0:09 are we starting maybe are we here we might be
0:14 live we're gonna have to start from the top so we have
0:18 topics to talk about now now that the
0:21 stream works one of them is that h3h3 got sued by a fellow YouTuber named The
0:28 Bold guy is being sued that's fair it's in the process I don't know legal stuff
0:32 they're not in court yet John's probably like super sad over there able to hear
0:35 me say dumb things there's also a I can't use the touchcreen this laptop
0:39 doesn't have one derp um there's also a study that claims that Fitbit trackers
0:43 are highly inaccurate and Google has
0:48 kind of won uh a case where Oracle was
0:51 suing them to the deal of I think it was like $9 billion or something talk about
0:55 that later also foxcon has replaced 60,000 Factory workers with robots cuz
1:00 no guys it's totally cool advancements in technology just create more jobs I
1:04 don't know what you're talking about to be un Fair moving
1:09 forward in the first two industrial revolutions they did
1:38 Linda yeah no
1:41 okay no so I was just going to say a joke but
1:44 I'm not going to do it anyways h3h3 who I think I can actually look at the
1:49 article for now and like show it on
1:55 screen oh dang
2:00 look at that awesome wow it works
2:04 anyways Burl's gone this time so that's unfortunate but h3h3 Productions Etha
2:09 and hila Klein are being sued over alleged copyright infringement over a
2:14 reaction video that they made to someone doing parkour um that guy's name was I
2:20 don't remember it's not very important Matt hos Zone I think Matt hos Zone yeah
2:24 that's I think that's his channel um and
2:27 they I think he's Cally over colloquially referred to as bold guy
2:33 right yes there's been some pretty major updates here a lot of people know that
2:38 this was going on Philip DeFranco opened up a fund on GoFundMe it raised like
2:42 over 120 Grand a huge amount of big YouTubers stepped in including the Fine
2:46 Bros which was probably a very good PR move for them but they stepped into the
2:51 amount of $110,000 which is probably worth more
2:55 than the PR move so there was some actual true Goodwill there as well yeah
3:00 big other YouTubers like uh PewDiePie
3:03 and a whole bunch of people that I don't remember but if you go watch fil
3:06 Frank even leafy donated leafy donated
3:10 and was like there's certain things that Trump like Petty arguments andu he put
3:16 his name as leafy aka the cyber bully I was like yeah all right that was kind of
3:20 funny I guess it was good okay but you should talk about the update um yeah so
3:25 there was an update video that they posted yesterday after the initial video
3:28 about how they were being sued so in the initial video they specifically said
3:31 we're not going to do like a A patreon or something like that you guys have
3:34 already supported us a ton and that's all that we can ask for um but after
3:38 that like Luke said Philly D came in and was a boss and started the GoFundMe and
3:42 contributed five grand to start it now it's huge um and then yeah that's one
3:47 thing I want to say too is Philip Franco didn't just like yeah he wasn't just
3:52 like hey guys you should donate he was like here's a page and five grand five
3:56 grand and like really like a bench Mark
4:00 to move forward and I think that's one of the big reasons why a lot of YouTubers stepped up even Notch and Gary
4:05 from Gary's Mod contributed like it's crazy um so anyway in their updated in
4:10 their update video uh they essentially were like holy crap this is insane like
4:15 we never thought that that this would happen um and they made it clear that
4:19 like yeah in the video in the initial video we said our legal fees could be up
4:22 to $100,000 if this went to the full extent that it could go um they don't
4:27 expect them to be that high if it doesn't go the full way um so
4:31 essentially what they're doing is they're making sure that the funds get handed off uh into an escrow account uh
4:36 that's going to be managed by Ryan Morrison and I think Michael Lee is the
4:39 other guy's name um so so to the people out there that don't know what an escro
4:43 account is including definitely myself not trying to dodge that um yeah what so
4:49 an escro account is let's see the
4:52 official escro account is a temporary pass through account held by a third
4:56 party during the process of a transaction between two parties um so in
5:00 this case essentially what that means is that the people who donated are the
5:04 first party the second party is whoever
5:07 needs protection under fair use okay and then the third party who's going to be
5:11 controlling the esro account is Michael Lee uh and Ryan Morrison uh Ryan
5:15 Morrison more commonly known as the video game attorney yes um so yeah and
5:21 the first client of this escro account if you want to call it that the first
5:26 recipient of the escro account will be the legal battle that H3 is engaged in
5:31 not them specifically but the legal battle yeah so that's an important
5:34 clarification is it's not like they can just go and be like oh yeah we need x
5:38 amount of dollars uh and it's just on their word it's specifically Ryan
5:44 Morrison and Micha Lee who are controlling the money and then they will just take out as necessary uh to fight
5:49 these legal battles on behalf of creators yeah um so it's kind of badass
5:53 they call it I think the fair use protection account aka the foa yeah yeah
5:59 yeah which is is great and the FAA keeps growing as they
6:03 say um but yeah it's it's kind of badass
6:07 because you know something that Ethan outlined in the follow-up video was that
6:11 now there's this bulk of money sitting there um that's almost acting like a
6:15 deterent to other people who want to you know come in and abuse the broken
6:18 copyright system right um so you know
6:23 obviously there are cases where copyright law should hold up but fair
6:27 use is there for a reason um and these people who might not have had the funds
6:31 uh or the means necessary to be able to defend themselves in the past will have
6:35 that now so that's a pretty incredible thing yeah and like that it's almost
6:40 acting the complete opposite way as this guy probably wanted it to because one of
6:44 the big things brought up was the first thing that they wanted to do was just
6:48 like oh like give us four grand and take the video down and you can move on and
6:52 the reason why they didn't just do that because that's it's setting a really
6:56 dangerous precedent because as soon as the attorney of this guy goes was oh
7:00 yeah Ethan and Ela gave me four grand because I came and threatened him with a
7:03 lawsuit then they come to you know uh Joey solids or whoever and they go hey I
7:08 got four R to Ethan El like but I can get 10 for you or I can go over to Leafy
7:11 and I can get you know however much from him um so yeah it's it's it's a really
7:17 important thing that they're doing and and like they've been saying it's way bigger than just the battle that is
7:21 Ethan and Ela versus bu guy because now especially with the big fund instead of
7:26 it being this this lawyer behind the scenes just going like hey I got four
7:29 grand for them it's lawyers behind the scenes receiving people trying to do
7:33 this and going like I don't know because
7:37 those guys just got super slammed so I don't think I want to waste my time with
7:40 this and it also like I you know I'm going to probably say something
7:44 completely stupid here because I'm not entirely familiar with how um the legal
7:48 system in America works it's a little different up here in Canada um but it
7:51 also sets a precedent right if Ethan anilo go in and they win um then that
7:55 can be used as a case uh like a case
7:59 study essentially um for future cases when when fair use is being abused right
8:04 so um you know that can come into play as evidence for future cases and it just
8:08 helps build up the backing and fair I'm pretty sure that's definitely a thing in the states I don't actually know if
8:12 that's a thing in Canada is it a thing in Canada I'm pretty sure yeah okay it
8:16 is the thing in Canada because we're based on uh or we're based on the the
8:22 the British I'm confused which is which hey
8:26 John can we borrow you for a sec okay
8:29 legal advice we need legal yeah we need the legal department okay so uh in in
8:35 this case with Ethan and hila being sued by some dude if they win can lawyers in
8:41 the future use the fact they won is the US based on case law yes in the same
8:45 jurisdiction yeah I mean I think Canada is the same way too so if like there is
8:50 a disposition like in one jurisdiction like in one state or in one circuit
8:53 court in the US and there's a similar case later on then whatever the holding
8:58 was is Bing precedent essentially has the force of law so yeah it's a big deal
9:03 okay okay so yeah I don't know if you guys could hear the full thing there but
