0:00 Thank you to the HyperX YouTube channel, youtube.com/krstonhyperx for sending us
0:04 here this year. Also, thank you to linda.com and Phantom Glass. We're here
0:08 at OCZ to check out their replacement for their Vector 150, the new not yet
0:13 released yet Vector 180, probably named because they're pulling a 180 from the
0:17 Vector that they were previously on. I'm sorry. Moving on to the drive itself.
0:22 And away from terrible puns, there's three different configurations. 240 GB,
0:27 480 GB, and 960 GB. All of these drives
0:30 have a maximum bandwidth of 550 megabytes per second, and a maximum IOPS
0:35 on the two larger ones of 100K and 95K
0:39 on the smaller one. Sustained IOPS are 20,000 for the smallest and the biggest
0:44 one, and 23,000 for the 480 gig. They're
0:47 rated for 50 GB a day of usage and have a 5year Shield Plus warranty. What the
0:53 heck does a Shield Plus warranty mean? Well, if anything goes wrong with the
0:56 drive, they have told me that you can send a message to their RMA team and
1:01 they will ship you out a new drive right away with a shipping label for your old
1:04 drive. So, there isn't nearly the amount of wait time that you would have to go
1:08 through if you had to ship them your drive and then wait for them to verify
1:11 that it's broken and then they can ship you a new one. No, they just send you a
1:15 new one right away and just hopefully you send your old one back in. That's a
1:19 pretty intense warranty and probably comes from confidence due to their
1:22 acquisition from Toshiba. I've been talking to the guys here for a little while. They've been telling me that
1:26 their overall failure rates and RMA returns are much lower than they used to
1:31 be. Something that's plugged OCZ for a while now. This kit also comes with a
1:35 drive adapter so that you can clone over and cloning software to go through that
1:38 cloning process. While the overall aesthetic design isn't super new, I do
1:43 really appreciate the jet black background and think that it's a pretty good looking drive overall. Thank you to
1:48 HyperX for sending us here this year. Check out the YouTube channel,
1:51 youtube.com/krston HyperX for a ton of cool gaming videos and I think we even
1:55 have some stuff on there as well. Be sure to subscribe. They'd appreciate it a lot. Also, thank you to Phantomglass,
2:00 store.fanlass.com to pick up some of the best damn screen protectors out there.
2:04 Also, linda.com. on linda.com/packs will get you a really cool offer code and you
2:09 can use that offer code to learn things like programming or editing in Premiere
2:13 or even some business practices. Pretty much whatever the heck you want. Be sure
2:17 to check them out as well. All right, guys. Thanks for watching. If you were sketched out about OCZ before, now that
2:22 they've been acquired by Toshiba and there's been some some time for the
2:25 growing pains to wean out, are you interested in them again? Is is this
2:28 something that you're interested in? Let me know in the comments down below or over on the forum. Thanks for watching
2:32 and stay subscribed to Line Effectives to see all the rest of our PAX East 2015
2:36 content.
