0:00 Linus Tech tips coverage of computex 2013 is powered by Western Digital our
0:04 trusted gaming gear partner is Corsair Vengeance and our trusted retail partner
0:08 is nc.com hey guys I'm here at the intermax
0:12 booth with Elaine we're going to check out some of their air coolers and she has something very cool to show is
0:16 called TCC um so the air uh the air cooler it's
0:22 actually called t40 um the TCC is the
0:25 thermal conductive coating that we have um basically these two are The Limited
0:30 Edition uh it comes in all black on the heyink and then all all white and the
0:35 coating it means it actually helps to
0:39 dissipate the heat it doesn't affect the performance of the um CPU Cooler yeah
0:44 cuz you notice a lot of times coolers will come bare no paint on them um and
0:48 that's for a good reason because if you paint them it can reduce the ability for
0:52 the cooler to dissipate heat from your CPU so to be able to paint them they had
0:57 to come up with technology TCC and use it on their cooler so that's very cool
1:01 we're going to shuffle down here a little bit and move on to their liquid cooler now this the first thing I
1:05 noticed is this is not an acitech Design This is not a coola design this is
1:09 different so what's awesome about this um so basically this one it is Aluminum
1:14 heyn as you can see it I don't know if you can see it clearly um and also the
1:19 the whole design is a little bit different even on the sides which is is
1:23 on you can see it over here so the side
1:27 looks like this so we have a special cut on the aluminum and obviously everybody
1:32 knows aluminum helps uh helps uh
1:35 dissipate the heat as well um and then
1:38 also our patent on the um liquid cooler it
1:43 will be thect it means uh shun Channel
1:47 technology um it helps out for the water I guess to break the water even more um
1:55 that way helps to dissipate the heat even better so we have a good
1:58 performance on that yeah so as a lot of you guys know with liquid coolers
2:02 they're trying to squeeze the water and shoot it through there really really fast so you don't get buildup and don't
2:05 get water air bubbles within the water so their shunt Channel technology is
2:09 squeezing it through and breaking up the water so that it'll flow and not sit
2:12 there and create air bubbles that's very cool we're going to move on all right
2:16 guys we're still here checking out the interax booth and I just walked past this and saw the conis giant is a very
2:22 large case you can fit tons of Hardware in it what I think the best part is that
2:25 they have an IDE hard drive in here which is fantastic I just that's that's
2:29 kind of awesome but you can fit a huge computer in here you can fit two AO
2:34 liquid coolers I just this thing's crazy what do you have to say about it so
2:38 basically not just two of them it's actually two 240s um as you can see on
2:43 top right here we have the um 240 on top
2:46 and then the 240 on the bottom so it can fit like a bigger motherboard that has
2:50 two CPU slots
2:54 um yeah so you can fit a huge motherboard with two CBU slots you can
2:57 throw tons of graphics cards in here and tons of large graphics cards in here you
3:01 can throw four Titans in here no problem it's if it's a workstation PC you're
3:05 probably not going to throw four Titans in it might throw a K20 or a Tesla or
3:08 something like that but this thing's nuts dual CPU sockets all the RAM you
3:12 could want all the graphics cards you could want all the cooling you could want they have cool LEDs going through
3:17 here are these your guyses I don't the uh the power supply the yeah yeah well I
3:21 guess power supply there power supplies there this their Platinum Series what
3:24 wattage is this power supply um this one is either 1 uh 12,200 or 1350
3:30 that's huge and possibly needed for this type of system because you can load this
3:35 thing with hard drives as you can see over here they have toolless hard drive
3:39 Bays we can get one out here there we go toolless hard drive Bays really really
3:42 easy to get out really really easy to put back in if I can put it back in
3:46 there we go that was my bad not their bad um this thing's crazy sorry and then
3:50 you can fit like a 180 up to 180 uh F in
3:54 the front right here so it's really really big and helps out to oh dissipate
4:00 the heat cool everything else get those hard drives cool get everything else cool in there for a huge fan in the
4:04 front four five and A4 inch Bay check out this top pay right here get in here
4:09 Boll we got all the USB 2 you could want we got four USB 2 there two USB 3 power
4:15 reset uh I believe this is fan control or is that light control
4:19 um I think this is light control you light control okay so you can you can
4:24 brighten your fans you can dim your fans you can turn it off you can see your
4:27 levels right there then the top there's a huge Grill up top here for your cooler
4:32 I believe you can fit one up to 140 millim coolers up here uh up to 240 up
4:37 to yeah two 140 mm right two 140 mm fans
4:41 um no these are the nor those are 120s
4:45 but then it's got I think it's got big enough room yeah okay so it looks like
