Welcome to another RC Arctic Hobby unboxing. This is the Aqua Rider 703
0:14
tugboat. And I know I
0:17
said I know I said that the excavator
0:20
was the last Arctic Hobby RC vehicle that I was going to take a
0:26
look at, but the Aqua Rider beckoned and
0:30
uh I had to heed its siren call. Oh my
0:35
goodness, this thing is
0:39
hilarious. Yes, that is the color scheme. It is red, black, green, yellow,
0:46
blue, brown, and silver. So, give me a
0:51
second. Oh, actually, hold on. We can see the accessories that are included up
0:54
here. No, give me a second to get these uh to get these opened up, and then
0:57
we'll we'll have a look at it. So, we're doing a bit of an in progress shot here.
1:01
We've got all these tires, which go around the outside of the boat. Um, see,
1:05
you can see there's lots and lots of tires. Uh, we also found the battery
1:09
compartment. So, here's where the receiver is connected to channels one
1:13
and two. And then we've also got a receiver crystal that matches the
1:18
transmitter crystal that was included. So, that means we can use uh an
1:21
aftermarket transmitter with this particular boat here. Um, we've also got
1:27
the power lead for the battery, the battery
1:31
pack, the rope for tying up the tires, a
1:34
rope for presumably towing things. I mean, we've got a little hook here
1:38
that's seems to be fairly securely attached. And it is like, you know, a
1:42
tugboat. So, my assumption is that you can actually tug something with it. Uh,
1:46
what else have we got going on here? Ah, I'm working on trying to get the uh
1:51
antenna through the tube here. And we're going to try and figure out where the
1:54
where this is actually going to go because once we put this back on, you
1:58
can see there actually aren't any holes for us to to thread this through. So,
2:02
um, that's our in progress. So, give us a little while here, guys, and we'll get this all set up.
2:07
So, that took forever. Um, Arctic Cooling includes a lot of extra tires.
2:12
My guess is that for the tugboat enthusiast, um, they might want to take
2:16
these tires and put them around like the, uh, the barge that they attach to
2:21
their tugboat. So, we haven't really taken a close look at it yet, but I'll show you guys. Here's the antenna.
2:26
Here's the mounting uh, point for it. Okay, so here's it coming out the top.
2:31
Uh, we showed you the interior. This is really cool. Check out the dry dock that
2:34
it comes with. So, it's got little rubber grippy things here and the name
2:38
the Southampton. And then it fits on uh
2:41
pretty nicely so you can uh you know keep it nice and solid while you're
2:45
working on it and you know doing whatever it is tugboat enthusiasts do.
2:48
Uh this seals off all of the electrical components from the places where they
2:54
Oh, hold on. This looks indicating something to me. Ah, yes. Excellent. Um
2:59
so this seals off all the electrical stuff from where water might get at it.
3:03
Hopefully it seals it well. There is a
3:07
um like a neoprene seal around there.
3:10
Okay, so this guy goes in here. So,
3:13
we're putting the tugboat back together at this point now that we
3:18
have. Hold on. Apparently, I'm doing something wrong again.
3:23
Okay. Yeah, something about something about rope. Oh, the wires in the way.
3:27
Ah, there we go. Good work, Slick. Okay, so that's why we pay him the big bucks.
3:34
Yeah, I know, right? Okay, so uh that's reattached. Our extra tires are
3:40
deposited gracefully on the deck. And uh
3:44
so here's our included battery and we are ready
3:48
to go with the Southampton. Now, something to bear in mind, guys, is this
3:51
one does not come with a remote. So you have to get a transmitter, and then
3:56
you're going to use this crystal in order to um pair the transmitter to the
4:02
tugboat. itself. So, we'll be unboxing
4:05
that one and then trying this guy out hopefully uh on a lake or pond or
4:11
bathtub near you. So, one more kind of
4:14
close look. So, you can see there's like little steering wheel or whatever it's
4:19
called in a boat. I don't know what a steering wheel is called in a boat. Lots
4:22
of little, you know, cute little ladders and stuff like that. And uh pretty
4:27
robust looking propeller system going on
4:31
down here. So hopefully this guy can actually, you
4:35
know, haul itself and something else at a reasonable speed. So thank you for
