0:03 damn it it looks like I have a hickey but it's actually just me scratching my
0:07 neck right before the show
0:10 started and on that uh on that note the show has now started welcome to the W
0:17 show oh this is awesome I messaged
0:21 Brandon about 10 minutes ago hey can I borrow you for a minute I'm at the W
0:25 show set and he pokes his head out the door as I'm recording the pre Show
0:30 starting bit deal and thinks that I'm live and goes back away and then I
0:36 message him right afterwards when I was done I'm like oh hey I'm ready for you
0:40 now it takes him like eight minutes to see it now he comes out I'm actually
0:43 live uh Brandon I just wanted you to have a look at the uh color temperature
0:47 of this light it looks off it's been on for quite some time is it
0:50 adjustable it's like there's like voodoo magic that goes on around here
0:54 adjustable color temperatures of Lights he's actually kickstarted some legit
0:59 timately color changing lights that are going to be like now you can adjust the
1:04 white point you can adjust the color point I'm clearly just stalling for time
1:08 while I wait for this uh dock to load up on my screen here but that's okay
1:12 because it's here now we've got a lot of great topics for you guys today Luke's
1:15 going to be joining me on the show very very shortly he's actually just
1:19 finishing up a video right behind me there hi yep he's there see that trust
1:25 me it is the actual the actual Luke do I look better now I'm like really bright
1:29 now but that's
1:33 okay that's fine don't worry about it Brandon it's all good so we got a lot of
1:37 great stuff for you guys today AMD's
1:41 ryen did I say it right this time ryen
1:45 has been detailed it's going to be octacore 2.4 GHz Dynamic overclocking we
1:51 will talk more about that for sure
1:54 Amazon's first Prime air delivery has
1:57 taken place Microsoft is bringing Cortana to fridges toasters thermostats
2:03 and Space Marine suits near you and
2:07 krych is sinking wages unpaid Talent leaving will
2:14 there be another crisis I mean yes but not with a Y so
2:21 let's go ahead and roll the intro which has no audio long story couldn't get it
2:26 working
2:30 do I'm going to use this time to post to
2:33 Facebook that we are starting the W
2:37 show only audio in the Left Channel yeah
2:41 how does that work how do these things change get a CRA in the right
2:46 channel who changes these
2:52 things um like 12 hold on a second wait what
3:00 how how how is this even
3:03 possible how is anything
3:07 that it doesn't even have the there's like a feature there's a feature in
3:11 xplit to to mix them together oh here we
3:14 go copy left to right let's try that it was on automatic um I don't know go go
3:19 try that go let me know why is life hard
3:23 just watch speaking of life being hard
3:26 um squar space makes it so that your life is not so hard if that is to say if
3:31 your life is making a website on Squarespace also I fix it which again
3:38 maybe doesn't make your life easier but does make your life
3:43 cheaper um which maybe came across wrong
3:47 but uh you you save money so there you
3:51 go you save money on your repairs so it's it's like it's harder to do it
3:55 yourself but you don't have to pay someone else to do it but it's easier
4:00 than if you didn't have the necessary to you know what I give up let's just let's
4:04 just cancel wo this week sick no I can't
4:08 do it no not because I'm sick no I meant
4:12 like no we're not canceling wo I'm back
4:15 I'm back all
4:19 right non-existent human figures his or
4:23 her left ear is now more used than his
4:26 or her right ear you know what I I take
4:30 no responsibility for any of that Brandon I think it looks fine now thank
4:34 you very much for your hard work um except for that bounce card that's what
4:38 I was getting oh okay thank you very much yes you may retrieve the bounce
4:42 card you know
4:45 Brandon and I had a deal we had a deal
4:50 when we moved into this Warehouse the deal was
4:55 that he would get his very own corner
5:00 of this 6,000 square foot space that I
5:04 acquired and if I allocated him that
5:07 corner I wouldn't have to deal with all of his crap all over the place that was
5:14 the deal that Covenant that Covenant
5:18 Brandon has been broken by you because he doesn't have his spot yet he okay the
5:24 only reason he doesn't have his spot is because it has taken him over a year
5:30 to get the set built in it he had a
5:33 budget from before we moved in I tried
5:37 brand to get that done I did what I could he just didn't get it
5:42 done um also oh I have some other things
5:45 that we just couldn't get done news for you guys this one's really exciting and
5:51 closely related to the audio issues that we had uh shortly before the show
5:57 started here so Focus right I don't know
6:00 if you're familiar with them but they make um we actually have one of their
6:04 dads here and the only reason we're not using it is because we've had issues
6:08 with our compressor and the microphone that we've had hooked up to it anyway
6:12 Focus right reached out to us and this is kind of funny they reached out about
6:16 doing a review of some of their gear and
6:19 I kind of went you know what I don't think that it is going to
6:27 um carry a lot of credibility in if I
6:30 come in and start reviewing like professional audio gear and they're like
6:36 oh setup is like pretty good yeah you know what so get out of here you're
6:40 you're supposed to be not on the show right now so so they're like oh why is that
6:46 and I go well you see we've got this live show and we can never get the uh we
6:52 can never get the audio working and it's
6:55 taken literally years and they kind of go oh well
7:00 we could help you with that and I'm like
7:03 well heck yeah so the plan right now is for them to come down here next week and
7:09 we are going to share with you guys all in one video everything that we've done
7:14 to improve W show over the last little
7:18 bit here so the new capture cards you've noticed actually for the last couple of
7:22 months we haven't had any capture issues um the new lighting setup that we've got
7:27 actually the lights themselves didn't change but it's really really quick to set up now which is pretty freaking cool
7:32 um we are completely redoing the Wow
7:35 Computer um so course A's giving us their new case and we're going to like
7:40 do up the wow PC and finally Focus right
7:44 is coming in to they are actually sending
7:49 technicians not just gear they were like yeah we can send you all the gear you
7:53 want I'm like that's great we have gear
7:56 that's really not the problem um so there sending us actual text either one
8:02 or two to come and not just set
8:05 everything up for us but actually show us how it all works so I'm super duper
8:11 excited and it is going to be freaking
8:15 awesome and uh with all these
8:18 improvements says John d03 why is the show still late well
8:23 today the show is late because I had the
8:27 brilliant idea of not working on the video I was supposed
8:32 to be working on today which is a review of the ASUS G20 which is freaking
8:37 awesome so far I mean reviews not out take take this as early Impressions okay
8:43 so uh let me let me just bring this um I thought I had the page up already yeah
8:46 here it is let's go ahead and screen share here um so this puppy right
8:51 here uh so take this as the early Impressions that it is the
8:57 g20cb man their name sucks
9:00 um but it's really small about 10 L I
