0:00 our computex coverage here in 2017 is brought to you by the Corsair 1 gaming
0:04 PC and Synergy check them out at the
0:07 link in the video description you guys aren't going to believe this we are in
0:11 the back room we are getting an early Hands-On to give you some idea how fresh
0:17 this product is this is not even a real box for it look it's like I don't even
0:21 know what this says but like it probably says like top secret or something
0:25 like that because inside here we have ASUS's new fled ship AMD motherboard one
0:32 that is for a socket that quite frankly
0:36 is probably still quite a ways out from being something you can actually buy
0:41 this right here is the Zenith extreme
0:45 you'll have to give me a minute I've got my uh 24 pin connector all ready to go
0:49 so I can get all the RGB lighting illuminated this is going to be for
0:54 AMD's upcoming well rumored thread
0:57 Ripper product so that's going to be again and rumored
1:01 124 or 16 core CPUs in a very high-end
1:06 Enthusiast SL workstation type platform
1:09 and this board has all kinds of features
1:12 some of which we've seen before and some of which we haven't so at its heart
1:17 we've got their brand new socket TR4 this is an LGA socket the first time
1:24 for AMD on the consumer I mean if you want to call it consumer but on the
1:28 consumer side of things it has 4,094
1:32 pins and you need a freaking screwdriver
1:35 to open up the cover and when we do that we see why this thing looks
1:39 extraordinarily fragile and has a configuration that I've never really
1:43 seen before it almost looks like it's two CPUs being installed in a single
1:48 socket which when you think about the fact that these things are going to have
1:51 64 PCI Express Lanes hm might give you
1:55 some hints as to how exactly it is that AMD is building up this sort of modular
2:01 Zen architecture CPU here looking pretty bananas it supports quad Channel memory
2:06 and oh hold on a minute what the actual hell is that this is what ASUS is
2:10 calling a dim. two slot now we've seen
2:13 m.2 ssds before in fact it's got one
2:17 under the chipset cooler right down here
2:20 but this is the new way so ASUS is building custom memory module looking
2:24 things they're still running off PCI Express so it's not like a a memory SSD
2:29 ope thing or anything like that but you can put two on here for better cooling
2:34 without having your SSD sticking out of the middle of the board it's running an
2:39 x399 chipset another obvious move from
2:42 AMD to make their board sound kind of like the Intel one but like better we're
2:47 going all the way back to the Athlon XP performance rating days apparently it's
2:52 got two 8 Pin power connectors which
2:56 again adds uh some more credibility to my theory about it basically being two
3:00 CPUs in there and it's got this is crazy
3:04 we've got 802.11 a Wi-Fi so that's like
3:08 multi- gigabit Wi-Fi on this thing it's going to come with a 10 gbit network
3:12 card it's got freaking lights to tell you which uh audio port you're plugging
3:16 in from the back and it's SLI certified
3:19 it's I mean what else can we say about this other than that you're going to
3:23 have to sell your car if you want to own one I'm estimating no one here will
3:28 confirm or deny but thing is going to probably cost in the $599 US range plus
3:35 the fact that you're going to be spending like a th000 bucks plus on a
3:39 CPU to go in it but at least hey you get
3:43 an RGB back plate right so thanks for
3:46 watching guys our computex coverage is brought to you by the Corsair 1 the 12 L
3:50 gaming PC that looks great and runs quiet we've actually reviewed it before
3:54 so we don't have to tell you guys how great it is and buy Synergy which allows
3:58 you to use multiple PCS be they PC Mac
4:02 Linux whatever you want with a single keyboard and mouse absolutely seamlessly
4:06 so check them out and save 25% on Synergy at the link in the video
