0:01 all right I just need to make sure that we're actually
0:05 live and we are okay so we have a great
0:09 show for you guys this week as you can see small lonus is not here but large
0:14 Linus is here so with large Lin is here
0:18 we thought we' just go ahead with the show I know the framing is a little weird and stuff but we thought we'd try
0:21 it out and see what you guys think so as you guys know this is Jerry Berg or
0:25 Barnacles and we have him on the show this week uh where can people find you
0:29 how can people see your stuff the easiest way to see my stuff would be
0:32 just to go to Barn nerd.com you know the barn like where they keep the cows and
0:36 the Nerds like where they keep the well the nerd.com that's where I'm at perfect
0:40 so you guys can see him there and for the show this week we have a few
0:44 different topics I'm actually going to let you start them off this
0:47 time really beautiful for real oh my
0:51 gosh oh my gosh I do I really have to
0:55 start with fractal Josh is awesome though do I really yes you do well no we
0:58 got to go through the call outs again oh the call outs do the calls then we're gonna do fractal Jos all right so I get
1:03 to start the call outs this time yep yay all right guys we got a mass Exodus of
1:08 Xbox exclusives yeah I care about that a whole lot okay uh GameStop fingerprints
1:14 customers actually that's that's sucks all right kind of sketchy as hell but
1:19 and then FX is being disabled when there's a second GPU in the system which
1:22 is not NVIDIA that later and the most important
1:27 news of the week at all definitely is that Yoshi's full name has been revealed
1:32 so we will talk about that later as well let's do the
1:58 intro all right so our first sponsor of this week is linda.com you can sign up
2:02 with linda.com Wow for a free 7-Day trial they have thousands and tons of
2:09 freaking courses and they're adding new ones every single week plan started

2:20 shirt today and if you sign up you get a
2:25 well we're giving doing a giveaway actually where if you like this picture
2:28 which I'll drop in the chat here in one second um that second is going to be
2:33 delayed I'll drop the chat in there in like 30 seconds if you follow 54 on
2:37 Twitter and if you comment with hash Linus style tips we will announce a
2:42 winner on Monday on 54s page for who
2:45 wins a free month of 54 I believe it is about $120 worth of clothing each month
2:50 for 60 bucks and if you sign up right now you get $15 off your first month
2:54 with offer code lonus again I'll be dropping that uh Instagram picture link
2:59 in the chat in a second now our first
3:03 topic which you already spoiled slightly
3:06 is that fractal Josh is freaking amazing so I want to show this but my HDMI setup
3:13 is not really working great spoiler alert nothing really got that much
3:16 better when lus left um let's see here let's see if this
3:21 actually works because fractal Josh made
3:24 probably the greatest shirt that exists in the entire universe and he's going to
3:27 be sending me one which I'm pretty stoked about um but he's going to
3:32 sending it to my personal address so that when lonus sees it he doesn't burn it because that's a legitimate worry for
3:38 this so let's see if this actually totally breaks oh it did too I don't
3:43 even know if this is plugged in oh that
3:47 sucks I'll bring it up over here give me one
3:53 second oh my God I can't wait I can't
3:56 wait come on it's going to take a second oh come on
4:01 God now guys I can see it you guys can't see so I'm I'm just saying privy privy
4:06 to certain knowledge here apparently so that is the shirt as you can see it's
4:10 kind of small but as you can see there's fractal Josh in the middle fist bumping
4:15 me and throwing a pie in Linus's face
4:19 just great I love this shirt and like I said he's going to be sending me one so
4:23 it will be featured on a w show sometime in the future thank you Josh for making
4:27 such a beautiful artistic creation
4:30 and we hope to see more in the future and it even looks authentic that's
4:34 what's so beautiful it does it actually took me a second he sent me the Tweet
4:38 saying like oh do you like the shirt and I was like yeah man you got one of our
4:41 shirts that's cool I was like wait there's a third guy in the middle what's
4:44 going on here that's the problem with going with those eight bit Graphics they're they're easy to replicate they
4:49 are give me a second I'm trying to figure out it was just working come on
4:53 HDMI cable usually when lonus is gone
4:56 everything works so I have a feeling that he sabotaged something have you
5:00 ever seen one of my streams this is this is part for the course like me just
5:03 being here probably just screwed up everything okay so that's not working at
5:08 all so I'm going to have to I can't do some ring we'll figure this out so first
5:12 thing we have is the USB bug thing now
5:16 this is interesting and I'm happy that they actually happy that they actually
5:19 properly like researched it and stuff but it's not really anything new we've
5:24 known this for a really long time so what I'm talking about is two Berlin
5:28 researchers named AR NL and Jacob L I
5:32 hope I didn't totally butcher that U but they have demonstrated how any USB
5:35 device could be used to infect a computer by faking the device type it is
5:40 so telling it it's something else or having little partitions on there that
5:44 you can't properly format and just infecting computers all over the place
5:48 again it's a fairly interesting study but like I've known this since I was in
5:52 like grade 10 maybe even before that
5:55 yeah don't plug unknown stuff into your computer I mean come on it's it's a very
5:58 well-known thing like anyone who's been around for a while probably knows what
6:02 hacks are switchblade the USB hacks that people can get that just totally wreck
6:06 you um look at that that's you 3D
6:10 printed that right yeah and and this one right here is a hack and this one no I'm
6:15 just kidding I don't I I don't do that guys I'm Legit come on I don't know if I
6:18 believe you I don't want hacks St people I have a little red painted USB drive
6:22 that is like a don't plug this into your computer USB drive you know what I like
6:26 is all the people that been have you seen the people take the Matchbox cars and Hollow them out and put the USB
6:30 dongle in there so it's just it's like a full-blown Matchbox card with just the USB port sticking back it's it's pretty
6:35 cool I'm going to try doing that some point that's actually pretty cool so don't plug delicious crap into your
6:38 computer guys just don't yeah seriously um what what you can do to help this is
6:43 get the USB umbrella kind of thing I'm hoping to get a sample from these guys
6:48 to actually try it out myself but essentially what they've done is made a
6:52 USB pass through plug that just cuts off all the data Lanes on the USB so it
6:56 still lets power flow but it just doesn't have the runs for data so it
7:00 can't actually transfer any data they're usually unless they're trying to give
7:04 you data off a USB device if someone trying to plug their phone or something into your computer they should only be
7:08 getting power anyways yeah actually
7:11 that's an interesting invention actually yeah it is and it makes sense I'm
7:16 actually kind of surprised that no one thought about it beforehand because we've done this type of stuff in other
7:20 applications yeah and you can see it when like people get like the like
7:23 slightly cheaper DVI cables as well like certain runs aren't there it's like this
7:27 is a thing so someone actually decided to do with with USB so it's kind of cool
7:30 you can use it yourself if you want to plug something of yours into someone
7:33 else's say you want to charge your phone in someone else's computer and you don't want to grab an infection from their
7:38 computer to your phone you can use it in that way or you can use it defensively
7:42 so if someone wants to plug something into your phone or your computer even if
7:45 you trust them they might have a virus from someone else on their pH that's
7:49 true so just maybe I don't know I'm going to try and pick up some of these
7:52 USB umbrella things and try them out in the future I love that kind of stuff and
7:57 you know what's going to piss you off though like when you keep forgetting to unplug it and then you plug something in
8:01 the back of it you're like why isn't it f in my device why working it's
8:05 ridiculous it's fairly large like it's not the smallest thing ever I think they
8:09 could have made it smaller I'm not sure though it is like version one or
8:12 whatever so I think you'd probably know and like knowing me I'd probably just
8:16 get like six and put them all over the place and like keep one in my backpack
8:21 and like keep one in but with whatever laptop I have at the time and all that kind of stuff I don't know that's cool
8:26 so that's a fairly interesting thing but then we jump
8:30 to something kind of horrible in my opinion which is the GameStop
8:33 fingerprinting thing did you have time to read this I I didn't read through it
8:38 but I think the title pretty much explains that this is ridiculous I mean
8:42 I'm guessing when you purchase things they're basically storing your fingerprint like a banquet if you're
8:45 cashing a check luckily it's not just purchasing things what they're what
8:49 they're actually doing is when you're selling things cuz the their idea they
8:52 did this voluntarily they were not forced to do this apparently the law
8:56 enforcement agency asked them to but the
8:59 Philadelphia where it is being done is in Philadelphia city not the suburbs
9:03 around it but just in the city the Philadelphia city solicitor Shelby Smith
9:07 saids specifically what GameStop does doesn't meet any of the elements of the
9:12 definition in the code for like pawn shops um so the pawn breaker ordinance
9:17 doesn't apply to GameStop she said essentially GameStop is not required to
9:21 collect the thumbprints uh to abide by the city's pawn broker law so they do
9:25 have a law where if you're a pawn shop you're supposed to take people's
9:28 fingerprints when they sell stuff to you so that they can the idea behind this is
9:32 so that if you sell them stolen goods you're right they can find you that kind
9:37 of maybe make sense personally I'm still not a huge fan because of invasion of
9:40 privacy and whatnot uh maybe find some other way to find them like take their
9:44 ID down or something like that like ID them to make sure it's the same person
9:48 and then take their ID down I don't think you need to fingerprint everyone that freaking sells you something beses
9:53 whatever whose fingerprints are in the system I mean yeah okay if you're
9:56 already a past criminal but if it's your first offense yeah good luck finding them that's part of the idea the
10:00 Philadelphia Police Department um says that GameStop is being proactive by
10:05 obtaining the fingerprints and uploading them to a database known as leads online
10:10 which they are then compared against criminal databases that makes yeah
10:14 you're not being put into a criminal database uh so the idea is later on down
10:18 the road when you commit a crime then all of a sudden they come in they go yeah you were jaywalking but you also
10:22 sold like 40 games to GameStop that you didn't own so I'm sorry your sentence is
10:26 now life yeah I don't know it's kind
10:29 fastic I'm not a huge fan but I just everything lately just seems like
10:34 horrible horrible news and all the tin Hatters that everyone used to laugh at
10:38 are now like in public view so
10:41 everything that comes out like this just scares me so well I remember banks used
10:44 to do that like where you'd go in if you had a large check you had to do the fingerprint I hated that stuff yeah had
10:49 to rub it off and it would like turn to like uh like little crusty stuff and get
10:53 all over your clothing everything I was like no I don't want to do this yeah um
10:57 GameStop has quoted that at this time reviewing the process to determine if it
11:01 is one which should be continued in Philadelphia and they're not doing it
11:05 anywhere outside of just like the downtown Philadelphia core so hope they
11:10 just stop what if you're like under 18 though or something like that can they
11:14 legally even fingerprint you at that point or I don't know because that's
11:17 like American that's American law not Canadian law but there's is that a thing
11:21 cuz I know here they they do like we're going on a field trip to the police
11:25 station and then they they uh fingerprint you when you're kids
11:28 actually they do that down here too yeah that's so bull crap I just know we have
11:32 weird laws down here like I know you're not allowed like you're not allowed to the city Camp photograph children like