9:05 think 9 and a half lers um it's got a
9:08 core i76700 in it and the model I've got has
9:13 a GTX 1080 with 512 gigs of SSD storage
9:18 and one terabyte of hard drive based storage and it is
9:24 unbelievably quiet for all the performance they have managed to pack in
9:29 that tiny little enclosure I'm really really impressed so far anyway so
9:34 instead of working on that I was like you know would be cool if I could find a
9:40 way to get OS 10 Sierra Running on a
9:43 legitimately powerful laptop so I was like I'm going to try and Hackintosh a
9:48 laptop today and I ran into a wide
9:51 variety of problems everything from Apple's download server uh being so slow
9:56 it took me an hour to download s 10
10:00 Sierra uh on a gigabit connection so so
10:04 there was that yeah there was the um I'm
10:08 doing it through unraid I'm actually doing it through a VM yeah because which
10:12 might actually be easier for you yes so I found as like step-by-step guide which
10:17 is pretty much what I need to do any Hackintosh stuff because I'm not an
10:20 experienced Hackintosh the the last time we did a Hackintosh thing I very closely
10:25 followed a step-by-step guide and still had problems yeah so um
10:30 uh what were some of the other problems I had today I I I oh yes right so the
10:34 the the guide was based on creating the Sierra installer on yed I believe or El
10:41 Capitan or something like that so the dis utility has changed and then I
10:46 wasn't able to create an image doing thing anyway the original image I
10:49 created was on a 64 gig USB drive so so
10:53 it was a 64 gig image because I'm an
10:56 idiot and like it was just it was one of those I'm in a rush so I'm doing things
11:01 that are dumb and it's not working very well types of days today those are
11:06 always brutal yeah um not that you'd know anything about that
11:11 today yep I like if I'm going to be under the
11:15 bus I'm pulling you down with me buddy oh that's fair I was trying to do a uh
11:20 I'm not going to tell you exactly what it is but I was trying to do a video on a laptop thing that I was doing it
11:25 included a laptop and I'm going to go back and keep working on it now but the
11:30 brightness was so low that trying to record it with the camera showed like
11:34 crazy flickering and then I was like I was the genius who came in and was like
11:39 hey why don't we just capture it on a separate device and
11:44 then uh yeah it doesn't have an HDMI port so VGA I don't think we have a
11:49 single VGA capture device all right so get get back to get back to what you're
11:53 doing all right all right all right everybody wants me to talk about AMD
11:57 ryzen which is not the same same as the rice in from Breaking Bad in that it
12:03 won't kill you um I am going to start with this so
12:10 first of all let's go ahead and hk5 was the original poster on the Forum
12:16 and the source for the article here was um videoc
12:21 cards.com here's a bunch of information
12:24 um I'm going to kick off with this that
12:28 name is
12:31 terrible they might as well have brought back
12:35 Duron as far as I'm concerned nobody is going to pronounce
12:42 that ryen it's
12:46 risen why are you and like why would you
12:49 even draw attention to something that
12:53 your fans have been in denial of for so
12:57 long why would you call the product
13:01 risen because let's face it it is not risen it is risen why would you call it
13:06 risen that is an admission that you had
13:10 fallen somewhere how many people are going to
13:13 be disappointed about that anyway from the look of things there's nothing to be
13:18 disappointed about spec wise so we've
13:22 got um here we go where's the uh
13:25 information on this page here we go
13:29 so the key info is here eight cores 16
13:34 threads 3.4 GHz plus they've done some
13:39 comparisons they've done some demos that lead us to believe it is something
13:44 similar to Broadwell in terms of the
13:48 performance per clock which would make this a very compelling CPU if it comes
13:55 in at the right kind of price 20 Megs of
13:58 level two level three cache an extended
14:01 frequency range so some kind of uh turbo
14:06 boost or like GPU boost like technology
14:10 that will reward users who are cooling the CPU well um fully automated
14:17 apparently with no user intervention required which is pretty cool okay so a
14:22 bunch of uh caching
14:25 stuff uh temperature speed and voltage monitoring it adaptively controls all of
14:31 that stuff in real time for lower power usage so that's cool fine grain
14:36 frequency control boost I mean the reality of it is there's not a whole lot
14:40 to say about a CPU um other than that like yes it's
14:46 fast and it's power efficient so as long as you've got that stuff nailed down
14:50 then if the price is right then uh you've got my attention here we go the
14:56 am4 platform this on honestly it is more
15:00 out ofd than AMD's existing CPUs from a
15:04 purely performance standpoint um that that no sorry am4 is not am3 plus was I
15:11 mean it was still PCI Express 2.0 for crying out loud
15:15 AMD has been building
15:18 gpus designed to work best on an Intel
15:23 platform for like three four years now
15:27 like a long long time so finally AMD is
15:32 bringing the platform up to date ddr4 and it looks like we're going to
15:37 get four slots there so dual Channel ddr4 by the look of things PCI Express
15:42 gen 3 USB 3.1 Gen 2 so 10 GB USB NVMe
15:49 SATA Express I guess uh AMD didn't get
15:53 the memo when they were working on am4 that SATA Express is completely dead in
15:57 the water but that's okay that's okay
16:00 they're still not going to have Intel exclusive Technologies like
16:05 Thunderbolt but I mean this is um this
16:09 is actually almost an entirely separate discussion for
16:14 wano does Thunderbolt matter much and you can look
16:22 at um you can look at a variety of different
16:27 indicators that tell us what industry
16:30 leaders think of Thunderbolt so
16:34 Apple equipped the latest MacBook Pro
16:38 with anywhere from two to on most SKS four Thunderbolt 3
16:43 ports but they also did this in a way
16:47 that to me indicates that they don't
16:51 they were just trying to give their users the the utmost in expandability
16:58 and flexibility moving forward in terms of what they can
17:02 plug into those ports because they're type-c
17:05 ports that support USB 3.1 Gen 2 so
17:09 that's 10 gbit Thunderbolt 3 so that's 40 gbit as well as HDMI uh DisplayPort
17:16 all that stuff so the idea was just like the ultimate versatility um like
17:21 simplifying life for the Mac User just you plug your power you plug your
17:25 display you plug anything into this and blah it just works
17:30 except for one thing Apple apparently didn't think the
17:35 actual Thunder three functionality was
17:39 important enough to bother to have their laptop work with any Thunderbolt 3
17:45 devices that are on the market I don't know if you guys have
17:49 been paying attention to this but go
17:52 shop for a Thunderbolt 3 peripheral
17:55 that's certified to work on the MacBook Pro you won't find one and the reason
18:01 for that and I cover this in my MacBook Pro review which is coming to YouTube I
18:04 think sometime next week something like that anyway my MacBook Pro review is
18:09 coming but I cover this and all the Thunderbolt 3 devices out there right
18:14 now are running a first generation Texas
18:17 Instruments chipset for USB power delivery and all that nonsense and apple
18:23 specifically locked out any devices