9:06 essentially um like I said it sets a precedent for future cases uh under case
9:12 law um where this can then be used as evidence in other cases uh to defend
9:17 fair use so yeah I mean overall like
9:20 when I first saw the video of them being sued I think it was only like two days
9:23 ago or something not that long ago um I was like wow that sucks like this is a
9:27 huge burden and it's actually really inspiring to see like the whole
9:30 Community come together and and support not only Ethan and Ela but support
9:34 setting a precedent and building a precedent here so there's even a new
9:37 Twitter account I'm going to show this on screen this is fantastic there's even
9:41 a new Twitter account called FAA for Freedom um and it even has like a logo
9:47 and everything and I'm I'm sure they'll get a cover image on here but this
9:51 there's no way this has been up for very long at all looks like 21 hours this 21
9:56 hours ago this Twitter account was created it has 3 four tweets that's it
10:01 uh and it already has 27.7 th000 followers but this is as it says the
10:06 fair use protection account keeping the internet free of copyright trolls funded
10:11 by you led by h3h3 Productions Mr Ryan
10:14 Morrison and geek attorney so yeah I
10:17 Think Geek attorney is uh the Alias of
10:20 Michael Lee right who's the business partner and then there's Morrison Lee
10:25 slfa which is what I'm assuming once it
10:28 loads here is the new U yeah fa
10:32 protection sub area so this is their like because this is the internet
10:36 attorneys whatever thing right so this this is where like they're housing the
10:40 information about it taking down C top uh copyright
10:43 trolls not anymore I don't know I think
10:46 it's pretty cool yeah and like one of the things that um again Ethan mentioned
10:50 in the second video was like it's not like people haven't had support in the
10:54 past because the video game attorney and his partner have been like protecting
10:58 these people sometimes even like free of charge offering offering legal advice
11:02 free of charge not even charging for their services so um essentially
11:06 everybody wins in the situation it's it's you know a huge uh a huge deterrent
11:13 for copyright trolls in that sense and then also these guys are able to you
11:17 know do what they love to do help the people that need help and then also eat
11:21 and like which is great yeah like we haven't really had any major problems
11:24 with this have we had any I don't think so we don't really cover other people's
11:28 stuff I mean we're way different than so we're we're
11:31 not really in this realm but we still kind of want to protect our own I guess
11:36 so it's good to see this kind of stuff happen I do kind of wish that this
11:41 little thing in the corner also mentioned you know like Philip Franco
11:45 the guy that like push it's probably fine it not
11:50 really a big deal I just think it would have been kind of cool to give a shout out to yeah for sure no it's
11:57 frozen oh we're still we're still alive
12:00 no just give it just give it a sec give it a sec I'm just not going to touch it
12:04 give it a sec we're going to it'll be fine I can still show my screen here
12:08 move on Mike 1496 says move on uh I'm
12:11 okay with that I can't change the scene on xplit yeah it's still not going to
12:18 work and I'm afraid of crashing the whole thing but we're going to talk
12:22 about the next topic which which will oh
12:25 my here we go one second which will be
12:29 Fitbit Fitbit trackers are highly inaccurate that's in a quote thing um
12:35 there apparently there's some law suit thing going on right now where someone's
12:38 suing them for giving inaccurate Health Data Fitbit has responded by saying it's
12:44 not supposed to be like Health Data it's
12:47 supposed to give a rough representation or I think they I don't okay I'm going
12:52 to try to find their actual quote here give me one second here let's see Fitbit
12:57 called the study bias baseless and saying that it lacked scientific rigor
13:03 which is uh pretty rough so the study was done by researchers at the
13:07 California state Polytechnic University who tested the heart rates of 43 healthy
13:10 adults with fitbits pure pulse heart rate monitors uh and then they used the
13:15 Fitbit surge watches and charge HR bands on each wrist uh subjects were then
13:20 hooked up to a bioharness device that produced an electro cardiogram or an ECG
13:26 so like highly accurate medical grade stuff yeah to record against the data uh
13:31 the the results showed that Fitbit devices miscalculated heart rates by up
13:35 to 20 beats per minute on average 20 or
13:38 30 yeah so during that's during more intensive workouts um and again yeah
13:43 Fitbit said that the study was biased and uh I'm sure that in their terms of
13:47 use it says somewhere that Fitbit is not intended to be used as a medical device
13:52 and it's proximation of blah blah blah yeah it's actually not it says here that
13:57 uh the devices are designed to provide meaningful data to our users to help
14:01 them Reach their health and fitness goals and are not intended to be
14:04 scientific or medical devices and in my opinion this isn't like Vitamin Water
14:08 saying that no one could possibly think that their drink was supposed to be
14:12 healthy I think this is literally them going like okay we made a device that
14:16 sits on your wrist and gives you a roughish calculation of your heartbeat
14:20 right and that should somewhat be able to help you with your workouts obviously
14:24 they're not looking to like diagnose people in hospitals by putting fitbits
14:28 on I think that's okay I don't think that it should be off by an average of
14:32 20 beats per minute that's insane but I
14:36 don't know one little spoiler thing here is I have a Fitbit and actually many
14:41 other fitness trackers sitting in the room right over there and we are going
14:45 to be doing our own testing not cuz this just came up this is just kind of
14:49 coincidental we were actually going to do our testing before this just someone
14:53 lost the chest strap band um but yeah so
14:59 that kind of sucks I guess uh cuz I wanted to Benchmark them against a chest
15:03 strap which are supposed to be actually pretty good yeah it's not as accurate as
15:06 an ECG no I'm still now that we are back
15:10 because okay I was going to do that in Mexico cuz I want to like run on the beach and make it look all cool and
15:14 stuff but um now I might actually try to
15:18 talk to a local medical clinic which I had already decided before this thing
15:22 came out which is again coincidental and I might try to hook up to an ECG and
15:26 then wear a bunch of these watches and see what happens but I don't know I am
15:30 interested I we're kind of a third party
15:33 we haven't been paid by anyone to make that video we bought our Fitbit tracker
15:37 and I don't think we've ever had a sponsorship from we've never had a
15:41 sponsorship from any Fitness tracker company which what are some of the
15:45 brands you're using we have Garmin we have Vivo fit we have Jawbone we have
15:53 Fitbit uh I think that's about it so
15:56 like we don't have a horse in the race we have an Apple Watch and we might get
16:01 like one or two Android ones although I'm not too sure there's just a billion Android watches I don't really know
16:04 which one to cover but we're doing ones that have heart rate monitors that's the
16:08 whole point so Apple watch is in there a few other ones are in there but we haven't had a sponsorship from anyone
16:12 unless we include like an ASUS watch then iFit won that would suck we
16:18 could also just not include an ASUS watch just go from there I don't know I
16:23 don't follow the uh Android trackers very closely I don't know if this plus
16:27 one for Nike fuel band do we have a Nike fuel band we do not currently have a
16:30 Nike fuel band should we get one maybe somebody says plus one
16:35 i' flee begged I've I've heard that
16:38 they're I've heard that they're good but no I don't know this is interesting um
16:42 the whole reason why I wanted to do the the fitness tracker Showdown which is
16:46 what I've just been describing is because it's confusing when you go to
16:49 buy something you're like I want this Fitness Implement they all say that they
16:53 have heart rate monitors but like it's like in approxim
16:59 how accurate is it right so what I wanted to do is I'm very frustrated
17:03 right now with where smart watches and fitness trackers are I don't feel like
17:07 there's a happy medium so much um
17:11 because like good uh smartw watches
17:15 don't seem to also be good fitness trackers and vice versa good fitness
17:19 trackers don't seem to be good smart watches and the Apple watch is just not
17:23 a good Smartwatch but I've heard that it is a good Fitness tracker so you've got
17:26 that hey it's also an expensive Fitness tracker
17:30 heying yeah nice Wicked all right The