11:36 in Washington state they put up all these like radar traps to take pictures of your car and like people were
11:41 fighting back under the pretense that you're taking pictures of our children like sitting in the passenger seat or
11:45 something they actually won so they're like apparently you can't take pictures
11:48 of people's kids like it it's weird we have weird laws man I'm moving to
11:52 Canada that's nuts give me one second people are saying that I'm quiet for
11:57 some reason I'm not sure why especially when
12:02 everyone in the uh test stream said it
12:05 was totally fine but we will see give me
12:08 one quick sec is it multiple people complaining well it's twitch chat
12:13 spamming so it could be one person it could be 30 people it could be a whole
12:17 bunch of people just spamming for fun I'm not even really sure but that might
12:21 fix it so we will have to see we'll wait
12:25 for twitch chat to be able to catch up um yeah I un at the stream you are a
12:30 little quiet but it's not horrible well the mic's a lot closer now
12:34 and in my own monitoring I can tell that I'm a fair amount louder now so we'll
12:38 have to see hopefully that works just fine
12:42 sweet okay so next up is twitch.tv changes which has had everyone kind of
12:47 freaking out lately but they've been reeling back like this whole time
12:51 they're obviously an extremely agile company um so they've implemented a few
12:56 things their automatic system muting uh video on demand videos for having
13:00 copyright audio um is is doing that but now
13:05 there's an appeal button so you can press the appeal button to try to get
13:09 your video unmuted which is interesting that appeal button wasn't there right
13:12 off the start um the maximum time limit
13:16 on Highlights has now been removed but you can't have just everything that
13:21 you've recorded forever always saved which is interesting because if someone
13:25 just goes like highlight entire video I wonder if that's possible POS yeah what
13:30 about people that have so much stuff already recorded and uploaded that's going to affect them pretty adversely
13:35 probably and because I I do know for a fact that people go back and watch
13:38 different episodes I know that my like 24-hour charity stream actually got a
13:42 lot of uh VOD views yep so I don't know
13:46 it's going to be interesting I'm going to try to highlight out most of the cool parts of the 24-hour stream
13:51 um yeah I don't know this is what this
13:54 is what happens when Google and Google buys YouTube and then buys twitch
13:59 is is we're going to see lots of really costome changes like I bet you every day
14:02 we log into twitch now there's going to be like new buttons we've never seen before and the
14:07 layout one you Ty oh my god dude you see
14:12 it's coming mark my words it's coming oh my God ridiculous so the uh twitch CEO
14:17 EMT Shear had a Reddit AMA where he said a whole bunch of stuff but essentially
14:22 one of the big things in my opinion is that he said we did need to change
14:25 things this is laying groundwork for some work in the future you are really
14:29 going to like we've been intending to do this for some time but it took us a
14:33 while to identify and select a Content identification partner to get this
14:37 system up and reliable so the whole thing of like things you guys are really
14:41 going to like I have a weird theory that I don't I haven't yet seen anyone else
14:46 say it but I wouldn't be surprised if someone else said it let's hear this Theory I'm I'm wondering if they're
14:50 going to have their own music streaming like approved music streaming thing like
14:55 these are the amount of songs that you're allowed to play and what songs they are and you can play them using our
15:00 tool well they kind of did the same thing for YouTube didn't they like YouTube had an audio library pop up that
15:05 was like openly available to everybody I think so but then twitch is YouTube is
15:10 used for music but directly from a lot of the music's Publishers whether it's
15:15 like Vivo or the artists themselves or
15:18 the like record label or whatever uh YouTube is done widely for that but
15:23 twitch is done in the background while someone is playing something so I'm
15:27 wonder if they're going to try and contact different record labels and stuff and see if they can get approved
15:33 music they they might do that they might even do like some kind of uh ad based
15:37 thing too where if they detect music on your thing they'll just run ads for that
15:40 you know that could be benef I'd rather that because I make no freaking ad Revenue off my twitch Channel anyways so
15:45 just let me play music and take all the revenue that's fine I don't care yeah
15:49 because if somebody's listening the song they're going to be the most likely to to give you an impression I mean they're
15:53 gonna be like oh man it's a cool song I'm going to click that link it'd be beneficial to them they should do that
15:57 it makes way more sense but then again we're smart people I
16:00 don't I don't know about them Google guys sometimes with their whole just throwing their money around trying to
16:04 make Google+ win I I I don't get it the whole goog plus win thing I don't really
16:09 understand but I don't think I'm going to throw Google under the bus because I think like half the wit of someone's dog
16:14 that works at Google is probably higher than me I'm I'm actually just playing
16:17 around Google if I went back to the it field Google would be the first company
16:20 I went and actually worked for that would be Beast man they're they're
16:23 pretty they're pretty stand up I've actually talked to a lot of people at Google they're they're pretty cool yeah
16:28 they just with YouTube stop it okay
16:31 sorry I had to get that rant out of the way I kind of agree so it's no big deal
16:34 uh another thing that he talked about is how there's there's a lot of agreements
16:37 for different game companies so they won't try to get you in trouble if you're playing games on Twitch but those
16:42 agreements don't exist for music so people that are like oh it's our right
16:46 to do this it's I also heard a rumor I don't know
16:50 if you know is this true that you can still play the music on your stream
16:53 it'll just be muted in the recording or is it muted immediately when I think
16:56 that's how it works but I I think that's not supposed to be the idea like I think
17:00 you're supposed to stop I just don't think they're muting live streams I
17:04 think you might be able to get in trouble now I'm not really sure and if
17:08 it's not like that already I'm sure they're going to move in that direction I saw some funny streams the other day
17:12 when I was looking around on there though with like titles like playing copyright music all day all night like
17:18 and and that's that's how I found out about this was was originally all these people just kind of you know spiting him
17:22 so I was like right I don't it's not it's not twitch's fault though it's not
17:27 they're they're getting legal hammer is thrown onto their heads and they're just
17:30 reacting because of it that's not surprising they're going to have to
17:33 react in some way just allowing everyone
17:36 of their mom to broadcast music for free
17:40 yeah well that's the problem is when you're when you're a small company you
17:43 can take the liability right I mean chances are they're not going to sue you unless they can make you know a massive
17:47 amount of money but look who owns them now right yeah I mean there's big
17:50 Pockets now behind twitch all of a sudden so they have to protect themselves uh someone in the chat said
17:55 it's only for vods but it's for 30 minute segments so if they detect music
18:00 or whatever they'll mute you for 30 minutes which is interesting so right
18:04 now um I guess it's fine if you play it
18:09 in your live stream so everybody increase your music to 1.2x speed when
18:13 you're playing it in the background and just fudge their whole
18:16 algorithm that would be really interesting I wonder if you'd get in
18:19 trouble for that but it would be really interesting to see like attempting to break twitch algorithm plenty of
18:24 different like speeds like mixing music play two songs at the same time or
18:28 something yeah I'd be curious to see what could defeat that
18:31 algorithm someone should do it just try not to get banned maybe create like a
18:35 second account that you don't use that yeah Luke and I don't don't condone that
18:38 we we actually didn't say anything this part of the stream is going to be muted
18:42 in the VOD yep so don't worry about it muted
18:48 us that would be great they have The Descent algorithm they're like we have
18:51 detected descent within the twitch Network we must be let's get the NSA on this all right
18:57 so next up we have the IBM brain-like chip which kind of blew my mind get it
19:02 pun when I first read about it it has 1 million programmable neurons 256 million
19:07 programmable synapses across 4,096 individual NE neurosynaptic cores
19:13 with 4 5.4 billion
19:17 transistors G this thing is a neuromorphic brain-like computer chip
19:22 called True North which is built on top of Samsung's 28 nanom process it
19:26 consumes just 72 M at at Max load and is
19:31 176,000 times more efficient than a modern CPU running the same brain like
19:36 workload so not doing just anything but running a brain likee workload whatever
19:41 the crap that is um kind of cool uh they're talking
19:46 about how it's the second generation version of one which was a prototype in
19:52 2011 and it's pretty much ready to go for commercial application but I don't
19:57 know where it's actually going to be use for commercial application I see this
20:00 more going to like research Labs than this would definitely be probably in the
20:04 research space definitely because I don't know how many people need those
20:07 like brain like applications at least
20:10 yet I'm sure this will be in consumer devices in x amount of years but even
20:14 though they say it's ready now I pretty much only see it yeah your future
20:19 iPhone's going to be back talking you guys so you're GNA be like I don't feel
20:23 like it yeah hey you didn't take me out
20:26 for ice cream yeah exactly oh my
20:30 God I'd imagine a CPU like this though I mean this isn't designed for just
20:33 running straight up binary operations this is this is like multiple States so
20:38 yeah so you'd have to write custom software custom compiler all that stuff
20:41 so I'd be curious to see what they ultimately use that for but the power
20:45 consumption kind of blows my mind I'm like why can they build something like this that consumes so little power yet a
20:50 conventional CPU still can like heat your coffee I I think it's because
20:53 they're so drastically different it doesn't have to be able to do all the
20:57 different things that a CPU can do too um and even though they say it's like
21:02 brain like processes how brain like
21:05 actually is it I when the last time you tried to calculate piie out to like the
21:09 four millionth Place how long did it take you to do it because the computer can do it in like three seconds yeah so
21:13 like maybe this thing's a lot more efficient at doing brain-like things because the CPU is actually faster and
21:18 can't do it brain like they probably just call it brain like because dumb
21:21 just wouldn't sell chips
21:24 chip it is incredibly not as good so
21:28 much more efficient at being bad yeah that's marketing for you yeah
21:34 exactly our next gen product which is incredibly much better at being last gen
21:39 than the next gen products of its competition um so a uh news that's
21:45 probably super close to your heart is Xbox One lost Microsoft 400 million in
21:50 Gross margins last year so they didn't just go down um it increased by $1.7
21:57 billion their overall Revenue but it
22:00 also cost them $2.1 billion to get there
22:04 which net a $400 million loss so it's
22:08 it's not that surprising it's kind of to be expected with these massive launches
22:13 especially when it didn't sell quite as well as they expected they have to do
22:16 stuff like marketing R&D distribution all that crap and they have to pre-make
22:20 all these machines so they might even still have backstock of all this kind of stuff and yeah I don't know I look like
22:27 I remember back when they made the Xbox Box 360 I mean they were paying uh uh
22:30 two and a half times the cost of the system to produce each one so they were
22:34 losing money hand over fist yep and I'd imagine in this situation it's probably
22:37 not as bad I'd hope they'd learn from their mistake but still in the beginning you're going to take a huge hit right
22:43 yeah I've heard it's not nearly as bad and U I know PlayStation PlayStation 3