18:27 using that first generation chips set from working in OS 10 Sierra on the
18:33 MacBook Pro so you can you can boot
18:36 Windows you can boot camp into Windows
18:39 and you can run a razor core or we've got an aido external drive enclosure
18:45 that works just fine you plug it in an OS 10 nothing it doesn't even give you
18:50 an error it's not even like oh hey so
18:54 we're a bunch of like buttheads and we
18:57 decided not to validate for that older controller I suspect there's a reason it
19:00 might have to do with the um because it it's a like it's a power management like
19:05 it's a power delivery Circuit of some sort like it manage it might have
19:10 something to do with the way that the MacBook charges on any of the ports or
19:14 something um or it could have something to do with the fact that I believe it
19:19 also handles USB connectivity and it only handles uh USB 3.1 gen 1 speeds
19:25 like maybe it was like for the most seamless possible experience every
19:28 everything that works in this port is is 10 GB USB 3 or I don't know I'm trying
19:33 to find a reason for them but maybe Phil Schiller will post somewhere he'll talk
19:38 to The Verge and he'll say lonus is an idiot he got it wrong there's a thousand
19:42 reasons why this makes perfect sense but it works in Windows and it doesn't even
19:46 bother to give you an error message in OS 10 so so what this means what I'm
19:50 coming back to is Apple apparently thought it was important enough to put
19:55 on their laptop but didn't think it was important enough for there to actually
20:00 be any Thunderbolt devices that plug into it for like weeks after the
20:06 launch and maybe maybe they weren't wrong
20:13 because I was looking I was actually trying to find some Thunderbolt 3 docs
20:18 because I wanted to do like a Roundup or something on Amazon and that was when I
20:22 realized there was this whole issue because I couldn't find any and what I
20:27 realized was 99% of anything I could possibly want to
20:32 do on a laptop even highspeed external
20:35 storage at 10 gigabit I mean we're talking one Gigabyte per second there's
20:41 nothing 8K red footage doesn't require
20:46 more than one Gigabyte per second to a nice high performance USB type-c SSD
20:53 there's nothing that requires this and why would you want to plug anything into
20:56 it that wasn't first party Macintosh anyways really you came on to the show
21:01 to contribute that why are you even here
21:06 why why even B I'm bringing the hardcore arguments okay so anyway everything else
21:12 so there's uh my my dongle that it's not in my bag because I was actually doing
21:16 something on the the MacBook just a minute ago but I've got a dongle that
21:20 does SD micro SD HDMI three USB 3.0 I
21:24 think it's actually sweet and Power in pass through and I'm sitting here going
21:29 so that's like all the io that I would have already had on like a laptop that
21:34 has IO just like that and I've got and I've got three more yeah plus this
21:38 doesn't even have an SD card reader or Ethernet and I've got three oh yeah it
21:41 has Ethernet too it's a really cool adapter I'm going to have a video coming anyway and I've got three more that I
21:46 can plug in like a type-c to DisplayPort or type-c to another DisplayPort
21:50 bam now I've got dual external monitor I've still got one more so what do I
21:55 actually need Thunderbolt 3 for
21:59 and so I guess Apple kind of had the same thought is like what what is this
22:03 actually for what 99 I would even say
22:07 five% of users are ever going to plug in
22:10 to a MacBook Pro is handled just fine by
22:14 USB so bringing it all the way back to
22:18 AMD's platform not having support for
22:22 Thunderbolt 3 does that matter um
22:27 remains to be seen but I would speculate that it will only
22:31 affect some very very Niche edge cases
22:36 and most people won't care the main one
22:40 for me on a laptop is support for an
22:43 external GPU because I think that's the future as the price comes down for those
22:49 external GPU enclosures I mean alien wees is only a couple hundred bucks and
22:53 get less screwed up lot more reasonable and the intercompatibility
22:59 gets way better that to me is how people are
23:04 going to game in the future um it's just
23:07 like we're not there yet so in total yeah you think everyone's going to be on
23:11 laptops with external gpus I think to to
23:14 make a prediction like everyone will do anything would be shooting myself in the
23:19 Foot Right some large percentage someone's going to find this clip yeah
23:24 maybe even not a large percent percentage of people for a long time cuz
23:27 you got to think about the upgrade cycle right like people aren't going to want
23:31 to just throw out a perfectly functional computer and the rate at which CPU
23:35 performance is increasing there's a lot of very perfectly functional computers
23:40 that are 3 four years old at this point
23:44 but I think and especially looking at uh Sky Lake versus KB Lake the performance
23:48 increase we're seeing even on the laptop side of things I think people are going
23:53 to start to think about in the next two to three years gee this laptop I have is
23:58 like still pretty darn good I just wish I could game on it and those are going
24:03 to get cheaper and they're going to go this makes a ton of sense and people are
24:07 going to start to invest in it and Ed's doing a lot of gaming on his laptop
24:10 already MH so it's an interesting and like with with blades being able to play
24:15 like pretty much kind of everything y it's an interesting
24:19 idea all right so um there you guys have
24:23 it risen or Rising you know what I am
24:27 stubbornly calling it The tight XP forever I think I'm going to stubbornly
24:30 call it risen forever I think I think I'm going to
24:35 commit to that so uh you guys let me know in twitch chat if you uh if you if
24:40 you hate that but uh I don't think any of you will I think you guys are
24:45 probably going to be with me on this one all right what other important
24:50 topics do we have today the iPhone 6s
24:54 reportedly explodes post charging the
24:57 original article here is from yahoo.com that is a super big bummer for
25:02 Nick light who just bought my old iPhone 6s off me what a
25:07 loser and it's
25:11 pink oh I hate that guy
25:14 um so what what do we got in here Apple announced that it will be releasing an
25:18 iOS update next week that will allow them to better diagnose any battery
25:23 issues on December 6th reports of exploding iPhone surfaced in China uh
25:28 you know we do have to of course you
25:33 know take this with a grain of salt because there have been cases of
25:36 exploding iPhones in the past that and
25:40 again I'm making up statistics on the spot but it seems to me that well over
25:45 half of them have been caused by unauthorized thirdparty Chargers that
25:50 were doing a bad job of managing Apple's you know proprietary battery management
25:55 algorithm nonsense so let's kind of keep
25:59 an eye on this but allegedly the Shanghai consumer Council
26:05 has received eight separate reports of iPhones exploding adding that it had
26:10 seen a big Ryzen the number of complaints against iPhones in the past
26:14 two months uh on Friday an iPhone 6s started
26:19 spewing immediately after it was unplugged from charging then went up in Flames I'm assuming smoke is missing
26:24 from that sentence in my notes um Apple blames the problem on ambient air during