17:33 Show Goes On good things come to those who wait yeah but I've I've heard it's a
17:38 good Fitness tracker but who knows and what I want to do is narrow it down to
17:41 like the top three and then do individual reviews on those fitness
17:45 trackers later on maybe someone says this is boring and that we should bring
17:49 on the PC Harbor topics have they ever been to this show
17:52 before not enough stuff happens have you been here before do you know what this
17:57 is I like I know know this guy's different but like do you know what this
18:01 this whole thing is I'll let you think on
18:06 that uh speaking of Hardware technology
18:09 stuff if you want to talk about the extremely few things that happened this week in the uh computer hardware realm
18:14 of things because spoiler alert computex is coming up so most people are keeping
18:19 their information for that there's a whole bunch we're not going to really
18:22 probably cover it much on this show but there's like every brand of 1080 has
18:27 already shown off their like external cooling solution so rip all of my compex
18:33 coverage but we'll be there we'll be there and I'll be videos anyway hold it
18:37 and turn it around and show you the ASUS one that I saw today was pretty bad it
18:41 looks sick so the ASUS one has like an RGB I'll try here ey logo oh oh oh I'm
18:47 going to try to bring it up sure um yeah it has RGB on it which I don't think
18:51 anyone's completely sure how uh they're
18:54 controlling that yet let's let's go to ASUS PC DIY cuz
19:01 that's literally their thing I wonder if it's like a thing where you have to use
19:05 what is their motherboard RGB thing called again like Aurora or something oh
19:09 yeah something like that I wonder if it like ties into that somehow so it looks like that when all the like lights are
19:14 off and stuff big fatty cooler it's got
19:17 a metal back plate St metal back plate
19:20 that looks badass which is right there yep as s stricks
19:25 cool and then you can see here oh yeah aura
19:29 looks like Aura I thought no one knew apparently pcdiy which is ASUS's thing
19:34 was like yo I guess everyone can know now so that's cool so it has static
19:38 breathing strobing color cycle music effect which is horrible in my opinion
19:44 and CPU temperature levels which is wait it has a strobing effect with your music
19:49 no it has it has just music effect which pulses to the beat of your music yeah
19:53 cuz it's 1994 my dad okay that joke is because
19:58 got some underglow on it I guess 1994 is actually too late 1984 I don't know my
20:03 dad when he earlier than that how old are you dad I don't know anyways when my
20:07 dad was in like high school or something he made this like electronic thought
20:11 your dad was in high school in 1994 yeah I got
20:16 confused I I was four when my dad was in high school he was a early breeder uh
20:21 anyways so I I think what happened was you plugged your 3.5 mm into one end and
20:26 then it passed through to your speakers and it would like light up with it he
20:32 made that when he was in high school that's pretty dope we're bringing it
20:36 back all right yeah cool anyways the
20:40 LEDs on it look actually pretty cool and pretty well placed in my opinion just
20:43 kind of go around the outside looks pretty I like I saw it I was like yeah I
20:47 like it IO configuration looks standard
20:50 no two two HDMI two DisplayPort and one
20:55 DVI an interesting choice so what standard I unless I'm crazy I believe
21:01 standard is one HDMI 2.0 three display p
21:05 1.4s and uh DVI oh okay I could be wrong
21:09 so they just swapped out a DisplayPort for an HD and it's
21:12 $639 199 which confirms what I thought
21:16 that the addin cards are going to be less than the founders more the founders
21:21 is 599 oh is that right John yeah so the
21:26 reason why I thought this was cuz they were saying like oh MSRP of add in board
21:30 partner cards will be way like $100 lower to $4.99 or whatever right but I
21:36 think that didn't account for any changes that they made so ASUS brought
21:40 in like RGB and all this other kind of
21:43 stuff and it costs way more now right so maybe but they said addin cards I know
21:49 but I think but like this is a badass add-in card yeah so like so like I think
21:54 someone might make like some plastic shroud and it might be cheap and then it
21:58 can be as low as $499 I don't think it's
22:01 going to be like this is what they're all going to be I think it's going to be like this is the Baseline of add in
22:06 board so like the cheapest 10 that you're going to be able to get is going
22:09 to be $4.99 I think hopefully yeah that
22:12 would be pretty dope I guess we might as well just go through everyone's 1080s
22:16 because why not EVGA 10p is
22:21 599 sorry that's the founders card you're off by 100
22:25 bucks for the cheap the founders card is $5.99
22:29 6699 oh $6.99 so is it cheaper then is
22:33 what cheaper this is $639 right less so the crazy RGB triple
22:39 fan stricks is less than the founders is less than the founders
22:43 Edition yeah yeah all right cool what
22:48 that's kind of insane the stock cooled variant will be
22:51 620 and this is only 640 St clocked variant sorry the hot clocked OC version
22:57 will be 640 which I have a video on overclocking
23:00 1080s that will be coming out soon soonish probably after computex I'm not
23:05 sure um there's some really cool new
23:08 stuff with GP boost 3.0 four fan hits blah blah blah blah
23:13 blah blah blah I want them to tell me about power additional horsepower that's
23:18 not what I meant twitch chat's so funny man what are they saying they're just so
23:23 funny man not in the EU yeah not in Canada
23:27 either bro yeah not at all in Canada either not at
23:31 all H oo GPU boost clock of
23:36 1936 that actually sounds right
23:40 around quite similar to the like not
23:44 super crazy pushing it but kind of borderline of the founders Edition so I
23:48 think you can definitely get more out of that too but uh we'll talk about that
23:53 later let's move on to the EVGA bringing 1080
24:01 an onte and Zotac two birds one stone
24:04 dude there we go the Zotac one ah we'll
24:08 see see like this push the limit is maybe n maybe all right and then oh it
24:14 doesn't show the back come on show me all thect it's just like giant push the
24:19 limit yeah which I'm not super sure about let's just do this Zotac
24:26 1080 and then images wow what are those that's kind of
24:32 insane I haven't seen that yet pgf Edition so we're going to check all
24:37 these things more in depth when we're at the show but this looks like a height
24:40 extended and width extended graphics card from
24:44 Zotac looks huge there this is the one
24:47 that I was talking about like it looks like they just slapped a sticker on it
24:50 that says push the limit and the thing that really makes me sad is it looks so
24:55 sweet without that right without the
24:58 like weird like push the limit yeah like I like the striping yeah and if I
25:02 remember correctly the lower end one not the like amp exclamation mark thing yeah
25:07 it doesn't have that so let's go to the link real quick this is on video cards
25:11 so there's the two fan and the three fan versions the three fan version has
25:15 pushed the limit on it the Omega and the extreme or whatever yeah three fan
25:21 version push the limit Twan version clean back see I like that and it looks
25:25 better and it's like damn it oh you can see
25:28 there's two power fingers there good
25:34 yes okay that's awesome one thing that I've been a little bit annoyed about by
25:38 the founders Edition is spoiler alert for my overclocking video that's coming
25:42 out one of the things that held it back multiple times with the new OC Scanner
25:46 mode which I'll explain in that video is it was hitting power limits and I think
25:51 that's because of the one PCI Express power that was powering it so hopefully
25:55 this card will give it more both of these cards will give it more because
25:58 they have two PCI Express power plugs that's what I was looking for on the
26:01 ASUS page and couldn't find it sure me
26:05 one second G
26:09 1080 1080 Founders Edition no I want your aftermarket one
26:18 dog there we go that looks pretty sweet
26:21 it's all like metal it's like not symmetrical though not symmetrical oh
26:26 you're right that kind of bothers me that's a little
26:29 weird and honestly this part I don't like it
26:33 all I'm actually okay with it really
26:36 yeah like that's I guess it's not plugged in so you can't tell if it like
26:40 glows or anything maybe it has like backlighting
26:43 mhm it might RGB backlit that would be pretty effing cool here we go it looks
26:49 like it is lit up maybe not RGB but it's
26:52 white back liing with a looks SC I actually like that I like that a lot
26:56 that might look all right I don't know if it looks great with that board in particular sure but I think like if you
