0:00 Due to the mechanics of the wonderful world of Pokémon Go, being somewhere
0:05 important or notable is very helpful in terms of population of Pokémon and
0:09 various other item acquires and all that kind of stuff. So, being somewhere like
0:12 London or Central Park in New York or something like that would be awesome.
0:17 What if you could be there but be playing
0:20 from your couch? So, this is especially helpful if you have some form of
0:24 physical disability or if you live somewhere rural where there just aren't
0:29 Pokémon stops anywhere near you and maybe only a couple spawns for Pokémon
0:34 at all. That can be frustrating, but there's downsides to this as well,
0:39 fairly obviously. We'll talk about that later.
0:50 Intel's Skull Canyon Knuck features the sixth generation Core i7 processor and
0:55 Thunderbolt 3. Learn more in the link in the video description down below. How
0:59 one would accomplish this is through something called GPS spoofing.
1:03 Essentially tricking your phone and the apps on your phone into thinking that
1:07 you are somewhere that you are not. This enables you to do the affforementioned
1:11 sitting on a couch while your phone thinks that you're in Central Park
1:14 general idea. You do this by simply just downloading an app that does it all for
1:19 you, telling the app where you want your phone to think you are, and then you're
1:23 done. If you're doing that for things that aren't just Pokémon Go, when you
1:28 try to do it for Pokémon Go, things get a little bit more tricky. This isn't
1:32 this company's first attempt at something like this. They made a game previously called Ingress, and they're
1:36 used to people trying to screw around in these ways. That being said, there are
1:40 workarounds. First off, you're going to need a rooted Android device or a rooted
1:45 emulator. If you want to use an emulator on your computer, I would recommend
1:48 using Blue Stacks, the application to emulate Android. Then, you're going to
1:52 need a few different APK files. You'll need Lucky Patcher, Fake GPS, and
1:58 Pokémon Go. First, you would install Lucky Patcher through your previously
2:02 rooted device. Then you would use Lucky Patcher to install Fake GPS as a system
2:07 application. Tell Fake GPS where you want it to say you are and other various
2:12 details like how fast you want it to update and other things that you can
2:15 program yourself very easily through the settings option. Then go into your
2:19 location settings in Android and turn off Google location history and change
2:24 your GPS accuracy to low. Although this may take some fiddling later on and you
2:28 may need to make it to high or even medium if you must because the game
2:32 refuses to update its location. If you're in Windows 10, you need to make
2:36 sure all of your location services are off. Just type location in the start
2:40 menu and then make sure both of the location options are individually turned
2:44 to off. If that feels too difficult, that would be fair. It's more of an
2:48 advanced user thing. If you want something more simple, you could go with
2:51 Pokemon Go anywhere, which enables you to click on the screen for movement
2:56 instead of actually just walking around, enabling you to leave your house and
3:00 walk to the park by clicking on the screen instead of getting up from your
3:03 couch. Now, there are problems with this. Most importantly, in my opinion,
3:08 is that it completely breaks the gamified features of the game. The whole
3:12 idea of the game is that you're supposed to walk around and try to find all these
3:17 Pokemon and there's like location meters with the little feet and you're trying to track things down and it's fun to
3:22 search and locate on your feet. It brings you outdoors. That's the purpose
3:27 of the game. But even beyond that, if you're like, I don't care, Luke, I don't
3:30 care about the gameplay. I just want to win. It might not matter because you
3:34 might get banned. Right now, they only seem to be temporary banning people from
3:38 about 45 minutes to six hours depending on what happens. You can teleport to
3:43 Central Park, be banned for 45 minutes, but then be in Central Park and just
3:47 play the game anyways. But they're currently very focused on making sure
3:51 that their servers don't just evaporate from the obscene amount of usage that's
3:56 going on. Once that calms down a little bit, once they're managing the load,
4:00 then they're going to hammer down on people. in the beta and in their
4:03 previous game, Ingress, they were banning the crap out of people for this
4:07 stuff. Now, the bans aren't going to stop people because the game is
4:11 ludicrously huge. Nintendo's stock price has gone up 30% since its launch days
4:17 ago. APK Mirror, an unofficial place to
4:20 download the application for countries that don't officially support it yet in
4:24 the Play Store and App Store, went from about 600,000 hits a day to over 4
4:29 freaking million. There's even a rumor going around saying that Nintendo is
4:33 making $1.6 million a day just on iOS
4:38 just in the States off of Pokémon Go.
4:42 Holy crap. Now, for me, this completely
4:45 breaks the game. So, I'll never do it. If I wanted to just sit on my couch and
4:48 play Pokémon, I would load up some version of Pokémon on Game Boy and just
4:52 play that. It would be a better overall experience. But knowledge is power, so
4:57 I'm still down with making this video. I don't think anyone should use it if they
5:01 can avoid it. If you're physically disabled and you just want to play the game that your friends are playing, I
5:05 think that's super cool. Or if you have some other very good reason. If you just
5:10 live in a rural area, man up and go for a long walk. And you can also use this
5:14 information to call out your friends who you know are working like overtime every
5:19 day but just got the game 2 days ago and
5:22 are level like 20s something with huge crazy strong Pokémon. I don't know, man.
5:27 Or you can use it as that fantastic scapegoat. Anytime there's someone
5:31 stronger than you, they probably just cheated. Jerks.
5:36 All right, guys. Thanks for watching. I'm probably going to have to get back to work as I don't think Lionus is going
5:40 to want to pay me for playing Pokémon Go all the time. Like the video if you
5:44 liked it. I know it's not normally what we do. Dislike the video if you're like,
5:47 I'm tired of everybody talking about Pokémon Go, cuz that's valid. Um, check
5:52 out the link in the video description to buy some stuff from Amazon.
5:57 cuz I don't know because it's Amazon. I guess there's Prime Day going on and
6:01 stuff so you can get deals that exists.
6:04 Uh, check out the link in the video description for our shirts, which isn't this one. This is for Transistor, a
6:08 video game that I like. Check out the forum if you want to like yell at me for
6:11 telling people about how to cheat in Pokémon Go. People are going to talk
6:14 about it eventually. Anyways, there's probably other information online about it already. Anyways, it's not a big
6:19 deal. Uh, and yeah, I'll see you guys next time. Watch this video on
6:24 I don't know. Taran will decide. Probably one of Taran's videos. Put like
6:28 one of your mobility videos in here, Taran. Bye.