26:29 the manufacturing process said the problem is limited to a small number of
26:34 iPhone 6s devices manufactured between September and October
26:42 2015 up FPS not the pink 128 gig
26:47 ones uh moving on to our next topic this was was originally posted by dat speed
26:52 on the Forum Facebook is now partnering with
26:56 fact Checkers to stop fake news the
27:00 original article here is from The
27:04 Verge and uh basically they're they're
27:07 creating some new tools for report reporting hoaxes and um as much as
27:12 they've denied any responsibility for having any kind of effect on the outcome
27:17 of the 2016 US election it seems as
27:21 though internally at least they are taking very seriously what others are
27:26 alleging and that is that they did have an effect so in a nutshell here's what
27:33 they're doing they've got tools that are designed to make it easier to report
27:37 links shared in the news feed as fake news and they're working with four
27:42 independent factchecking organizations to assess the accuracy of viral stories
27:48 Snopes PolitiFact ABC News and fact
27:53 check.org Facebook users who share a story that's been marked as false will
27:58 be warned that independent fact Checkers have disputed its accuracy Facebook will
28:03 use a variety of signals to identify stories that are likely to be false so
28:08 this includes stories that people post but later delete and also includes lots
28:13 of comments about them being fake they will use these and other signals to
28:17 populate a dashboard of dubious stories and factchecking partners will get
28:22 access to the dashboard they will then investigate the article's claims and
28:26 Market as disputed and linked to their their own article debunking it if at
28:30 least two factchecking organizations Mark a story is disputed users will
28:35 begin seeing a banner under the article if it appears in their Newsfeed and
28:39 we've got a picture of what that Banner would look like so here we go let me
28:44 just blow that up for you guys disputed by third-party fact
28:49 Checkers uh what else is going on here yeah uh so Facebook's product management
28:54 lead Adam masseri said they are focusing their efforts on the worst of the worst
28:59 uh clear hoaxes spread by spammers for
29:02 their own gain uh they also said they're
29:06 doing more to eliminate Financial incentives behind fake news so we'll
29:10 also prevent Publishers that use spoof domains like BuzzFeed feed.com or ABC
29:16 newsom.com
29:28 um you know the how do I put this I'm
29:32 trying to stay more apolitical on the show so certain people seem to be
29:40 impervious to here I'll put it in quotes facts
29:46 presented by Outlets that they have been
29:49 convinced somehow um are out to lie to them about
29:55 everything and you know what depending on which way your political
30:00 leanings go you could interpret that from either side so I think I've stayed
30:04 fairly safe here but basically it's a
30:08 it's it's it's a wellestablished phenomena that's going on right now
30:14 phenomenon yeah it's just one um that
30:17 there are these Echo Chambers on the right and the left and that no one seems
30:23 to even even if sort of a an
30:27 untrustworthy news source on one side or the other were to say something that was
30:32 factual there's this inherent distrust
30:35 that exists so I sincerely doubt that
30:41 any kind of warning under a an article
30:45 in a Newsfeed would really do much of
30:48 anything to cause the reader to not
30:52 believe it and if anything I think this is just going to create anger to Awards
30:58 Facebook for being part of the leftwing
31:02 liberal media dishonest whatever um or
31:06 the other side as it were if there are fake stories that uh you know if
31:11 someone's feet is just full of a bunch of stuff that Facebook's flagging as news as or as fake and they trust all
31:17 these news sources I think it's going to create distrust towards Facebook as
31:23 opposed to um the other way around but I
31:26 would love to be wrong about
31:30 this so
31:34 yeah yeah got a lot twitch chat twitch
31:38 chat is um wow twitch chat is not encouraging me
31:43 they are basically um they're basically going yep
31:49 sounds about right people are going to believe what they want to believe so
31:53 there's that um yeah we've got people saying hey
31:57 if it's if it's worthy of being flagged as clearly fake it should be removed but
32:03 then you're going to have you know the the the free spe the people who don't
32:08 quite understand
32:12 um the difference between the right to
32:15 free speech and the right to say whatever you want in a private Forum
32:20 you're going to have those people raising heck and and all that stuff so
32:25 uh this is a great question what about the onion
32:29 um you know W it's a great question like
32:33 I personally probably wouldn't click on
32:37 a satirical news story like something
32:41 that the onion would produce if it was flagged as fake news do they classify
32:47 satire separately could fake news outlets hide
32:52 behind satire these are all great questions and this is a very um this is
32:57 a very this is very challenging water that Facebook is heading into I'm glad
33:01 they're doing something but um I really think they're
33:06 going to have a hard time finding a middle ground that doesn't irk many many
33:10 of their users I mean the good news for Facebook is they're in a position of
33:13 power to do something like this where what else is there they're basically a
33:19 social network Monopoly it's like out of a hundred
33:24 friends you know 10 of them might have WhatsApp three of them might have Google
33:29 Hangouts 15 of them might have Twitter and I'm making up these numbers don't
33:33 quote me on these numbers but like 95 of
33:37 them probably have Facebook even if they
33:40 don't use it super regularly so there you go it's like it's like the modern
33:45 White Pages it's like you probably are
33:48 listed on Facebook unless you like specifically went out of your way to
33:52 contact the white pages and you know get
33:57 your number removed basically like
34:01 that people are like we want
34:04 Luke they want you Luke so that's one
34:08 thing I have in common with our viewers you're just GNA step in and
34:13 contribute something completely worthless to my topic once again yeah
34:17 what are you talking about right now is that what you're up to no I'm not talking about anything I'm not talking
34:20 about anything forget it I'm talking Facebook Facebook is best website can
34:26 you not bump the table and everything over other than linest Tech tips.com
34:30 that has ever been created the best the
34:34 they have the best B also I heard that Colonel mortis made
34:39 Facebook he's the CEO of Facebook that's why lonus Tech tips is the only website
34:43 that's better because he also basically
34:47 runs L all right get okay so speaking of
34:51 the lonus tech tips website being awesome
34:56 um oh well there's a post that I had meant to make on Linus Tech tips.com
35:00 last night and never did um so speaking
35:03 of Linus techtips being awesome this is
35:07 a um is a uh what's it called Shameless
35:12 yes entirely Shameless plug for the
35:16 Forum uh actually Luke I do need your help for a minute I'm logged into my
35:20 admin account is there anything that I'm looking at right now that is
35:24 incriminating not right now okay cool I won't change the page I will do that
35:28 yeah I'm good I'll be good
35:32 um at some point Luke is just going to take away my admin account on the Forum
