0:10 so we're coming to you from the MSI suite where they've got is it a booth i
0:14 don't know what this is it doesn't matter the point is there's some cool stuff in here first and foremost they've
0:18 got a new version of their trident gaming desktop that is a lot heavier
0:23 than the old one oh is he going to drop it is he not going to drop it the point
0:27 is the hardware has not changed a ton so
0:30 you're still going to get a core i7 processor but this time it's 8th gen for
0:34 up to 6 cores and they've done up to a gtx 1080 graphics card in this tiny form
0:41 factor now so all that weight that is a whole lot of heat sink cliff you ready
0:45 here you go bud also behind me they've got a new monitor
0:49 so MSI's been doing monitors for a little while but they're really getting
0:52 serious about it now this is the optics mpg
0:56 27cq it's a 1440p 144 hertz freesync
1:00 gaming display it's got a va panel so you get those nice deep blacks and 3001
1:04 contrast ratio it's got two HDMI 2.0 ins and a displayport 1.2 and
1:10 most importantly RGB lighting so MSI has
1:14 been working with partners like Corsair steel series and cooler master to enable
1:18 you to synchronize the RGB lighting on the monitor with your peripherals or
1:22 even with your computer but there's some special integration with steel series so
1:28 using steel series engines game sense you can actually use the lights here for
1:33 something that's not completely stupid because i don't think anyone was asking
1:37 for RGB lighting around the outside of what they're trying to focus on no no
1:42 but with game sense in supported games which includes games like counter-strike
1:46 minecraft and dota with pubg coming it allows you to actually configure these
1:52 not just in terms of brightness and color but to reflect things that are
1:55 happening in game so you could have your right side change color according to
1:59 your health your left side change according to your ammo oh and the middle
2:03 one could maybe light up with brighter and brighter colors or it could flash
2:07 every time you get a head shot pretty cool stuff another innovation in this
2:11 monitor something that shocks me that we haven't seen before is the ability to
2:15 change on-screen menu items not just with the joystick at the back but also
2:19 through a software application so everything from throwing a cheater
2:23 crosshair in the middle of your monitor to adjusting the brightness to even
2:27 changing your input can now be done through MSI's software so this one's
2:31 going to come at around 400 to 450 bucks with an NVIDIA g-sync version planned in
2:36 the future though i would expect that one to cost a couple hundred dollars
2:39 more because dem NVIDIA licensing costs uh oh one
2:44 more cool feature is that with all this lighting stuff you can actually synchronize across multiple systems if
2:49 you're into that sort of thing or even that cool laptop over there that actually has the lighting on the back so
2:53 this way if you've got a whole team of people playing you could like have them all flash red and then turn off like as
2:58 they die and stuff that's cool so thanks again to freshbooks for allowing us to