4:49 okay it's One Singular bigger fan not two 140 so you can fit a massive fan up
4:53 there uh if you come around to the back here I know I'm throwing b-roll all over
4:57 the place but if you come around to the back here you've got four water cooling grommet so you can go to an external
5:01 radiator which is great I've never done it but it's pretty cool and just the
5:06 thing's huge it's absolutely massive is there anything else you have to say about it it's awesome that's it all
5:12 right it's awesome and now we are headed over there to see a case that I'm really
5:16 excited about I don't know about her but this is definitely my style so if we can
5:20 walk over
5:23 here bam there we go this case is
5:27 amazing you might want to check it out Boll this is a
5:30 it's called asog it fits you it it oh it fits me perfectly I I I just feel so
5:36 masculine besides this case it's it's incredible yes so this case um last year
5:41 we came uh we came up with the the normal asru so it's a black and the mash
5:47 you can change there's like different colors so this year we decided we to do
5:51 something for the girls um so we came out with that really cute light pink not
5:56 for me not for me it's for you but for you too definitely it says Luke on here
6:01 um and so the mash here was white and
6:04 also the inside right
6:07 here uh we paint it white too so all these coating is actually pretty pretty
6:14 like little bit more expensive than the black one obviously because of the
6:18 painting and the job and the you know the work that they need to do but um our
6:23 arrau's being selling really really well so hopefully you know this is a limited
6:27 edition or special edition
6:30 um can bring all the attention to the girls and you know if you want to buy it
6:34 for your daughter or sisters or
6:37 girlfriend in all seriousness this might not be the case for me but as some of
6:42 you may know the keyboard that I just bought from my mom is has a white shell
6:45 and pink keys with white back lighting so I might get this for my mom because
6:50 it would suit that keyboard so well and having your whole PC setup all
6:54 synchronized is a very cool setup so I'm I'm actually happy to see a limited
6:58 edition case that has some interesting colors on it because what you usually
7:01 see come to Market is be oh a limited edition case it has red accents it's
7:05 like okay well is that really limited edition or you can make 10,000 of them
7:08 because it's red accent so you can sell it as much as you want so it's interesting to see a bold move like this
7:13 and thanks for showing us your cases we're going to move on to another product line now so stay tuned all right
7:17 guys we just saw those awesome cases now we're going to cover some awesome power
7:20 supplies with Haswell as many of you know you don't need actually that much
7:24 power draw as you did before because haswell's very low power very power
7:28 efficient so fanless power supply is becoming much much more realistic and
7:33 enax has a 650 W fanless power supply
7:36 there's also some other really cool stuff about it so I'm going to pass off
7:40 so pretty much um we this is our finless power supply comes with
7:45 550 550 550 550 Watts or 650 Watts 650
7:51 Watts so basically that's right now I think the highest wat on the market um
7:56 and is plenum level which is more
7:59 efficient energy efficient um so this is all fully modular as you can see and
8:05 right here the design is very elegant and we have diamond cut aluminum so all
8:10 of this is made of um aluminum which you
8:14 know also helps um to uh dissipate the
8:17 heat as well aluminium is great at dissipating heat as she said the diamond
8:21 cut part looks really really sharp um I'm actually just going to pick this up
8:25 really quick here for one second as she said fully modular which is absolutely
8:29 great it's just you can see all the ridges that they cut into it which looks
8:33 absolutely fantastic none of those super
8:36 cheesy looking stickers like we've seen on some power supplies um just very very
8:40 clean very very goodlooking power supply and as I was saying earlier you don't
8:44 need that much power for newer systems you can fit a 780 and a Haswell like a a
8:51 4770k a 780 have a awesome machine just
8:54 maybe don't go overload on the hard drives and ssds and stuff just a couple
8:58 if you keep it fairly low cut you can get away easily get away with 650 wat
9:02 fan on this power supply have a very sharp looking quiet system that's
9:06 fantastic let's slide on down the line here so now you're getting a little bit
9:12 more aggressive you need that wattage you've got a you've got that same system we were talking about before 4770k 780
9:17 whole bunch of hard drives whole bunch of ssds you're going nuts you're overclocking you need something heavier
9:22 so they have the triath or gold so is there anything special you want to say
9:26 about this basically uh well last year we came up with the Reg triath and this
9:30 year um this one is actually 80 plus
9:33 gold um also right here they're working on to make it flat cable like that
9:39 instead of this so so they've got the the rounded sleeved cable here and
9:43 they're working on releasing one like over here where it's flat cable not the