35:37 I'm sure that it will happen and I'm sure that I will deserve it to have
35:42 happened but basically uh right
35:46 now exclusively for Floatplane club
35:50 members nerd Sports in its entirety we
35:54 bought back the rights when vessel went kaput is up episodes 1 to five

36:31 it's a subscription and you get early access to LTT videos we're building our
36:35 own streaming platform which Luke has been very hard at work on and we've got
36:39 it working up to 1080p streaming that
36:43 users are reporting looks better than YouTube's 1080p we've even had people telling us
36:47 it looks better than their 4K right yeah and we're not done yet by the way shout
36:52 out to Eric and Catman and mortise and everyone else shout out to Eric cat
36:56 boiler Mor y that's fine I got it TR to take away
37:00 the boiler yeah we're trying to get him to change his name like maybe we should
37:04 get like a change.org thing going yeah maybe everyone in chat suggest a new
37:08 name for cat boiler yeah new names for cat boiler that would be amazing I'm not
37:12 to Jake even though he hasn't been on the slack in like a few weeks yeah
37:18 um grass all right thank you thank you everybody else and all the
37:23 pilots anyway good news for everyone who
37:27 doesn't want to join Floatplane club though so while they're all up there so you can binge watch you can also check
37:33 them out on YouTube on the Channel Super Fun Channel starting this weekend so
37:39 we're going to be releasing them uh one per weekend for the next five weeks and
37:44 everyone will have access to nerd Sports
37:48 so we're we're really excited to uh we're really excited to get that going
37:52 wow most of these suggestions from twitch chat are
37:56 terrible like Beyond
37:59 terrible way I need to cat griller Kitty
38:03 boiler dog roaster cat vagina dog
38:06 freezer cow wanker none of those are better yeah none of those are cat
38:12 diddler Grabber uh yeah cat Broiler we got
38:19 slightly different um oh okay oh okay hold on hold on we
38:25 got to take we got to take a short break here while Luke records part of his
38:29 video and what I want you guys doing now because all of your suggestions for cat
38:32 boiler's name are awful they're bad you should feel bad is I want you guys to
38:36 try and figure out what video Luke is filming so I'm just going to be quiet!
38:41 for a moment
38:56 here restarting the computer took forever 2 minutes and 13 seconds to be
39:01 exact to go from clicking the restart button to having Firefox up on the line
39:05 of tech tips page and it didn't really get much better from there lo loading
39:09 foxit took a very long time to the point where I was worried that it wasn't going
39:13 to function at all steam I was actually 100% convinced
39:18 I'm failing on the way
39:23 that's restarting the computer took forever from pressing the restart button
39:28 to having Firefox loaded with the lus Tex homepage on it took 2 minutes and 1
39:33 I could also go all ASMR on this maybe
39:37 we'll do the whole next topic like
39:42 this kch is sinking wages unpaid Talent
39:48 leaving so the original poster for this was Patrick JP 93 on the Forum now there
39:56 have been rumors rling around cry Tech
39:59 makers of Far Cry Crisis crisis 2 Crisis
40:03 3 and cry engine I'm pretty sure they
40:06 did other things too but there's at least that going for them about there
40:10 being all kinds of instability wages unpaid but they've denied it and denied
40:14 it and denied it and uh things had
40:18 actually returned to stability until I'm
40:21 talking about something else get out of here what so things had been financially
40:25 stable at krych until until June of this year around that time krych Frankfurt
40:31 office discovered that they weren't going to be paid on time the upper
40:34 management ensured employees that all financial problems would be worked out
40:38 by August 2016 and that there would be enough money to remain stable for at
40:42 least 18 months payroll was two weeks
40:46 late for July and August September came and payroll was five weeks late wages
40:51 for October and November have yet to be paid December's pay is due in about 3
40:57 weeks time kit Guru reports that their Source says there has been no indication
41:02 of financial issues until June of this
41:05 year uh but those still at the Frankfurt office have submitted a legal letter to
41:10 management informing them that if wages for October November in December aren't
41:14 paid in full by the end of next week they will stop working those at The
41:18 Budapest Studio have apparently already stopped turning up to work the company
41:22 has about 700 employees though it's hard
41:26 to say if they actually have those employees if they aren't
41:30 paying them if I stopped paying you guys would I still have
41:35 you uh I
41:39 mean thanks for that burkel me when I first work was like
41:44 below minimum wage so I that wasn't for lonus Media Group
41:49 lonus Media Group accepts no responsibility for any of
41:55 that all right um oh sponsors I got to
41:59 talk sponsors right now Squarespace Squarespace is the place to go if you
42:05 think that websites are places can a website be a place sort of
42:10 okay on the internet so web space webspace webspace Squarespace is the
42:15 place to go on the internet if you want to build yourself a fantastic looking
42:19 website and do it on the Cheap on the
42:23 easy and on the fast yes my friends
42:26 cheap fast and easy those are definitely
42:30 not the talking points that are in my uh my document here but that's okay
42:35 sometimes I go off script and sometimes I don't get fired Squarespace lets you
42:41 pick from any one of their beautiful templates basically plunk in some text
42:45 and some images rearrange some stuff it's all done through like a Cloud Web
42:49 interface uh you can set up a store you
42:53 can set up like a onepage presence in like a matter of minutes which is your
42:57 favorite way to do logo designer no it's actually not my point is that you canet
43:02 not that you should at lus G Sebastian so his personal account you should flood
43:07 his personal account why are you doing this to me with onepage websites that
43:12 you think are just the best it'll basically be like his great the greatest
43:17 yeah the best websites you have actually
43:21 contributed like in a below zero
43:25 manner to the quality of today's show speaking of which and this is a show
43:30 that had no audio in the intro and Audio
43:33 Only in the Left Channel for the first four minutes speaking of which that is
43:37 where you're at today I think you should do the rest of the sponsor spots ASMR no
43:41 you can't because then that would bring up my audio too and that would suck okay
43:45 I'm waiting I have to do a pickup thing but it's cool I'm here now so
43:49 Squarespace you've got me is available
43:52 to anyone who wants to spend a few bucks a month anybody and have a great website
43:57 and it's got responsive design so it works on your phone your and on your
44:02 laptop consoles and on your yeah I guess there's no reason there's no reason it
44:06 wouldn't probably a Nintendo DS so when you sign up for Squarespace make sure to
44:11 use offer code when to get 10% off your first purchase and if all of you do it
44:17 right now after watching this sponsorship spot then maybe you won't
44:23 have to listen to these Squarespace spots ever again
44:27 because whenever we do them in the future no new people will sign up
44:32 because everyone in our audience will already have a Squarespace website think
