you know what i like i like things that are called special edition and you know
0:04
what i like even more i like special edition two okay this is the Noctua nhu
0:09
12p very popular cooler this is the second special edition of this cooler so
0:14
basically what that means is inside the box you will find core i5 core i7 and
0:20
AMD mounting hardware in addition to that you're going to find an extra fan
0:25
just like the original sc so why don't we have a look at the accessory package
0:28
here first let's get this open and find out what we've got inside so here's our
0:34
AMD mounting hardware it comes oh wow this is kind of neat it
0:38
comes with a screwdriver so you have everything you will need to install this
0:42
cooler here is the common part so these are the
0:45
parts that we're going to use no matter what we're installing so let's uh let's
0:49
get that open and have a look at it so here you'll see you've got fan
0:54
low voltage low noise adapters for 5 and 7 volts you've got uh nth1 premium
1:00
thermal compound you've got a knock to a case badge as
1:03
well as four screws which you'll need to affix
1:07
these little uh screw down brackets to the cooler okay so then you've got the
1:11
screw down brackets which will fasten into whatever adapter you're using
1:16
then you've got uh oh this is kind of neat so you can plug both of the fans on
1:20
this special edition cooler into one CPU
1:23
um header on your motherboard then you've got the little wire mounting
1:27
brackets four of them for your two fans and then last but not least it's kind of
1:32
stuck in the bag here you have four little rubber strips these rubber strips
1:36
sit in between the fan and the cooler to prevent it from vibrating very cool
1:41
little feature okay let's see what else we got in here so you've got an nfp 12
1:45
1300 RPM fan this is their their most
1:49
popular fan according to all the data we've been able to collect very very
1:52
nice fan great static pressure which is good for pushing through a dense fin
1:56
arrangement here's your Intel set so that's your Intel mounting hardware you
2:00
can see oh actually this is kind of neat i haven't seen this yet they've made
2:04
some adjustments to the way they used to do the mounting holes so you can see
2:07
you've got 775 1156 and 1366
2:12
mounting holes for the bolt through very neat so then we can put those aside so here's
2:18
your this is where your what the pegs that you're actually going to put
2:21
through the bottom of your board and then you've got your spacers and the
2:25
little thumb nuts that you can use to secure it
2:28
and then you've got a back plate oh this
2:31
is oh this is cool too actually which includes
2:34
four for 775 users rubber a rubber piece for the center but
2:39
since 1156 and 1366 have a back plate
2:43
you can remove it and just use this standard secure firm backplate
2:49
pretty sweet okay that is it for the accessories package
2:52
here so we'll get into what's inside the actual big box here so there's your
2:57
second fan and if i could figure out how to get
3:00
this open i would most certainly open it
3:04
because that's what i do i open things
3:07
okay finding this quite confusing now but
3:11
we're too far into this shot to uh potentially redo anything so
3:15
press forward there's your other fan identical to the first and then here is
3:21
the cooler itself so you can see this is a four heat pipe cooler one two three
3:26
four it doesn't have heat pipe direct touch but i'm sure the camera can see
3:30
what a shiny flat finish that is so we'll put show do the the obligatory
3:35
finger shot so it's very very flat there we have it uh thank you for checking out
3:39
my blog on the nhu 12p special edition