22:48 and Xbox 360 they were both losing money when you bought just the core system if
22:52 you bought like a controller in the same basket then they made money or whatever
22:56 I can't remember what the exact breakdown was but with Xbox One and PS4
23:01 they were making money even on just the core system so it's changed a bit do you
23:05 remember on PS3 when they were selling people were buying them just as Blu-ray players yeah and they were losing money
23:10 like crazy cuz just a factory run-of-the-mill blue uh Blu-ray player
23:13 at the time was like $100 more expensive than buying the console that did the
23:17 better job and I know that that hurt them really bad in the beginning too but
23:20 honestly I think the whole console thing I I love consoles but I think they just
23:24 waited too long I think 10 years and then coming out with the other console it's like everybody's kind of moved on
23:28 to other things Mobile gaming desktop gaming I think it's just it's kind of
23:32 killing that market down a little bit and I think they did it like too little
23:36 too late is probably the perfect that's I think that's the first time I've ever
23:39 used that perfectly is cuz it wasn't nearly strong enough and it was way too
23:45 late if they released this console a few years ago maybe well I remember when the
23:50 PS3 came out it was like so beyond any generation of computer they were the
23:54 people were actually taking that cell processor dropping Linux disos on it
23:57 using it for processing cu no conventional computer could do it yeah
24:01 and now you've got the Xbox one which pretty much has like 2-year-old you know
24:04 Hardware in it I mean so so I mean there's like really other than playing
24:08 games on it I guess there's no reason to go like you know try to find a cure for
24:11 cancer with it or something but I can't remember if it was the Navy or the army
24:15 or the Air Force or whatever but some military cell in the States was using uh
24:20 Playstation 3 clusters as servers oh a
24:23 lot of people were doing that uh the leading project on so remember the seti
24:26 at home the search for extra yeah there was like some the the top
24:30 ranking one in that list for like a year was just a bank of PS3s they were so
24:34 damn good at running those floating Point numbers with that cell processor it was awesome that's pretty crazy
24:39 they've kind of abandoned that though and tried to be computers which they're
24:42 not good at doing because straight up normal computers are much better at that
24:46 speaking of which uh there's been kind of a mass Exodus I guess Mass Exodus
24:51 isn't as great anymore now that Halo isn't in this um but there's been an
24:55 exodus of PC of uh sorry Xbox won
24:58 exclusive titles which have now gone to PC so we saw Dead Rising 3 not that long
25:04 ago and now rise has been announced rise is going to be coming uh with with
25:08 support for 4K resolution and it's also going to have uh downloadable extras
25:13 from the console game so it's going to have some nice little features for the
25:17 PC that the console one didn't have kind of unlike dead risings which was
25:22 slightly not the most graceful leap over to uh PC then everyone was super stoked
25:28 including myself I even went and like happily told my dad about this and then
25:32 was super sad when it didn't happen but the uh Halo Master Chief collector
25:36 edition for PC is apparently not coming to PC yeah so it it was posted on Amazon
25:44 as you probably know and I was incredibly I even tried to like
25:48 pre-order it and was like did they even make a mouse I thought they were selling a mouse that was themed after they've
25:53 got a mouse that's themed after it but that's apparently unrelated uh Aaron
25:57 green has tweeted that it was an error
26:00 at retail and he's apologizing for the confusion that it's caused but I'm still
26:05 going to hold off because I'm still not sure I'm still willing to to just hunker
26:11 down and believe and I'm going to wait for Gamescom and uh PX Prime I love Halo
26:17 honestly out of all the titles you mentioned that's the only one I really cared about coming to PC I would love to
26:21 do multiplayer Halo agree I I'm I'll maybe I'll pick up Ryzen like two
26:25 summer sales from now when it's $5 and
26:29 I'm not really that interested in picking up Dead Rising cuz who the hell
26:32 cares um but Halo being able to play
26:35 Halo 2 online again a as you can tell I love Halo I 3D
26:40 printed the freaking whole helmet I got my little action figures dude I love me
26:43 some Halo that's epic uh so yeah I I
26:47 it's it's happened before that's the thing the Amazon UK site has leaked
26:51 quite a few different games by posting them early so I'm wondering I'm I'm
26:55 going to go with this actually just because I want it to happen so badly
26:59 there's no real reason for me to believe this at all but I'm just going to go
27:02 with it anyways Theory yeah exactly um I I want
27:06 to believe that that tweet is just to throw people off it's just a cover up I
27:11 think it's with it's just a cover up because maybe they're trying to get
27:14 people to settle down for a little bit so they can explode again with Gamescom
27:17 or PAX Prime please make that be the truth and
27:21 if it's not just make the damn thing I don't care just bring it to PC just copy
27:26 the last one port it to p put a new number on it whatever just give it to us
27:30 Halo's already been on PC before just bring it back again I will still playing
27:35 it today they are and do you remember do you remember what happened with Halo 2
27:39 when they were shutting down the online servers all the people that refused to
27:42 disconnect oh really yeah oh my God okay
27:46 so they couldn't shut down the servers until everyone disconnected for some reason and there were people that stayed
27:51 in a game Lobby that would just keep recreating all I think was it one map or
27:55 recreating Maps I don't remember but they just stayed in a game and refused
27:58 to quit and people were like donating them money to buy fans and AC units and
28:03 stuff to try and keep their Xboxes running and they stayed in that game I
28:07 don't remember for how long but I think it was like a week or two or something and they just kept it going so they
28:11 couldn't shut down the servers and then eventually like people were falling off
28:15 because of uh like uh console failure
28:18 overheat Red Ring whatnot and then finally it came down to one person and
28:22 he he or she lasted for a little while and then it finally died out people
28:26 liked Halo 2 online I really like taor 2
28:29 online it's the only console game that I've gotten into like really heavily no
28:33 I was I I love it as far as console that's that's probably the one game that
28:37 I love playing on console and on PC like the same like I love just sitting down
28:41 and playing it on Console but it's funny because this is probably the one time Microsoft was actually thankful that all
28:45 the consoles were dying yeah exactly
28:48 don't worry we ran the statistics they can only run the Xbox for 43.2 hours but
28:52 red rings it will Red Ring lonus go back and take care of your baby get out of
28:57 the chat oh is he here he's in the chat what a nerd just ignore just right
29:02 click and ignore him like just get him out of here large lonus is here today
29:06 lius needs to take care of his spawn go take care of your spawn
29:11 lius um yeah so like I said there was
29:14 the uh there was the mouse which had a lot of people thinking that the uh Halo
29:19 Master Chiefs collection was already coming to PC just the mouse made people
29:22 think that and then when there was the so and so false posting on Amazon it
29:25 made people think that even more so I don't know hopefully it happens but
29:29 there's less than no guarantee at this point so I'm with you though I'm holding
29:33 on to the conspiracy me too it's not even that far away so I won't even feel
29:37 that bad if it doesn't come true because uh Gamescom and packs are both within
29:41 like a month so hey should we just should we just halflife three this thing and just encourage everybody to go
29:45 create the confirmed memes for it we're going to half lifee three but later on in the show okay good that'll happen
29:50 trust me okay did you read this topic this is this seems right up your alley
29:54 the cat caller that searches for vulnerable Wi-Fi hotspots no did have
29:59 you do you know what war driving is I'm assuming you know oh dude I used to war
30:02 drive as a matter of can I just tell you just a really quick story at one point I
30:05 had a car PC I built a completely custom part car PC all post pictures I even
30:09 fiberglass screen in the dashboard ran Windows XP had a drawer in the in the
30:13 trunk everything anyways I had a USB wireless access point that went up that
30:17 was on the rear deck and at one point between Microsoft and my house I was
30:21 able to set up a route where I could jump from one Wi-Fi to another between
30:25 two access points and seamlessly maintain my internet connection all the way home so I could stream like YouTube
30:30 music on Pandora everything with no cellular signal all the way from the
30:33 time I left the parking lot time I pulled into my driveway super beast I
30:37 may or may not have done that when I used to work somewhere and I did it my
30:41 drive between home and there as well uh but yeah that's called War driving so
30:45 essentially you you you used to drive through an area um bike car whatever and
30:51 have your laptop pick up vulnerable or completely unencrypted wireless networks
30:56 so you can create this like map of insecure unsecure wireless networks that
31:01 you can connect to along your way to whatever route or just gathering
31:04 information on a whole bunch of potentially vulnerable points so someone
31:08 has taken that idea and adapted it to a
31:11 cat so he has outfitted his cat Coco
31:15 with a specially made collar built from a Wi-Fi card a GPS module a battery and
31:20 a spark C ship the device runs custom
31:24 software that looks for Wi-Fi signals like we were just saying and Records ones that are open or poorly protected
31:29 with old encryption like WEP which is like useless at this point in time
31:33 essentially so I thought that was absolutely fantastic well we used to
31:38 there used to be a database online too I remember that certain War dialing software that you ran would actually
31:42 upload at the database so everybody could search for these unsecure networks
31:45 even without identifying them first yeah no no that was that was a really big
31:49 deal but that's clever to attach it to your cat and just let him go roam the neighborhood and find your networks
31:53 that's uh that's pretty hilarious and then you can put a high gain mten on your house and reach out and grab
32:00 I thought that was kind of funny um it's just I think it's cool it maybe sucks
32:04 for people that don't have secure networks but I think it's a cool little project I can't believe he made that
32:09 thing um I think that' be hilarious because you can't map where your cat
32:13 goes too so you can see if it has like a a secondary family you see if your
32:17 chat's cheating on you cat is cheating on you maybe with someone with very
32:21 insecure crappy Wi-Fi I don't think people should be like jumping on other
32:24 people's networks and stuff like that but honestly it's it's one of those
32:27 things where by identifying the network and getting it out there hopefully it
32:31 causes them to close the hole like I remember back in the day people used to
32:34 just connect to uh unsecure networks and find shared printers on your computer
32:37 because inside your house usually don't secure your network a lot of people didn't back in the day so you know You'
32:42 just be sitting there your printer just be spitting out sheets of paper like oh
32:45 hey I got your you know hey I'm printing this I'm printing this I'm on your network I'm on your network and then
32:48 they're like oh crap I better go figure out what's going on so at least at least
32:52 sometimes it helps them find it or your cable provider comes out and goes oh yeah you've been sharing movies uh for
32:57 like six months off your connection and this like little old lady's like what's a Sher movie it's like I don't
33:04 understand I don't know oh my God that's priceless though man I I didn't read
33:08 that that's that's awesome I I don't know I used to like I said I used to do
33:11 it back in the day but mostly what you're going to get is stuff like coffee shops or whatever um I don't know if
33:17 this is super common in the States but one thing that's pretty big up here at
33:20 least in BC is different coffee shops will have this thing called uh Shaw open
33:25 Shaw is one of the IP providers they'll Putters in these cfee shs and them um
33:31 but they show up as unsecured networks