9:47 sleeving but more of a a a rubbery outside not actually rubber but rubbery
9:52 outside um so they're working on that getting that over here this is semi
9:55 modular so you have the cables that you need already attached so that's actually
9:59 not that bad because you're going to use all these anyways you've got 8 Pin power
10:02 and 24 pin power and then the rest of it modular so you might not use everything
10:06 else so they let you choose what you're going to use there yep um so basically
10:11 the the feature of this as we all know enax is always at a higher price point
10:16 um and this one it it's got a more aggressive pricing um on on these power
10:22 supplies and it's also very compact as usual any of you guys that are worried
10:27 about the low power states of hasell as well both of these power supplies
10:30 correct both of these power supplies are fully Haswell supported so no worries
10:34 there you've got all the power you could need they're very clean cut very nice
10:37 power supplies thanks for running us through this we're going to jump over over to fans so I'll see you on the
10:41 other side if you're into fan lless power supplies make sure you comment on
10:44 the video like the video all that kind of stuff and subscribe to see all of our
10:47 computex content all right guys this is possibly the last video from the end Max
10:51 Booth but we couldn't leave without checking out their fans and there's this
10:54 nice little button here that I'm going to have you explain so with the button
10:59 when you see a button you want to press it anyway so it's our LED um 180 mm Fen
11:08 this one it also has the mount hole for 200 mm Fen so you know it's either or if
11:14 you want you have the mount hole for them this could fit and also not only it
11:18 turns on you can switch them to different modes as you can see this one
11:23 or this so pretty much that's it but
11:30 this fan I mean it's like if you get a
11:34 fan everything's in it you can have different you know different modes or no
11:39 lights at all and then also um all our
11:42 all our new fans it comes with the technology called APS it means uh
11:47 adjustable Peak uh speed yeah right so
11:51 all these fans are pwm um so the peak speed of them you can
11:55 change to 1,200 uh 900 or 600 so if you want like
12:01 a more powerful fan right here I think that's already the top so
12:06 1,200 is like oh can you see my hair and
12:09 then if you turn it a little lower some somebody likes it to be you know a
12:13 little quiet um see like it's really
12:16 slow right now so at 600 RPM at Peak
12:20 speed um it's it's a really quiet fan you know it doesn't really make any
12:24 sound and also it comes with the 12 uh
12:28 one 12 CM 120s as well it comes in
12:32 different colors um and all our nmx
12:35 fence you can pop the blaze out that's one of our petent everybody knows it's
12:40 interesting to see very featureful fans a lot of fans that you buy is just like
12:43 okay yeah you plug it into your system it'll hopefully work and then that's
12:47 pretty much all you do with your fans so it's interesting to see fans that you can actually do a lot with and
12:50 personalize to your system and how fast you want it to go what you want it to
12:54 look like everything we got one more fan to cover down here which is a different
12:58 direction for for n Max so I'll lead you off so this is um this is a brand new
13:04 fan that we have normally you know we always have little crazy LED lights this
13:08 one is the um 120 mm highpressure
13:11 airflow fan as you can see let me stop this real quick the blades are a little
13:16 different than our normal ones um it's got more blades as well if you yeah if
13:21 you can stop yeah it's more blades and then it has you know it creates more air
13:26 pressure um if you turn it and right here the cut right here it's also
13:30 different cuz you know it generates more pressure on the fin and not only that
13:36 this is really really quiet normally high pressure fans are like a little
13:40 louder but if you I don't know if you can hear it it is pretty loud in here so
13:45 it's hard to discern audio but I did put my ear up next to it when it wasn't
13:48 quite as loud and I couldn't really hear anything other than the were of air
13:51 which is usually more of a calming noise and not annoying the things you're
13:55 usually listening for is ticks and annoying high pitch sounds I didn't hear
13:59 any of that but like I did say it is loud here so I'm not sure but it's it's
14:03 an interesting New Direction it's definitely quiet because I can hear
14:06 other things I've done other fans here while we've been here so that's great
14:09 new fan style static pressure fans are great for radiators so yeah that's
14:13 awesome thanks for giving us a tour of your whole booth that was great we've
14:17 had a good time at the inax booth if you like stuff that you've seen here like
14:20 the video comment on the video what your favorite thing was comment on the video if you're going to buy one of those
14:24 white and paint cases cuz those are awesome thank you for running us through
14:29 And subscribe to see all of our comp deex content
