0:00 So today I've got something really cool to unbox. I have the G155 mobile gaming
0:06 environment. And I think what they mean is briefcase designed entirely to fit a
0:12 console and a screen inside. Now it comes with the screen, but it does not
0:16 come with the console or the controllers or Okay, here we go. Console and
0:21 accessories not included. So that's that's that's important right there.
0:24 Although it does include some accessories. It does include an HDMI cable. So, speaking of HDMI, it comes
0:29 with a 15.5 in HD LED display, an HDMI
0:34 dedicated input, stereo speakers, and dual audio jacks. Over on the other
0:38 side, you can see it is designed for PlayStation 3 Slim, Xbox 360, so that's
0:44 more slimmer than the original Xbox 360, which it is also designed for, although
0:49 some Xbox 360 consoles will require the use of a component to HDMI converter.
0:54 Oh, okay. Hey, I guess that's the older ones that did not come with HDMI. All
0:57 right, the G155 is a self-contained mobile gaming environment that lets you
1:01 stay in the action when you're on the move. Just strap in your gaming console,
1:05 store your accessories, select your favorite games, and you're good to go. The G155's integrated HD display, stereo
1:10 speakers, and dual headphone jacks will immerse you in your favorite game wherever you are. Just pop it open, plug
1:15 it in, and play. Cool. The components
1:18 that are included, you know what? We'll go through that when we actually open it up. Play. Supports your favorite gaming
1:23 console. C. Integrated 15.5 in HD
1:26 display lets you catch every detail of your favorite games. Cool. Crank the
1:29 integrated stereo speakers and dual 3 and 12 mm headphone jacks and protect.
1:34 The rugged case protects all your gaming gear from minor impacts. Now, this next
1:37 one is huge. Travel lightweight design
1:41 complies with airline regulations and carry-on guidelines. That is cool. So,
1:46 you can actually use this to well stand in an airport very inconspicuously. This
1:52 guy would not get questioned by airport security. I can guarantee you that. You
1:56 can use it to uh to travel or you can
1:59 use it to uh recreate that old old MTV
2:04 commercial with the chair and the guy being, you know, blown away by the uh by
2:08 the music. So, you can do either of those things. Let's go ahead and open
2:12 this baby up. Now, I'm not going to be doing a demo with this particular unit
2:17 just yet, but I will be following up with one. And
2:24 okay, but I will be following up with a
2:28 demo of the unit after we do the unboxing video. So, let's have a look at
2:32 these accessories that are included. There is a wall wart here, which is
2:36 going to so that'll be used to power the screen itself. You will need to plug in
2:41 your console separately. So, that is two power jacks for the entire unit once you
2:46 put in the console. Next, we have a little tiny HDMI cable, which as you'll
2:50 see will be as long as needed for this particular unit. Nice soft closed cell
2:56 foam, very durable. Wouldn't worry about this thing getting damaged in shipping
3:00 at all with that stuff packed around it. In the bottom, you see the same thing.
3:05 And I will go ahead and put this aside while we take out the unit itself.
3:16 Wow, it's very cool looking. Well built actually. It feels like like luggage
3:20 actually. Okay, so let's take a look at the outside in detail before we open it
3:26 up. Great little G logo there on it. All
3:32 right, on the bottom you can see we've got rubberized grippy pieces here, here,
3:37 here, here, and here. So, when you put this down, it's actually gonna keep it
3:42 flat. So, it's Oh, it's a little Okay. Well, right now without a console in it,
3:47 it's pretty heavy on the one side, so it might seem inclined to tip over. I
3:51 suspect once you put the console in, it's going to sit very easily, and it's
3:54 very difficult to move around with those rubber pieces down there. The handle is
3:58 right here. So, you can see it's got two metal rods on either side, and that
4:03 should be able to support the weight of it, no problem. on this side, which is
4:08 clearly meant to be at the bottom. That's where the console sits. You've got one, two, three rubber strips. And
4:13 on the other side, as you guys saw already, we have the manufacturer logo.
4:18 So, let's go ahead and you know what? Let's put it down here. Just open it up
4:23 like that. Lift it open. And that'll be a little
4:28 bit easier to do also with a console sitting in it. And there is the mobile
4:32 gaming station. So, inside we find a
4:36 user's manual. Let's go ahead and take out this little pack here. Got some
4:41 Velcro strips to hold down your console.
4:44 Cool. Cool.
4:48 Okay, let's flip this over.
4:53 So, manufactured week 25 of 2011.
4:58 All right, we've got an insert here. So, this side is for the PlayStation 3 slim
5:04 and Xbox 360. And then this side is for
5:07 the Xbox 360. So, since I'll be installing an Xbox 360 in here, I'm
5:11 going to go ahead and put that in. So, you can see we have some uh little
5:16 padded storage compartments here where you can store things. And then you can
5:21 just pull on a rip cord here. You
5:24 tighten that up so that it's not going to go anywhere in transit. Okay. Same
5:28 thing on the other side. storage compartment here. You can pull on that.
5:32 You can cinch it shut and make sure that nothing comes out. This is for securing
5:37 the console as I mentioned before. So, these just run through the the loops
5:42 which are down here. Okay. So, I would
5:46 recommend leaving those. I mean, once you put the console in, you're never going to take it out anyway. So, you
5:50 strap it in, velcro it down. Those aren't going anywhere. And now, let's
5:54 have a look at the display itself. So, you can see it comes with a protective
5:57 plastic cover. So that is a glossy display. All right. Remember guys,
6:03 glossy does help with the vibrancy of
6:07 the image. Although there are certain disadvantages to glossy style displays
6:12 and that is when you don't have adequate shade for the display. You can get a
6:17 fair amount of reflectiveness off it. However, check this out. With the
6:21 included shroud over the G155 gaming station, it
6:27 actually provides some shade to the display. So, if you're sitting in front
6:31 of it like this, I would expect that unless you have a light directly behind
6:35 you pointed at the screen, you're not going to have too much difficulty with
6:39 that because it's going to provide some shape for it. Now, in terms of controls
6:42 on the screen itself, let's just come in down here and have a look. So, there is
6:47 what appears to be an IR sensor. There's a power button. your stereo speakers
6:51 here and here. We've got volume down, volume up, brightness down, brightness
6:56 up, uh, a menu button. There is the
6:59 power input, and here's the HDMI input.
7:03 And this is cool. So, two dedicated headphone jacks. So, if you didn't
7:07 already know that this is a special skew
7:10 just for this particular unit as far as
7:13 the included TV goes, then you should know that by now because A, it has their
7:18 logo on it. Okay? And then B, it has not
7:21 only the speakers, but also the two headphone jacks. So that means that if
7:24 you're on the go, you can plug in either a little wireless headphone thing, which
7:27 I have one. They're really handy. And then you can have two separate people using their wireless headphones, or you
7:32 can plug in just two regular headphones, and you can have two gamers running at
7:37 the same time off the screen without any difficulty. So here, the HDMI cable goes
7:42 here, and then it's just going to plug into the back of your console like that.
7:46 And then the power cable is going to go right here. And that'll plug into power.
7:51 And then power will come off the back of your console, which you can also run to
7:54 a nearby power outlet. Speaking of which, the length of the cord might be
7:58 relevant to some of you. So, I'll just show you how long it is. So, you should
8:01 be able to reach without too much difficulty a nearby wall outlet. In
8:05 fact, let's try and find a nearby wall outlet that I can reach from there. Look
8:08 at that. Ha, it worked. Success. All
8:12 right. So, I look forward to bringing you guys an update once I've had a
8:16 chance to actually game on this guy. And thank you for checking out my unboxing