33:35 like the browser Ling style um that's
33:38 really common down here also I think even Starbucks down here they give you
33:41 access but you have to go through a web page and agree to their terms of service first yeah and that would be super
33:46 annoying um but oh well too bad I did it when I was
33:51 still learning so uh one thing that you might be interested in actually while
33:56 we're on the whole like program learning topic is we started filming a super fun
34:01 today but as this week has been pretty crazy and both the editing and film guys
34:07 have no free time because they're drastically
34:10 behind catch up um I had to think of
34:14 some way to do a super fun which wouldn't take up a ton of their time so
34:18 I decided to troll the absolute crap out of uh tan one of the guys at our work
34:23 and the way that I did it was by using a a screen melter program MH
34:28 so I'm sure you know about those oh yeah um and I was thinking you might be able
34:31 to make like a partner video for our super fun on how to make one which I
34:36 think would be pretty cool with your I don't remember what it's called code
34:39 code camp or whatever code code gasm code gasm yeah so if you make a code
34:43 gasm video that goes along with the Channel Super Fun video you can show people how to do it yeah it's all about
34:47 the SEO man it's like when you put GM on the end of things people run into it on
34:51 accident for some reason I don't know why they just I don't know why they do that I don't know I don't know
34:57 definitely talk talk to me after the show we can definitely do an episode on
35:00 how to create prank apps because I've probably created hundreds of them over
35:03 the last 15 years at Microsoft and most of them were pretty successful because I
35:07 know all the little nooks and crannies to put things where people can't find
35:11 that's fantastic I did it in a super ghetto way I had a fairly elegant way
35:15 that I was planning on doing it because he's running a hard drive in his system
35:18 I put it on the startup so that he would hopefully turn his computer on and then
35:22 sit there while other things are loading and then all of a sudden it would just randomly happen at least in his eyes
35:28 but he turned his computer on knowing that it had a hard drive and just walked
35:31 away because it was going to take so long to boot so I had to think of some
35:35 other way of doing it so instead of setting up like a timer or anything more
35:38 elegant like that I just plugged a mouse in and waited for him to be using his
35:41 computer and then I launched it while he was using his computer that's awesome I
35:46 I actually have a program I want to give you to go prank somebody one time I I
35:51 called it Tourette and don't don't I know what you're talking about don't
35:55 okay I I made this program I'll go find the the source code for it and send it
35:58 to you it's Priceless okay cool well I I'll use that I just don't want people
36:02 to know what it is yet I must be malicious I'll even show
36:07 you how to hide it so they can't find it perfect okay let's see oh my gosh oh
36:11 continue okay okay we're going to move on so we're going to get to the the the
36:16 topic that you really didn't like um but the NVIDIA physic disabled when a non
36:21 envidia GPU is detected in your
36:25 system I just can't see the reason for them doing I mean the only I guess the
36:29 only reason I could see them wanting to do something like this is that they don't want to be held liable for bugs
36:33 and stuff that are exposed through the incompatibility because they don't own the whole Hardware ecosystem at that
36:38 point their excuse is uh NVIDIA says high quality experience in such a
36:42 scenario cannot be guaranteed but guys
36:45 come on people have been using this for so long it was fine I I've literally never
36:51 heard anyone complain about it at all
36:55 so no I think think play to force force
36:58 upgrade to ATI I mean you yeah like I love you guys but no so that this is
37:04 coming in in NVIDIA's new 342
37:08 drivers um it it's going to be enabling Shield tablet features but it's also
37:11 going to have the feature where it disables your physx GPU so if you're
37:15 trying to run like a beast R9 card and a
37:18 little Nidia card for physx maybe not going to work anymore or you're going to
37:22 have to run older drivers which you can do just make sure you don't update your
37:25 drivers beyond that for for this to work and then maybe it'll run into problems
37:29 in the future but at least work for a little while now
37:33 um yeah I don't know not not cool I'm
37:36 not super stoked for this personally that's not the scenario that I run but I do know people personally that do run
37:41 this scenario and it will affect them and obviously like I just said they'll
37:44 be able to last for a while by just not upgrading their driver software at all
37:49 but that's going to eventually not be a very elegant solution well looking at it
37:53 from the marketing standpoint I mean obviously if people can get a good fizx
37:58 experience from a cheap little GPU that's no longer relevant or supported
38:02 you know that's not good business for them you know they want you to run their
38:06 product so by cutting off the competition and saying okay you have to
38:09 be running NVIDIA everything to get physx some of those people may actually
38:13 like that that may be enough to you know just put them over the top yeah and go
38:17 get
38:20 it so it's it's not going to affect stuff like if you have onboard Intel
38:23 chips or anything like that so don't worry I saw one person in the chat freak
38:27 about that it's just like dedicated card differentials um I don't know this is
38:33 just not really cool I can't say I'm
38:37 surprised to be honest but I didn't expect it I just yeah it just seems like
38:42 it seems like they actually had to go out of their way to like disable the feature and all the card was doing was
38:47 processing physx so was it really doing any work with the other GPU it it
38:51 doesn't sound like it was it sounds like it was just sitting there and independently doing its thing yeah I I
38:56 just jumped to the twitch chat and I see some guy saying AMD sucks with a billion
39:00 exclamation marks and then someone else saying NVIDIA is for hipsters so job
39:05 Fanboys winning arguments Fanboys you
39:08 are holding up the internet you are single-handedly holding up the internet
39:11 because without your Wars without your Wars we'd have far too much bandwidth to
39:15 get into other trouble you're the only reason why your company is able to exist
39:19 so good job Fanboys um apparently from
39:22 here on out any NVIDIA GPU that runs physx will have to be a GeForce 8 series
39:26 or later with a minimum 256 megabytes of memory so that's not exactly a huge
39:30 requirement no really big deal there um
39:35 and yeah I don't know because that's when NVIDIA introduced the uh introduced
39:42 Cuda that got fairly uninteresting because there's not a lot of information
39:46 other than they're just going to make it stop working and and that's why I believe that it's not if if it was a
39:50 technical hurdle and they were like we're rewriting the whole stack for fys X to favor new features on later
39:55 generation processors or something that would make sense yeah but if they're just like yeah we're turning it off
40:00 that's more of like a we're sad we're sad that people out there are like
40:03 trying to use ATI and NVIDIA and it's like ruining our whole Fanboy campaign
40:07 yeah apparently they are working on a resolution for physx issues with AMD
40:12 apus so we'll see what happens there the Apu will be a supported scenario uh I
40:17 think maybe that's like an eventuality I think it might be a problem right now
40:21 but they do say they are working with it so hopefully that happens and then
40:24 here's your halflife 3 rumors
40:28 thing which we'll do before we jump into uh have you seen all the tweets I've
40:31 been sending out for like the last three weeks all the halflife 3 stuff I
40:35 photoshopping so we're gonna give you some more fodder for that fire um give
40:41 me one quick second all right if I jump over here Source 2 found in files I have
40:47 a picture here which you guys totally aren't going to be able to see at all
40:50 because screen sharing is not working at all um it's it's a square dark gray
40:56 window with some white text in it I'm just trying to help good work good work
41:00 I appreciate it I'm not gonna have time to open up the dock but essentially it's
41:04 a picture of the directory setup for oh
41:09 can I get a link from this is that possible no give me a quick
41:15 second I will post something in the chat so I'm going to post the original thread
41:19 which is by lots of unexplainable lag
41:22 which is a fantastic name I have to
41:26 say okay so I just spammed that in the chat if you're watching the VOD of this
41:30 you'll be able to see it in the description down below hopefully or
41:34 you'll be able to jump to the doc on the Forum which you'll well you'll be able
41:38 to see the doc in the description down below and then you'll be able to go to the doc which will show you the link
41:42 which is on the Forum there we go that was a whole bunch of jumps but
41:46 essentially someone found it in a source 2 directory because that's the most
41:50 hidden way they could have possibly done it um which came with a big update for
41:54 DOTA 2's SDK which is called hammer
41:57 many are speculating that it's actually Source 2 as a soft launch instead of a
42:02 hard launch and valve has stated that this is a developer Focus release and
42:06 currently has high system requirements so not denying it which is fantastic
42:12 because that does sound like it could be a soft launch just so people can Tinker
42:16 with it before they actually hard launch it later on um all the files would share
42:21 a name with Source engine and they also are qualified with the number two so as
42:26 you guys can see see in there maybe well
42:29 let's be honest too you do have to check the include hidden objects to see it so
42:33 you know whoa so so not everybody's GNA
42:36 be able to just find this I mean only the true hackers I run that by
42:41 default so I guess I'm pretty badass I
42:44 don't know not really um yeah it's Gabe Newell said we've been
42:50 working we've been waiting for a game to roll it source to out with and he also
42:55 said that it's a new engine altogether not a mere extension of the existing
42:59 Source technology so that's probably why you're seeing that folder they've
43:03 updated Hammer with this possibly Source
43:07 two stuff so that they can roll it out later on I think this is pretty
43:10 interesting because that means we have another thing that's on the two
43:17 nomenclature we will we will eventually get a title that is three and it will be
43:21 halflife I just don't know when but the most brilliant thing would be is if halflife three ran on the source 2
43:26 engine that would be that' be awesome they're
43:31 just like no we will not release a series of Threes um what I'm kind of
43:35 hoping is that this is again something that's happening pre Gamescom and PAX
43:39 Prime so hopefully they go hey yeah
43:43 Source 2 at Gamescom and PS Prime even though this definitely isn't like a very
43:47 official announcement as someone just randomly found it and this I would
43:50 believe even more than the Microsoft Halo thing which I'm just choosing to
43:54 believe because they're not denying it yeah they're saying it's new stuff
43:59 they're just saying it's for developers and it has high system requirements currently so maybe it needs more
44:03 optimizations maybe it needs to be tinkered with some more um but it's well
44:09 from from a software developer perspective too chances are if the engine's in it's you know in an earlier
44:14 stage like this it's probably debug code so it's probably heavily heavily filled
44:19 with lots of additional code that just gets cut out for the final product but
44:22 they need that code to find all the bugs early on that makes sense and that's
44:25 probably it so it's probably going to be much more
44:28 streamlined later on which is great so this is interesting and cool because
44:32 every single time that there's a source update so many games just get better it
44:37 used to be the Unreal Engine and it still kind of is but um definitely
44:41 Source at this point in time will ramp up a whole bunch of stuff um now we're
44:46 going to actually jump to sponsors real quick quick which I'm terrible at doing
44:49 sponsor spots but apparently when we have horrible sponsor spots it's fine so
44:56 let me see if I can do this I think I'm going to have to regrab you because I
45:00 don't think you're going to be here nope crap all right give me a second we're