44:36 about that for a moment and go sign up for Squarespace today it's a trick I got
44:42 you I got you that's actually how that would work
44:46 though it's like yeah lonus you know I
44:49 mean it's great that you one really good day and now we're just not going to pay
44:54 you anymore yeah cuz you're clearly done y everyone on Earth has a Squarespace
44:59 website now so the gig's up there's no more advertising to be done all right um
45:05 let's move on to iFixit ifixit.com is
45:08 the place to go if you want to repair your electronics phones tablets Allin
45:14 ones monitors even they've got all kinds of amazing quality guides for how to fix
45:21 your stuff getting more life out of it instead of paying someone else to fix it
45:26 or getting rid of it and they've got the allnew iFix it essential Electronics
45:32 tool kit which my personal Vana over here is showing you guys it doesn't have
45:37 all the stuff that their prot Tech tool kit does which I love by the way I love
45:41 Protech tool kit it doesn't have as many bits it doesn't have as many pry tools
45:46 it doesn't have as many you know uh it doesn't oh it doesn't have the new
45:50 screwdriver which really is a lot better than the old screwdriver though the old
45:54 one's like it's not terrible it's just the new one really is a lot better but
45:58 it is a lot cheaper it only costs 20
46:02 bucks and with offer code W show you can
46:05 save five bucks off a purchase of $10 or more so you can get this puppy for 15
46:11 bucks plus shipping and you can start saving money and repairing your old
46:16 stuff today it's got really most of the
46:19 basics that you'll need so your slot your um your Tores and your security
46:25 Tores it's got your Stars so those can
46:28 come in handy it's got a yeah it's got one of the their prying actually a
46:32 handful of their prying guitar picks it's got their suction cup uh that's
46:35 great for removing displays from some more stubborn modern phones really oh
46:41 and it's got their ESD safe tweezers the only one that I ever use really like
46:45 that one so pick one up you won't regret it it actually costs less than dropping
46:50 your phone off in a shop and having someone replace your battery for you to
46:54 just get your own set of tools and pro tip with our offer code which works if
46:58 you spend at least $10 20 I think $20 10 no 10 yeah this is
47:03 $20 if you spend at least $10 you get $5
47:07 off so this is essentially $15 are you being useless on purpose today how is
47:11 that useless I just said that you didn't realize did
47:21 you I fixing kits discounted with our offer code go
47:26 away can do this better myself is there
47:30 another sponsor spot no okay I need you to ASMR fine you got to get real close
47:36 up in there hey I found a guitar pick here's a present thank you no problem
47:41 I'm here for you Western Digital is
47:44 announcing high capacity 12 tbte and 14
47:49 tbte helium filled hard drives the original article here is
47:55 extreme.com and oh I am not in the corner of that anymore but don't worry
48:00 about it this ad's going to go away pretty freaking fantastic so the 12 tbte
48:06 is an eight freaking platter design
48:10 eight platters in there and the 14 tbte
48:14 is a shingled magnetic recording design
48:17 so the 12 TB is going to actually perform significantly
48:21 better but like holy crap I have spent
48:26 some time with seates archive drives which are also shingled magnetic
48:30 recording drives and they're like
48:33 actually not that bad for archival use
48:36 and 14 terab per disc would mean that in
48:41 something like um a storinator 60 I mean
48:45 what does that freaking Math Workout to you'd be able to put so 60 drives 60
48:51 drives you'd be able to put 60 terabytes plus another 40% of that so oh that
48:57 would be another 12 so you'd be able to put 72 freaking terabytes in a single
49:02 storinator
49:06 xl60 unreal I mean never mind it being
49:11 absolutely terrifying that if one of your driv dies like if you are actually
49:16 using these in a desktop that you could lose anywhere from 12 to 14 terabytes of
49:21 data but uh of course that's just the usual very strong argument for not just
49:27 redundancy but backups so there you
49:32 go um yeah I guess that's pretty much all
49:36 there is to say about that Amazon's
49:40 first Prime air can I talk louder Amazon's first Prime air delivery
49:47 has happened it's official it was posted
49:50 by Pig hammer on the Forum the original article here is from kit guru.net and
49:57 here it is it happened December 7th
50:01 2016 fully autonomous hold on let me mute that volume there it's a two-minute
50:05 video so we're not going to watch the whole thing but like blah blah blah
50:09 there's some footage blah blah blah something something Fire TV of course
50:14 they ordered a Fire TV because they wanted one of those and there's a drone
50:19 and there's presumably another drone taking videos of the drones drone while
50:22 you drone so you can drone while you drone fulfilled there it is in the yard
50:28 wow freaking future man freaking future
50:33 I am like super excited about
50:37 this like super excited anyone outside of a fairly dense urban center I'd
50:42 imagine this isn't going to benefit them for quite some time but uh man the idea
50:48 of not just from like a consumer standpoint of it would sure be cool if I
50:54 could order crap under 2 kg crap under 2
50:58 kilog and uh so there's two customers
51:02 taking place in the trial right now due to the fact that they live close enough to the Fulfillment center so as long as
51:07 you live close enough to a fulfillment center and your order is under 2 kilograms I'm super excited to be able
51:13 to receive stuff within like potentially
51:16 hours or even minutes of ordering it because that's like super amazing as a
51:21 consumer but I am also excited from just
51:25 a like an efficiency standpoint I mean
51:30 compared to sending a truck to your
51:33 house to deliver like a pack of
51:36 batteries like think about the
51:41 efficiency of being able to use a little
51:44 electrically powered device to to do the
51:47 last the last mile because there's a huge variety of ways that they could
51:51 deploy this like Amazon could just have a truck kind of drive out to some you
51:57 know intelligently you know determined
52:01 optimized point and you know kind of like in Phantom Menace sorry I shouldn't
52:06 be talking about Phantom Menace we all agreed not to talk about
52:10 that movie I'm sorry anyway like in that
52:14 movie uh where the the droids like slide out of the back of the tank thing and
52:18 they like deploy and then they don't deploy in the air because they're
52:22 walking droids because you know for some reason they thought that would be a good
52:26 idea anyway um there there's there's a
52:29 hundred different ways that they could make it so that delivery to people's
52:33 homes could be less environmentally impactful and just generally more
52:37 efficient than it is today using this
52:40 kind of technology so that is super
52:43 duper exciting um I mean yeah you look at the more
52:49 traditional way of getting goods and it is inherently more efficient than having
52:53 a Distribution Hub and then vehicles
52:56 driving out like a like a a spoken wheel type system out from there to drop off
53:01 to individual customers because you would carry you know pallets at a time
53:06 of stuff like milk for example so while
53:10 yes the consumer is effectively doing the same thing where they are driving
