0:00 this actually isn't the first time that cassio has sponsored us we did a couple
0:04 spots for their protrac wsdf20 last year
0:08 and i put it on for the photos and then
0:11 basically just never took it off
0:15 so if you were just here for the answer to the question in the title
0:19 i guess that's it the casio pro track wsd f20 if you want to find out exactly
0:25 what it is that i like about it then you can stick around for a little while
0:38 by cassio's own account the wsd-f20a
0:42 which is blue rather than orange like my old
0:45 one is made for people who sound absolutely nothing like me
0:50 it's got a ton of features that are designed for
0:53 outdoorsy folks like built-in gps including glonass and michi beaky
0:58 support it's got an altimeter an atmospheric pressure sensor a built-in
1:03 tide graph and fishing time calculator and the ability to see your location on
1:09 your watch either in near real time or at six minute intervals on a full color
1:13 map with topography and other notable locations marked
1:17 so i guess that's the deal with the 400
1:20 price tag compared to other rugged outdoor products it's actually not even
1:24 outlandishly expensive and it does reasonably well as a as a rugged item
1:30 with rated water resistance down to 50 meters temperature resistance down to
1:35 minus 10 degrees celsius and a mil standard 810g design of course
1:42 i've never used any of that stuff so the reasons why i like it uh number
1:48 one i actually get a lot of compliments on the look even though i've never
1:52 really done a big watch before and i have kind of small arms and kind of
1:57 small hands but people seem to like it number two
2:01 compared to other watches that i've owned it's held up really well to
2:04 everyday wear and tear it still looks basically like the day i got it and if
2:09 you compare that to my poor huawei watch or worse yet that ASUS zen watch that i
2:14 accidentally took scuba diving you'll see why exactly that would be an
2:18 accomplishment number three the battery life is fantastic
2:22 since it's got a big battery designed for using features like gps and i never
2:27 use them so you can actually expect as little as eight hours if you're updating
2:32 your location every second but you'll get one day with more reasonable gps
2:38 update times and i get two so that's tremendous
2:42 and number four this was actually the thing that really
2:46 sold me on it i am a very forgetful person and i don't always remember to
2:52 plug in the magnetic charger every couple of days or
2:56 pack it with me when i'm traveling and so whenever
2:59 i forget the wsdf20 has two stacked lcd
3:05 displays it's got a full color one that has all the Android wear nonsense on it
3:10 so you got your play store and all this kind of stuff and then there is actually
3:14 a second monochrome display and you're gonna
3:18 you're gonna see the the lit one is going to go away in a second here that's
3:22 just a normal watch display that way if your battery does run out you can still
3:27 tell the time and it lasts for about a week from my experience in this mode so
3:32 that's pretty much it all i could really come up with was telling you guys about
3:35 my experience using this thing for the last six months and you can check out
3:40 more details about the casio pro trek smart at the link in the video
3:44 description so thanks for watching guys if you disliked this video you can hit that
