so today I'm going to be having a look at a very unique product from EVGA this
0:04
is the EVGA GTX 275 Co-op but stay tuned there's more
0:11
physics okay so normally EVGA uses their Co-op branding to mean that there are
0:16
two gpus but unlike the last time with
0:19
the GTX 295 Co-op they are not the same
0:22
GPU this card besides including Batman
0:26
Arkham Asylum which is a very cool value ad because it's a pretty sweet game game
0:30
that I really enjoyed it has two completely different gpus on it it has
0:36
one GTX 275 okay and then it has one GTS
0:42
250 for physics so I'm not sure if you
0:46
can read that right there so it has a dedicated GTS 260 for physics support
0:52
that means the card in total has 1280
0:55
Megs of RAM on it which is a very strange amount but that's the 896
1:00
for the um for the GTX 275 and then the
1:03
rest of it is actually dedicated to the GTS 250 so let's see what we have inside
1:08
here in terms of accessories and whatnot so I'm just going to aim the camera down
1:13
kind of like so so you can sort of see what's going on here okay first thing
1:16
we've got is a oh wow I'm not going to show you guys that is a graphics card
1:21
installation guide so that should be a guide on how to install your graphics
1:24
card it explains PCI Express versus AGP
1:28
how to install your driver d
1:31
okay thank you oh oh actually no I saw something in there that was relevant
1:35
where is it ah right nope no not
1:38
relevant never mind okay then we have the quick start guide for the GeForce
1:42
GTX 275 Co-op physics I'm guessing they
1:45
are going to explain to you insert the
1:49
graphics card in a PCI if you're only installing one
1:52
GeForce no no there's not really a whole lot going on there either okay next is
1:56
the driver installation CD don't use that throw it away download the latest
1:59
off NVIDIA.com okay this is the Batman
2:02
Arkham Asylum coupon code do not try and read the code I covered it up this time
2:07
that's right someone got my code for uh Everquest 2 off one of my other
2:11
unboxings the killer Zeno Pro but not this time okay so in terms of
2:17
accessories in here we got their little spiff pass through cable ground and
2:21
spiff those are the two connectors that are on it you can't really read that
2:25
that's okay then we have a PCI Express
2:28
ah we have two PCI Express six pin to one PCI Express 8 Pin
2:33
adapter then we have a two MOX to one
2:37
PCI Express six pin adapter we've got a
2:41
DVI to VGA adapter we have a sticker to
2:46
uh case adapter a sticker okay then we
2:50
have a DVI to HDMI adapter that pretty
2:54
much does it in terms of accessories then we have a cool little EVGA cutout
2:58
thing it's like the shape of a card I really like this I don't know why and
3:01
then we have the card itself this is a big card actually I was not really
3:06
expecting this and I can't explain why because I should have expected it
3:10
because this card has two gpus on it so
3:14
it's not exactly Ro rocket science that it would be a little bit on the big side
3:18
okay so wow that is a heck of a fan so
3:22
why don't we start with the wow where do
3:25
you start on a card like this okay why don't we start on the front that is The
3:30
Joker okay and that is a padded wall
3:33
that the Joker presumably resides inside this is about an 80 mil looking fan that
3:38
has a very aggressive shape to the blades here so you can see that it's
3:42
designed for static pressure they're really going to work hard to push air
3:46
through those fins inside there I'm not really sure if you're going to be able to see that but H that's okay yeah there
3:51
you go you can kind of see through the fins there and then there is also a fin
3:55
structure on the other side for the other V GPU which you are not going to
3:59
be able to see through for sure because it lines up with these slots and it's just one more obstruction okay so up at
4:05
the top we have two SLI connectors so that means you can run it with another
4:09
275 in SLI and then use your dedicated GTS 250 for physics presumably if
4:14
someone corrects me then I will be wrong and they will be right okay up at the
4:18
top it's got our little branding sticker here with your GTX 275 Coop physics you
4:23
got one8 pin and one six pin power connector so that is more than a normal
4:28
275 would have on the back you can
4:31
clearly see where the two gpus are located there is one right oh where are
4:36
they it looks like there's one right here and one right here and this one has
4:41
a heat pipe coming off of it so I'm going to guess that's the 275 and this
4:45
one I'm kind of guessing there's one based on all the traces that are there
4:48
and based on the fact that I can kind of see it here would be the 250 this is
4:53
presumably covering some memory for the 250 but I'm I'm again totally guessing
4:57
here let's have a look at the back where we have two DV
5:00
uh connectors and then we have a slot for the uh case air to be exhausted out
5:05
once it's cooled off the GPU at the back this is a standard PCI Express 16x slot
5:10
so you don't need any kind of special SLI motherboard or any kind of special
5:15
features in your computer other than a PCI Express 16x slot in order to support
5:20
this card at the back here you can see more cooling fins oh that would have
5:24
been a way better way to show you that so you can see right through the card there and that is where the cooling air
5:29
from this GPU is going to go now I'm going to assume there's some kind of
5:33
heat pipe it's really hard to sort of see anything on this card because it shrouded so well but I think that pretty
5:38
much concludes it the main point is that Batman Arkham Asylum the game that comes
5:42
with it takes advantage of physics really well I've actually got a couple
5:45
GTX 260s in my own PC and using the
5:48
physics versus not using physics made a huge difference to my game performance
5:52
thank you for checking out my unboxing and first look at the GTX 275 Co-op
