So, what I'm going to be doing today is a bit of a precursor to a full NCX tech
0:04
tips episode that I'm working on behind the scenes. I'm going to be doing a
0:08
quick practical demonstration of SSD versus hard drive. So, what I've done is
0:12
I've taken these two computers and I've restarted them and I just want to do a
0:17
um an apples to apples comparison of the boot time between an SSD, which is the
0:22
system on my left or on Yeah, your left, my left, same left. And a mechanical
0:28
hard drive. We're running the Western Digital 1 TBTE black hard drive. Okay,
0:33
so I want to show you just how much faster you can boot into Windows and
0:37
start using your computer when you're running a solid state drive. Now, I've
0:41
kind of run out of things to say. So, what we're going to do is we're all just
0:45
going to sit together and watch. So, I'm
0:48
going to go ahead and demonstrate that the computer is instantly usable with an
0:51
SSD drive, whereas even with a hard
0:54
drive. Okay. So, I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to click on Internet Explorer as soon as I possibly can. I
0:59
mean, we're done over here. Still logging into Windows. Even once you see
1:03
the desktop, the computer will be quite slow to respond for a while while it
1:08
gets caught up. And you can see even the web page loads more slowly. I can't even
1:12
I can't even switch to Internet Explorer right now. There we go. I had to click
1:16
twice. So, that was just my quick demonstration. There we go. We loaded
1:20
the web page of SSD versus hard drive in sort of a very practical everyday
1:24
scenario.
