0:04 demo car at the link in the video description
0:07 so we are here at the dell booth where they are showing off a new member of
0:12 their xps family this is the xps 15 two
0:15 in one yeah so this is the smallest
0:20 thinnest high performance two in one 15 inch ever and it was made possible by
0:26 some pretty special technology so the CPU and GPU are a member of the product
0:32 formerly known as kb lake g family so
0:36 we're talking an Intel 8th gen CPU with
0:39 Radeon vega m graphics now dell isn't
0:43 really telling us much about the specifics of the specs but fortunately
0:47 we're really smart people so we managed to open up task manager and find out
0:52 that this is a core i7 8705 g so that
0:55 guy turbo's up to 4.1 gigahertz and as
0:59 far as we can tell ships with a vega mgl
1:03 so that would have 20 cus though the clock speed is tbd it's got a pretty
1:08 unique thermal solution on it so they're actually using an insulation from the
1:12 company gore you know like gore-tex and the idea behind it is not obviously to
1:17 keep all the heat inside the laptop but to keep it away from the bottom surface
1:21 and the keyboard so the air gets sucked in here and it gets exhausted
1:26 through the vents right here dell's boasting a 15 hour battery life out of
1:31 the 75 watt hour battery and the thing is only 16 millimeters thick while being
1:37 4.3 pounds so it's still a 15 inch
1:40 device but as 15 inch devices go it is pretty
1:45 impressive especially given the overall like this has a really really nice
1:50 feeling hinge mechanism in case you're wondering how cooling works when you
1:53 have it folded up as a tablet because of the feet on the bottom there is still a
1:57 gap so the fans can suck in air
2:00 a couple of the other cool things about it involve magnets so the keyboard is
2:04 actually using it's a scissor style but it's using magnetic levitation and there
2:09 will be available a separate pen that uses again magnetic technology to give
2:14 like a tactile feedback to writing on the screen but that wasn't something we
2:17 could try today in terms of i o you've got a couple of usbc's a headphone jack
2:22 and a security lock and then you got two four-lane thunderbolts and microsd as
2:27 well as a battery life indicator it's expected to go on sale sometime in the
2:30 next four to five months it's gonna start at around a thousand dollars and
2:35 it's going to include dell's new mobile connect technology which allows you to
2:38 take calls uh respond to sms and even on
2:42 Android use apps wirelessly with all
2:45 their new devices for 2018.
2:50 so thanks to group renault for sponsoring this video if you guys want to check out their symbios demo car it
2:55 really is impressive we took it for a ride we've got a video linked in the
2:59 description or hell maybe we'll put it in a card up there but it's got a ton of
3:03 amazing technology in it tons of cameras
3:06 tons of radars most importantly the brain it was smart enough to handle
3:12 level four autonomy even on an actual road with actual french drivers around
3:17 us and we were able to do everything from take the hands off the wheel to recline
3:22 in the special laid back seating position to putting on
3:27 a vr headset that was tied into the car sensors so you could actually see
3:33 virtual graphical representations of the cars or in some cases they showed up as
3:38 like flocks of birds and stuff going past us
3:41 in the vr headset actually wasn't even nauseating which was really surprising
3:45 so check that out we'll have it linked in the video description
3:49 so thanks for watching guys if you disliked you can do that but if you liked the video hit like and get
