Rajentech is trying to change the game up with their Triton CPU cooler.

All-in-one coolers have been mostly rocking black tubes since basically the
0:08
dawn of time. So, including clear tubes and the ability to dye the included
0:11
liquid yourself or pre- purchase it pre-dyed is a bold move. Cotton, let's
0:17
see how it pays off. Stay subscribed to Linus Tech Tips for probably more

more. Let's start with a physical tour of the Triton. One could easily say that
0:43
this is the best looking AL cooler out there currently. The first thing you
0:47
should notice is the completely clear tubing and CPU block. This allows for
0:52
more than just aesthetic purposes, as letting you see the coolant moving
0:56
around and the pump actually working is pretty cool. Its tubing can be a big
1:00
draw, but what isn't described is just how flexible, smooth, and soft the tubes
1:05
are. And that's not necessarily a good thing. They're so flexible, in fact,
1:10
that while it does allow for far easier installation and positioning of the
1:14
block, radiator, and tubing, they kink extremely easily. So easily, in fact,
1:18
that they may be fine while it's installed. in most configurations, but
1:23
I'm also willing to bet that many users will kink them a few times during the
1:27
installation process. The mounting hardware is very solid and has some good
1:30
weight to it, and it happens to look good, which is kind of great as well
1:34
because it will complement that beautiful reservoir. But now on to the
1:38
main feature of this whole video, the pump, CPU block, and reservoir. The
1:43
reservoir has a fill port for easy access and fittings that are easily
1:46
removable and expandable into other parts of your system like your GPU. You
1:52
could in fact color the included liquid and that's exactly what Regentech
1:56
planned. They included three colors of dye in the box, red, green, and blue. In
2:01
case that's too much tinkering for your blood, which is unlikely, but anyways,
2:05
don't worry. Regent has you covered with two other models of the Triton. They
2:09
have the Triton Core, which is the only model that doesn't come with the included fans, which we'll talk about
2:13
later, and also has no added dyes. The
2:16
next model is the Triton RGB, which is pretty self-explanatory. These models
2:21
come pre-colored in RG or B, so you
2:24
don't have to worry about possibly making a mess, losing your liquid, or screwing up your pump. And it's a good
2:28
thing that they include this model in their lineup because there's a big sanity check here by Triton. stated
2:33
right on the web page is that opening the fill port on your cooler voids your
2:37
warranty and they hold no responsibility for damages caused by the dyes. That
2:42
being said, this shouldn't be too surprising as it would be very easy for
2:45
an inexperienced builder to wreck their system once that port is opened. Since I
2:50
mentioned them earlier, I should probably talk about the included fans.
2:53
They are actually pretty decent as experienced in our testing. They push a
2:58
fair amount of air and are decently quiet. Where things start to get a bit
3:02
different and strange is the fact that the fans are actually tethered together
3:05
at the cable that terminates in one three pin fan connector instead of two.
3:10
The reason why they did this was done is because they included an inline fan
3:14
controller, which is actually pretty cool in theory, but I have concerns. For
3:19
example, there are no numbers or symbols telling you what speed or voltage the
3:23
fans are running at. and you have to open up your side panel every time you
3:27
need to adjust your fan speed, which can get very annoying. I would have
3:32
appreciated it if even a like one to five marking was on it, so you would be
3:37
more clear in the end. Let's backtrack a bit to the box this came in. When you
3:40
open the box, you're greeted by one tiny piece of closed cell foam over top of
3:45
the CPU block to make it a little bit safer, and then mostly just some flimsy
3:50
cardboard for the rest. Yet again, I had
3:53
some concerns. Upon researching the cooler and reading customer reviews on
3:57
Amazon, Newegg, and NCX.com, there were tons of cases of dead on arrival or
4:03
leaky coolers. Not cool. Anyways, it's
4:07
now results time. As you see in the graphs, the Triton manages to do very
4:11
well with our Noctua NF12 strapped to it. And even beating out the H100i by a
4:17
little bit. The stock fans are running at 1100 RPM were not very audible at
4:21
all, which is great. But as you can see, their performance wasn't necessarily
4:25
anything to write home about, which is not too surprising due to the their
4:29
stellar audio levels. While the Triton may not be the best performing cooler
4:33
out there, it definitely gets you to a very comfortable temperature and easily
4:37
enters the expected range of temperatures for a 240 mm cooler while
4:42
being one hell of a looker. In conclusion, this is one hell of a sexy
4:45
cooler. And that seems to be a lot of what people are going for when they're
4:49
looking for aftermarket cooling these days anyways. So that might be fine. If
4:53
you're not interested in aesthetics or have an opaque side panel, then this may
4:58
not be the cooler for you. Dead on arrival issues are nothing to scoff at.
5:02
And if you can fit a 280 mm rad in, then
5:05
definitely go with that, which I guess is true for pretty much any 240 mm
5:09
cooler if you're not going for aesthetics. Personally, I really dig
5:13
that you can change the colors of this bad boy. And I like that you can
5:17
actually easily drain it to either color match to a different build in the future
5:20
or just go back to colorless if you please. I'm very happy to see Triton
5:24
bringing coolers in this direction. Clear tubes and custom colors is a bit
5:28
of a gamble for them and I'm happy to see that so far it seems to be playing
5:32
out. Speaking of looking good, Dollar Shave Club. Dollar Shave Club is a great
5:36
way to get razors and other bathroom supplies shipped directly to your door
5:40
for only a few bucks a month. The razors are high quality and we have a ton of
5:44
community members who use them everyday and love the smooth shave that they get
5:48
no matter how thick or potentially coarse their facial hair may be. For
5:52
some reason, this comes as a shock to many people out there, but yes, I know I
5:56
have facial hair, but I do still shave. And I would say that I definitely get a
6:01
good shave from Dollar Shave Club's razors. They're pretty darn nice. On top
6:04
of the razors, they also have Dr. Carver's shave butter, which goes on
6:08
smooth and clear, so you can see what you're doing, which is kind of
6:11
fantastic, and their peppermint scented buttwipes for men for those of you over
6:16
in North America that can't get to a bedet. So, check out everything that
6:20
they have to offer at dollarshaveclub.com/Linus.