53:14 their individual car to and from like some kind of a of a hub they are picking
53:19 up more than one thing at a time and they're usually like if they're if
53:23 they're clever consumers they're consolidating their trips so the grocery
53:27 store gets a Consolidated large shipment of eggs or milk or whatever the case may
53:32 be and then the consumer comes and buys eggs and milk and you know this weird
53:36 little container in the shape of a Goldfish cracker that fits Goldfish
53:39 crackers in it because his kids wouldn't shut up about it and they wanted it so
53:43 badly and it was only like
53:46 $3 not that I'm speaking about from personal experience on that last
53:51 one all right um twitch introduces
53:57 automod a self-learning moderation tool
54:01 so this was posted on the Forum by novas
54:05 ball in the original article is from kit guru.com and they are going to be using
54:10 machine learning to help police chat
54:13 this has got to be one of the best things that I've seen come out of the
54:18 Amazon acquisition of twitch so far we
54:22 have actually put a fair bit of work into our own moderation bot and it is
54:29 baffling to me that twitch had not invested in this kind of thing before so
54:34 automod will be a chatbot that uses machine learning and natural language
54:39 processing to police chat rooms it is not entirely intended to replace human
54:44 moderators and twitch Line's tagline for the announcement is moderators are the
54:48 sword automod is The Shield which is
54:52 super lame I think that's pretty cool it
54:56 is you know how it
54:59 works you automod works so twitch notes
55:02 that streamers can configure automod by selecting one of four different levels
55:06 so these levels affect how aggressively automod holds back messages under four
55:11 categories identity sexual language
55:15 aggressive speech and profanity when
55:18 automod Flags a message it lets the original sender know that moderators
55:21 will review the message's contents before it sent to chat meanwhile the
55:25 message is shown to mods for approval so
55:28 yes their slogan makes sense it's just
55:32 lame that's all and we can agree to
55:35 disagree on this if you want
55:39 okay speaking of twitch and streaming
55:43 this is kind of a big deal I mean League of Legends is getting reported on in the
55:47 Wall Street Journal League of Legends Esports contests lure newest fan Major
55:52 League Baseball 10 cents Riot games in a $300
55:57 million deal with MLB unit to stream
56:02 competitive video gaming so now Major
56:05 League Baseball and the NBA are getting
56:08 involved in Big League Gaming so bam
56:12 Tech was spun into its own company from Major League Baseball and Disney as well
56:18 as the National Hockey League oh sorry from Major League Baseball Disney as
56:22 well as the National Hockey League own a part of it according to Wall Street
56:26 Journal the agreement calls for bam Tech to pay a minimum 300 million through
56:31 2023 to Riot games in return they'll get exclusive
56:36 rights to stream and monetize the company's popular multiplayer online
56:40 battle arena game bam Tech plans to
56:43 launch a League of Legends streaming service with apps for smartphones PCS
56:46 and other devices they will also handle Distribution on existing streaming
56:50 portals like twitch and YouTube gaming
56:55 wow unreal holy actual freaking
57:00 crap speaking of unreal holy actual freaking crap Microsoft is bring Cortana
57:04 to fridges toasters and thermostats so
57:08 just in case you were thinking that um
57:12 you needed to be able to talk to your
57:16 toaster you will be able to do that soon
57:19 assuming you get some kind of supported
57:23 device though to be perfectly honest and
57:27 I would I would love to hear from you guys in the twitch chat on
57:30 this I have never been compelled to
57:35 replace an appliance for any reason
57:38 other than my old one broke are you guys on the same page with
57:42 me here like is anyone going like yeah I
57:46 like super duper need the what what
57:50 could I possibly want my oven to do
57:53 other than what it does already like 5 years from now what what if you could
57:58 leave a bag of popcorn in your microwave
58:02 before you go to work and then you walk into your door and just say hey
58:08 microwave make that popcorn and it's just ready in in two
58:14 minutes preheating your oven before home
58:17 why would you want to preheat your oven before you're home because when you get
58:20 home and you want to make something your oven's already you still preheat it by
58:24 the time you get home it's already preheated by the time you finished preparing the thing that goes in the
58:28 oven it's already preheated not not if it's a frozen
58:32 pizza yeah boom kind of example that I was you guys
58:38 are giving me so much cancer right now
58:42 um so so okay thermostat fine
58:46 intelligent thermostat sure um but honestly it's
58:52 going to be the same problem as it always is when where like you've got
58:57 your nest thermostat already because you're the kind of tech junkie that buys
59:02 Internet of Things devices you've got your Linus lock which is a thing by the
59:07 way you've got your you know uh
59:11 Samsung Smart fridge that you can bet
59:15 your bottom dollar they're not going to care about putting Cortana on and then
59:19 you've got your Cortana toaster and none of it is going to work together at all
59:25 so it's just stupid and pointless so 5 10
59:31 years from now when everyone gets over their egos and there's actually some
59:36 kind of cohesive ecosystem I'm still calling it The iHome okay where Apple
59:42 just does the whole thing themselves then you'll have my attention but for
59:46 now and like Okay and like when a smart fridge comes out that actually has like
59:51 cameras all over the inside that keeps track of like like not not just cameras
59:57 like it needs to be able to like scan my milk my Milk Carton and know how full it
60:02 is and stuff like when that fridge exists I'm down but until then I super
60:08 don't care and neither do a lot of
60:11 people um all
60:15 right this is great uh so this was originally posted by oh no one on the
60:20 Forum the original article here is from Mac Rumors Apple will apparently charge
60:26 $69 to replace um hold on a second blah blah
60:32 blah blah blah blah blah here we go so battery service will be $49 each on
60:38 airpods out of warranty $69 each and if you lose an airpod they will charge $69
60:44 which is only slightly less than half of
60:48 the price of airpods in the first place if I recall correctly though I haven't
60:52 actually gone and bought them yet and I don't remember because I am an idiot so
60:57 let's go ahead no I don't want apple.ca no one knows Canadian dollars
61:04 so if I talk about things in terms of Canadian dollars I'm just shooting
61:07 myself in the foot I thought they were no they're 159 okay so it's still only a
61:12 little less than half of one
61:16 um yeah what is there to say about it other than that I guess I will be
61:20 reviewing the airpods so they went on
61:23 sale Tuesday Morning uh the earliest I'm able to get them is Sunday Apple stores
61:29 in Canada are going to get them so I'm actually I'm coming in on Sunday
61:33 burkel's coming in on Sunday Tyler's going to be helping us out and we are
61:37 going to be slamming together so I've already got all of my other wireless
61:41 headphones like charged up firmware updated ready to rock I've got the
