0:00 All right, so we've got the Vesta 3050 V2. This is the upgraded configuration
0:06 featuring Sandy Bridge. It is pre-overclocked. So, I want to show you
0:09 guys what it looks like when it's off of the Highspeed PC Techstation test
0:14 platform and into the Fractal Design Define R3 white, Arctic White rather,
0:20 case. So, here there's one thing I missed in my unboxing of the Arctic
0:24 White Define R3, and that's that the LED here has been changed from blue to red.
0:30 So, there's uh something to show you guys here. I have still an empty fan
0:34 spot. You can populate that in your system if you want, but then I have one
0:37 fan that's spinning in there. We've got a uh DVD multi in the front. We've got a
0:42 whole bunch of stuff running over here, which I'll get to in just a moment, but I just want to show you guys how all of
0:47 the hardware packs into this case for
0:51 optimal hardware packing. So, here we've
0:55 got the MSI P67A GD53
1:00 at the core of our system. So, that supports Sandybridge processor, supports
1:05 up to 16 gigs of DDR3 dual channel
1:08 memory. So here we've got a kit of DDR33
1:12 from GSkill. All right, we've got a GTX
1:16 560 graphics card. So this is the performance package, which means that
1:20 Oh, this is the performance package. So I think yeah, the 1600 had already been
1:25 tested and I believe the 1600 skew was pulled out in order to validate the DDR3
1:30 1333 skew with the auto overclocking
1:34 feature of the MSI motherboard. So you can see here that OC Genie is enabled
1:39 and so that means that our CPU is actually not running at the default
1:42 clock speed of 3.4 GHz I believe it is
1:46 and it is instead running at 4.2 GHz and
1:51 cooled by the Coolit Eco ALC water
1:54 cooling system. So right here the Eco actually has rotating uh fittings here.
2:01 So no matter what, your system is going to not have any undo stress on the water
2:05 cooling hosing. You do not ever have to maintain the Cool It Eco because it's
2:09 pre-sealed, preconfigured, pre- everything. And uh so you don't have to
2:13 worry about any of that. One of the things I want to show you guys is we do have the Eco set up for exhaust. So, you
2:19 could actually potentially get even better temperatures by configuring your
2:24 Vesta 3050 with dual exhaust fans in the
2:27 top and then an intake fan at the back
2:30 instead of an exhaust cuz that way you could be using fresh air instead of
2:34 heated air in order to cool your CPU. Now, one of the other things we've got
2:37 here is a CIC 620 W 80 plus bronze power
2:41 supply. Although, as you'll see, uh, with our power meter here, the absolute
2:46 max power draw we were able to achieve with this system was 363 watts from the
2:51 wall. So, really, that's about 320
2:55 watts, probably less than that. Probably about 315 watts being pulled from the
3:00 power supply. And that was running small FFTs on the CPU for maximum power draw
3:06 on the CPU as well as 3D Mark1 on the graphics card simultaneously. So, the
3:11 620 W power supply is totally overkill. It's never going to ramp up in terms of
3:16 fan speed. Always going to run nice and cool and quiet. So, we've got an OCZ
3:21 Vertex 220 gig SSD for our boot drive
3:24 here. And then for our storage drive, we have a 1 TBTE drive from I believe it's
3:30 Western Digital Green Series Drive. Uh
3:33 you can add as many as, you know, eight SSDs or storage drives should you so
3:38 desire. And that would be a pretty extreme configuration. So let's turn our
3:42 attention to the screen here where we are running our Prime 95 test on all
3:47 eight virtual cores of the 2600K processor. You can see here our 2600K is
3:52 clocked at 4.19 GHz using OC Genie and
3:57 that also enables uh any XMP profiles
4:01 that are present on the memory. So in this case we're running the 1333 memory
4:05 right now. So, there are no XMPP profiles, but if you did configure it
4:08 with XMPP profiled memory, it would enable that and you'd get the the
4:12 tighter XMPP timings. So, I think that's pretty much everything to say about
4:16 that. Oh, here's our temps, right? So, CPU temps, the maximum we've seen is
4:21 about 70°. So, that is pretty darn impressive, especially considering that
4:26 this is a silence optimized chassis and not necessarily an airflow optimized
4:30 chassis. And that is while running 3D benchmarks as well as CPU benchmarks.
4:39 Oh, what's this? Why did he move it? Oh,
4:42 okay. It looks like the highest we've seen is about 75. Still not bad. still
4:47 within reason, especially considering that in a real world load environment,
4:51 you are never going to stress your CPU as much as eight threads of Prime 95 at
4:56 the same time, plus a bunch of heat from the graphics card causing it to be
5:00 warmer inside and all that stuff. So, you can see our CPU usage is pinned at
5:03 100%. We've done our full overnight test
5:06 with the DDR3600 modules, which I've borrowed on another
5:11 platform to test something else. And then it's going to run again overnight
5:14 on the 1333 modules and then we are ready to launch this system and it will
5:19 be available to the public because it will be fully validated. Don't forget
5:23 you can also buy the basic platform which has a 2500 K a GTX 460 a lower-end
5:29 power supply and it does not have an SSD for the boot drive and it has the 1333
5:35 RAM and I think those are all the changes and that one is available for a
5:39 lower price as well. Actually, Crazy Russian wanted me to
5:43 show you one more thing. So, I'm just going to Okay, here. Uh, come around to
5:47 the back so you can hear how how loud the system is under load.
5:51 So, still not very loud, especially with the silent chassis and the fact that we
5:54 have the mic positioned directly behind the case, which your ears will never be,
5:58 but I'm going to turn off Prime 95
6:04 and you're going to hear that ramp right down. So, when you are not taxing the
6:08 system to the max, this thing is so
