0:00 Thanks to Razer for sending us to PAX West 2016. They just released a new
0:04 Blade Stealth. Check it out in the description down below. So, I am now
0:08 sick and that is a bad thing, but this is also sick and that's a good thing.
0:12 It's a massive ROG G800 laptop from
0:16 ASUS. It has a 6820 HQ i7 processor, a
0:20 GTX 1080 desktop glass graphics card, an
0:24 18.4 4 inch 4K IPS screen, 64 gigs of
0:29 DDR4 memory, and 1 terabte of NVMe PCIe
0:34 SSD storage. Damn. Now, literally on top
0:38 of almost all of that is one of their main key features, and that is their
0:42 Mech Tag mechanical keyboard. Now, they will tell me almost nothing about it.
0:47 They won't tell me its response time. They won't tell me its total travel
0:50 distance. They won't tell me when it actuates. Nothing. What I do know is
0:54 that while you're pressing down, partway through, there is a tactile bump. That
0:58 is all I can tell you. Near the top of the keyboard, you will notice an ROG
1:02 button that will open up the Republic of Gamers Gaming Center where you can set
1:06 up the M1, M2, and M3 keys to change the
1:10 functionality of your F keys to custom macros depending on what game you're
1:14 playing. On the lefth hand side, you have a headphone and microphone jack,
1:18 one USB 3 type A port, two USB type-C
1:21 connectors, a mini DisplayPort, HDMI and Ethernet jacks, and a big power
1:26 connector that requires you to squeeze it kind of like a DisplayPort in order
1:30 to disconnect it. And above that, a Kensington lock. On the right hand side,
1:34 they have a much lower selection of things. There are two USB 3 ports and
1:38 one SD card reader. On the front, there's just a couple speaker ports. And
1:42 then on the back, things get a little funky. There's four passroughs for water
1:47 cooling and one pass through for power. This will be for the large water cooler
1:52 add-on if you get the GX model. It is
1:55 not clear at this time if they will be selling the water cooler add-on by
1:59 itself for people that don't buy the GX model and want to upgrade down the line.
2:03 So, I'll have to wait till later to try to figure that out. On the bottom,
2:06 there's four metallic connecting points. Those are for connecting to the dock,
2:10 which is not actually the water cooler. Those are two different things and two
2:14 of them are just for extending off of the dock. There's also this mysterious
2:18 glass panel which may or may not have something to do with the water cooling.
2:23 I'm really not sure. They like won't really tell me and I I don't know. But
2:28 I'm getting a G800 GX to review in
2:32 office in a little while. So hopefully I'll be able to know then. So stay tuned
2:36 for that video. In terms of all the juicy performance numbers and stuff like
2:39 that, you'll just have to wait until I get it in Office. They have Doom set up
2:44 here right now, but they're running VSSync, so I'm not entirely sure how
2:47 fast it's actually able to run the game. I'll have extensive numbers both with
2:50 and without the water cooler once I get this guy to personally test. Anyways,
2:55 thank you to Razer for sending us here this year. We have recently passed three
2:59 million subscribers and Razer is helping us celebrate by giving away a Blade
3:04 Stealth with some custom art on it designed by Ed Zilyago in-house back at
3:08 the Linus Media Group Studios in Canada. So check that out. Link video
3:12 description down below. Enter to win. I'll see you next time.
