0:07 So today is going to be a bit of a first for me. This is the only
0:12 backpack that I have ever unbagged on my
0:15 channel and there's a very good reason for that. This is an Averki backpack and
0:20 it is designed for technology users like
0:24 myself. So, my backpack that I usually use is a Windows Vista brand backpack.
0:30 And we're going to see how well the Averki stands up to the kind of load
0:35 that I typically carry around with me, including, you know, mouse, mouse pad,
0:40 um, a tablet, you know, various chargers. We're going to see how much
0:44 room it has and how well it can accommodate these things. So, come here
0:48 and have a closer look. Okay, so aki style that works. This is the Averky
0:52 Beacon. And what has it got to say for itself? in terms of features. So,
0:56 innovation is the result of challenging the mind to overcome the obstacles that
1:00 others have sidestepped. The design studio uses this mentality to consistent
1:03 employ new and unique ideas in the creation of our products. I've heard
1:07 very good things about these backpacks. So, I'm actually quite excited about
1:10 this 180° variable opening front pocket.
1:13 Okay, cool. Uh 4point weight distribution for added safety and
1:18 comfort. Okay, neat. Uh stowaway weather
1:22 resistant shield. That's handy. Dedicated paddic notebook slot with
1:26 anti-cratch fur liner. Okay. Quick
1:30 access hip pockets with mobile phone audio vents. That's handy as well. Dual
1:34 reinforced handles for lifting heavy loads. Where are the dual reinforced
1:39 handles? H.
1:42 We'll have to find those a little bit later. Oh, well, here's one of them.
1:46 Okay. And that does look reinforced. Integrated audio cable management loop.
1:51 Okay. Interesting. What else we got in here? limited lifetime warranty
1:54 protection. Okay, that's handy. So, why don't we why don't we get started here? So, on the back, we've got a couple kind
2:01 of a adjustable looking straps. Got a
2:05 couple little loops right here. We've got Aha. Here is our uh dedicated audio
2:10 cable management doodad. So, you can run
2:13 your cable up through here and up through here. So, it won't get caught on
2:19 anything when you're taking your backpack on and off. That is incredibly
2:22 handy. The overall padding quality on
2:26 the straps, I'd say, is very good, comparable, if not better than my
2:30 existing uh Windows Vista backpack. But
2:33 then I think almost, as far as others, most people are concerned, almost
2:37 anything is an improvement over Windows Vista. So, let's go ahead and put it on
2:41 and see. Okay, so sits right on right where it should on the shoulder. Okay,
2:46 let's see what else we got here. That looks like probably the stowaway
2:51 weatherproof shield. Now, weatherproof is sort of uh one of those things that
2:56 gets thrown around an awful lot. I wouldn't expect to be necessarily taking
3:00 this, you know, on a motorcycle with you in the rain and expecting nothing inside
3:05 to get even damp, but I would expect it to keep the rain off enough that nothing
3:10 should get damaged or soaked through this layer and then this layer and then
3:15 whatever else that you have inside the bag. So, that is a very cool little
3:19 feature. And the fact that it stows away like that means that you can just kind
3:22 of cram it away and only use it and only have it affect the aesthetic of the bag
3:27 when you actually need it. So, yeah, there you go. Weatherproof shield. I
3:30 could have just read that little tag and then I'd have known what it was. So, with audio vents, here are the audio
3:35 vents. Although, oh, look at that. They're not just um simple openings. So,
3:40 they should actually be a little bit weather resistant themselves. That's
3:43 kind of nice. There we go. Yeah. So, there is a fabric on the other side of
3:47 it, the liner. You can also use it for, you know, school. If you're like, if
3:51 your mom's like, "Why do you need this bag?" You could be like, "Oh, cuz I can store my pens and calculators in it."
3:56 But really, what you're doing is you're putting like your phone and your DS in it and whatever else. Do kids still use
4:00 DS's? I don't know. This one does not have the audio vents, but it has a
4:05 slightly different cable management system, and it does have a loop for hanging, you know, keychain or whatever
4:10 else off of it. So, that's kind of handy. There you go. You got two little pockets there.
