So today we'll be unboxing the BFU Wave
0:03
Tooth. This is, and I'm just quoting from the packaging here, first
0:08
waterproof BT headset can swim. IPX8
0:12
certified to waterproof. 3 meter, 24 hours. Noise rebound technology makes
0:17
clear talk. 13 hours extra long talk and
0:20
music time. And it has stereo earphones
0:24
included for music as well as waterproof earphone included. Check that out. So,
0:30
this is a pretty unique product in that um Okay. Well, here, hold on. Let's go
0:35
through all the uh well, there's no need to Okay, it has a 30 360 mAh lithium
0:40
polymer battery. It has Okay, we've covered the Okay, standby for 240 hours,
0:46
and it uses Bluetooth version 2.1. Okay, so we'll have a look at the Uh-oh.
0:51
Hopefully that piece of paper is also waterproof because it fell in the very
0:56
scummy water that's uh near our office here. I'm just going to Whoa, that's
1:01
dirty water. Okay. Oh, lifetime warranty.
1:07
And you know what? I think the card is waterproof. Nice. It's plastic. Sweet.
1:13
Okay. So, I'm just going to Yeah, dry that off there. And uh please inform us
1:18
serial number and buy date by by Facebook.
1:22
That's to get your lifetime warranty. No way. You register your lifetime warranty
1:26
on Facebook. Okay. They've also got some
1:30
uh some terms and conditions for their warranty. Uh okay. Yeah. Yeah.
1:36
All right. And then that's not in English, so I can't read it. Okay. So,
1:41
here we go. We've got some random stuff there. We've got What else is inside
1:45
here? So, here is the actual Bluetooth
1:48
device itself. Has a little clip. So, I guess you could
1:53
uh you could clip that there to your swim goggles if you were swimming with
1:57
your Bluetooth headset. There's uh presumably volume up and volume down
2:04
and neutral button or Z. Okay, let me
2:07
see what else do we got here. So, we have uh one set of waterproof
2:13
headphones. So, this is for listening to music on
2:17
your music enabled, Bluetooth enabled
2:20
phone. Okay. Left and right. I can tell you how
2:24
comfortable they are.
2:29
Hey, that's not bad. Okay. Okay. Uh
2:32
then, wow, that's a really noisy truck behind us. Sorry, guys. Then there is a
2:36
USB charger cable. So, uh, that's
2:40
probably going to plug in here. There you go. So, that's how to charge it.
2:43
I've seen these adapters before. Then we have the actual, uh, Bluetooth earpiece
2:49
bit, I guess. Well, how does it actually hear
2:53
you? Hold on. Well, this can't be. Okay. No. Talk and music time. Well, it has to
2:58
be able to hear you somehow, right?
3:03
Hold on. We better pause this one while I figure this out.
3:07
So, it took three NCIX employees and the
3:10
uh manual here to figure this out. We'll
3:14
go through the manual in a minute because it's definitely worthwhile. But
3:17
I do want to explain exactly how this device works. So, you can see out of the
3:22
box, we took the uh the waterproof bag, which uses a double seal as well as a
3:27
folding flap of plastic to keep water away from your iPhone. This is the
3:30
cameraman's iPhone. Okay. So, we got two zip lock seals here. And then we just
3:35
put the iPhone in there. You fold this up. And then you just use a Velcro to
3:39
keep that shut. Okay. And then the way that the uh that the Wave itself
3:44
actually works is you use the Z button in the middle for pairing to uh answer
3:49
and to uh make calls. And then this changes your audio track. And then this
3:53
is the volume button. Oh, apparently I just made a call. Sorry. Sorry, Tim.
3:57
Tim, don't answer that. Don't answer that. Sorry. My bad. Okay. Okay, I I
4:02
hung it up now. So, that that's what we were using for testing. Now, the
4:05
microphone is actually here. All right.
4:08
So, something that I want to explain about this is it is waterproof. Now,
4:12
bear in mind the mono earpiece is the only one that's waterproof. The stereo
4:17
one is not. It's waterproof, so you can
4:20
kind of like listen to music, okay, while you're swimming or whatever it is
4:23
you're doing that you need a waterproof sound system for. But you can't actually
4:29
talk on it in the water, which makes sense. So suppose someone calls you, you
4:33
hear it in your Bluetooth, you get out of the pool or you get away from the
4:37
water and then you talk into the microphone and it should hang around your neck or it has a clip on it where
4:42
you can clip it to your collar or something like that. So and then this
4:45
has a strap on it so you can keep your phone somewhere uh conveniently close
4:50
by. All right, so now let's go through the manual that helped us to determine
4:54
all of these things. First of all, um
4:57
the microphone, it is made waterproof. And don't worry, water go inside. Don't
5:01
put sharp things into this hole. So, make sure you do not put sharp things
5:05
into that hole. Okay, let's find out what else. Uh,
5:10
okay. Sea rust and sweat may rust. Yeah, sea water and sweat may rust the
5:14
headphone jack. So, be careful with that if you go swimming in the uh in the ocean. Don't pair to KTouch and China
5:20
cell phones. That will make BFUZ misfunction. So, make sure you don't do
5:24
that. Um, not recommended for use with water skiing as it may hit your body.
5:30
And there's a rubber band here to prevent sands going inside. You can use
5:34
your own headphones if you prefer.
5:37
Okay. The wave's core is sealed. Just pour out water and keep using. Okay. A
5:42
headphone maintenance. Please take special care on the headphone head cuz
5:45
it is very weak. Don't force on here when you insert it. So, be very careful
5:50
with that. Use clean water to clean it out. Uh let me see if there was anything
5:54
else on here that was uh very pressing. Oh, please ensure the jack hole is dry
5:59
when you charge the battery. Whenever you're charging the battery, ensure the
6:03
jack hole is dry because remember you do use the headphone jack hole in order to
6:08
plug in the uh USB adapter. See here?
6:12
Okay, so that plugs in there. All right, so I think that's pretty much everything
6:16
to say about the Wave Tooth. And thank you for checking out the unboxing.
