0:07
at Sennheiser. They're celebrating 70 years with some pretty interesting
0:12
products. Some of them are small refreshes. So, this is the Momentum Onar
0:16
2.0. Basically, the only changes is that now that lightweight metal band design
0:22
folds bippity boop just like that. That is about it. But other than that, same
0:26
materials, same drivers, same everything. The Momentum Onyear 2.0
0:32
actually has a couple of more changes. So, this one does fold,
0:37
but also gets an upgrade to the ear cup material as well as the ear cup size.
0:42
So, folks who were complaining that with the old Momentum over ear, they felt
0:47
more like an onar cuz it pressed down against their earlobes, that shouldn't
0:50
be nearly as much of an issue anymore. Now, both of these haven't changed in
0:54
terms of pricing. So, it's $2.29 for the onar and $3.49 for the overear. But
1:00
where they really shook things up is right here. Now, this looks just like a
1:04
regular Urbanite XL. In fact, if I were to tell you that it was one, you
1:07
probably wouldn't know any differently because the Urbanite XL has a detachable
1:11
cable. And in fact, this one does, too. But now, it's wireless. So, for another
1:15
50 bucks over the regular Urbanite XL, you get wireless functionality. It's
1:19
Bluetooth. I actually don't have a quoted battery life for this one, but
1:23
this one does about 15 hours battery life. So, you're going to get that same
1:27
ruggedness and durability, that same foldability and travel ability, that
1:31
same sound signature, however it is that you personally feel about that now with
1:36
wireless Bluetooth 4.0, all that good stuff. And that one's $300. And then,
1:41
wow, I just dropped a $500 pair of headphones in front of Sennheiser, and
1:46
I'm getting the nervous laughter over there. Wow. Oh, so this is the Momentum
1:51
Overear wireless. I just mentioned the price. They're $500. They haven't
1:56
changed the acoustic quality compared to the Momentum Overears. Extremely well
2:00
regarded. But what they have done is they've given it the Momentum 2.0
2:04
treatment. So, you've got those nice thick nice larger ear cushions on it. It
2:09
does still fold just like that. It charges via micro USB. But this one, and
2:15
aside from just plain sounding better than the Urbanite XL, no offense if you
2:18
really like your Urbanite XL, has some really cool technology inside. So you
2:22
get 22 hours of playback or two weeks of standby. And you get five microphones.
2:28
It's like, yeah, you're buying two speakers and five microphones. So one of
2:32
them is for voice. Yes, you can hold a conversation with them. Four of them are
2:37
for noise cancellation. So active noise cancellation on this bad boy. We tried
2:41
it out here on the show floor. actually the only audio thing that makes any
2:45
sense to try on a show floor. Pretty impressive so far. Compared to the
2:48
QC15s, which are the only other really well- reggarded active noise
2:52
cancellation headphone that I've personally tried, I get less of that
2:55
feeling of pressure on my ears, but I'd need to spend quite a bit more time with
2:58
them to really give you guys my thoughts. Um, I forget where I was
3:02
really going with that. Right. So, active noise cancellation. This is something I haven't really seen much of
3:07
from Sennheiser in the past. controls are over here on the back of the right
3:11
ear cup. So, you've got your power as well as volume a volume up and down
3:15
slider that you press in order to play or pause. And then finally, there's your
3:19
micro USB as well as you can still wire them up should you so desire. But if
3:24
you're going to go and pay $500 for ball and wireless headphones, you're probably
3:27
going to use them wirelessly mostly, unless your battery runs out of course.
3:32
So, that is pretty much it for the Momentum and Urbanite updates, guys.
3:36
Hope you enjoy all of our show coverage. I want to take a little bit of time to
3:40
thank our sponsors. So, these guys, you know, the guys that let me take my phone
3:44
and like do this with it and like rub it all over everything and not care even
3:48
though it's an iPhone 6. Yeah, that corner right there. I'm getting a I'm
3:52
getting a look from these guys over here. They're like, "What is he doing?" This is my Phantom Glass screen
3:56
protector. These guys make awesome screen protectors. They're made of Gorilla Glass 3, so they're perfectly
4:00
clear. You can't tell the difference when you touch them. They go on without
4:04
any bubbles whatsoever thanks to their nano coating and they're just plain
4:07
awesome. Visit store.fantom.glass to learn more about those. Also want to
4:11
thank HyperX for allowing us to be here. They got a great YouTube channel over
4:14
there with some great gaming content. Visit youtube.com/hyperex to check it