4:15 Overall, I'd say the build quality is just outstanding on this so far.
4:19 Materials used are very, very robust feeling and all the zippers have slid
4:23 very, very easily.
4:26 Okay. Well, that was my fault. Okay, so let's keep going. Here is the 30 or
4:32 180°. Oh. Oh, there's the other reinforced handle. So, there's the two
4:35 reinforced handles, and they are definitely about as reinforced as they
4:39 get. So, let's keep undoing things here.
4:43 Let's see what this is. So, here we have
4:47 some storage stuff. So, there's a pocket there. Love
4:52 lots and lots of individual little pockets. Helps you stay organized. So,
4:55 that goes in there. And then we've got
5:00 Oh, hold on. Let's do this one first. So, there is the laptop. Ooh, check this
5:05 out. So, it's not real fur. Very disappointed about that. Actually, I'm
5:08 not. It's okay. So, it's not real fur, but that is very, very soft. So, let's
5:13 go ahead and see if it will fit my huge
5:17 15.4 inch gaming laptop. Wow. Very
5:21 easily. Tons and tons of space left over
5:24 once I put my notebook in there. So, that's uh that's awesome. It barely
5:28 barely barely fits in my uh in my Microsoft bag. So, here, why don't we
5:31 leave that in there, actually. All right. So, let's keep going here.
5:36 So, Here
5:40 is a Oh, is this the inside piece for
5:44 the notebook bag? You know what? Give me a
5:48 second to figure out how this works. Okay, so we figured out how the 180°
5:52 opening thing works. You just undo these buckles and then these zippers actually
5:56 go all the way down to the bottom of the bag. However, I'm not going to bother
6:00 doing that for the video. And then this just looks like another padded like
6:04 pouchy thing that you can that you can put stuff in. So, this does go in here
6:09 with its furlined protectiveness. And then, you know, maybe if we had a tablet
6:13 computer that we wanted to have a little bit of extra padding, we could chuck
6:17 that in there. Although, it looks like you could keep like another laptop in it. No problem. Although, you don't have
6:22 to use it. So, you can take it out. And then you've got a bunch more pouches and
6:27 pockets and stuff. So, actually, that's probably a better place for my uh for my
6:31 tablet. There we go. Throw that in there. And then we've got pieces of
6:36 Velcro here that help you to keep this button closed. It also will hold this.
6:41 Nope. This is to close this. Okay, good. Now I understand. Okay. I mean, really,
6:46 it's how they intend you to use it is sort of not that important, but the the
6:52 most important thing is just there's lots of different ways to organize your stuff in here. So, we've got this is
6:56 just a divider. It doesn't go all the way down to the bottom, but feels fairly
7:00 well built, so it should stand up to the test of time. And then this can be
7:03 closed up there so you can hold in whatever is there. And then you finally
7:07 got with more padding on the bottom. Although how Oh, that's that's kind of
7:10 that's kind of cute. Dual dual usage padding. So that's your rainproof shield
7:14 down there. And then finally some more pockets. So this is where I might keep
7:17 something like spare batteries or uh jeweler screwdrivers or whatever other
7:22 tools. And oh, look at that. They're lined with uh with nice soft material
7:27 also. Look at that. Oh, that's awesome. Even the sides.
7:31 Pretty good attention to detail in here. I can see why these bags are uh are
7:35 becoming so popular. Cool. Well, I think
7:38 that pretty much covers it. So, just to uh to remind you guys again, this is the
7:43 Averki Beacon. And I think that it would
7:46 uh Oh, look at that. The bottom is like a very, very thick, robust, rubbery
7:51 material. You could pretty much drag this thing around and I wouldn't expect it to be subjected to any real damage.
7:57 So, thank you. Here. I wouldn't be complete without, you know, a fashion
8:01 show shot of it.
