0:07 So, not that long ago, guys, I did an unboxing of the Liquid Armor Invisible
0:12 Nano Coating Tech Screen Protector. And what I said was that at the time, I
0:16 didn't really have a way to validate whether this stuff works or not. So,
0:21 what it claims is that with the liquid coating, you basically just spray it on
0:25 a screen, wipe it in one direction, and leave it for 24 hours to cure, or even I
0:30 think it's just uh whatever. It's not that long to dry, and then 24 hours to
0:36 cure, and it will make your screen up to
0:39 two times stronger than traditional screen protectors, which sounds pretty
0:43 good, right? But unless you validate it, then it's just a claim on a box. So,
0:47 Slick and I came up with an experiment today.
0:50 where we're taking two dummy phones. So, these are a BlackBerry Curve and a
0:55 BlackBerry Bold. And we're going to drag them on string behind my
1:00 motorcycle. We're going to drag them screenside down. And I I wrote on the
1:05 backs of them. So, this one is our liquid armor coated one. You won't
1:08 you're not going to be able to read that. You can read it. Oh, cool. And this is our control group one. So, the
1:12 bold has been coated with liquid armor 3 days ago, and the curve has not been
1:18 coated with liquid armor at all. So, we're going to tie these down and we're
1:21 going to drag them down to the end of the street and see if there's actually
1:26 any difference in the scratched upness of the screens when we're done. So, stay
1:31 tuned, guys. This is going to be fun. So, I don't know if you guys noticed
1:35 this. I don't know if you can see it in the camera, but here I'm going to try
1:38 I'll try and catch some on my sweater. It's actually snowing right now. So, I
1:44 don't know why this always happens. It must be slick because every time I film
1:48 something outside with him, it starts freaking snowing. So anyway, we're set
1:51 up now. There's the two phones. And uh
1:54 here we go.
2:35 All right. So you guys are going to be here
2:39 for the results. So this is our control
2:43 phone and this is our liquid armor phone. So let's do the control phone
2:47 first. So you can see the control phone is scratched to high hell. The only part
2:52 we're really going to be looking at here though, guys, is the screen itself
2:55 because this is going to be the same on both phones here. Actually, we should wipe it off so that we get a good
3:00 representation. Okay. And this part has not been coated with liquid armor on the
3:04 other one. So you can see how scratched up the screen is. Can you see pretty well?
3:07 Um, how about like a better angle? Does that
3:11 help? Okay, good. We got it. All right. Here is the liquid armor phone. So,
3:17 let's
3:21 see.
3:27 Um, oh, hold on a
3:30 second. Oh, check it out.
3:34 The scratched up coating is the liquid armor. Look at that, guys. I didn't
3:39 realize it was going on so thick. So, you see how scratched up the screen is,
3:43 right? But then when I Oh, check this out. No, this actually works. I was
3:47 pretty disappointed at first there, but look at this. If I scrape the liquid
3:51 armor back off, you're supposed to reapply it every 6 months or so, the
3:55 screen is actually not scratched. Holy
3:58 smokes. Look at that.
4:02 Okay, so guys, the answer is liquid armor actually freaking works. Even if
4:06 you drag your phone behind you on a motorcycle, I got up to about 30 35 km
4:12 an hour. Huh. I was not expecting this stuff to work nearly that well. So, I'm
4:17 officially done with stupid screen protectors, with their stupid applicator
4:22 cardboards, and all that kind of crap because this is amazing. So, thank you
4:26 for checking out this episode of Linus Tech Tips, and don't forget to subscribe
4:29 for more videos like, well, not very many videos like this, but mostly
4:32 unboxings and like tech videos.