45:04 going to grab you again not in not in that way settle down I was just getting
45:10 excited too no no a okay so you're a
45:13 little bit smaller than you should be I thought that was like a Canadian handshake like just grabbing people like
45:18 just just just minor molestation that's Canadian handshakes uh so we're starting
45:23 with 54 Club whose shirt I'm currently wearing this fits better than the other
45:28 one which some people have pointed out that's just cuz I have large pectoral
45:32 muscl or at least I would like to believe so we're doing five4 giveaways
45:36 we've been doing this for quite a while you can enter to win in multiple
45:40 different ways one is by liking an Instagram picture which I will post in
45:45 the twitch chat right now I like Instagram picture once once
45:51 was it exciting it was very exciting is that the only one you've ever liked no
45:56 I've liked a lot of them I I'm sorry I lied to you now I feel bad okay so you
45:59 cheated on that one Instagram picture I I did oh jeez that's embarrassing
46:04 anyways you also have to follow 54 it's just 54 on Instagram and comment # Linus
46:10 techtips and just say something cool and
46:14 we put into a draw which we draw on one day to win a 54 package just so you guys
46:20 know if you want to sign up for 54 it costs 60 bucks a month but you get $120
46:24 a month worth of stuff like this shirt you have to go through like a stylistic
46:28 profiling thing where they profile you but not your psychology they profile
46:32 what you like to wear which could be a part of psychology I don't really know
46:36 someone's calling me let me see who it is
46:40 hello hi this is Luke
46:44 yeah you for a second just a reminder that either Saturday or Sunday is your
46:50 brother's birthday I'm not sure is it the nth today yeah I'm hanging out with
46:53 Richard on Saturday you're on the show by the way
46:57 I am not are you are you totally are
47:00 tell everybody I say hi Oh we can hear you they can hear you you're on speaker
47:05 phone hi please hi he says hi all right
47:11 I will let you get back I'm sorry I forgot no problem bye
47:17 mom calls during the sponsor spot
47:21 fantastic awesome that 54 likes partially screwed up integration so
47:25 whatever maybe your mom once you know what you probably are not that great at
47:29 clothing yourself sorry if you are I'm not though so I could probably gain from
47:33 five four club and I know my mom would probably appreciate it if I did because
47:37 I still have I'm wearing shorts that she literally bought for me in grade eight
47:41 yeah let's hear you say that again after seeing this that's actually kind of
47:45 fantastic yeah it is just can't clothe myself come on dude I can't so I just
47:49 assume everyone else can't you know what maybe you can I'm sorry I haven't bought
47:53 months dude everything every shirt I get is just clicking a button online and it
47:56 gets Ma fa to me this is going to sound terrible but every single time I get a
47:59 new girlfriend I go up in clothing because they get frustrated by the
48:03 clothes that I wear they buy me to
48:07 clothes oh that's that's an interesting
48:10 uh yeah girlfriend horrible but it's not
48:13 actually a good thing okay moving on it takes you about a minute or less to
48:16 actually set up your style profile you essentially go through and it's like would you like what one of these would
48:21 you like and you pick like one pair of shoes or one shirt or whatever and then
48:24 it it'll tailor your shipments to that kind of style of clothing pretty cool if
48:29 you sign up right now with offer code lonus you get $15 off your first month
48:34 and they have a friend referral program where if you refer someone you get $15
48:37 off of your next month's membership as well then next up we have I'm GNA have
48:44 to fix it again because it's going to be broken again I'm going to give that service a try actually I like that
48:48 because every every other subscription shirt service I've done you know you
48:51 already know what's coming I'd like to just get surprised yeah I I think the
48:54 whole idea of 54 Club is that you can be
48:58 the biggest laziest person ever and
49:01 they'll just take care of everything which is fantastic because you know what
49:05 I actually don't mind going shopping with people for them but I don't like
49:08 shopping for myself I'm the same way I'm the same I can help people pick things
49:12 out but if I'm shopping for myself I'm just be like uh I'm bored I don't want
49:15 to do this I would bought one pair like two pairs of tailored jeans once in my
49:19 entire life and it was like the most horrible experience ever it's like some
49:23 people like that it's like oh here have some water we're going to tail your jeans I can't stand it it's like I just
49:28 want to go buy them and cuff them up and say screw it exactly yeah all right so jumping up
49:34 to linda.com quite a few people in the office use this I've used it in the past
49:38 and I currently use it my mom speaking of which has used it to try and learn
49:42 Excel um Taran one of our editors has
49:45 gained a whole bunch of editing skills by learning them on linda.com you can
49:49 learn tons of stuff and one thing that I actually suggest it for which is
49:52 interesting because Jerry's on the stream is learning programming I I've
49:56 talked to tons of people that want to get into programming that are in high
49:59 school that are like yeah my course is really boring is it a video is it a
50:03 video based service too like video learning or is because because that's
50:07 like honestly most of all the coding knowledge that I have is from taking
50:12 video like a current coding knowledge is from video courses that I've taken over
50:15 the course of many years because it just you can slow them down you can speed them up you can play them back you can
50:19 keep going back I mean it's the it's honestly the best way to learn it's it's
50:23 it's great I love linda.com I've I've and like the reason I suggest it to
50:27 people in uh High School still is because tons of people aren't challenged
50:30 by their high school programs and you can go on linda.com and learn freaking
50:34 anything like I've said they have thousands of courses and they're adding
50:37 new ones every single week and programming is one of their main
50:41 sections so you want to learn stuff about programming really good place to go if you code gasm first though look
50:46 they gotta watch code gasm and then like share the love go to code gasm for some
50:50 of your stuff go to linda.com for other parts of your stuff you probably need a
50:53 whole bunch of stuff to learn anyways um if if you jump jump on and go to
50:57 linda.com wow you get a 7-Day free trial
51:01 um and yeah PL started about 25 bucks a
51:04 month but you get tons of stuff to learn and it's going to be something that's going to be easy to get like your mom to
51:08 get behind be like Mom I'm not learning enough at school I want to learn more
51:12 well like a single good programming book is like you can be 60 bucks so that's 60
51:18 bucks is like pretty cheap well no I'm not talking about like
51:21 textbooks from college I'm talking about like if you want to go buy like the C
51:24 Bible or something like that one of the larger refal books ories and you can pay
51:29 TOS for a single book so I'd rather have a month of unlimited access to yeah and
51:34 and I know a ton of people that uh don't do very well with learning programming
51:38 out of books anyways if you get someone to to talk to you or be much more
51:43 interactive uh I've seen it go a lot better I agree could Cur I can girl yes
51:52 all right we're going to jump back up in the dock back to other topics so
51:56 Silverstone has shown off a power supply I hope this isn't under NDA because we
52:01 have it which I'm super stoked about because it's for small form Factory it
52:05 is an sfx PSU so a lot of people
52:09 complain that you can't really do like awesome overclock builds with uh mini
52:13 ITX systems uh but now you can because they have a 600 wat 50 amp available on
52:18 12 ra 12vt rail power supply which is fully modular and semi fanless I believe
52:24 it's uh 20% load or below it will do a
52:27 no spin mode for the fan so that mode isn't super high but it exists so when
52:32 you're running idle or whatever you can have a potentially silenti is or silent
52:37 small form factor build that does kind of matter because if you get some type
52:41 of fan controller that can do thermal load where you can have all your fans go
52:44 off you could basically have everything off at a pretty idle rate as long as you
52:48 have fairly good radiators are a lot of case manufacturers actually adopting
52:52 that form factor too it's slowly becoming a thing cuz that's what me off
52:57 is I've built so many of these little systems and usually when they die you
53:00 have to throw the whole case away and like go buy another one cuz like every
53:03 power supply is proprietary yeah yeah it is becoming a thing more and more these
53:07 days especially lately and I bet you with the announcement of this power
53:11 supply there's going to be even more because one of the biggest complaints that people have had is you can't really
53:15 get appropriate power supplies for these systems so now if you're going for like
53:19 crazy overclock balls to the wall system which a lot of people still want to do
53:23 with mini ITX you'll actually be able to do it because 600 watts is quite B to
53:26 play with we can play for for a small system definitely and I and I I want to
53:29 build media centers and I want to build small media centers and that's been my only hold back so far yeah I don't want
53:35 to buy these cases that have these proprietary suppli so that's really cool
53:38 actually a video that I'm planning on working on while lonus is away is I'm
53:42 going to be comparing um Mass wattage versus low wattage so I'm going to be
53:46 taking two very good power supplies but comparing a very good but low lower
53:52 wattage power supply versus a very good very high wattage power supply just to
53:56 prove that having a 1200 watt power supply versus a 600 WT power supply with
54:00 a fair Fairly standard system isn't actually going to help you but what I'm
54:05 not trying to prove because it's you don't want to do that is having a really
54:08 crappy power supply in a really heavily overclocked system you want to Reliable
54:12 one you just don't necessarily need 1,500 watt whatever the crap because you
54:17 probably don't have that much stuff in your system you might I've got 1300
54:21 watts of power in my system I was going to say you might there's definitely
54:24 going to be people out there yeah yeah um but I I don't know for for
54:30 a large percentage of people it won't be that big of a deal yeah and chances are
54:35 you're not going to stuff stuff a big enough GPU in that system anyways to
54:38 need that that giant power requirement all right see somebody do
54:42 that though just hey if somebody out there builds a tiny tiny little system
54:46 that has like the little extension cable that goes to like a Titan tape to the
54:49 side of it that'd be awesome to have like a micro ITX build with a Titan and
54:53 the Titan's like an integral part of the case someone got little
54:58 uh what do you call it ventilation hold fiberglass kind of plate container
55:03 things and just glued them all to the all four sides of his case and put four
55:07 Titan blacks around a mini ITX system
55:10 then just fill the whole thing with mineral oil and just have it circulated do it somebody needs to do it
55:16 yes yes are there any millionaires out there that want to do
55:19 this yeah really do I still have Titan blacks behind me can I just be baller on
55:24 the show yep wait for for it wait for it
55:28 waiting oh dude I hate you guys
55:34 seriously a dude I'm all like poor people here8 still R just get me see me
55:40 what rub of Titan black against my face oh I'm so excited to install these
55:45 you've heard about the room water cooling project right yes yes I actually
55:49 some input on it I told you guys you need to put a kitty pool on the outside
55:53 with an actual spout at you guys would have like warm water like you could
55:57 probably replace the water heater in your house with that thing I remember
56:00 you saying that actually now uh we we've
56:03 ringed my dad in my dad is like a pretty beast mode plumber um he was a pretty
56:08 beast mode plumber for a while and then he's started instructing now at a
56:11 university so he knows what he's doing and we're going to get him to do
56:16 Hardline piping around most of the room and he's doing a return line as well and
56:21 he's like he's he's made our original idea much more legit he actually doing
56:26 the install for a lot of that stuff I I will make you a deal you can pass us on