27:01 used not to just chill but the the color
27:05 thing works together the ASUS like deluxe board in white considering that's
27:10 white backlighting then the green SC would bother some people yeah I don't
27:14 know though I don't know maybe we'll
27:18 see anyways graphics cards we'll be covering a bunch of those at comex more
27:25 in depth talking about their clock speeds their prices
27:29 hopefully um what power Delivery Systems
27:32 they have all that kind of stuff at computex there will be a few videos
27:36 there um I wouldn't worry too much about it evj it's another one we need to
27:41 figure out right forgot about that okay
27:44 moving
27:50 on another like people getting sued
27:53 thing uh the jury has sided with Google in a battle over Android softare W with
27:58 Oracle so and Android Google dodged A9
28:03 billion potential bullet here which would have been very brutal the federal
28:08 jury just found on Thursday that Google didn't need permission to use a Rivals
28:13 programming tool as it built Android also known as like Java and stuff um so
28:19 Google argued that because it is used only a small part of java to create
28:23 Android it qualified for a fair use exemption from copyright and apparently
28:29 the jury's verdict marks Google's second victory in the case
28:35 wow that's kind of crazy that is pretty crazy especially because they just got
28:39 slammed in I don't remember where for like not paying taxes or something so
28:44 like billions of dollars there billions of dollars here that could have been a
28:48 pretty brutal combo but Oracle said it will appeal the latest verdict on
28:52 numerous grounds um saw that coming yeah
28:56 I mean with every appeal it gets more difficult for them but like I'm sure
29:00 they're not just going to let it go yeah Android's huge billion billion is kind
29:05 ofid something to fight for speaking of lots of money to fight for uh Japan
29:10 there was an ATM Heist that reportedly involved over a 100 or about a 100
29:15 people exactly and they stole what is equivalent to 12.7 million us or 1.4
29:22 billion yen it used South African credit
29:25 cards they hit 1,400 different ATMs and they withdrew about the equivalent of
29:30 $900 at each ATM you know it's kind of
29:34 funny um are you familiar with uh the
29:38 Cod player nade shot do you know who that is no actually he's like a pretty
29:43 pretty big on YouTube um just like General like Pro gaming guy he used to
29:47 be on optic okay um so he just started a
29:52 new org called hundred thieves so like
29:56 there was a guardian article that was like 100 thieves steals 12.3 million US
30:02 Dollars and people were just tweeting it at him being like I see you I see you
30:06 Nate I see where you got that funny for that new team oh my goodness that is ridiculous
30:11 pretty hilarious actually like yeah apparently the um
30:17 rter apparently Rutter Africa um is
30:21 daating that standard bank is estimating its total losses to be at about 300
30:25 million Rand or 19
30:30 million that's prior to any potential recoveries that may happen there was a
30:34 hundred thieves see what I did there uh
30:37 included in this Heist so I'm sure they'll catch some of them and recover
30:42 some of the money I mean like stuff like this happens from time to time I
30:45 remember it must have been like five or six years ago now but I remember hearing about something that happened in like
30:49 the state of New York I think where people did a similar thing with like 30
30:53 different people so like this is obviously insane 100 people coordinated
30:56 in an attack like that is ridiculous but it is ridiculous and the thing is you
31:00 catch some of them and that's probably going to help you catch others so I
31:03 guess we'll have to see uh how many people get nailed for this that is a lot
31:09 of money and you think about it how many ATMs was it
31:12 1,400 ATMs yeah and 100 people so each
31:17 person went to an average of 14 ATMs and
31:21 withdrew $900 each time you think about the amount of security cameras that they
31:25 passed it's insane and like the the the window that it was in there's so many of
31:29 these guys going to ATMs and they're all like $900 transactions cuz that's the
31:34 most you can take out so it's super easy to track the transactions it's super
31:38 easy to track like the window of people walking up to these ATMs just and
31:42 there's so many cameras from so many angles like H yeah some people are going
31:48 to get nailed a few people will a few people
31:52 will the people who are like at the top are already in the Cayman or gone super
31:57 gone gone it's going to be interesting in a few years when something like this
32:02 happens and we're like yeah the people in charge are like on Mars
32:08 already they already took a SpaceX shuttle out they're gone yeah they're
32:12 gone they called up the boy Elon like y
32:16 we got some money we got cash dude let's get us out let's get us out now um what
32:21 else I going to say yeah I I wonder if part of the idea of pulling in so many
32:25 people into this is you have your core little group you have dummies and you
32:29 have a whole bunch of dummies yeah who are hoping not to say that they're
32:33 stupid people but just people who are set up essentially like oh yeah you're
32:37 going to this one no you don't need a mask yeah yeah we disabled the cameras
32:42 for you we disabled the look more suspicious if you wear a mask blah blah
32:46 blah blah blah things that sound they're just set up essentially yeah I wouldn't
32:50 be too surprised y anyways foxcon replaced 60,000 Factory
32:56 workers with ro robots it reduced its employee strength from
33:02 110,000 employees to 50,000 employees
33:05 quote unquote thanks to the introduction of robots so there's no uh no
33:11 carefulness going on there they're they're they're currently
33:16 saying that more companies are likely to follow suit um apparently many of the
33:21 manufacturing tasks associated with their operations are that aren't already
33:26 automated are in current plans to be
33:30 automated um they said that they will continue to harness Automation and
33:34 Manpower in our manufacturing operations and we expect to maintain our
33:38 significant Workforce in China although
33:42 who knows what that really means because you can just Define significant as
33:45 whatever the hell you want and like maintain a significant Workforce in
33:49 China like if their Workforce in China's already like multiple hundreds of
33:54 thousands of people maybe significant to them is 20,000 exactly that's what I
33:58 mean they can decide whatever significant is uh one report from deoe
34:01 and Oxford University is suggesting that 35% of all jobs are at risk over the
34:08 next 20 years that's not just like in China That's although to be completely
34:13 honest a large percentage of that will be in China uh formal McDonald's chief
34:18 executive red Ren or Ed renzy sorry uh
34:21 has recently said that it's cheaper to buy a $35,000 robotic ARM than it is to
34:26 hire an employee who is inefficient making $15 an hour bagging french
34:33 fries yeah I
34:36 mean you know I think I said this at the top of the show but
34:40 like this is essentially the third Industrial Revolution right yeah um
34:46 because it was what steam electricity and then like steam electricity and then
34:51 uh robotics now essentially I think I think the first one was steam second
34:56 anyway it's but what essentially ends up
34:59 happening in the first two is that yeah the the lowest end jobs get cut and then
35:05 those people are actualized in more fulfilling positions whereas this time
35:09 around I mean in this series that may
35:13 happen to a degree um where more jobs become available once the technolog is
35:17 instated um but like we're heading down a dangerous road for sure like I don't
35:21 want to call it you know the end or anything because the demon yeah just
35:26 because you know I'm sure when
35:29 electricity was introduced everyone called The Demon and and and uh was
35:35 freaking out but the problem right
35:38 now in my opinion is that there's already a huge jobs problem right and
35:45 you're just dumping way more people into a huge jobs problem right
35:52 um and the problem with automation by robots is you're just literally
35:57 replacing anything that isn't
36:01 like a vocal position and even then
36:05 people are starting to prefer non-vocal robotic transactions where people
36:09 thought they would not in places like grocery stores people are starting to
36:12 line up for the self-use automated tellers instead of going to the people
36:17 that do it for them um it's always crazy
36:21 to me when like uh the the one that I
36:25 noticed the most is bank tellers when you'll come in and you'll be like hey I
36:29 need cash I need to deposit or whatever and they'll be like oh we have an app
36:32 where you can deposit your checks on your phone and I'm like you're putting
