0:07 welcome to my unboxing and first look at the Corsair h110 this is a
0:14 280 mm liquid cooler from Corsair it is
0:17 an all-in-one pre-filled liquid cooler which means it's pretty much zero
0:21 maintenance uh within its reasonably expected lifespan of how long you would
0:25 have that computer and it is simple to install as long as you pick out a case
0:31 that it is compatible with as we open up the box we find everything packed in a
0:35 neat eco-friendly package so this is using sort of brown paper cardboard
0:40 rather than going heavy on the foam even things like the radiator itself are not
0:44 packed in foam it's just a a paper recyclable material which I do like to
0:48 see also you have a warranty card that tells you not a whole lot but it's okay
0:54 because on the duration of warranty well it depends anywhere from 2 years to
0:58 Lifetime it's okay though because tells you right on the outside of the box that
1:02 it is a 5-year guarantee from Corsair
1:05 Inside the Box we find a number of things including two 140 mm fans it
1:11 should be noted that unlike the Corsair 100i these are not Corsair designed fans
1:16 I mean they're Corsair fans but they don't have the flat blades like the SP
1:20 Series so they're using more of what we saw on Corsair's last generation liquid
1:25 coolers in terms of the blade design okay they are four pin pwm fans however
1:29 and they do have uh black ribbon cables so they're going to go well with your
1:33 system pretty much no matter what I mean Corsair is uh is so good at making sure
1:38 that their components are not only high performance but also are held to a
1:42 different standard in terms of Aesthetics for mounting hardware you've
1:46 got everything you need for pretty much every socket you could possibly need
1:49 including fm1 fm2 am3 am3 plus am2 am2
1:54 plus LGA 1156 LGA 1155
1:57 lga775 LGA 1366 and LGA 2011 the
2:02 instructions that are included are very straightforward and again we're used to
2:05 seeing this and if you've installed something like a Corsair h70 or H50 in
2:09 the past you'll pretty much already know how to use all of this stuff one of the
2:14 challenging things with the Corsair 100
2:17 or rather h110 is case compatibility so there are
2:22 some Corsair cases compatible with this particular cooler uh I mean even some of
2:27 the cases that they don't say are compatible actually ended up working for
2:31 example uh we found that we could install it in a Vengeance C70 which is
2:36 right over there and that is not listed as compatible we did this without any
2:39 cutting all we had to do was get some washers and put them uh between the
2:44 screws and the case itself because the holes were a little bit wide so that was
2:49 the only issue so with a little bit of Ingenuity if you've got a dual 140 mm
2:53 fan mount in the top and enough clearance to have not only the radiator
2:59 but also the fan itself without interfering with any of the components
3:02 of your motherboard you shouldn't run into too much difficulty the radiator
3:05 itself is as you'd expect about 36% larger than an h100i or an h100 due to
3:12 the larger fan design it is still a fairly slim radiator so this is
3:16 necessary because the last thing you want to do with a product like this
3:19 that's not compatible with every case out there is go and make it thicker so
3:23 that it's compatible with even fewer cases because it's so wide you're not
3:26 going to be able to do what some case manufacturers have done and that is to
3:30 offset the 120 mm mounting holes in the
3:33 top so that there's room for the motherboard on the side rather than centering it with something this large
3:38 the tubing is a very very flexible quarter-inch tubing so that's another
3:42 option that hasn't been carried over from the h100i and addition to Corsair
3:47 link software not being included with the h110 at this time so the h100i has
3:52 38 tubing whereas the h100 when these
3:55 are very confusing model names h110 does not have 38 in tubing it has 1/4 inch
4:00 tubing it also lacks uh here we go uh
4:04 rather no it doesn't lack it uh oh yeah it also lacks lighting effects on the
4:08 Block itself but it does have the same swiveling connectors here so that you're
4:12 not going to have any difficulty regardless of where your CPU socket is
4:15 situated on your motherboard making sure that the tubing is not sort of at a
4:20 weird angle that puts unnecessary strain on the connectors the design for
4:24 mounting is the traditional sort of ring mounting bracket that we've seen many
4:29 times in the past with a copper base that has a highquality thermal compound pre-applied
4:33 to it and the pump here we go is powered
4:38 by a black ribbon cable that is a three
4:41 pin connector so that'll plug into either a pwm CPU fan connector or a
4:46 legacy 3 pin connector but you'll only be able to use DC control if you wanted
4:50 to lower the speed of the pump but I really really wouldn't recommend doing
4:54 that in 95 cases out of actually 100
4:57 cases out of 100 just don't do that thank thank you for checking out my unboxing and first look at the h110 from
