0:07 Welcome to my unboxing and first look at the
0:10 Corsair, sorry, Rumble, Flash Survivor
0:13 64 gig. So, this is the stealth version of their Survivor USB drive. Now, I've
0:19 been using a Survivor for over 3 years now. This one is pretty beat up. So, if
0:24 you get in really close, you can see from having my keychain on it, I
0:28 actually ripped right through the key ring loop. However, the other side's
0:31 still holding out. Okay. What this one, this uh rubber grip has actually worn
0:36 completely clean, and the other one fell off at some point. However, it is still
0:41 waterproof to this day. It was run over. It was thrown around. It's been
0:45 underwater, and it still functions. It's also only USB 2. With the Survivor
0:52 Stealth, Corsair has improved pretty much every aspect of this drive, which
0:55 as you can see, like I've been carrying this for three years on my keychain,
0:59 which as you can see, I am a big fan of because I love having the durability of
1:04 something that I know is basically incapable of dying. Has a 5-year
1:09 warranty, and so it should. Uses lightweight aircraft grade aluminum,
1:13 just like the original. This one's waterproof to 200 m. has USB 3
1:19 compatibility, so it's much much faster than the original drive. It is. Yeah.
1:24 It's got an aluminum housing. Yeah. Yeah. It's also much sexier looking. So,
1:28 you can see Oh, yeah. The labels came off. It used to say Corsair Survivor on
1:31 it, but there you go. There you go. So, the size is very similar, although the
1:35 rubber pieces are bigger. And this is nice because when you're opening it up, those are your grips, and that's what
1:39 makes it uh that's what makes it easier to come off. So, that's that's why this
1:42 one this one came off on my old one. But, uh there you go. It's got that
1:46 Stealth branding. It's got a very nice black anodized finish. You can see
1:50 they've beefed up the keyring loop very substantially cuz you see how thin the
1:54 aluminum was around the top there. And it was the same on the other side. Now
1:58 it's much thicker, so it's going to be much less likely to come off. Also, the
2:03 side with the flash drive is the side that's going to be attached to your
2:08 device, which as you guys can see was the side I preferred. That was where I first attached it to. USB 3, you can
2:13 tell from the blue here, as well as the additional pins inside. It comes in a
2:16 variety of sizes. This is a 64 gig one. Also, huh, look, it's got an indicator
2:21 LED. I don't know if Here, I'm just going to put this here so you guys can
2:25 see it while I uh check out the other one. I don't know if the old one. Yeah,
2:29 yeah, it did. Okay. So, the design is very similar inside as well. So, this is
2:32 my old 32 gig. This is the new 64 gig if you guys can't already tell from the uh
2:36 top there. So, I think that pretty much summarizes it. Um, thank you for
2:41 checking out my unboxing and first look at the Corsair Survivor Stealth USB
2:44 thumb drive. Don't forget to subscribe to Linus Tech Tips for more unboxings, reviews, and other computer
2:50 videos. And the cameraman reminds me that it's shockproof to 1500
2:55 G's, like a
3:00 G. And it's of course cat proof as well.
3:03 Let's see if I can get him to bite it. Sometimes he'll bite stuff if you put it
3:07 on his head. You going to bite it? You going to bite
3:10 it? You going to bite it? You going to bite
3:16 it? What's that? What's
3:35 that? There he goes.
3:48 And he's distracted.
4:08 I should be using the other one for
4:22 this. Okay, that's all for footage, I think.