36:35 yourself out of a job like what are you doing yeah so I mean I don't want to
36:40 like I said I don't want to be the guy who you know brings thunderstorms and
36:45 say says oh this is the end but I mean it's it's scary for sure and at the very
36:50 least it's an extremely transitional time um and a lot of people are going to
36:53 be caught in the crap for sure and there's massive news reports everywhere
36:58 like uber trying as hard as they can actively to make so that they never have
37:03 to have another driver again and it's all automated um transport Industries
37:08 everywhere are on the brink of just like firing everyone because they can
37:12 automate all of their driving oh my goodness like I used to
37:16 work for a company called Canada Bread Factory if that place doesn't get
37:19 automated in a year I would be surprised cuz there's like nothing there was
37:24 literally a job where you go like this and you pick up up the bread and then
37:28 you rotate for like a little bit and then put it in a tray and then go back
37:33 and pick up the bread and then rotate and put it in a tray like the fact that
37:37 that wasn't already automated is Prett incred wild so it'll be automated
37:41 eventually and the driving from that place was you because it wasn't really a
37:45 warehouse it was just a distribution center they would drive semi-trucks not
37:50 very far and dump off all the bread and then drive them back and it was routine
37:54 routes every single time and people not the drivers would just fill up the
37:58 trucks so if they automated filling up the trucks which would be extremely easy
38:02 and automated the driving which would be extremely easy because it's the same
38:06 route every single time that just no one needs to work there except for
38:11 mechanics and like you you could say like oh everyone's just going to get a
38:14 specialized trade and just fix the robots not enough jobs at all our
38:19 population is constantly increasing yeah and like not enough jobs and so many
38:24 people are caught in like I said the wave of crap of like okay now you're
38:28 useless and you either have to go back to school or figure something else out
38:34 um yeah it's just it's going to be it's going to be interesting it's to be least
38:41 yeah not so sure about that
38:48 anyways ad spots and Nick is here this time so if I super screw them up he can
38:53 just tell me in person immediately which is good I'm doing my lend.com com dance
38:57 because I like Lind linda.com I can find the notes on this it's used by millions
39:01 of people around the world more than 3,000 courses are available in topics like web development photography visual
39:05 design and business I'm taking a photography course even though I'm
39:10 trying to learn how to film stuff the reason why I'm doing that is because it
39:14 has more like slower for people that have no idea what
39:18 they're talking about including me explanations of different things like
39:22 exposure Theory and stuff like that so then I can apply that to the video side
39:27 of things what I really like about the course that I'm going through I'm going to skip most
39:30 of the notes and just go over my personal stuff but I I'll try to get through the notes anyways um is that I
39:35 can like be doing something else and listening to it and then go like okay I
39:38 think I missed like half of that because I got way too engrossed in what I was
39:41 working on skip back to the last word in the script that you can read below the
39:45 video that I heard and recognize or if I
39:48 don't understand something fully I can just skip back to the beginning of the word it's just a really easy way of
39:53 skipping through videos I can also take notes on their app and I can log the
39:57 like library of courses that I want to go through so I created a course plan
40:00 for myself that gets me through all the different photography courses that I
40:03 want to do and that gets me into some filming courses and then gets me into
40:08 some editing courses and stuff and yeah because you can make your own playlists
40:11 right yeah that's pretty darn cool so I like made my own thing yeah and then I'm
40:16 just going along it which is way easier because I basically formed my own
40:20 overall course out of a whole bunch of course modules that they gave me and
40:24 they do have overall courses that they can just use uh that you can just use on
40:28 your own I just have a weird random amount of Knowledge from like working
40:32 with Brandon and stuff so I could skip some of them so I just did it that way
40:36 um it's a way to up your job skills which you know with
40:41 automation might be really helpful and I believe it's only 25 bucks a month and
40:46 you can start a 10day free trial by going to linda.com wow so if you're like
40:51 whoa my job just got automated or whoa
40:54 it's going to be really easy to automate my job you might want to just start
40:59 early and figure out what you're going to do later now it's an interesting
41:03 sales pitch for Linda it's topical show today it works
41:10 uh fresh books if what you start doing with the skills that you learned from
41:14 Linda because your job was automated is something like working for yourself
41:18 because you know you're not going to automate yourself out of a job or if you
41:21 do you can just pay your wages to yourself that you would have gotten from
41:26 your automated thing doing stuff um
41:29 anyways you can keep track of the hours that your robot works and exactly what
41:34 it did and when and wear and all that kind of stuff quickly and easily through their app and if your robot has any
41:39 expenses you can have your robot just take a picture of the receipt and it
41:43 will handle all the rest of it so you don't have to be like hey robot what did
41:46 you spend money on today it'll just do it all for you which is great your robot
41:51 can take deposits before it does the work so you can make sure that the guy
41:55 doesn't just try to like kick it over when it's done done the job you actually make some of the money at least
42:01 um what are we
42:05 doing H they have a mobile version and a desktop version so you can take fresh
42:10 books with you wherever you go so you can be like you know just driving in
42:13 your automated car down the road and just like make sure that your robot has
42:18 received the deposit what the heck is that noise that is so annoying and it's
42:22 gone that's good anyways go to freshbooks.com wow and enter Wan in the
42:27 how to hear about a section when you sign up for a free trial just so you
42:31 know also
42:35 Squarespace no slogan not saying
42:38 anything about different stuff they have 247 live chat support if you want to set
42:43 up your website or uh like buy a domain
42:46 through them they have over I think about 200 top level domains so like dot
42:51 whatever the heck you want they have responsive design for the website so if
42:55 you view it on a massive variety of different devices that'll look cool in
42:58 different various configurations they have Commerce modules so you can sell
43:03 things uh you make a cover page did you say that no I was going to do that one
43:07 next so if you need a new job because you couldn't think of something to do on
43:11 your own and you trained in all these Linda skills but you haven't found a job
43:16 yet you can use your cover page module on Squarespace to show yourself off be
43:22 like I am better than an automated robot because I know how to use photom masop
43:30 hopefully your browser has spell check so you can fix photoshops and make it
43:33 Photoshop anyways you can start a trial today with no credit card required and
43:37 build your website for your business or your blog or your cat or your robot or
43:41 whatever you want head over to Squarespace use offer code Linus get 10%
43:44 off your first purchase thank you Squarespace for supporting the W show uh
43:49 with your continued support we will hopefully not be replaced by robots
43:52 although Nick might like that because the robots probably wouldn't screw up the sponsor spots yeah yeah but then I
43:58 would get replaced by robot probably as
44:01 well yeah I like how you said you can
44:05 make a website or a Blog about your cat and then you didn't say dog
44:11 oh well because your dog is you were like you could can make a website or
44:15 your blog about your cat or like other stuff I was like thought he was going to
44:20 just rap like a Squarespace rap oh I probably should have that would have
44:24 been or like a whatever that that theme sign that they did like a couple years
44:28 ago square space started today I don't
44:32 remember the whole thing I don't know that was dropped super oh man
44:36 Squarespace needs to get a slogan they probably dropped it because you made fun
44:40 of it let's be honest really but then they should have kept you should or
44:44 build it beautiful because we made it awesome monster
44:48 cat monster cat hype monster C that's
