0:00 Welcome to a ghetto unboxing. Today's unboxing is not about
0:06 the box because you can plainly see that there's no box. This is about what's
0:11 inside the box. This is Corsair's allnew
0:15 Dominator light bar showcase. So, inside
0:19 this anti-static bag, I have four sticks
0:23 of what is some of the most premium memory on the freaking block. So, the
0:29 light bar kit comes with a few different colors, but ours is going to be
0:33 showcasing the blue light bar. So, I'm going to move that so that I'm not
0:37 showing it to the wrong camera here. So, you can see that there's a the the light
0:41 inside the Dominator Platinum module is still white, but there's an actual uh
0:46 blue window in the top of it that's going to give it some pretty sweet
0:51 effects. So, remember guys, Dominator Platinums use a custom PCB, a custom
0:56 heat spreader. They've got heat sink fins here on the top and then an
1:00 aluminum uh bar that goes on the top,
1:04 both for looks and for presumably some additional cooling, although I don't
1:07 think that's going to make that much of a difference, but also just like awesome
1:11 lookingness. You've also got full compatibility with Corsair Link with the
1:15 little connector on the side of the module itself, which sort of drives home
1:18 that custom PCB a aspect of this. Guys,
1:22 to be clear, these are extremely expensive heat spreaders and only really
1:27 make sense for premium modules. So, we're going to go ahead and we're going
1:31 to take our existing sort of gaming memory, I guess you might call it. Take
1:35 it out of this system and we are going to be upgrading to Corsair Dominator
1:40 Platinum. So, you can see that before I started, I touched the power supply.
1:44 That's to ground myself. And now, I'm not going to move my feet. It's important to uh do the necessary
1:50 precautions before installing memory like this. So, this Oh, right. The spec
1:54 on this here, Diesel, I'm going to get you to come in close again. So, these
1:57 are 16 gig kits. So, these are 2 by8s and then I'm populating them into a quad
2:02 channel board, which is technically not really recommended, but it should still
2:05 be fine. 2400 megahertz, so 2.4
2:09 gigahertz, 8 gig modules.
2:14 need a moment of silence to let that like sink in and then boom, head
2:19 explosion. Uh, so they're cast 10, so yeah, they're not super tight timings or
2:23 anything by any stretch of the imagination, but that is some
2:28 high-speed, high density memory going on. That means we are putting 32 gigs of
2:34 some of the fastest RAM money can buy in this particular system here. It also
2:39 happens to be some of the sexiest RAM money can buy. So, let's go ahead and
2:44 power this bad boy up. So, I'm going to put my power cable back
2:48 in. Every so often, the uh the
2:52 motherboard will just power up if you insert a memory module. So, that's why I
2:56 unplug the power supply. Or actually, unplugging it is bad. You should leave
3:00 it plugged in so that you can still ground off of it, but you should turn the switch so that the system won't
3:04 randomly power on. All right, so here we go. We'll do a daytime shot first. Going
3:08 to power this up. I love it. This goes really well with the P9X79 Deluxe
3:14 motherboard that we've got in this particular rig. This is an older Corsair
3:18 H100, not an H100i. I apologize for that, but it still looks pretty boss.
3:23 How's that? How's that look, Diesel? Should we do the night shot now? Yeah, I'm getting the I'm getting the so so
3:27 hand. So, let's do our night shot here. Ready, guys? Let's try turning the just
3:31 those off first and see how it looks. Go. How's that look? I'm getting the
3:35 thumbs up. How about in complete darkness?
3:39 How's it look now? Yeah, I'm I'm definitely getting the thumbs up over
3:43 there now. So, that is what Dominator
3:46 light bars will look like in your system. I'm going to give you some different angles here, guys. So, you can
3:50 still see the whiteness as kind of an underglow effect, but the tops of the
3:55 modules themselves. I'm going to lean a little bit more so you can see the very
3:58 tops of the modules have a very unique Whoops. Oh, hold on. Let's power it back
4:04 on. I think Oh, shoot. I think I put some There we put some pressure on the
4:08 connector there. All right. So, the tops of the modules themselves have that blue
4:12 glow going on, which looks very, very cool. So, I'm going to go ahead and go
4:16 all the way down to this angle. So, you can see it from here. You got that,
4:20 diesel? All right. So, there you go, guys. That is the Corsair Dominator
4:27 Platinums with light bars. It was sort
4:30 of an unboxing. Basically, beast memory for beast systems. Don't forget to
