0:00 You know those mobile power banks that everyone and their dog has where you
0:05 plug it in with a USB port and you charge up the battery that's built in
0:09 and then you can take it around with you and you can give your devices an extra
0:12 boost. Actually, I guess we're kind of in the shade, aren't we? Uh you can give your devices an extra boost of power um
0:18 or just charge things on the go, all that kind of thing. Great concept. Love
0:21 them. I have one. I use it all the time. But the thing that was kind of missing
0:26 for me was one that doesn't need to be charged. So what I would find happening
0:31 was I would use it on a flight to somewhere. I'd forget to charge the bank
0:35 itself and then on the way back I'd discover that it was dead. So this is a
0:41 product from Terat Trend by Silverstone. Basically by Silverstone. Penshape
0:46 mobile charger utilizing AA batteries. So I think that's pretty
0:50 self-explanatory. Supports install AA battery times 2 USBA type female
0:54 interface. Easy to carry and compact design. Now, I asked for a pink one, and I guess they figured I must have um
1:00 mistyped because they sent a green one, too. But the one that I actually want is
1:03 the pink one. So, check this out. They showed this off at CES, and we actually
1:08 did see it in their booth. But I just want to show you guys how this works.
1:11 So, there you go. Super simple. Just like that. You unscrew the
1:16 bottom. It's made of aluminum. It feels really solid. It's got a nice anodized
1:20 finish on the outside. So, I mean, it's it's made by Silverstone, which is
1:23 pretty much all you need to know. So, it's good. Um, you throw a couple
1:27 batteries in there. You can use rechargeables or disposable batteries.
1:30 It's up to you. So, there's your contact point. You go ahead and screw this back
1:33 on. And then this is a quick way to turn
1:37 a batteries into USB power. So, now all you got to do is toggle the switch here.
1:42 And there's your USB charger. So, it's a 500 milliamp hour charger, I
1:48 believe. Yeah, 500 milliamp. Uh, sorry,
1:51 not milliamp hour. That's a rating for the capacity. 500 milliamp charger. So,
1:56 you're not going to be able to quickly charge uh like speed charge a phone or
2:00 charge a tablet at any sort of appreciable rate. But what it is is it's
2:05 a handy little thing that you can carry around in a backpack or whatever else.
2:08 It's going to be durable and you're going to be able to take an otherwise
2:12 standard thing that you can buy at a store and quickly convert it into
2:16 something that you can charge your device with or top up your device with. So, there you go. I mean, I think if you
2:21 can see the application for it, then you see the application for it. And if you
2:24 can't, then you can just tell me, Lionus, I don't see the application for it. I don't know why you made a video
2:27 about this. And I'll say, well, come on. It's like a pink stick. Put batteries in
2:30 it. Must be good. Don't forget to subscribe to Linus Tech for more unboxings, reviews, and other computer
2:35 videos. Oh, yeah. It's available in a variety of colors. Maybe that was the point of sending me the green one. So,
2:39 you don't have to get a pink one. So, you can get green or I think there's like three other colors.
