0:04 and steel series hey guys I'm back at the Indie Mega Booth with Scott for the
0:09 game called necro now can you tell me more about what this game is really
0:13 about sure so necro is a game about playing an undead Necromancer right so
0:17 you basically summon a bunch of
0:24 monsters and then go raid innocent villages
0:32 and utterly destroy them so basically it's the best premise for a game ever
0:36 right right I noticed uh I watched the trailer on the Indie Mega Booth trailer
0:41 that's kind of an interesting thing to say but that's exactly what I did right yeah yeah um and what it reminded me a
0:46 lot of was when I was a kid and played Warcraft 3 I know that's kind of weird
0:49 but when I was a kid and played Warcraft 3 when you turn as arthus one of the
0:53 first missions you have is you get this huge Army and then you just wreck a town
0:57 and that's really what this reminded me of is did you get where did you get Iration from you just nailed it
1:02 basically for Warcraft 3 like I mean the whole Undead faction I love the undead
1:06 faction like the little meat wagon like we have something in our game called the
1:10 meat bag which is basically like this bag on your back full of Limbs and you
1:13 throw them at people like it just came straight from the meat wagon which is
1:17 like a big corpse train it's amazing um but our main Inspirations were basically
1:21 really like late 90s games um Dungeon
1:25 Keeper is my biggest one ever I love like just monsters and you know each
1:29 monster in our game has has its own personality its own AI patterns like it
1:32 it really acts different than every other monster so that adds to a lot of
1:36 the strategy of our game but it also makes Every Creature feel like it has
1:40 you know its own identity and that's I think huge in a game like this where
1:44 it's all based on monsters so I mean Dungeon Keeper was a massive influence
1:48 for me just because of that alone and then um I don't know if you heard of
1:51 this one but Myth the Fallen Lords by bungei before you know the other Bungie
1:55 game yes oh my God but that was one of
1:58 my favorite games of all time and in that game anytime something was
2:01 destroyed it like just turned into all these little jibs and the battlefield
2:05 was like stained with blood and the blood never went away the whole entire
2:09 time and all the jibs like you end up with a battle where you just had this
2:12 massive mound of disgusting meat everywhere and I know that sounds
2:15 absolutely terrible but like it was so cheesy and fun I just I loved it so I
2:20 mean those are my main influences Warcraft 3 you know Dungeon Keeper myth
2:25 uh a lot of games from the late ' 90s I just absolutely loved that's awesome
2:28 late '90s games nothing wrong WR with that now one more thing to ask is you
2:32 are the the the bad character in this game but as a bad character you can
2:36 still be a protagonist what is the antagonist in this game there is an evil
2:40 King so basically when I say evil it's relative because everything in our game
2:43 is evil right everything is dark the world is completely corrupt but you used
2:48 to work for this evil King right and essentially uh he was very arrogant and
2:53 wanted to live forever so you were this you know badass Alchemist you make him a
2:57 vial that will make him live forever but in order to do so it has a curse that
3:01 you have to first die so he he hated
3:04 that sentenced you to death and basically he throws uh the vial on your
3:09 dead corpse and brings you back to life so now this super corrupted King is out
3:12 there and you're trapped in this world of not living and not dead so the only
3:16 way to bring yourself to the Land of the Dead is to exact revenge on this Super
3:20 Evil King so you go do horrible stuff to a guy that's done horrible stuff to you
3:24 so it's just like this super epic battle of Revenge on both parts right that's
3:30 cool now one more question what is your personal favorite part about this game I
3:35 absolutely love just the creature interactions it is a action game it's a
3:39 strategy game it's a tactical game like everything about it is its own identity
3:45 and like I've just I've not played a game like it and I'm not just saying
3:48 that cuz I'm developing it you know like it it really has it its own feel and its
3:53 own I know style to it that not a lot of our games do and I I love that about it
3:57 so I think I think it's B basically that it it covers so much ground the minions
4:02 interact with you in a different way than in any other game and uh you're
4:07 just able to do things in this game that you can't do in other games I love that
4:11 that's great to hear we've noticed a trend and I know I've said this in other videos but we have definitely noticed a
4:15 trend in the Indie Mega booth that these guys are doing stuff that's new they're
4:18 doing stuff that's Innovative like you said he hasn't played a game like this before it's probably true he probably
4:23 hasn't played a game like this before because all these guys are driving Innovation and trying new things thank
4:28 you for showing us your game game if you like necro necro sorry if you liked