44:52 not live so you can't like see it happening I know okay yeah somebody said
44:56 I didn't mean the show is not live just want to clarify that before people start
45:00 going all conspiracy theory um I've showed my screen on screen look you can
45:04 see the like date and time and stuff and
45:07 like Zan buor said we must stop technology this has gone too far destroy
45:12 all the robots exclamation exclamation exclamation that's a little aggressive I
45:15 don't think destroying all the robots is the right idea robots by the way I'm on
45:18 your side uh speaking of which being on the side of the robots and whatever else
45:23 the first Tesla driver was caught sleeping with autopilot on
45:27 have you heard about this no so he was crashed in the car like okay saying
45:32 crashed is the wrong thing to say I was like he crashed whoa that's not okay to
45:37 say in this context he was zoned out in the car he he was asleep what I was
45:42 trying to say so he's asleep in the car you can see on this video it's
45:46 vertically filmed and stuff he's he's out literally you see that unless he has
45:51 like one eye open and is just driving like this extremely unlikely super doubt
45:56 so he's out and you can see autopilot driving him he's he's stopped there
46:00 because traffic slowed down and he picks up again he's just scooting along in
46:05 traffic no big deal it's it's tight traffic like it's not like this is super
46:10 fast speeds or anything this car is almost stopping again just keeps rolling
46:15 amazing so the guy the guy fell asleep in the
46:18 car and autopilot saved him which is like not really a feature don't do that
46:24 but it's maybe he had autopilot on and he's just been sleeping in his car on
46:28 his way home from work the whole like for 3 months and like nobody's caught
46:32 him yet and it's just getting better and better and learning the whole time I
46:35 mean maybe he's a national hero that's
46:39 cool he's teaching autopilot how to be sentient I could be super wrong I don't
46:43 think you can give autopilot like a map I think it just drives down the road so
46:50 he's like wake up like super far down I
46:54 could be wrong someone in twitch chat's going to like couver he ends up in like
46:59 Colona W up like what that's like that's
47:02 like 4 hours away yeah um in twitch chat's going to correct me I'm waiting
47:06 for twitch chat to catch up Google Maps I would totally do that in traffic car
47:11 you shouldn't do that you should not do that that's not like a thing
47:14 yet Anchor Man 2 what does that have to do with anything I have no idea Ashley
47:19 he'll wake up when the Tesla runs out of batteries that is incorrect
47:24 okay you're wrong okay so I guess you
47:27 can put a map in because people are very angry that's that's that's fine that's
47:32 fine it probably would run out some people are saying that it's fake which is a little bit
47:36 disappointing um knowing the internet say everything's fake yeah but knowing
47:40 the internet these days a lot of it is it could be fake yeah yeah so I don't
47:43 know I wouldn't be super surprised it's let's get our tinf foil hats on it was
47:48 done by the oil companies maybe it was actually that would be a really bad
47:52 thing for them to do because it's kind of promotion for how awesome autopilot
47:55 is yeah yeah but at the same time then they could spin it as like doing PR
48:00 releases about like Tesla drivers are totally idiots
48:07 that was really bad I just I need to go I'm gonna I'm gonna go appease the
48:11 twitch chat real quick how how you're going to appease the twitch chat real
48:15 quick what does that mean what are you doing what is it I don't get it oh come
48:22 here come here come here
48:27 try to find a dentist appropriate
48:33 topic what are you doing he just wanted to show his butt off this was a mistake
48:38 no it wasn't he just wanted to show his butt off it's going to work really well
48:42 hello what do you think about Twitter relaxing the 140 character limit there's
48:47 still 140 character limit but like at tagging people and posting photos and
48:52 gifts and videos and polls and quoting people's tweets and various media will
48:55 not count against the character Limit Oh
48:59 I I hate the limit thing you hate it just get everyone's grammar worse cuz I
49:04 have you to you n to n yeah yeah so everyone scammer
49:10 is going to look stupid I so I hit that so are they get putting more so they're
49:14 not getting rid of the character limit the character limit is still exactly the same but like tagging someone in your
49:19 Tweet that's that's helpful uh putting in a like photo or video or poll or
49:25 quoting someone's tweet or anything like that won't count against the limit
49:29 that's good so basically what you say will be 140 characters instead of all
49:33 the junk inside of it I wish they don't count space
49:38 Oh So 140 characters just for like the various words and stuff yeah okay they
49:43 they can come space and common come come on come on in period
49:49 period I think like within reason that
49:52 could be cool like if you do more than one space it counts against
49:57 and if you do more than three periods it
50:00 should count against it in a row because you can do the dot dot dot they need to
50:04 have respons responsibility for everyone's scammer so they need to open
50:09 that I think the thing is people are just going to say more at that point and
50:13 then just chop up their grammar again
50:17 anyways whatever okay that's fine my grammar is it's not good no dude
50:22 everyone's grammar sucks because of Twitter that is a thing you're not wrong
50:26 you recording chat how do you pre-record the chat I don't know man
50:32 um when are they whoa this got changed when are they doing that it's updating
50:36 the thing literally as we go so at names
50:40 no longer count towards the 140 character count media attachments so
50:44 when you attach things it doesn't count towards it retweeting and quoting a
50:48 tweet of your own doesn't count towards it um and the you know when you want to
50:55 like tweet to someone but you want to make it public you put a period at the
50:58 beginning oh I don't have you ever done that no okay well that thing you don't
51:02 have to worry about that anymore that's that's solved I don't
51:09 know I'm trying to find another Dennis
51:12 topic yeah are these two hard for me no
51:16 I just don't think you'll
51:20 care what would Dennis care about hello
51:24 everyone there was a marijuana social network do I care uh
51:30 that um called Mass Roots which was
51:34 supposed to be a Facebook for pot and it was apparently not allowed to join the
51:38 NASDAQ exchange the Denver based social network has
51:42 775,000 users from the 24 states where
51:46 marijuana is um at least to some degree
51:49 legal I guess um including states where
51:53 it's legal recreationally which is like two
51:57 right um I think it's another one just
52:00 passed or something umt and I think
52:05 maybe about that okay so maybe three
52:08 states that it's legal in Mass Roots said that it meets the criteria for
52:12 listing on NASDAQ it has a $40 million
52:15 uh market capitalization value it has well over 300 shareholders um through
52:21 over-the-counter markets nasdaq's denial
52:24 has sent massroots off exchange shares down down
52:28 18% which is actually pretty aggressive what is marijuana social network what
52:33 does it do I actually have no idea they say that it's supposed to be the Facebook for pot so I guess it's here I
52:38 guess we can just go to it let's see like a forum for people who guess who do
52:46 420 who do 420 yes yes it's a forum for
52:50 people who do 420 apparently you have you have to be at least 21 years old or
52:55 have a ID medical marijuana patient or or R okay there we
53:01 go I I guess I can't click this wait you
53:06 wait like no because then it would be showing it to the whole
53:10 stream oh is it why wouldn't it be I don't know but
53:16 does that mean I'm a bad person that mean you're you're you're promoting the
53:20 promoting the marijuana yeah I don't know cuz I'm not I'm not telling people
53:24 to do so but I would be showing them a that's behind a I don't know what do
53:29 said about it I don't I don't know but
53:32 then we're the stream is going into the states in California where it's not
53:36 legal right it's legal if you have a permit I'm assuming can I've seen like
53:41 pot magazines being sold openly in mainstream bookstores in states where
53:45 it's very illegal I don't think okay so let's just confirm it and it brings us
53:50 to nothing there's an app join for
53:53 editor's Choice buds wow I guess the
53:57 like friends feed is called buds oh dear
54:01 uh about us log in the okay the homepage
54:04 where it says login has like advertise blog business and investors and a which
54:11 is very weird for like an actual social
54:14 network but anyways that's fine let's click on the about us oh dear shop okay