56:29 the lus if you guys find a way to put a shower head on there in a kitty pool I
56:34 will drive my ass up to Canada and take and I will take a shower in that damn
56:38 Kitty pool I will do it as a part we're trying to make sure that it is uh like
56:43 very well contained so we won't get any contaminants in the loop because that
56:46 could be a pretty big issue so contaminants I'm like I don't think
56:50 you're showering man the whole point having a shower I don't even go out of this room
56:55 I live here here dude that doesn't mean that there's no
56:59 contaminants the skin is naturally oily anyway with
57:03 me uh I think we're going to try and do it as legit as possible but yeah we have
57:06 a whole bunch of new plans now that my dad has been looped into it so that's
57:10 cool um so you guys are just have like quick disconnects and everything so you just pop the systems off quick
57:14 disconnects all over the place it's going to be set up so that um there's an
57:18 external Radiator on every system and then quick disconnects coming out of the
57:21 case and quick disconnects sitting on the external radio on every system so
57:25 that if you want to disconnect it from the room and take it somewhere else you
57:28 can quick disconnect off the room quick disconnect up into the radiator and
57:32 still be good to go you know what you guys should do is just take a whole bunch of like four extra radiators and
57:37 just leave them on a shelf that way you don't have to put one on every computer you just basically take the radio over
57:40 and like snap it to the side of it and then when you're done you unplug it and plug it back in that'd be pretty cool
57:44 too that's not a bad idea
57:47 um I think we're just leave because the
57:50 idea is every system will have um an internal Reservoir which shouldn't
57:56 normally be used maybe it is I don't remember exactly how it works internal
58:00 Reservoir internal pump which will be used we're going to have um d5s in every
58:04 computer which will be pushing all the time just to help the Little Giant uh
58:09 pump that we have in the other room no that's a smart move because you don't want the first system in the loop like
58:13 blowing a hose PSI so high yeah no that's cool uh yeah so that'll be
58:18 helping so essentially literally all that will happen you don't even have to
58:21 take the side panel off you have to do nothing to be able to remove almost
58:24 nothing to be able to take one of the computers and put it somewhere else because you just quick disconnect off
58:28 quick disconnect in and that's it the quick disconnects are going to be laying
58:32 there waiting all the time so that'll be that is so cool take downstairs to film
58:37 or whatever it'll be no problem so that'll be a really exciting project um
58:42 and like I said we looped my dad into that and speaking of looping people into
58:46 things I have some shoutouts for stuff that's happened on The Forum we have a
58:50 shout out to the boink team um for passing a 1 billion point mark which is
58:55 pretty insan and our folding team is now in 42nd
58:59 Place plac Place wow can't I talk and
59:03 they just pass the two billion point mark So holy crap good job everyone
59:09 that's awesome also a call out for Featured build logs I know people have
59:12 been asking a lot of questions about that lady late I just said lady I can't
59:17 talk right now I need liquids but my power raids out
59:20 um anyways the we're having an update
59:23 for that we now have thank you
59:28 appreciate uh I now have other people running it because I was careless and
59:33 couldn't keep up with it so now um wher
59:36 and alpen waser and a few other people are trying to manage it and make sure it
59:40 actually happens so we had a proper one last month but we're going to have kind
59:44 of a catchup month so we're having a featured build log submission post kind
59:49 of open grazing just submit all the
59:53 stuff event where pretty much anyone could subit subit their builds and yeah
59:57 basically anyone with completed build can submit just make sure you follow the posting format so check out the build
60:02 log section of the Forum and submit your builds there and I think when there's
60:07 either a timed version or when we get to
60:10 100 submissions we're going to be moving it to a voting thread and we're going to
60:13 have a big summary of like all the awesome builds that have happened in the
60:17 last little while and then we're going to go back to a monthly or quarterly
60:21 schedule for build logs but it's actually going to be happening properly
60:25 now because now there's a group of us managing it and not just me because we
60:28 all saw how well that went oh well now
60:33 the most important news of the day by
60:36 far the most important news probably that you'll hear this quarter or maybe
60:40 even possibly this year Yoshi's full
60:44 name has been revealed his name is t Yoshi Sor
60:50 munchakoopas what does the T stand for no one
60:54 knows t Yoshi Sor munchakoopas
60:57 ridiculous I think I'm just going to keep on calling him Yoshi but maybe if
61:01 I'm trying to be formal when I'm asking him to run his cart a little bit faster
61:04 in Mario Kart 8 I can say Yoshi Sor munchakoopas um Blake Harris Unearthed
61:09 the character's name from a copy of the
61:13 Nintendo character guide from 1993 I bet they were hoping that that
61:17 would never be reared probably because that is not the greatest name ever um I
61:23 you know I think it's actually kind of cool because Yoshi which is is way
61:26 better but then sore cuz he kind of looks like a dinosaur that makes sense
61:29 and then muncha Koopas is probably the best last name they probably could have
61:33 given him I agree I agree it's very accurate too yeah exactly uh Mario is
61:38 also apparently not a traditional human being he is a different species he's a
61:42 different species called homon Nintendo
61:45 nintend nintendonus I'm not entirely sure how to pronounce that I think Don
61:50 sounds cooler though let's go with nintend nintendonus nintendonus
61:55 Mario is homo nintendonus from from here on out
61:59 everybody when a plumber is at your house referred to them as homo
62:04 nintendonus I hope that I'm going to call my my dad next time I talk to my
62:07 dad I'll be like Father
62:11 nintendonus Can you help us with our water cooling product they're just like
62:14 regular humans except for their pants can't go above their ass crack that's like the that's the Mario has overall
62:19 things and they stay up that's why they wear overalls now you know cuz pants
62:24 that butt crack just keeps going for days because it's Nintendo and they had
62:27 to make sure that they didn't have anything scandalous showing on screen it
62:31 makes sense I get it um anyways that was
62:35 obviously not the most important news of the week but I kind of thought it was on
62:38 awesome I know dorley right now this isn't in the I love dorley oh my God
62:44 it's one of my favorite YouTube channels oh my go let me see if I can find this
62:49 website yes the best Nintendo character ever I'll spam this in the chat right
62:54 now they're currently having a vote voting contest for this and I went
62:57 through and did the whole thing it's kind of cool how they do it cuz it's fairly you get I think 100 matchups 112
63:03 matchups and as you go through it's kind of like voting people off not
63:08 necessarily voting people in because as you narrow down your 112 competitions
63:13 you'll start seeing the same people popping up and essentially what it's
63:16 trying to do is find your favorites so say link is your favorite because he's
63:21 currently voted worldwide favorite right now you'll see him a whole bunch of
63:25 times and the final match up will be Link versus someone else seriously the
63:28 we fit trainer yeah man I voted for her a couple times I bet dude you're
63:34 probably play her in uh Super Smash Bros for Wii U she's really good she's
63:39 actually really good like that's why I voted for her because I was like oh
63:42 whatever I'll pick her as a joke and then I did really well I just threw a
63:45 vote for you buddy I did thanks man I appreciate it see I've got toad versus
63:50 dark Sam it's so hard some of these votes but it's interesting because you
63:54 get to see how everyone stacked up in your voting once you're done and you get
63:58 to see how everyone Stacks up overall so right now the top five are Link in
64:03 number one and then Samos Aran in number two three is Mario four is Princess
64:08 Zelda and then five is red which is like
64:12 ash but in the game series so I don't
64:15 know that's pretty cool they have 50 different ones last place right now is
64:19 Bowser Jr sorry buddy all right but they
64:23 have it from a whole bunch of different Nintendo titles so if you want to kind
64:27 of have some fun maybe check out that dorkly thread
64:31 um yeah I don't know it's pretty interesting I don't know if there's like
64:34 a cut off date or anything so I don't
64:38 know I didn't see it anywhere but I don't think it's that big of a deal it's
64:41 just kind of for fun anyway I voted for like five or six and then I got bored
64:45 and closed it but you know that ADHD is a hell of a thing I was Wonder the the
64:51 only reason why I kept going and finished the whole thing was I was actually wondering how they did it cuz I
64:55 would notice every once in a blue moon when I was first when I went through the
64:58 first few cuz I was like they're going to have 112 matchups this is going to be ridiculous and then the ranking system
65:03 for that going to be weird because if you have um like a super popular
65:07 character voted against a not super popular character obviously they're
65:10 going to win um so I was trying to figure out how they did it so I kept on
65:14 going and then I started seeing things showing up more and more and I was like ah I think I understand and then when it
65:18 came down to the very end and it was the two that I had voted for like a billion
65:21 times I was like all right I understand that's pretty cool next up is toxic
65:28 pretty sure I'm saying that right it's spelled t x i k
65:32 k so pretty sure it's toxic it is a PC
65:36 only Arena FPS it's classic FPS style
65:39 action like a real tournament kind of thing going on all players are always
65:43 equal so there's no like leveling system or perks or [ __ ] and that's part of
65:49 the whole idea my favorite thing is it goes through and it's like no leveling
65:53 system no blah blah blah no all this kind of stuff Arena style combat and
65:57 then the and then they start going through stuff they do have they have um
66:00 different Arena modes they have uh vehicle mode they have all this other
66:04 kind of stuff and then at the very end it says free to play and I was like Oh
66:10 no you're going to Ru the whole thing and then there's this huge stamp that
66:14 goes right over it it's like no it's like
66:18 Yay like transactions just kidding yeah
66:21 seriously um in the comments of the video I saw a billi people saying that
66:27 it's kind of funny that a marketing stance nowadays for a game is to say you
66:34 have to pay for this and people are like
66:37 yeah I know how did that happen weird
66:40 how messed up is the game remember like back in the shareware days right they'd
66:44 give you like a part of the game and then you could pay if you wanted the the
66:47 rest of the game and that was fine but now they've changed the dynamic to where
66:51 it's like now you go buy the game or get the game for free like blacklight
66:54 retribution for for lot of people like that game you get in there and then it's
66:57 like people are like walking around with mechs and and got like indestructible
67:00 armor and you're like running around with like your Daisy Red Rider pump action BB
67:05 gun and it drives me absolutely nuts or
67:08 you've got the if you have an Intel SSD you get those boots that make you run
67:11 faster yep that's why that's why games like Unreal Tournament and stuff where
67:15 you just jump in it's like it's actually your skill it's not like cod where
67:18 you're like level 60 Prestige and you got the gun where you just push a button and the bullet finds somebody and kills
67:22 them you're like PE kill PE kill it's not that bad but it it's still pretty
67:27 bad yeah I hear you so the idea is that they're going to have classic styled and
67:32 massive Maps both of them it's going to be exclusively for PC which is one of
67:36 the big things they're pushing and it's developed by reactor they're a again
67:41 spelled kind of weird r e a k k t o r um
67:44 they're an indie Studio but they have members that have at least 10 years of
67:48 experience with game development all over the place so they're kind of a big deal I'm pretty excited for this to come
67:53 out but I'm going to curb my enthusiasm because the last PC only Rah R game that
