0:00 so we've got a really cool product with us today this is the XFX 850 W Black
0:05 Edition power supply I can't actually see the writing here it's like really
0:08 cool the way they've done the Box anyway this is a modular 80 plus silver NVIDIA
0:14 SLI certified power supply and it is XFX
0:17 is first power supply ever so we're going to start with uh getting it out of
0:21 the sleeving here should I yeah there we
0:25 go take the sleeve off so then the way they've packaged it is actually uh kind
0:29 of kind of unique here it's a two-part box so we're pulling out pull out the
0:35 tab there and you can pull it out from the other side so there's the unit
0:38 itself I love the way it's uh presented here but we'll get to that in a minute
0:42 after I show you all the juicy accessories uh if I can get it
0:47 open uh yeah there we go so you pull out the tab this way using the Little Hook
0:52 open it up and then in here we will find
0:56 a baggie with all of our modular cables I'm presuming okay so inside the one
1:01 side we've got what do we have here okay
1:04 so we've got a Molex to two floppy
1:07 adapter then we've got a lot of okay 1 2
1:11 three so four modular SATA cables with uh two to three cables or two to three
1:16 connectors per cable and then in the other side I guess this is where we're
1:20 going to find uh yep so here we've got
1:24 one 6 plus 2 pin PCI Express and then
1:27 we've got uh probably another one I assuming on yeah there we go another 6
1:32 plus 2 pin PCI Express and then three Molex cables so that's it for our
1:36 modular cables now let's get got a conveyor belt here so we can move that
1:40 along now let's get the power supply itself open here's our user guide so
1:46 here you can see that they tell you some of the key features including that this
1:49 power supply uses a single powerful 12vt
1:53 rail as opposed to multi a multi-rail design so here we're going to get this
1:59 box yeah so here we found find the power cord and this is like a super beefy
2:03 thick power cord it's like yeah really thick and then we've got four mounting
2:08 screws for the power supply let's put that
2:11 aside and last but not least we have the
2:14 Black Edition 850 watt itself and this is a sharp looking unit so you can see
2:20 you've got 135 mm fan it's like a a
2:23 glowy sort of green color and then let's have a look at the uh I guess we'll show
2:28 the side and then the back back of the unit itself so that's where you've got
2:31 like an XFX logo there's your power button there's your uh power plug input
2:38 and then on the other side you can see that's oh here I'm going to flip this
2:41 around you can see all the info about the power supply itself again another
2:45 label there's your ad80 plus logo and then the top is just a plain black and
2:50 then here is your modular interface more XFX logos they've really dress this up
2:54 actually quite a lot so this is where you plug in your 2 PCI Express and
2:58 here's where you can choose to plug in Molex or SATA connectors as you see fit
3:03 now a lot of modular power supplies these days have some native connectors
3:07 cuz they figure well you're not running your system without these things anyway
3:11 so we might as well just attach them so here we've got our 24 pin connector nice
3:16 long cable on that as well should work really well in a bottom mounted power
3:20 supply case uh here we've got two 6 plus
3:24 two pin connectors so up to four total
3:28 and then oh this is really cool so you've got two EPS 8 Pin connectors so a
3:33 4 plus 4 and an 8 Pin that means you can run boards like the p55 classified that
3:38 we already unboxed natively with just this power supply unit so anyway thank
3:42 you for checking out my video blog on the XFX 850w power supply
