0:00 Now, this is something I've wanted to have a look at for a little while. This
0:03 is the Logitech wireless gaming mouse G700. Now, I actually had a G7 for a
0:09 number of years. I quite enjoyed that mouse. I mean, you know what, let's face
0:13 it, it was really good for the time, but uh once I upgraded to a uh to a more
0:20 faster, better wired mouse, I did notice
0:23 the lag that I had been living with all that time. Now, I don't know if the
0:28 G700, well, I don't know yet if the G700
0:31 fixes that, but we can definitely have a
0:34 look at what is in the box and what features make this particular mouse
0:39 interesting. So, why don't we look at the tracking first? So, the resolution
0:42 is 200 to 5700 DPI. The image processing
0:45 is 12 megapixels per second with max acceleration of 30gs and then max speed
0:51 of up to 165 in per second.
0:56 Look at that. All right. Responsiveness up to 1,000 reports per second, which is
1:01 good. It's about the fastest it goes. Dynamic coefficient of friction. Look at
1:05 that. Has that on it. And a static coefficient of friction. Okay. The
1:10 durability 8 million clicks and the feet
1:14 can go 250 km. Tested on most popular
1:18 gaming mouse pad surfaces. Cool. Cool. Okay. 13 precisely placed, fully
1:24 programmable controls. Epic. Really?
1:29 Okay, let the record show it actually
1:33 has the word epic on the package. So,
1:36 this thing better be epically comfortable. Gaming grade wireless
1:40 powerful control that gets you deep into your game. There's the little wireless
1:43 receiver, which is a big improvement over the clunky base station with
1:46 battery charger that the G7 had. 13 programmable controls with macro
1:51 capability. Natural supportive shape. Full speed wireless plug-and- forget
1:55 nano receiver. Whoops, I'm not even focused on the right language here.
1:59 Rechargeable data over cable.
2:03 Okay. Gaming grade laser, dual mold scroll wheel, smooth gliding feet,
2:08 onboard. Oh, dual mode scroll wheel is actually a cool feature. And it has an
2:11 LED display. Look at that. All right. So, let's have a look at uh the
2:16 packaging itself. Logitech products can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to
2:21 unbox. So hopefully this is not the case today as I'm not really up for an
2:26 unboxing challenge. I'd rather just keep things simple and have a look at the
2:30 product right now.
2:34 Okay, that's not too challenging so far.
2:38 Oh, hold on. It's about to get challenging. And it all sort of like falls apart now.
2:44 Awesome. Okay. So, the first thing we find here
2:49 is a uh Oh, it's okay. It's a It's a US Sorry, my angle's a little off here.
2:53 It's a USB extension cable
2:59 for the micro receiver. Okay. Neato. So,
3:03 they I think they're recommending that you only really use it for the micro receiver right there. Next, we have
3:08 important information as well as getting started guide.
3:15 Next we have Oh, look at that. Okay, so it looks like
3:19 you can turn it into a corded mouse. That's what this looks like to me.
3:22 That's a USB cable. And then that's the receiver. You know what? We're going to
3:26 have to have a look at the mouse to figure out exactly how all of that
3:30 works. Okay, I'm suspicious that it's
3:35 complicated at this point, though. Here's the micro receiver. So, it's
3:38 quite small. My hand for scale.
3:42 Ger Logitech. Looks like that. There's
3:45 your part number. And here is the epically comfortable. So they say, "Ooh,
3:51 that is actually quite nice." Quite nice indeed. The epically comfortable G700.
3:57 So it looks like there's Are those analoops? Is that an Analoop battery?
4:01 Nice. Wellplayed Logitech. An enaloops are my personal
4:07 favorite. In fact, I will do a short demonstration
4:11 of how enaloops are indeed my favorite
4:15 batteries.
4:18 Here's a cat unrelated to enaloops.
4:23 Okay, so there's my enaloop charger on the wall.
4:27 Okay, and here
4:30 are extra analoops. In fact, in my camera, I have more enaloops. Okay,
4:35 there's other random stuff in here. Hey, look. There's my G7 batteries. Um, okay.
4:40 That wasn't a very good demo, but I actually have a lot of envelopes. I think most of them are at work right now
4:45 cuz uh that's where I use most of them when I'm whenever I'm swapping batteries
4:49 for my camera. Okay, so we're back. Let's have a look at the G700 mouse and
4:53 not get distracted. Anyway, analoop batteries. Well played, Logitech. I
4:58 approve. I love Analoops. They're great. They last a long time and they come
5:02 charged which means your G700 mouse can
5:06 likely, and I mean like pretty darn likely, be used out of the box. Oh,
5:11 maybe not cuz it was flipped to the on switch. So, it's possible it's been
5:15 draining in the packaging. Okay. Well, at any rate, oh no, no, it probably
5:19 hasn't because it has this little uh Yeah, it's it's being blocked here. So,
5:23 it's not making contact. Okay. So, yes, it is charged and ready for use. Cool.
5:28 wireless products that are charged and ready for use. Love it. Okay, let's have
5:31 a look at the macro buttons. So, first, oh, let's show that epic comfort. So,
5:35 you can see the palm sits right here.
5:38 You curve your fingers over the mouse. There they are on the buttons and your
5:41 thumb goes right there. Actually, it's more like about like this. But, it
5:45 really does mold right to your hand. That's really nice. So, there's four
5:49 programmable macro G buttons on the side here. 1 2 3 four. Okay. There's three
5:56 next to your index finger here. 1, two, three. Very conveniently reachable, very
6:01 ergonomic. You can see they're actually curved in shape so that when your finger
6:06 sits here, you can push forward for this one, push back for this one, or push a
6:10 little bit further back for this guy. So, they can all be reached quite easily. Two more here.
6:16 Oh, hold on. Aha. That one is for the scroll wheel.
6:23 So that's the dual mode scroll wheel with either the clickiness or the
6:27 flywheel. Okay. Here is another G button. So
6:32 that's not a G button like a G. Okay. You've got your left and
6:36 right click. You got your clicky on your scroll wheel. And then that pretty much
6:41 does it for buttons. Here's the slippy pads on the bottom. Onoff switch. Gaming
6:46 laser. The other side is fairly fairly bare. Not a whole lot going on there.
6:51 Here is where that uh that charging wire
6:54 plugs into. Okay. So, you you can use it while
6:58 you're charging it or you can just leave it uh leave it charging and then pull it
7:03 off when you're ready to use it. And then the micro receiver plugs into that
7:06 other cable and just stays plugged in or it plugs directly into your computer,
7:10 whichever you'd prefer. For less interference, you're probably going to want to plug it into that cable and
7:14 position it somewhere um with, you know, line of sight to the G700 or whatever
7:19 else. This looks like a DPI indicator right here. Although I can confirm that.
7:28 I can't confirm that, but I'm pretty sure that's what that's going to be. So,
7:31 there it is. That is the G700 mouse.
7:36 Thank you for checking out my unboxing online. Oh, I should talk about the
7:39 finish on this guy a little bit. So, it's got kind of a rubberized, grippy
7:43 feel, kind of like the G9. Uh, personally, I'm a big fan of that. It's
7:47 very uh fingerprint resistant. So, your mouse isn't going to look all greasy and
7:51 nasty. And it's also quite uh quite nice
7:54 to to grip onto. So, it's uh very easy to hold it in place uh however long you
8:00 happen to be holding a mouse like this. I also like how I mean this seems like a
8:03 stupid demo, but when you lift up the mouse, it's very very difficult to drop
8:08 it. So, it has a really really good shape for the hand there.