67:58 I really got behind that released so I'm not including star SC in right now was
68:03 hard reset and we might all know how
68:06 well that went so hopefully this works quite well um not like PC really needs
68:12 more exclusives because we have tons of them um but I'll welcome it and
68:18 hopefully if we get all of the Xbox exclusives at some point so there aren't
68:22 any anymore and then we have PC exclusives the console guys won't even
68:25 have that argument anymore so I'm cool with that DC Master race yeah um anyways
68:31 krych CEO has actually starting to pay people again hopefully um and he has
68:37 fully admitted to delaying paychecks
68:41 sketchy um some of the things that he has said is that he had two choices
68:45 really um he either had a choice to delay paychecks um delay me not they're
68:51 not getting paid he's just delaying them to a further date or to put push your
68:55 cash flow directly to Studios and file for insolvency because basically he's
69:00 saying he had to delay paychecks or get rid of the entire company both of them
69:04 were bad and he had to make a decision out of two bad decisions which is
69:08 actually a pretty good point uh he's saying that he also um informed
69:13 employees that they they they told everyone that this was going to happen
69:16 and said that they would offer help if people wanted to essentially resign and
69:21 find another job I was all on when he had his little
69:26 pep talk about being like I was stuck between a rock and a hard place and I
69:29 had to make a one bad decision out of two blah blah blah blah blah but then
69:33 when he's like I gave them the option to freely resign or get a delayed paycheck
69:38 I think at that point in time you have to give them a severance package because you're being a jerk doesn't matter if
69:44 you only had two bad decisions you're still being a jerk doesn't matter if you
69:47 had to be a jerk you're still being a jerk I don't think you have to be like
69:51 you quit for nothing and we'll help you find another job or you take a paycheck
69:56 that's not right that's not right at all um so I do feel bad for the dude and I'm
70:01 happy that they did get a whole bunch of money from they're not saying yet um but
70:07 I don't know maybe still kind of dealt with it a little bit better by treating
70:11 your employees a little bit better then if you did this leak probably wouldn't
70:15 have been as bad considering you've been on all of the last like three or four W
70:18 shows you're probably doing something wrong um usually if you do something
70:23 really good you get on one W show um anyways so in other news EA is not doing
70:29 something terrible they're giving BF4 trial for a week I believe
70:35 it's 168 hours of game time so you can
70:38 clock those game time hours whenever you want because of um they kind of freet
70:42 to-play system not too surprising though because hard Line's coming or is already
70:46 out I don't know it's coming no they well they yeah they released the beta
70:49 for a little while and then they pulled it back so we don't know I I don't actually know what the release uh time
70:54 for the game is but I liked it I actually thought it was pretty cool yeah
70:57 so my my my thought process on this is they're probably trying to build hype for Battlefield 4 again so they can drop
71:01 Hardline and then all the people that got all the hype for Battlefield 4 can
71:05 buy Hardline I think they're just making a mad scramble to get a bunch of people
71:08 to beta test their net code so that they can get issues worked out early one of
71:12 those two I think I'm vot I'm voting for your being used yeah yeah yeah either
71:18 way though it's kind of cool because 168 hours is quite a bit of time dude free
71:22 free is free I that's the thing is I I tend not to complain as much about games
71:26 that are free as the games I've paid like $400 to play Electronic Arts got to
71:31 buy your Battlefield 4 on what it Xbox I got an Xbox 360 Xbox One PlayStation 4
71:36 and PC and two of them I got premium on why because they took all my money they
71:40 wanted to take my money so I I just gave it to him I was
71:44 like cuz I have people I play with on all those different consoles like I have
71:47 friends that I play yeah you need to consolidate your friends list man I'm
71:52 going to start doing that I'm going to list be like yeah no you got a PS4 dude
71:55 uh I can't hang out with you anymore yeah I'm sorry I've already got like
71:58 three people over here on this other console so I'm just G to have to let you go I'm sorry here's your severance
72:03 package and I back your s package is
72:06 like a bag of cookies it is yeah it's a bag of pickles and like a code for like
72:09 a free $ five game off steam yes oh man I probably shouldn't
72:13 have clapped in front of the mic um but yeah that that's kind of brutal man I
72:17 don't know if I could do that I usually try to find the most people that are
72:21 going to play a specific game on a specific platform which nowadays is
72:24 almost always PC thank you group of friends um but and then I would buy it
72:29 for that so like back in the day I did get Halo 2 so I played it on Xbox
72:34 obviously because a whole bunch of my friends played so I did do that I I've
72:38 followed friends into buying things but I don't think I've ever bought something
72:41 on two different platforms before I not even two and then you bought it for how
72:46 many five I've got it on like four no four four platforms 360 PlayStation 4 uh
72:52 play or Xbox One and uh PC PC okay yeah
72:56 so yeah I'm all over the place that's
72:59 PR L you don't have anyone with Wii U thing is that sucks on every one of the
73:03 platforms yet I keep giving them my money I don't get it their marketing
73:07 department is phenomenal you know I actually really liked um Battlefield 3 I
73:12 did too that was my f that was my all-time favorite Battlefield my favorite one was
73:17 uh honestly 1942 but Bad Company 2 was
73:20 pretty good I played it for quite a while um but Battlefield 3 I played a
73:24 fair amount and despite all the bull crap it was somewhat okay and then
73:28 Battlefield 4 came out and I just can't deal with their their junk anymore I
73:32 can't believe Battle Log still isn't fixed everying timey to play G so bad
73:36 though how did they go from like decent net code to such horrible net code like
73:39 the rubber banding and the random pauses and like the hit markers like you're
73:44 shooting some dude or where you just shoot out in nowhere and it's like some guy dies you're like where was he and
73:47 then he just like appears and dies in front of you you're like uh this is
73:51 wrong very wrong I don't know man it's
73:55 it's it's it's no good um and and it
73:59 seems like every single time and people people flame me for this every single
74:02 time but I'm going to keep on saying it because it's true every time I go try to
74:05 play the game you can't just launch the game nope it's impossible there's a
74:11 battle log update there's an origin update there's an update for the
74:15 game something didn't work at all
74:18 because it never does and then for some reason there's the friends list is down
74:23 or not working or the servers have having problems or there's a sound bug
74:27 which just makes it so the entire server is muted and it's like oh my God I just
74:30 want to play leave me alone this is the only reason I like consoles Luke the
74:34 only reason is because you go you put the damn CD in the thing most of the
74:38 time I'm not going to say all the time because I still get that stupid you got to download 7 Gigabyte update every
74:42 other day but I'm going to blow you up for this because I tried to do a
74:47 keymander video not even that long ago
74:50 you know what I'm sure you know what keymander is it's that thing have no idea what ke what the hell is keymander
74:54 it's this little in between so you can plug a keyboard and mouse into your console oh I've got I've got one of
74:58 those it's just it's from a different company I yeah um Tred to do a video on
75:03 that and the problem ended up being that it took me so long to set up originally
75:08 because I put I I turned the Xbox on and first of all there's this massive update
75:14 and I'm like okay whatever we don't use
75:17 Xbox one that much at all so it makes sense that I had to do this massive
75:20 update but then I put a Dead Rising 3 disc in that I had from a buddy is a
75:25 developer on the game so it's like the the cas is all signed and everything
75:29 it's kind of cool but I've never played it before so I put the disc in and it
75:33 wouldn't load it says please put an Xbox
75:36 game or identifiable media disc in the system something along those lines and
75:40 I'm like oh okay the disc is dead I've never played it before so I wasn't too
75:44 surprised for a few months sorry buddy but I didn't play your game um so Lon
75:49 sends me off to the store and I find a $20 copy of Call of Duty ghost which was
75:53 hilarious because it was so cheap uh and I bring it back to play on my Xbox One
75:58 and I put that in and it doesn't load and I'm like what the hell okay so my
76:02 Xbox is broken and I go to like lay it
76:06 down so I can unplug everything and when I lay it down it
76:11 reads nice I'm like really you don't
76:15 have vertical disc reading
76:19 support I don't know if that's actually an issue with everyone but we had that
76:22 problem which is just sad it didn't work work at all and then finally I'm like
76:27 okay the game's working now I'm just going to launch it play right away
76:31 because it's a console there obviously be no problems I'm just going to put the disc in it's going to work right that's
76:35 how consoles work massive download required Call of Duty ghost needs this
76:40 like huge download and it has to install locally on the system and I'm like this
76:44 is this isn't a console it's you're not putting the disc in and it works when I
76:48 try to play a game on my Wii if there's a download it takes 2 seconds and it
76:52 works immediately and it just launches the game automatically this one had to
76:56 install it locally and download the biggest patch ever and it took up the
77:01 whole rest of the day and I wasn't even able to get that video done and now it's
77:04 just sitting on my desk and I haven't looked at it in weeks cuz I'm just like
77:08 I think the whole update thing is is completely stupid like it doesn't seem
77:13 like they even try to get the updates that small because it's like oh you look
77:16 at the you look at like the change list and the change list is like oh we've improved net code slightly yet it has to
77:21 download like 8 gigabytes of like you know world maps and textur and it's like
77:26 it just doesn't seem like they try to minimize that patching process they almost like make you download the whole
77:30 game every time it drives me nuts they they just it seems like they tried to
77:34 find anything that could possibly be annoying about a PC version of the game
77:38 and then made it happen on Xbox I remember when I bought Battlefield 4 it
77:42 was like was it a four Gigabyte Gigabyte update for that thing literally I had to
77:47 start the update and like go eat dinner and you know salon and go to work a week
77:51 yeah no it's ridiculous people are asking why I got Call of Duty ghost it's
77:54 because it was the cheapest game I could have possibly bought for Xbox one it's
77:58 not because I wanted to play it I was trying to buy a game that was a firstperson shooter that was as cheap as
78:03 possible because all I wanted to do was show that you could use a keyboard and mouse in that game and Dead Rising isn't
78:08 necessarily the right game to properly show that off for so I wanted to be able
78:12 to show fine movement with a mouse so I thought of getting Call of Duty ghost um
78:17 but yeah I got frustrated by the stupid xbone so I kind of gave up on that maybe
78:21 I'll finish that video at some point in time cuz I think it's kind of cool you can go to your buddy toast that insists
78:25 on playing console and you can bring your keymander and wreck them because you have keyboard and mouse um but
78:30 people get so mad at you if you announce that you use that though like I did a
78:35 video hey guys look I'm using my keyboard and mouse oh god oh you're
78:39 cheat you're big cheater and I wasn't even winning or anything I was like still suck horribly but you kind of are
78:44 because it's so much better and like I'm not even just Master racing right here
78:48 keyboard and mouse is so much better
78:51 than a than a controller and it even is when you use something like a key
78:55 cuz you can change your sensitivity and stuff so you could make it almost not
79:00 really but you can make it a fairly similar experience to using input
79:03 devices on a normal computer it's not going to be as great but close kind of
