were one of the people that you're like you know what this guy's cool I want to help him out
84:17 because it must be hard for him right now and donated to him and then you
84:21 figure out that the guy is a scam so in a clip of the incident the the player is
84:25 shown leaving a game in progress by standing up and glancing at the camera
84:30 he doesn't appear to rise entirely straight but seems to be walking uned uh
84:34 yes here's the uh the miracle clip hopefully you don't lag
84:40 out oh no it's oh yeah is
84:49 shared so he rolls in like you guys just saw audio's on
84:55 so it
84:59 down so he rolls in he's talking for a sec skips to the end takes off his
85:05 headset and oh those legs look like they
85:08 work a little bit so his girlfriend's trying to tell him in code that he left
85:11 the camera on and so the excuses were he pushed off
85:16 his chair and he said he and wiped out
85:20 which I really don't think happened no claimed the dog knocked over his water
85:24 balll onto a bunch of cables girlfriend later claimed that he was going through
85:28 physiotherapy but it hasn't been working very well and apparently you can even
85:32 see I don't I haven't been able to see it but and see he puts points the camera
85:35 down so that he can get back into his chair without anyone seeing him walk
85:39 into his chair which is brutal like it's just so the internet's
85:44 not impressed with you sir not impressed with you at
85:52 all in happier news if we jump away from
85:55 this our folding team is doing great uh in the chimp competition if you haven't
85:59 heard about it check the post on CH challenge chimp challenge competition um
86:04 jump on the Forum check out the post our members of our folding team not everyone
86:08 but a few members of our folding team has joined forces with overclockers
86:12 decom I believe sorry for the bad information blah blah blah blah blah
86:17 overclockers decom yes so we've joined forces with them because it was too late
86:20 for us to sign up with as a team and we're not actually big enough yet but we
86:25 are one of the fastest growing teams so we're thinking by this time next year we
86:29 should actually be big enough to compete which is pretty crazy because not that
86:32 many teams very new yeah and yeah our
86:36 team's really new um so yeah go help them out the chimp competition like
86:42 honestly you're just pushing for a good cause like it's a fun competition to
86:46 help everyone on the planet there are no losers yeah so that's cool except that
86:51 guy in the wheelchair who doesn't actually jerk face hopefully we don't
86:55 help him yeah anyways that's yeah but
87:00 yeah check out the chimp competition um wher one of the mods on our Forum that
87:05 manages all this kind of stuff is building a 4p folding system which is
87:08 just going to be absolutely insane um
87:13 he's going to be making a post about it soon but his folding setup is just
87:16 monstrous 4 P for the record doesn't mean that it facilitates urination it
87:20 means that it has four processors
87:31 oh man let's do a little bit of Twitter Q&A
87:35 I think that's it for our topics for the night though H yeah I know uh so we're
87:40 just going to do a little bit of Twitter oh you know what actually we're going to
87:44 close off the live stream here because um we've noticed that people aren't
87:49 really watching it for well you might want to okay we're going to come back on
87:52 YouTube yeah we'll be back uh so we'll be back for Afterparty but we are no
87:57 longer going to be uploading the Afterparty segment to YouTube so to do
88:02 that what we're going to have to do is cut the stream for a second and we'll be right back we'll be right back give us a
88:07 moment thanks for watching tonight everyone who's tuning out now or who's
88:11 well we have to do an outro because when people watch this on YouTube there has to be remember how many people
88:16 complained that night when we didn't say goodbye right bye bye everyone watching
88:20 on YouTube and we'll be back everyone
88:23 that's live let's live on Twitch when com subscribe favorite share what else
88:29 can you do is there anything else you can do um you can give us money for a
88:32 wheelchair that we apparently don't need my legs don't work please don't do that
88:36 don't watch any videos that we've done recently my legs don't
88:40 work a jerk horrible