61:45 braggy dash I've got the uh jbird
61:48 freedoms and then I've got some regular ear pods with the lightning connector
61:53 and I'm going to be whipping together a video for you guys that's going to be
61:56 coming out on Sunday um I can already I've never heard them before but I'm
62:01 pretty sure I can already tell you how it goes um they're expensive they sound
62:06 like okay I guess uh they don't stay in your ears as well as some other
62:11 Solutions and I don't personally feel like the the absence of a cable in
62:15 between them contributes much to the experience but if you want to watch that
62:19 again but longer with Glam footage then Sunday will be the time
62:26 yes sir spefic video on installing Windows a video on installing Windows
62:31 specific one like is there a tech or is there like how install there's an NCIX
62:35 Tech tips so you could do that
62:42 okay all right oh this is exciting posted on the Forum by dat speed LG is
62:48 taking a 4K HDR monitor with USBC to CES
62:54 HDR is is coming finally so AMD has got
62:59 support for HDR I actually don't know
63:02 about NVIDIA's HDR status ASMR time
63:06 again no content you want to ASMR about HD yeah yeah I'm doing it all right
63:10 there's there's like no content um actually my 4K Blu-ray is it worth it
63:15 video is coming to YouTube very soon as well uh should be a really good video if
63:20 you're interested in HDR but um in a
63:23 nutshell um 4K Blu-ray does not run on a PC so there's there's really other than
63:29 content creation I guess there's really not much reason to care about HDR on the
63:34 PC but damn it it's coming and I'm going
63:37 to be trying to get one of these from LG like ASAP because I think it would be
63:42 flipping bananas to have like float
63:46 planing club now with better streaming quality than
63:50 YouTube and with HDR which nobody will be using
63:57 also actually oh this is another very
64:01 important announcement for you guys it's
64:04 official as of today we are going
64:07 red we were looking at our uh looking at
64:10 our accounting books it's almost year end so uh this is the time for us to
64:15 make any kinds of you know key Investments but um we had an internal
64:21 meeting and we kind of went okay we've got some equipment budget
64:25 left over for this year let's talk about some stuff we need to do so we're going
64:29 to be changing up the LTD set and we are
64:32 uh it came up that a big mission for us
64:36 is to have float playing Club streaming quality be better than any other
64:42 streaming video quality on the web and we kind of went
64:46 okay how are we going to achieve that shooting on a Sony
64:51 fs5 so sometime in mid January our order
64:55 will arrive we will be getting two red
64:59 cameras a red weapon with 8K sensor and
65:03 a Red Epic w we are going to be getting new lenses and we are going to be going
65:09 fullon sharpest possible image quality
65:14 so uh get excited guys we've got um we
65:18 used to kind of keep up with the rat race that is the whole like you know
65:25 let's be the first ones to 4K and let's get an external recorder and let's do
65:29 this and let's do that but we'd allowed oursel to fall behind a little bit and
65:34 we are not going to let that happen anymore we are moving
65:39 into a red ecosystem so uh stay tuned
65:43 for that guys it is going to be a bit of a learning curve for us but it is going
65:47 to result in some seriously sharp looking
65:52 videos all right
65:56 is there much else that's important here saw F
65:59 theow oh he's still
66:02 going so the Microsoft Surface Hub was originally posted by Al 2000 on the
66:08 Forum the original article here is from RS Technica let's go ahead and pop that
66:13 up but the surprise Hardware hit the
66:17 surface Hub apparently the conference
66:20 room computer is now a billion dooll business business
66:25 are you freaking kidding me I saw this thing and I went wow that's a really
66:30 cool proof of concept that's pretty neat
66:33 I didn't think they'd actually sell that many of them it went on sale earlier
66:38 this year so the conference Grom computer uh it's so the surface range of
66:42 touchscreen computers is getting a whole lot bigger the surface Hub is it's like
66:47 an all-in-one system so it has one note Skype for business office and Universal
66:52 Windows apps and it puts it in the conference room it's a single integrated device
66:56 they first showed it off in January um it includes dual 1080p
67:01 cameras for video conferencing they run a special version of Windows 10 uh the
67:06 big one supports an 84 in 120 HZ 3840 X
67:09 2160 screen packs a fourth generation Intel Core i7 paired with an NVIDIA
67:14 Quadro k2200 graphics card and the smaller one is 55 in 120 HZ 1080p uses a
67:20 core I 5 they've both got 128 gig SSD
67:23 it's eight gigs of RAM they don't just replace a whiteboard but a projector as
67:27 well and both of them work as mircast receivers and have HDMI and VGA inputs
67:32 as well so tell me something do you guys
67:36 want to see a review of a surface Hub
67:39 like we looked at it we went oh sure that's kind of neat but like we never
67:44 even thought to request one and we've
67:47 actually got a surface Studio One of only what is it four in the country two
67:51 I think two in the country and Luke's working on a review of that right now
67:57 and uh he well not like right now right
68:00 now he's doing it right now I'm on I'm on W show but soon and maybe a great
68:05 followup to that would be the surface Hub yes so thanks for tuning in to the W
68:08 show you guys uh we will see you next
68:12 one quick thing before we go did you see that no we're not talking about nostalrius it was in last week's W show
68:17 oh no no that's not till this weekend so we'll talk about that next week um did
68:21 you see the the gift thing and the and the and the quickie episode thing no I
68:27 didn't okay it's it's short it's short I don't know where it is just look for
68:31 GIF Quicky what is this to the the yes
68:34 okay yeah so just watch the GIF it's it's wonderful watch watch it with the
68:38 stream uh yes okay okay uh so here you
68:43 go let's go Linus's
68:47 screen ATM yeah yeah okay what is this
68:53 do you see what just happened what wait what
68:57 we'll let it play through again I I want to like gifts sometimes you need another
69:02 take so see the screen and everything see how it goes up yeah see it
69:07 again yeah so you know how in this Tech
69:11 cookie that I linked here we talk about chip cards and the security that comes
69:15 with chip cards and the idea that someone might put a cover on the card
69:21 reader that skims your card when it goes
69:24 through I pretty sure I hosted that one
69:27 who the hell installed that and in this
69:30 situation they went even more hardcore
69:33 and installed like essentially an entire ATM on top of
69:40 the one that was there how would anybody not
69:45 notice I'm assuming that looks like some crazy like foam seal thing at the top
69:51 what the hell so they must have just walked in and just
69:57 unbelievable isn't that crazy
70:03 yeah all right so thanks for watching guys we'll see you again next week same
70:07 bat Time same bat
70:10 Channel boink there's no music in this one it's
70:14 not playing back MP4s properly for some reason so this is like
70:18 anov no that's not the music you're doing it wrong no no everything you do
70:24 today is wrong
70:29 everything everything at least I finished that video I fix it only like
70:34 super late but I did it oh boy