79:08 interesting but yeah it's it's it's an interesting video because I want to make
79:11 it so that essentially based around how to just completely wreck all of your
79:17 console friends because you can bring this around with you because I think it works with Xbox One Xbox 360 and
79:22 Playstation 3 I think M only works with
79:25 360 like it doesn't I don't think it worked with anything else I'll have to check I think it's a zim a zim Edge or
79:30 something okay yeah yeah it was cool configurable is though because you can
79:33 set up macros and literally do everything the timing between button I
79:37 mean you could literally make one key like do a like a combo like if you're
79:41 playing Mortal Kombat or something you have one key be like a half moon ba and
79:44 like always nail that move so yeah I guess I guess that is pretty pretty
79:48 cheat pretty cheater device it's I'm going to take that to MLG and just
79:51 dominate oh yes I'll bring my keyboard and mouse to my console turnament
79:55 um I I I know like oh what was I trying
79:58 to say here I I know a while ago there was internal controller mods that you
80:03 could do where you can make it so you just hold down fire and it would fire
80:06 semi-automatic weapons at full speed so you could take like single shot rifles
80:12 and big back in like that I remember back in the old Nintendo games they used
80:15 to have those power controllers that you could get where you flip little whatever
80:19 give you turbo rapid fire you'd have like six buttons instead or four buttons
80:22 instead of two yeah that was awesome I love that especially in those games
80:25 where you had to like sit there and just Button Mash the hell out of something to achieve a goal you just hold the button
80:29 down and be like yep win this yeah I don't know
80:35 those are those are pretty cool but they are definitely definitely cheater
80:38 devices but I hope to have a video on that eventually although every single
80:42 time I go work on that project I just get super pissed at the Xbox and quits
80:45 so I don't know when that's going to be ready hey at least you don't have to
80:49 wrap it in the blanket to make it work okay yeah maybe um
80:55 so we get to do something fairly fun actually um can you no I don't think so
81:03 maybe not all right I'm just going to do this I have to play around with screen
81:07 regions for a sec here I never even had a chance he didn't even tell me what I
81:11 no chance at all what we're going to do is a
81:17 giveaway just keep drawing till it is people now Luke I'm sure everybody
81:23 watching is going to be to totally cool with that so what we're going to be
81:26 doing is we're going to be giving away a r9270x and an ocz fatality 1 watt 80
81:33 plus gold power supply with individually slaved cables this is for one winner so
81:38 one winner is getting both it's a slightly overpowered power supply for that graphics card but whatever don't
81:42 worry about it and we're going to be random.org drawing that right now so
81:46 it's based on allius Tech tips.com thread so just give me one second and I
81:51 will pull this up on this monitor because again my screen sharing is not
81:55 working at all so God learned a computer
81:59 luk geez you learned a computer dude I am I'm computer right
82:04 now just gets mad at screen sharing sometimes that's my
82:09 excuse sometimes I wonder if xplit was like written in basic or something CU
82:13 it's like oh my God is it bloat wear I
82:16 know I'm not a huge fan of open broadcaster either though I'm I don't
82:21 like the interface I think it works better overall once you get it configured but God the whoever wrote the
82:25 uers interface for that thing was like I don't know I think he might have been blind I I just find that changing things
82:31 on the Fly With Open broadcaster is a lot harder if you set up everything
82:36 everything perfectly beforehand I prefer it but if you have to mess with things
82:41 while you're live I don't prefer it and because we're so ghetto sauce over here
82:46 we always have to mess with things while we're live so we kind of have to just
82:49 deal with expit yeah so I kind of have
82:53 this working now is is this logged out it's logged out perfect okay add screen
83:00 region this whole thing it's G to be
83:03 Inception here for a
83:10 second the middle here you do that I'll just entertain everybody with a little
83:14 mini Barnacles dancing we'll do little mini barnicles
83:18 dancing so you guys can see uh this is the thread L Tech tips and J2 giveaway
83:22 so what we're going to do is there's 373
83:26 pages so I'm going to random.org for one out of 373 so right now we are
83:33 drawing for the chance to have a chance to win something
83:38 essentially because we're drawing the page of which we will pick one out of 20
83:42 people so generate result is Page 31 so
83:47 if I jump ahead one page
83:51 here everyone just went to the Forum so it's going super slow and then change
83:54 the url from page-2 to page- 31 that
83:59 should work just fine sweet that's the page I'm on yes awesome is it no okay I
84:06 was like what that would have been kind of dude I'm not entering a contest like
84:10 this you how loaded that would be I'm like I'm like co-hosting this show and I
84:14 collaborate with Jay's two cents and we do Tech talk every Thursday that would
84:17 that would look really bad if I won I've hardcore entered contests for other
84:20 people's stuff that are that are big YouTubers really I I entered for Logan's
84:26 car I tried to enter for Logan's car I did I missed it by a couple of hours I
84:30 was like no I wanted the BMW with the gnarly stereo no no shame for me at all
84:35 I I'm going for it I'm not going to win but I'm going for it all right so oh
84:40 Inception we have Sanic Dr rage gasm wow that would be
84:45 funny if he won um AB low XX wolf XX
84:51 Elite INF forap 12 death Wing 72 that's
84:56 probably from World of Warcraft uh
84:59 pit pit not sure Mr
85:04 sler Chris Rex
85:09 Mandy I'm probably butchering every single one of these I'm Nick that one is
85:13 pretty easy um Danny
85:16 Alice fuz TVG
85:20 Viking Rob the hood snacker
85:25 crackle fruit Nathan vosa spawns Beyond
85:30 beast and that is it so we have to one
85:35 out of 20 this to see who
85:38 wins come on rgasm come on that's my
85:41 Alias on there come on I'm just kidding when I saw that I thought it was kind of
85:45 funny actually all right 1020 generate
85:49 16 I'm pretty sure that wasn't rage gasm I'm giving you little droll
85:55 sounds more like a sick airplane but what we got
86:01 s 9 10

86:10 excited 15 is Rob the hood and 16 is
86:16 snacker boom there we go good name too
86:19 so snacker will be contacted I believe you will be contacted by
86:25 Nick LMG on the Forum it doesn't
86:28 actually say how this is being done so you might want to send him a message to
86:32 but I believe he will be contacting you on the Forum with how to get that all
86:37 set up so congratulations snacker and as
86:40 you guys know which has been happening with the previous giveaway that we did
86:44 for a while if he doesn't claim his prize we will probably just redraw it so
86:49 I know he just give it to me just give it to me I don't I don't think big Linus
86:53 is going to be getting that prize um but
86:57 yeah we'll just redraw it so don't worry if the guy has a low Co post count I
87:01 think he only had like four post or something I know tons of people freak out about that every single time it's
87:05 almost better for you guys because there might be a second chance I love how
87:11 basically everyone in the twitch chat right now is saying that they won here I
87:14 got to join in there we go um I I have to join in on
87:19 that kind of stuff I don't know why I just always I did to oh my gosh all
87:24 right is there anything else we should talk about in here Sierra's back their their website
87:30 is all ominous now yeah go check this
87:33 out I I believe it's just sierra.com or something like thater interactive
87:37 anymore just oh okay let's see this interactive used to be one of the great
87:42 Publishers for PC gaming and just in
87:46 general to be completely honest these are Larry space Quest oh God they had
87:51 awesome games I love Sierra they like dominated the 80s and '90s
87:55 yeah they've been dead for a while now um but there's been a teaser post on
87:59 their website and um Activision is
88:03 suggesting their return at Gamescom so
88:06 we will see people are kind of wondering what Sorry Sierra Game quick favorite
88:11 alltime Sierra
88:15 game that's such a hard question I know that's a hard one
88:22 huh I'd probably have to see like a a proper
88:26 list let me see here
88:33 Sierra oh that's still a hard question dude there's so many games like so
88:39 many probably space Quest I was gonna
88:42 say the same thing space space Quest is my all-time favorite Sierra game the
88:46 whole series was hilarious yeah it's still kind of like uh I don't know but
88:50 I'm I'm going to go with space Quest that's what I loved about Sierra games though is every single one of them had a
88:55 really crude funny sense of humor like full ofos and everything it was
89:00 awesome um someone just said CS go uh I
89:04 don't think so um that's probably about
89:09 it we ended pretty much exactly on time
89:12 um I'm probably going to be having a Afterparty thing of my own today but I
89:18 don't know when it's going to start cuz I got some stuff to do because this
89:22 week's nuts I'm probably going to be streaming later on in the weekend
89:25 specifically Sunday of just me working
89:28 on projects because I'm going to be bored cuz I'm be working on projects cuz
89:32 I have to work on the weekend because lonus is taking leave because he has
89:36 like some baby or some crap that's supposed to actually matter I don't know
89:39 not into kids and you know he's not even going to do anything he's just he's
89:42 gonna sit there and play video games be like yeah I'm watching the kid and his
89:46 wife's gonna be over there like half asleep just oh my God it's going to be
89:49 horrible knowing him in all seriousness
89:52 he can't stop moving for more than like 5 minutes because he's this little tiny
89:57 ball of energy so I'm sure he'll be doing a lot um it's not he can hold the
90:02 baby because he can't physically lift that much weight so you know what's he
90:07 gonna do you know there's there's been builds in the past where I'll have to
90:10 like pick the computer up and put it on the table so they could film Boll of it because it weighs too much you're basic
90:15 you're basically like his hired muscle but then there's also the opposite when
90:19 we're installing s uh certain coolers I have to have him come in and help me
90:23 like the dark Rock Pro 3 that cooler with certain motherboards is so
90:27 ridiculous and I got called out for like doing it wrong but like dude I wasn't
90:30 doing it wrong um if if people saw I don't think we ended up including this
90:34 footage how lonus even eventually was able to do it was holding the um am I
90:41 saying this right nut the bolt is the
90:44 like screw type thing yeah I've held my nut before I think you got it right okay
90:48 so he's holding it on the side of the
90:51 screwdriver bit because the screwdriver was me magnetic so on the side and then
90:55 he like HED it into place and just got it to thread slightly and then was able
91:00 to do it because it was so hard to actually get in there with your
91:04 fingers that's what we call those expert finagler yes he was a expert finagler
91:09 and he had to help me with that and that was a complete bull crap install so we
91:12 help in both directions I am not missing build logs if you guys saw earlier in
91:16 the show there is a thread for you guys to go submit build doogs right now check
91:20 it out on the Forum we're doing a big compilation of build dogs then we will
91:24 be moving to a different schedule so please check that out on the Forum I
91:27 will see you guys later uh once again tell people how they can find you guys
91:33 if you enjoyed the show and you enjoyed me even if you didn't enjoy me still come over there bar nerd.com
91:38 yeah or at Barnacles which I think's there on the little screen down there
91:42 see that little Barn yeah come over to Twitter and talk to me I like when people talk to me it's nice makes me
91:46 feel like I'm not alone in this world not virgin for life anymore people talk
91:49 to me not a virgin for life anymore don't you have kids you know what's
91:54 funny I have a kid and I put him in a bunch of videos and everybody still posts down in the comments virgin for
91:57 life so I just go with it now I'm just like dude Immaculate Conception my wife
92:01 was just sitting there eating one night and she's like I feel pregnant I mean I
92:04 I didn't do I didn't touch her I'm just I'm virgin for life here oh that's cool
