welcome to my unboxing of a fire truck
0:10
this is made by arctic hobby you might notice the logo looks a little bit like
0:14
arctic cooling get the ultimate riding
0:17
experience with this fire truck as you can plainly
0:21
see it's huge okay and the package contents
0:26
are fairly straightforward so you get a fire truck
0:29
a remote control some batteries another more different
0:33
battery yet another more different battery and finally a charging cable
0:39
so you can buy the fire truck online at ncix as
0:44
always and people seem to get really confused by this but as always i have
0:48
listed the link to the product on ncix
0:51
um in the description of the video so people are always like Linus why don't you talk about the prices of the product
0:56
in your videos and i say well because the prices change and the video cannot
1:00
be updated but a link can be updated so
1:04
that is why i never talk about prices in my videos but i do provide links to the
1:09
products available for purchase at a particular
1:12
price in the description so
1:17
here we go the fire truck features
1:20
and i don't want to miss any of this stuff
1:27
okay whoa
1:30
features instructions which tell us how to enable all of the
1:35
different functionality of the truck however i will need a screwdriver in
1:39
order to install the batteries and whatnot so give me a couple seconds i'm
1:42
just going to let you get a couple sort of glamour shots of the fire truck
1:46
itself and then i'll be back in just a moment
1:49
so the included items we have an antenna for the remote we've also got a
1:54
nine volt battery for the remote three double a batteries for
1:59
the um bottom of the fire engine okay
2:02
and then we've got this little charging cable adapter doodad that works with the
2:06
arctic hobby charging station now you can also get these guys separately which
2:11
charge the cable or charge the battery pack directly so that's six cells in
2:15
there that's a 7.2 volt volt 800 milliamp hour battery pack okay
2:20
so we're going to go ahead and put all these things aside for now and don't worry in this video we will be showing
2:25
you guys all of the features of this fire truck including
2:29
coming right out of the packaging just like that
2:32
all right oh very exciting
2:36
hold on a second i'm gonna need to
2:39
take this off here
2:43
get this remote out of here let's get this uh styrofoam cleared out of the way here
2:48
so uh it's a bit of an ordeal installing all the batteries so i'm going to do
2:52
that off camera as well but i do want to show you guys the basic layout of the
2:57
fire engine first the first thing you're going to want to do is take this receiving antenna right here and plug
3:02
the straw into the hole down there so that it stands up that is going to keep
3:06
it from getting in the way of the ladder which is pretty much the coolest ladder
3:11
i've ever seen because it extends
3:14
and lifts and rotates yes it has all of the
3:18
functionality of a fire engine ladder so that is to say
3:23
it comes up this way it extends out this way
3:27
and it rotates around this way okay now this fire nozzle or fire nozzle water
3:32
nozzle here at the end remember you don't have to get that close
3:37
here at the end um actually sprays water so there's a
3:41
reservoir right here that we can fill with water and let's have uh here we'll
3:45
do a quick sort of overview of the fire engine itself so here i'm going to lift
3:49
this up so we can have a good look you can see these are rubber tires
3:52
very very nice good traction on those tires okay we've got our mirror right
3:56
there with reflective shiny surface okay we've got you know chrome accents
4:02
including the fire hose nozzles to which
4:05
you actually can't hook anything up i'm very disappointed about that but you
4:08
know how it is okay we've also got these stabilizers and these do serve a purpose
4:14
so you want to bring these out whenever you're going to take the ladder extend
4:17
it and move it over to the side so that's very important got another couple
4:20
wheels here got an axe just in case you need one of those moving around to the
4:24
back check this out you can pull things if you so want so desire
4:29
okay it's a little tight right now but you know you can use this little handle
4:33
here to open it up and close it retract it
4:37
there we go so we're just going to hook that back there where it was okay coming around to
4:42
the other side we got another axe okay we've got all of our you know
4:45
hydraulics and whatnot another fire department logos more shiny
4:49
stuff and then you guys should check out the front of the fire engine so here we
4:53
have our horn by the way it does have a realistic sounding horn honking we have
4:57
our side our uh our lights okay and it does have a siren
5:02
that goes off when it moves here's our bumper windshield wipers realistic okay
5:07
okay so i'm gonna put the batteries in and we're gonna show you guys how this
5:11
bad boy works in just a moment so first i'm gonna show you guys all the
5:15
advanced functionality of the land rider 503 so here you can see we can select
5:20
either the ladder or the wheel i mean i think they mean steering wheel and we're
5:24
going to go with all of the ladder functions first so
5:28
ladder up
5:34
you're going to want to go ahead and adjust that a little bit otherwise that's definitely gonna spill okay we're
5:39
gonna go ahead and take our support struts out of the side of the uh that's
5:43
okay you'll see the other side when i take them out there we go okay there we go so that we don't tip
5:48
over the land rider 503 then we're going to take our ladder and we're going to move it to a little bit to the right
6:04
oh whoops okay
6:10
okay now we're going to go ahead and extend the ladder
6:16
i pressed the wrong thing sorry guys
6:21
now i think slick knows what's coming
6:31
sorry okay okay okay so we're gonna fire the
6:34
water i'm gonna show you guys the range here so we may want to step back a little bit so that they can give us some
6:39
some a feel for this scope of uh
6:42
what we're doing here can you see it at all
6:48
so it definitely does fire water okay so we're gonna
6:53
bring that ladder right back down
6:58
oh look at that you can do two things at once
7:05
okay we're gonna bring that back down to rest right there okay so we have secured
7:10
the fire engine oh yeah i haven't shown you guys the
7:14
horn yet hold on wait for it
7:20
yeah that won't get old fast when your kids are running around doing it
7:23
okay okay but wait but wait but wait wait hold on it gets even better okay so
7:27
we're gonna take the fire engine for a uh for a drive here
7:32
so we're gonna switch over to wheel mode
