0:00 now this is a product that AMD has
0:04 pretty much been talking about since the ATI acquisition this is Fusion so let's
0:12 uh let's start with who this is from so this is an MSI products it's the E350 I
0:17 A- e45 this is compatible with Windows 7
0:20 it is AMD Vision certified it has HDMI
0:24 and apparently it comes with Norton which don't bother installing just download Windows Microsoft whatever
0:30 Security Essentials okay it's got all solid caps runs with SATA 6 GB per
0:34 second as well as USB 3.0 for high-speed peripherals and internals and it has a
0:39 threeyear warranty and let's see we got
0:42 all solid caps this is a military class motherboard so it should last a long
0:46 time uh USB Safeguard so it has an ESD protection chip you can rest assur to
0:50 stay on the safe side with dual current
0:54 protection chip static electricity whatever that is so you can safely plug
0:57 in USB things okay say 6 gig 3 USB 3 m
1:01 flash is a cool feature it allows you to update the BIOS easily although this has been around for a while so I suspect
1:06 they had run out of things to talk about here all right bough all solid
1:10 capacitors that's a great thing this is an mitx board and it supports AMD Fusion
1:14 processors zate zakti I actually don't
1:18 know somebody educate me this is the
1:21 E350 it has support for two dims for up to DDR3 1066 up to 8 gigs
1:28 Max check it out yeah yeah one PCI
1:31 Express x16 slot so this will support
1:34 full speed graphics cards eight channel 7.1 audio gigabit Ethernet four SATA 6
1:40 gbit per second ports from the AMD Hudson M1 as well as two USB 3.0 ports
1:45 10 USB 2.0 ports and there's an IO overview which we won't need because we
1:50 are going to open the box bam Box is
1:53 open okay so we got a driver and utilities DVD throw it away download the
1:57 latest uh we got MSI talking about all their good stuff like big bang Fusion
2:02 military class as well as a quick installation guide which looks to unfold
2:06 into about the size of a poster okay we've got an IO Shield which
2:10 is helpfully color coordinated thanks for that and then
2:14 we've got a couple SATA 6 GB per second
2:19 cables top quality and stability here's a little manual for
2:23 you in bunch of
2:28 languages EXC excuse me guys sorry okay
2:31 so then in our environmentally friendly cardboard packaging we have the E350 I a
2:38 e45 itself so this is a very cool
2:41 looking board it has on
2:46 it a Heat snc fan combo in the middle
2:51 that is cooling the Apu so what you're
2:55 going to notice immediately about this board if you're like me and you notice
2:59 these things is that it doesn't have a chipset visible anywhere on it so what
3:05 that means is that either there's something under that heat sink oh which
3:08 there is okay so that's that's pretty boring but that chipset is only handling
3:12 IO I can tell you guys that much because the CPU is actually soldered onto the
3:18 board includes the memory controller includes the
3:23 GPU includes the GPU so this is Fusion
3:27 finally here and is full fly capable of
3:30 playing back HD movies and all of that good stuff you might even get a little
3:35 bit of low-end gaming going on on a platform like this so that's pretty cool
3:39 so let's start with the overall layout of the board which is what we usually do with motherboards here on my blog we've
3:45 got our CPU GPU and chipset all under
3:48 this massive heat sink massive compared
3:51 to the ITX board that it's taking up about a quarter of the surface area so
3:56 it's not really all that big but then we've got our four pin CPU power
3:59 connector up here and I have no idea what the ideal location is on an ITX
4:03 board so let's assume that's pretty good we've got a couple of headers here we've
4:07 got some what appears to be three-phase power design okay we've got our CPU fan
4:13 plugged in Via three pin fan header all right we've got two DDR3 slots up to
4:20 DDR3 1066 and then we
4:24 have wait really 1066 maybe I forget
4:27 yeah DDR3 1066 huh there you go okay we've got our 24 pin power over here on
4:32 the right hand side there's our four SATA 36 GB per second ports we got a
4:36 couple front USB we've got uh front
4:39 panel audio we've got where are our front panel
4:43 connectors hm where are those they must
4:47 be here that must be them although I'm
4:50 not 100% sure no that doesn't look like them where are
4:56 they now this is audio this is front panel sorry guys that's audio that's
5:00 front panel okay so here's our PCI Express 16x connector which I'm a little
5:04 bit although not all that disappointed to a report is not actually PC e6x you
5:08 can actually see the metal contacts in here that only goes up to 8X although 8X
5:12 is enough for any graphics card that's going to uh you'll you'll be able to
5:17 overpower this CPU long before you're going to run into that PCI e8x
5:23 bottleneck all right here we go so we got a combo PS2 Port big fan of these
5:27 we've got 1 2 3 4 4 56 USB 2.0 ports
5:32 HDMI VGA gigabit Ethernet 2 USB 3.0
5:36 ports optical audio out as well as uh
5:40 optical audio out as well as coaxial audio out and 7.1 audio here is the seos uh battery
5:47 which is kind of glued to the io panel for some reason there's the NEC chip set
5:52 that's running our usb3 ports and gee I guess that's all there
5:57 is to really say about it it's revolutionary actually it doesn't look
6:00 like much it just looks like you know another mitx board a pretty slick
6:04 looking one but this could change
6:08 everything thank you for checking out lus Tech tips and don't forget to
