0:00 Linus tech tips coverage of ces 2014 is brought to you by ncix.com your source
0:05 for great technology selection and service along with Corsair memory and
0:09 western digital hey guys we're here at the fantex booth checking out a few
0:12 cases one of which Linus should have reviewed by now but hasn't that's the
0:15 enthu primo and he will be getting to that hopefully shortly after ces but for
0:20 now we have the lux and the pro and a few extra options for the primo that
0:24 should be coming soon on the front panel of the lux we have two usb 3.0 two usb
0:29 2.0 mic and headphone in a reset button
0:32 a light changing button which i'll show you in one second and a power button up
0:36 on the top which is not behind the hidden door within the hidden doors that
0:39 light changing buttons so as you can see there's led bars around the case which
0:43 are not going to shine directly in your eyes if this is almost anywhere because they
0:47 shine down onto the case which is nice because it won't annoy you way too much
0:51 because the rest of the case is all black and black matches quite literally
0:54 everything so as long as you go with black and then change to whatever color you want it's going to match the rest of
0:58 your build moving to the top of the case you can fit up to 420 millimeter
1:01 radiators with this nicely removable fan filter which is actually quite solid
1:05 sometimes with fan filters i'm worried that they're going to warp if i take them off too many times but this one
1:09 seems quite solid moving into the case we have our reservoir quite nicely
1:14 displayed here more closer to the front of the case mounted quite nicely on that
1:17 bracket but you could also put it in the back just in case you have a really long
1:21 graphics card so they have a spot right here which would work very well for you
1:24 with a just nut and bolt to be able to bolt on a radiator right there moving to
1:29 the back just so we can see it easier but you can access this from the front too right in the middle of the front
1:33 here they have a nice plate for some pumps so it's you can mount quite a few
1:38 different pumps there and that's really easily accessible in a nice because it
1:41 has a rubber mounting for the pump where you're mounting the pump and it has
1:44 rubber mounting on the bottom of the feet of the mount for the pump so it's
1:47 nice vibration dampening they also have a radiator here in the front which you
1:51 can mount there or lay it down at the bottom and if you mount it here you
1:54 can't have any hard drive cages but if you mount at the bottom you could have a hard drive cage
1:58 hanging from right here so you have a ton of different options just in that small little area then moving to the
2:03 back of the motherboard tray you have a pwm splitter at the back which comes
2:06 with it it's quite nice it supports up to 11 fans which is solid and you can
2:10 get additional if i think you just have to buy them as accessories and then you
2:13 could split out to different areas and have different temperature zones so say
2:17 this top radiator you only want the fans going at certain speeds depending on
2:20 what temperature it is you can set that area different than the radiator that
2:23 you have down here whatever you want to do if you get different modules for that
2:26 they also have SSD mounting spots so if you do like their configuration here where you
2:30 don't have the hard drive cages you can mount ssds just right on the back of the
2:34 motherboard or down here as well they also have an adapter plate to hide the
2:37 power supply in the basement in their current configuration it wouldn't work
2:40 because you'd hit some of the tubing and some of the fittings and stuff but if
2:44 you felt like being crafty and going along with this configuration you could
2:47 cut this guy a little bit and then make it fit and it works really well with the
2:50 case because it looks exactly the same and there is rubber grommets built into the side which is really fancy Linus's
2:55 full featured coverage of the anthu primo is coming so we'll just be kind of
2:58 going over the newer options that they have here first of all they have a
3:01 standard white one now and then for special editions they also have orange
3:06 and white and red the orange and red will all of them to be completely honest
3:10 have a sandblasted aluminum style not a brushed aluminum which i like quite a
3:14 bit because your fingerprint burn-in is not nearly as bad there's been cases in
3:18 the past where i've built them wearing those like weird white gloves just
3:21 because i have fingerprint burning problems like mad so i'll leave like a
3:25 crime scene across the case which is terrible so this is a much better style
3:29 in my opinion and finally we have the pro this is a cost of down version of
3:33 the lux and it is very aggressively priced when you come to the inside it no
3:36 longer has the basement it no longer has the reservoir plate on the kind of front
3:40 inside area it no longer has the pw pwm splitter on the back of the motherboard
3:45 tray and it no longer has one of one of
3:48 the 140 millimeter fans that come stock on the lux but like i said it is costed
3:52 down and all of these things can be added later you could buy the accessory for the basement and the reservoir plate
3:58 and you could buy another fan to go put in there so if if you need something
4:01 that has an initial lower investment it's definitely not a bad idea on the
4:04 outside in comparison to the lux you you lose a few things as well the most
4:08 notable and what you'll obviously see first is that the lighting features are
4:11 not there so on the i o plate everything is the same as well except for the
4:15 lighting button and then at the top you lose that extra shroud that you had so
4:19 you could fit fans there and the super super easily removable fan filter but
4:23 you can still remove this fan filter to clean it elsewhere thank you for watching our fantex content be sure to
4:28 rag online as to get that review out faster as always thank you for watching