54:20 so they're also trying to sell things let's look at the brand Marana super
54:26 Elite go in Taiwan is it mhm super illegal not just regular you go to jail
54:31 Beyond regular illegal yeah compared to do you get like
54:36 branded with a with a M for
54:39 marijuana here yeah here right there
54:43 okay yeah no not an a for adult it's just as they think it's as bad as some
54:49 other kind of P drugs like I don't know
54:53 like the bad um what's that like cocaine or meth and stuff
54:58 camine ketamine ketamine right wow smoke social I guess I don't
55:05 know you don't to jail you don't go to jail if you take katamine camine camine
55:10 in Taiwan but you go to jail if you swoke really yes that's really dumb yes
55:15 extremely backwards okay I'm assuming
55:19 considering you can there's your your buds tab which I'm assuming is your
55:23 friends and then there's the local tab I'm assuming um that you can use it for
55:27 like smoking weed get
55:30 togethers so this app will have like a fairly normal amount of traffic and then
55:35 it'll be April 20th and the whole app will just crash because way too much
55:40 traffic and then it'll be April 21st and everything will come back down and then
55:44 it'll go back to normal amounts of traffic
55:51 again I don't know let's see what twitch chat has to say about this kids don't do
55:56 drugs yep yes I'm going to
56:00 computex Stoner Paradise weed get
56:03 together yeah I think that's I think that's what it
56:07 is now is I wonder if one of their first users was uh Snoop Dogg probably yeah
56:14 Snoop Dog's just like yeah I'll run like this whole thing for you if you
56:20 want some someone in chat just said in all capital letters I like dick yeah was
56:25 I was I was going to that's super helpful what we're currently talking
56:29 about read that maybe they can post that on the weed social network and someone
56:34 can be like let's do an exchange here I'll give you some some weed and wait no
56:39 I'd have to go the other round you give me some weed and I'll you know what
56:44 facilitate I wonder if that would be prostitution would that be prostitution
56:47 I mean if it's completely consensual through both people yeah but so is
56:51 regular prostitution and if you're sharing it it's not technically a Trader
56:55 exem change just sharing things that you
56:59 actually don't think it is anyway because I think it has to be like actual pecuniary compensation I think cash I
57:04 don't know I think need to be actual money not exchanging weed for for access
57:09 to penis is this one of those things that sounds illegal but probably I have
57:15 no idea aside from I I really wonder though this this would be very
57:19 interesting uh anyways I I guess it's uh
57:23 time to move on in in topics
57:29 H let's see here what's some interesting
57:33 stuff so much of this sucks way to put
57:36 really dumb topics in the list Colton thanks I'm just roasting Colton because
57:41 I I didn't uh I didn't approve any of this before we started so he's
57:45 like apparently cryo rig has announced a new Mac Pro in inspired case so
57:50 everyone's just ignored the fact that it's basically literally just a garbage
57:54 can uh so able system makers and enthusiasts to build Mac Pro styled
57:58 gaming computers so we're probably going to review this so that lonus can make a
58:01 holy [ __ ] episode um let's
58:06 see what that it's a cylinder oh
58:13 whoa designed by Gamers kind of and
58:16 inspired by the Mac Pro I guess it would
58:19 technically be designed by Gamers if those people gamed ah see they have a
58:23 1080 in there
58:26 it's a pretty efficient way to make a small low volume computer I guess Dennis
58:33 we're going to build you want to call it the Power Tower oh Power Tower that
58:36 would be cool we should make the whole thing look like a okay we should do a
58:39 modding video where we make the whole thing look like like a big red fist then
58:44 we just give it to Dennis and call it the Power Tower oh that be so cool like
58:47 a demonic looking red fist we wouldn't
58:50 we want to make it look like a like an actual
58:54 like power type power like he was talking about in the game like the the
58:59 uh transmitter transmitter yes
59:02 transmitter what do you it's called trans
59:07 poweres electronic Power Tower what
59:11 about what were you guys talking about this off camera or something no uh remember 3D Pictionary yeah 3D power
59:17 really loud oh I I never watched it okay oh yeah I don't know I have no idea yeah
59:23 the 1080 looks pretty cool in there with its PCI
59:27 e extension thing going on
59:30 mhm cold come in heat go out very
59:34 helpful good yes the top looks kind of cool it looks like one of those
59:38 ginormous drills that they used to drill like underground oh like a tunnel Boring
59:42 Machine it kind of does yeah so you you might be able to Tunnel bore with your
59:46 computer case which is always a helpful feature so it supports sfx power
59:51 supplies Mini ITX motherboards it weighs 5 kilograms uh it dimensions in terms of
59:57 width height and depth is 226 millimeters
60:01 378.5 millimeters 25 millimet it has one
60:05 3 and 1 half inch Drive Bay which is actually kind of impressive I didn't realize that and it has one or two 2 and
60:10 a half inch Drive Bay so I'm assuming that 3 and 1 half inch is just you know
60:14 both it supports cooler uh CPU Cooler dimensions of up to 72 to 82 mm in
60:20 height I don't know why there's like a range there and why it's not just a 82
60:26 mm in height anyways graphics cards
60:29 length is 280 mm and power supp length
60:33 is 130 millimet you are probably going to have to take note of like all of
60:36 those dimensions and they will probably be quite important because it's pretty
60:39 compact um the external connectors are Power Audio USB 3.0 and
60:45 display but uh that's just for the case
60:49 so obviously if you put a motherboard in there you would have more
60:53 IO is this something that interests you what is this you like that more oh
60:57 that's cool is pretty cool wait the case
61:00 has a display connector is that what you said it says
61:05 display I don't know whatever that means
61:08 it's probably like an LCD display I don't think we saw it on here maybe it's
61:14 this like whitish thing maybe that's an LCD
61:17 display because the motherboard and the graphics card aren't in there yet so
61:21 they can't claim those oh it's like that thing that bit Phoenix has but yeah I
61:25 think so the tacu neat slim holds your
61:29 display that's actually pretty
61:32 cool like a computer
61:35 tray this might be a new announcement as well I'm not sure I've never seen it
61:39 before personally it looks awesome I kind of like this one more the drawer
61:45 one yeah it's super basic because we've
61:50 had like slim Tower computers that lay flat for a long time yeah um but I
61:56 actually really like how you can pull it out as if it's on a tray that's super
62:01 cool cuz we did um on a desk PC mhm but
62:05 you have to go down to change things if you need to yeah and you don't
62:09 necessarily have to like again this has been done I don't think the pullout tray
62:13 necessarily has been done but a flat computer isn't exactly new but you could
62:17 strap this onto the bottom of your desk which would make it super cool I like
62:20 the implementation that they have which is where it's just a stand for your
62:23 monitor that's actually pretty sweet cuz your monitor if I remember correctly the
62:27 middle of your monitor is supposed to be right at your ey height so like this
62:32 monitor that we have here which it's top is here is clearly too low for me
62:37 because that's the top of the monitor so it should be the top should be like way
62:41 up here and the middle should be here and it's not so the Sentra all over
62:45 again yeah the Sentra yeah exactly um so
62:49 like it's helpful to prop monitors up on things I don't know I think that's
62:53 pretty cool what do you think Dennis what one's your
62:56 favorite the those two yeah I like the
62:59 drawer one the drawer one not the cylinder one yeah not the Power
63:08 Tower the drawer one I like the thing you can put on the desk you can open it
63:14 yeah yeah cool Tower
63:18 one well I always think that kind of design is kind of like a garbage can
63:26 although now it doesn't like look like it dips in because the heat sinks at the
63:30 top that's a goodlooking one Rays out of the top and look like fin so it probably
63:34 won't really look like a garbage can anymore yeah but I prefer flat flat
63:39 thing yeah you heard it here first Dennis
63:43 hears uh prefers it flat not round
63:46 doesn't like the round really just
63:50 curve you like curves curves you like curves curves you like curves likes
63:56 curves okay good to know anyways uh are you excited for
64:01 comex yeah yeah Le let's talk about that for a second tell me about the the
