0:01 So, here we are in the TechTip studio and uh apparently the cameraman's
0:06 interested in my shirt. This is my new hoodie. I got it for Christmas. It's a
0:09 bit of an early present. Vancouver Conucks. Go Knucks. Okay, so here we
0:13 have the Vesta 6050 system that I showed kind of an inrogress build of. So, I
0:18 just want to go over the overall specs again. We've got the Core i7 950. That's
0:22 a quad core hyperthreading processor with the Corsair H70 liquid cooling
0:29 all-in-one unit on it. So, it's running nice and cool no matter what we throw at
0:32 it. We've got 12 gigs of RAM. We've also got an ASUS Rampage Formula motherboard
0:38 in here. So, that's an X58 board running dual GTX 580 graphics card. So, these
0:43 are the top of the range single GPU graphics cards on the market. They are
0:48 capable of all of NVIDIA's exclusive technologies like CUDA, PhysX, 3D
0:53 Vision. And as you can see on the left here, we have the Crazy Russian himself,
0:58 who is as part of our validation process for this system demonstrating NVIDIA
1:04 Surround Gaming in Mafia 2, which is one of the games that takes advantage of all
1:09 of those awesome NVIDIA technologies. Now, this is just the introduction, and
1:13 we're actually going to have him showing off a very intense scene with lots of
1:17 broken glass and guns and explosions and
1:21 all kinds of good stuff. So, we can really show you what physics can do to
1:25 enrich the gameplay experience. So, a couple other things I want to show you
1:28 guys. SSD means we've got nice fast
1:32 loading times no matter what we're doing on this system. That's a 120 gig Vertex
1:36 2. And then we've also got a storage
1:40 drive here. So I believe it's uh h I
1:43 can't remember how big the storage drive is, but I think it's 2 terbte. Hopefully. Uh yep, two terb. Nice. I got
1:48 the I got the thumbs up over there. All right. Then in terms of power supply,
1:52 we've got a TX850 power supply, which is more than capable of providing all the
1:57 power needed for this system. And we're able to maintain even during a gaming
2:01 scenario relatively quiet operation.
2:05 Now, we could probably Yeah, we could probably turn down those Corsair fans a
2:09 little bit, but it's not the end of the world. And that's part of what keeps it
2:13 running. So cool. And I mean, hey, that's good, right? So,
2:19 anyway, this is the introduction. So, we'll come back when uh when the Russian
2:22 is ready for us to show off some of the more intensive gaming experiences. I'm
2:26 not Russian. I'm Soviet Canadian. Well, whatever that you can have with this
2:31 machine. All right. So now we are going to demonstrate the Vesta 60/50 with all
2:36 the physics, zeal, and fury that we can
2:39 muster. All right, so here we go. So we're going to have water effects all
2:43 over the place, destructible environments, broken glass. I think the
2:48 Russians playing on easy right now, but uh you know, I guess they're not very
2:52 good at video games in Russia, so it's somewhat understandable. So we'll get to
2:55 actually video game plays here. Yeah, whatever.
2:59 So, here here he is hiding behind the corner and hopefully he starts to cause
3:03 some uh real havoc here pretty quick.
3:06 I've actually never played this game before, so that's why I asked him to do
3:09 the uh the gameplay video for
3:13 me. Hey. Hey. Nice. There we go. Causing
3:16 senseless havoc. Love it. So, you can see that the glass is all persistent in
3:21 the environment here. And you should probably kill that
3:25 guy that's shooting at you. And uh
3:28 that's powered by NVIDIA CUDA. So uh
3:32 with their physics technology, they're able to Yeah, it's actually kind of
3:37 neat. They're able to well die and then fall on the broken glass. Does the glass
3:41 move when you die? It's okay. We'll be back at the Red Dragon restaurant in
3:44 just a moment here. And yeah, so that was pretty much the whole point of this.
3:48 This is the latest system we've developed at NCIX. It is based on the
3:53 fastest technologies that we can throw together in a very very nice quiet
3:59 enclosure and hopefully you guys enjoy it. We do have the two configurations
4:02 available. So the one is going to run you about and I've got my cheat sheet
4:06 there about 1,800 bucks and that one is with single 580. It has an H50 water
4:11 cooler instead of the H70. You've got 12 gigs of lower speed RAM instead of the
4:16 higher speed RAM. And you've also got a lower-end power supply. And then if you
4:21 go with the performance edition, that one's around 2600. You get the faster
4:25 memory, you get the bigger water cooler, you get the storage hard drive instead
4:29 of no storage hard drive. They both have an SSD. You also get the upgraded power
4:34 supply. And hopefully I am not missing anything, right? You get the uh Republic
4:38 of Gamers motherboard. So on the base one, you will get a
4:42 P6X58DE motherboard. And on this one, you get the Rampage 3 Formula. So, thank
4:47 you for checking out this video on the Mafia 2 gameplay footage with the Vesta
4:52 6050. Don't forget to subscribe to Lionus Tech Tips and big thanks to our
4:57 Soviet Canadian friend over there for doing our gameplay
5:02 demo. If you want to see something really pathetic, this is cameraman. He
5:06 actually got further into the level than Crazy Russian, and they are on the same
5:11 difficulty level. Nice.
