0:07 welcome to my unboxing and first look at the steel series free which contrary to
0:11 what you might believe having heard the name of the product costs money not very
0:17 much money mind you it's not super expensive but it is super Freedom
0:23 enhancing which is I think what they were going for with the name but what it
0:27 sounds like is that it doesn't cost anything so there it is tiny little game
0:32 controller which has huge huge
0:36 functionality especially once we get into a little bit more about it and you
0:40 guys understand what's going on here so first things first we've got a quick
0:44 start guide which is thick they should call it a thick start
0:49 guide yeah all right how to configure
0:52 your free on different devices carrying pouch USB cable quick start guide
0:57 Android iOS including iPhones iPads
1:01 iPods uh PC Mac general information
1:06 pairing mode buttons end of English so
1:10 what you guys may have figured out based on that is that there's a steel series
1:14 sticker inside as well as a little Guide to the free product family and the flux
1:19 product family which I also have here which is some pretty sweet baller
1:22 looking headphones um what you may have figured out is that this is pretty much
1:26 universally compatible with any number of different plat forms and it is for
1:31 playing games now the first thing that came to mind for me is holy crap I have
1:36 a Bluetooth controller that is portable and wireless and convenient and I can
1:41 use it to play like SNES games on an emulator on my Android tablet holy
1:47 freaking crap of course that's not what we're supposed to use it for because
1:51 nobody has any SNES games on their tablet on an emulator because that is
1:57 not what you do no
2:01 you're playing other games however if
2:04 you have other games it'll work with that too so you got a pretty bog
2:07 standard configuration it's perfect for SNES games although you won't be playing
2:11 those with a left and right shoulder button a d-pad start and I mean A and B
2:17 as well as uh oh no yeah sorry sorry ABX
2:21 uh sorry 1 two 3 4 those are the other buttons however you got a couple of
2:25 analog sticks which actually they're a little stiff but
2:30 they'll probably loosen up in time they feel pretty good not bad considering
2:34 again the cost of the controller and the size um so you got a couple analog
2:38 sticks in case you want to use those for you know other games that you're not
2:42 playing on an SNES I mean you're not playing any games on this joke's old um
2:46 so charging you get about 10 hours of intense gaming with the device uh when
2:51 it's got a full charge and around 20 plus hours of casual gaming where you're
2:55 sort of using it uh sometimes and then not using it other times and I don't
2:59 know what he's pointing at I don't know what he's pointing at por slick C cable
3:04 length oh cable length oh he wants to no the cable doesn't matter the cable's
3:09 just for charging charge it and play it on your computer sometime well yeah you
3:12 could but that Bluetooth anyway so it's
3:16 cordless but slick wants okay fine it's
3:19 this long it is one Linus ARM length and one Linus chest width
3:24 long and other than that I guess let's just look sort of closely at it and how
3:29 awesome it is is and how small it is oh you know what this might be kind of funny so this is it next to my hands so
3:34 you can see that I will have no difficulty using this now I'm going to go ahead and take the camera from slick
3:38 and I'd like him to hold it in his hands so if you are a large person like slick
3:44 who's basically a giant it might not be perfect for you I hope they come out
3:49 with like a free XL or like uh you know free something and it's a little bit
3:54 bigger but for now this is perfect for girls children and men with girly hands
4:01 thank you for watching and don't forget to subscribe to lus Tech tips