64:06 school that you told me about oh so uh in Taiwan there's a Esports school yeah
64:13 like profession there's a professional team and they have them as a um a coach
64:19 so you can go there you can sign up there for free but I don't know if
64:23 they're still doing that like probably two years go a year ago do you know what
64:26 it's called it's called spider
64:30 esport and okay so you sign out on every
64:33 Wednesday they have like two days or three days training so you have to go
64:37 there and sleep there they have a dorm and you can shower and they have all the
64:42 roles and your parents need to sign the contract too saying or your kids is
64:46 staying there for like two or three days training wow so did you find it no I
64:50 can't find it no don't uh put tan don't put tan put uh SPID
64:56 spider Esports
65:04 School comes up with schools from Norway don't worry about it just keep
65:09 going oh that'll be cool to show I'll I'll try to keep so so you can sign up
65:14 for free and they have two or three days training they teach you how to play um
65:20 Counter Strike what any the other kind
65:23 of games and they have all the kind PCS and
65:27 uh teachers for you
65:30 but I don't know if they still do that now I tried to contact them but no one
65:36 wants answer did you find their website
65:39 yeah but they don't have phone number I download their sign off
65:43 form oh that
65:47 one that's a Wikipedia uh oh here yeah can you no not
65:53 that one not that one one sec guys okay want to shoot this
66:01 no um okay so there's another school in
66:05 there's another two or three un universities in Taiwan they have um
66:10 Esports you can major in esport in the
66:14 University that's super weird yeah so you get Esports degree yes so is that
66:19 like to become a coach or to become a player player player and they form their
66:25 they do their team in their school and cuz esport is getting like really good
66:29 now in Taiwan the government kind of like start focusing the development of
66:34 esport now yeah the new government like
66:39 to do like new thing so we have a lot of
66:42 Esports things going on in Taiwan if you want to learn or join a team can go to
66:49 Taiwan there has a lot of um try out you
66:53 can do like every week I think wow
66:56 that's crazy getting a degree in being an Esports player seems ridiculous to me
67:02 because like University and uh
67:06 post-secondary education degrees in general are constantly sort of losing
67:11 their value compared to uh experience because of how easy it
67:16 is to show your experience these days uh due to how connected the internet is
67:20 it's easy to show how much of something you've done or prove how much of
67:24 something you've done so I think okay it's a very general statement in
67:29 certain positions being able to show your experience is much more effective
67:32 than showing your degree in other positions you need a degree I don't see
67:36 Esports being a thing where you have to show your degree I feel like you'd be
67:42 like hey look at my KD ratio look at this demo reel play a game with me watch
67:49 uh sorry this uh address
67:52 SF sfwa
67:55 y i Yi dotw
68:01 oh so I can show you guys the
68:05 thing okay so that's their
68:08 website so this is their website
68:12 Uzi they have a advertisement for an
68:15 Uzi on the front of their
68:19 thing 's SF no wait Uzi SF
68:26 oh that's another there's so many online games
68:30 Special Forces is this like a specific I think not that one game that they play
68:35 not that one I'm not this one
68:38 this this SF do w a
68:43 y.t SL index yeah this is it oh but why it's different because you're on the
68:47 mobile site oh yeah okay Sam spider Sam
68:54 yeah he he's awesome I'm going to click on
69:01 him internet's going slow because it's coming from
69:06 Taiwan does it actually matter if we go to for uh like eight different countries
69:11 website sort of oh they could have caching servers in like different areas
69:16 and stuff I'm assuming they don't let me see if I can cool so I'm assuming this
69:20 is like them in class uho
69:26 that looks like a classroom they saying like Okay his father uh support him to
69:32 reach his dream so his his parent like
69:36 worry about he would just abandon his uh
69:39 uh school if he's doing esport yeah and
69:42 they support him and but they're worried about him leaving scho so he joined to
69:47 the team okay if you go to this school
69:51 do you still take normal classes no that
69:54 that's not like formal class like not formal University just extracurricular
69:59 activities yeah it's like a uh Learning Center yeah okay somewhere that's the
70:03 place I think um so there are some there's a there's a school called taipe
70:10 taipe City College type a CT technology
70:13 or technology University or something
70:16 they have they have like program you can take
70:22 Esports really cool right so we might try to go check check these guys out but
70:26 they haven't responded to us or whatever I'm trying really hard to reach them but
70:31 hey you can get a fun buddy that's cool fun
70:36 buddy fun yeah you ever gotten a fun buddy off
70:40 this website D and what else we going to check we
70:46 might go check some internet cafe Taiwan
70:50 yeah we have a lot of internet cafe they have um gaming PC and
70:55 all the set up for you and just for a really cheap price they do like hourly
71:00 and you can stay for probably like four bucks for two hours or I don't remember
71:04 for it's just really cheap and or you can stay there overnight it's open 24
71:09 hours and they have a shower room for you if you need to shower and they have
71:12 meals and they have so there's like
71:16 there's relatively common stories of people that just stay at these internet
71:20 cafes for extremely extended periods of time and I don't mean like oh my God 26
71:26 hours I mean like like weeks and stuff
71:29 so yeah and so a lot of high school students or Junior High School student
71:34 when they after school they just go
71:38 there go to internet cafe and when I was
71:41 in um Junior High School our teachers
71:44 they ban people to go there what they they they don't yeah they how do you do
71:50 that they go yeah once you leave the school aren't you on your own time well
71:53 they go to internet C catch you if you go there so if you're not studying they
71:59 will contact yourent and you stay there for long and they say that um they think
72:05 internet cafe is just as bad as like a nightclub so you shouldn't go there are
72:10 they going to nightclubs to find that sounds so obene they think people are
72:14 addicted to games in Taiwan so the
72:18 teachers B student yeah not not just in
72:21 Taiwan but everywhere people are addicted to games yeah it's kind of
72:24 ridiculous that's not their business I think yeah that that is nuts that's
72:29 their parents have to do that not them yeah
72:33 so but now in Taiwan there are so many internet cafes that's cool though we
72:38 only have like I never seen one here do we have one there used to be one in
72:42 Langley and then there was a fire in it and it's gone oh and it never came back
72:48 I think there's one in Vancouver and there was one on Vancouver Island when I
72:53 used to live there other than that I don't know of any it's not really a thing here um what was I just going to
72:58 say we're also going to some Street where they sell a bunch of computer stuff or whatever oh yeah we're going to
73:03 we trying to go to a place called guango
73:07 Guang Mall um they have Guang um they have all
73:12 the PC stuff and in that area outside
73:15 the mall on the street there are all PCS um cameras technology stuff all the
73:21 stores yeah um and there's also another
73:25 place um it's called underground Street
73:29 Market um underneath of the Tay main
73:33 station they are all the gaming not PC
73:37 gaming like just console gaming and right right yeah animation a lot of
73:42 people gather their animation animation yeah oh wow the Japanese animation they
73:49 playplay yeah yeah yeah yeah people stay there gaming you can see people just sit
73:53 there a lot of people just playing
73:56 game yeah it's really cool anyways I
73:59 think that's it for the show because Dennis and I have to like pack and leave
74:03 to Taiwan like like very soon um plane
74:08 takes off in like eight hours or
74:12 something seven and a half seven hours seven and a half hours so we got to go
74:17 thanks for watching um and we'll see you
74:20 next time I'm going to actually remember to do this thing
74:45 scratchbook l.com
74:49 also I wanted to there we go uh there will very possibly be an Afterparty but
74:54 I have have to pack first so it won't be immediately I know that
75:00 much we have to leave like really soon
75:04 yeah yeah so if there is one it'll only
75:08 be for a very short period of time and I have to pack first we have to leave at
75:12 11: no we don't oh we have to leave earlier than that oh jeez okay anyways
75:17 bye
