0:00 the seven gamers one CPU system is back
0:03 from ces 2016 where kingston the proud sponsors of the original video which you
0:07 can check out here had it on display at their booth and of course i have wasted
0:12 no time creating the Linus media group lan center where
0:18 the seven gamers one CPU machine will be
0:21 powering seven high-powered gaming stations for the
0:25 pleasure of the employees here at Linus media group
0:28 so let's see if anyone wants to play some games shall we
0:41 whether you run a small business or a billion dollar enterprise rackspace has
0:45 your dedicated storage environments covered start a conversation with them
0:49 at the link in the video description hey it's johnny the network guy come on
0:53 in let's play some video games oh my god yes let's do it all right
0:56 john crysis 3. let's do it let's do it
1:00 who wants to play video games
1:06 i didn't ask you taryn but okay sure
1:09 uh no it's okay honey you don't have to
1:16 oh luke do you have time to play video games
1:20 oh wow um okay vaughn you're in
1:24 wow yep you're in let's go hey Colton got time to play some games yeah you're
1:29 fired because you should be busy but actually no we're gonna go play games
1:32 now okay
1:36 okay come on what are you guys waiting for let's go i'll show you to your stations
1:43 this is our new and improved board room no one will ever be bored in here again
1:50 okay so guys uh do not jump down the hole yet please so this is it this is
1:54 officially the first time the seven gamers one CPU rig has actually had
1:59 seven gamers sitting at it and i think the most notable thing about it probably
2:03 is the fact that you guys are each looking at an FPS number in the top
2:07 corner something in the neighborhood of 80 to 90 frames per second
2:11 so some quick napkin math would tell us that that is somewhere between 600 to
2:16 700 frames per second running at medium
2:20 settings high details in crisis 3 at
2:23 3440 by 1440 resolution it is actually
2:28 working but of course staring at a wall is not
2:32 the ultimate benchmark so i'd like you guys to all gather around i'm going to show you how
2:36 we benchmark crisis 3 at Linus tech tips and we are all going to try and do the
2:40 benchmark together i already fell down the hole yes that's
2:43 why i told you not to fall down the whole terran
2:46 yes i will help you in fact let's go do it on terran station since he has to go
2:50 back to the starting point anyway i'm jumping really really high is that
2:54 normal yes it's crisis you're wearing them oh for crying out loud Colton
3:02 no no it doesn't okay everyone come watch the benchmark run okay don't stare
3:06 into the hole just look at it then you're going to
3:10 press the apostrophe key boom that'll start the benchmark
3:14 and your FPS numbers will go away drop do not jump down the hole if you jump
3:18 down the hole you will die
3:22 nope nope because you will need bullets for when there are actual enemies
3:25 tearing that is how games work then you hold shift to leap across
3:30 and then you just kind of stand here and like shoot at stuff and it's done
3:34 everyone got that everyone ready to execute it perfectly on the first try
3:37 easy-peasy all right
3:42 okay ready and three two one benchmark
3:46 so left at the first fork there uh i i don't know if i'm at the first quarter
3:51 then you go right i don't see any forks i uh i i couldn't hit it and now i'm
3:55 dead that means you only have to get closer
4:00 open up file explorer we need file explorer you mean explorer
4:04 i mean file explorer go to the c drive
4:08 then perhaps how do you even use the computer then
4:12 benchmarks then open up the crisis 3 min
4:15 max average
4:23 competition john
4:28 you should see your GPU core clock uh what was it running at while we were
4:32 gaming 100 a gigahertz wait a thousand a
4:35 thousand one thousand gigahertz one thousand and it's still running at a
4:39 thousand thousand megahertz so zero throttling and what's your GPU
4:43 temperature while we were running the game 47 44 48 45 minus 45
4:49 48 very nice so our water cooling is holding up just fine with everyone in
4:53 the mid to high 40 degrees on the video card
4:58 very very cool so now let's fire the game back up
5:02 and you guys can just kind of uh mess around in game and we're going
5:07 to have a look at what our power consumption is like running seven
5:11 legitimate high-end games versus just some synthetic benchmarks like we did
5:15 last time oh what a dick where's me i'll kill you it's not a multiplayer game
5:20 we'll find a way can you guys be slightly more on earth
5:25 so power consumption is anywhere from around 1400 watts from the wall to up to
5:30 1600 watts from the wall
5:35 pretty bananas bananas
5:39 so this is interesting with every vm running we're pitting every CPU core
5:45 pretty much it looks like our CPU clock speed settles in around three gigahertz
5:49 which is actually still a fairly significant turbo up from the 2.6
5:54 gigahertz base clock more interesting facts
5:57 another really cool thing if you want to pop over to your graphics card tab here
6:01 is that when we originally ran this we were having some gpus show up as uh very
6:06 low link speeds even gen 1.1 speeds this
6:10 time around every single one is PCIe uh
6:13 gen 3 8x which is definitely more than
6:16 enough we actually reseeded the graphics cards and got some better stability that
6:20 way well how else is anybody up whoa i've got 200 frames per second everyone
6:24 else has steam accounts that's why i said guys log into your steam i don't
6:28 remember my password you're out there
6:34 who goes sniper when it's like three on three come on
6:38 wow can i jump in and point out that at about 200 to 250 FPS each we are
6:45 literally pushing over 1400 frames per second in team
6:50 fortress 2 right now we could all be on uh
7:11 oh somebody hit me with an axe okay actually it was a sword but i mean
7:15 you're dead so it doesn't really make much of a difference
7:18 at that point in time and it turned out to be taryn i got killed by taran oh my
7:22 god that's the ultimate install right here being a medic is easy
7:26 oh you're on fire someone's on fire come on
7:30 okay yeah whatever you were you're you're
7:33 dead you're done already you're done already i didn't want my
7:37 damaged sheep i don't even care i don't even have to be does anybody know how to
7:41 eat on fire right now you lay down crap no
7:44 oh wow weird no i tried to hold them i'm sorry
7:49 guys i wonder what's going on so there you have it we have officially
7:54 laid to rest the most common criticisms
7:58 of the seven gamers one CPU video first
8:01 of all that we didn't actually show
8:05 seven gamers gaming on it which has now been officially done and second that we
8:10 called it seven gamers one CPU which actually i'm going to continue to do in
8:14 spite of the fact that there are indeed two cpus in the system
8:19 so that was pretty fun guys a huge shout
8:23 out again to kingston unraid Intel ASUS
8:28 AMD ek water blocks case Labs oh sure
8:32 primo chill provided some tubing i hope i don't miss anyone
