0:00 this Linus Tech tips video card benchmarking guide is brought to you by
0:03 our trusted Graphics partner
0:06 EVGA Welcome to the Jungle indeed our
0:10 level of choice for Crisis 3 benchmarking and our platform is powered
0:14 by an EVGA GeForce GTX Titan graphics
0:17 card although uh we're not giving any performance numbers in this particular
0:22 video we have a separate video with benchmarks for the GTX Titan itself uh
0:26 this is mostly focused on the allnew crisis 3 how to Benchmark this game for
0:32 yourself so you'll have results that you can easily compare to the ones that
0:36 slick and I are publishing in all of our video card and CPU reviews so this is
0:40 the run that we use from the Welcome to the Jungle level it's one of the auto
0:45 saav so you'll just have to sort of trial and error it until you find the
0:49 right one I'm going to have slick do a little walkth through so you can it's a
0:53 two-minute run we use fraps to record the minimum maximum and average FPS and
0:58 Slick will show you exactly how to do the run the same way that we do we start
1:04 off just by jumping down here I activate armor but you don't actually need it
1:07 because by the time we get into a firefight you'll regenerate HP anyways
1:11 the beginning of this Benchmark is pretty passive uh it doesn't actually
1:14 start until he gets up to top of the ramp by the way I'll show you exactly
1:17 where we start The Benchmark starts right here right when you see his
1:22 back um like I was saying the beginning of the Benchmark is pretty passive um
1:28 there's kind of two parts to this bench trunk the first part we're just showing
1:31 off like water effects uh Collision as
1:35 psycho and myself run through grass and coming up here in a little bit Collision
1:39 as psycho and myself run through um some cloth that's hanging from the ceiling so
1:45 it's just more showing off different parts of the crisis engine and letting
1:48 it do its thing and then the second part of the Benchmark is a lot more action
1:53 there's explosions fire killing
1:57 Etc so some more grass Collision here and then there's the cloth
2:02 Collision so what we do up here is just we whip out our
2:06 bow and then he's going to climb up that ladder on the left and something falls
2:11 off of it makes a big noise and then when he looks down at us and when he
2:15 motions downward with his hand so right
2:19 there we're going to go through the door then this part needs to be done very
2:22 quickly so you don't get wrecked um get to the top of the stairs scope in and
2:26 take out this turret real quick with explosive arrows
2:30 and then kill this guy you're going to want to De right away because not this
2:35 time but sometimes they throw grenades at you so you don't want that to affect
2:39 your benchmark at all BL up that barrel
2:42 and then take out this guy on the left if he's not here there can be one to two
2:46 guys here if he's not there he's just to the right here uh there usually only one
2:50 guy but there may be two come up the stairs right here and then again there's
2:55 usually about one to two people at the top of these stairs let's see how many
2:59 guys are there this time looks like there's only one so
3:03 we're going to take him out and then go to the left here and jump in the last
3:06 section of this broken down train and then you want to fight here uh you want
3:10 to keep pushing so don't worry too much about taking damage because you will
3:14 very likely not die but just keep moving forward and just keep shooting and then
3:20 you just do the jump here at the end of the bridge and The Benchmark should end
3:23 right there uh if not it'll end right
3:27 there for you and you may want to run it again but it should be okay well I hope
3:31 you guys enjoyed our Crisis 3 benchmarking guide happy benchmarking
