0:00 - The Fractal Meshify 2 C is or it might not be the best computer case
0:05 but it's easily top three for sure. And if building in it is easy today
0:09 then like top one or two, probably.
0:13 It's freaking sweet, it looks awesome and it should keep your components cool.
0:17 What's not to like? Come on.
0:20 Meshify 2 Compact user's guide. Yeah that's a fine looking PC right there.
0:26 One of the big things over the last one was before in order to like get that the dust filter in here,
0:33 it was a terrible time. Now what to do you just pull on that logo right there
0:38 and boom, dust filter.
0:41 Oh, oh okay. This comes off.
0:44 You just pull it a bit and boom. Okay, very easy access to the dust filter.
0:50 Okay, the top filter is not magnetic, which I actually like I find those always get kind of like misplaced
0:56 and I believe it's totally toolless. Woo, yeah. So that just comes right off.
1:02 Let's put that back on for now. Rear I think is also toolless
1:08 This is gonna be so easy here today.
1:11 I really like this design in the front. For IO you get two USB 3, headphone, microphone
1:18 and new for this one is the type C up here as well,
1:21 maybe around. Yeah, it's a computer case.
1:25 There you go. Let's start building. I want to do it. I've selected components that are according to the side
1:31 of the box will fit, but very close to not fitting.
1:34 I believe you can take off the top as well. Yeah, this just.
1:40 Heck yeah. This is going to be such an easy build.
1:44 Accessories, all look pretty standard.
1:48 If you look on the bottom here as well, it's the filter. You just pull from the front, bring it out like that.
1:53 Super easy to clean. I am going to remove the hard drive trays just
1:57 to get the PSU in and then we'll have to put them back on.
2:01 Oh, there's a first kind of stupid thing. The foot interferes with where the hard drive tray's
2:06 screw is.
2:11 Okay, we'll just move it up as far as we can go for now.
2:15 This also has the power supply, a removable thing,
2:19 which makes getting your power supply in so much easier.
2:23 Today we're going with the Seasonic Prime TX 1000.
2:27 I don't have any good reason besides this is a really thick power supply.
2:30 That's kind of the long and short of it right there.
2:34 It smells good too. Those power supplies should just go in,
2:40 doing it this way makes your life so much easier than trying to like get all the cables in afterwards
2:46 once it's inside.
2:49 I do really like that they already have some straps here for your CPU power.
2:53 So today for a CPU, we're going with a 10900K,
2:57 it's hot. But most importantly it was
3:01 at my desk and I already had built this computer. So we don't have to worry about it not working or anything.
3:07 I also have two sticks of RAM for 16 gigabytes in total.
3:10 And there's already an SSD in here. I think that's a 970 Evo.
3:15 Oh, this is so nice with the top gone.
3:18 I did make what could have been quite a bad mistake
3:21 right there, because I totally forgot to add in the cooler mounting but this case does have the big old hole
3:28 in the back so I'll be able to access that when the time comes in a couple of minutes.
3:32 Building PCU is so easy now. Yeah, back in my day, you had to get a bunch
3:38 of cuts from the unfinished edges on your steel case.
3:42 It should be noted that they give you exactly how many screws you need to attach the motherboard
3:48 and the power supplies. So don't drop them on the floor. You guys get a bit of a bonus here on ShortCircuit 8
3:54 two unboxings in one. This is the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280.
4:00 And as far as I can tell, it's pretty fricking sweet. According to Gamers Nexus the performance on this
4:06 thing's really good. But at the same time Arctic's performance has been quite
4:10 good for a while now. My concern is more so just the mounting.
4:17 Oh geez. She's a bit big. Well, this is gonna be fun.
4:20 One silly thing about this is they have a little fan up
4:24 here. That's supposed to cool down your VRMs.
4:27 I feel like it's not gonna be useful for almost everyone.
4:31 It's left from that, I think it looks pretty cool. Huge of MX for here.
4:38 Well I still have easy. Ooh, okay.
4:41 If you're building in this case, you should not
4:44 install your AIO before you put power to everything.
4:49 I would do that last. For a GPU we're going to be using the AORUS RTX Xtreme
4:56 10 Gigabyte. It's a 3080, and it is fricking huge.
5:01 I think we have just a couple of millimeters of clearance.
5:04 Nice, no problems there.
5:08 Oh geez. This is a very big cooler for this,
5:15 but it should be fine. So this is where taking the top out is pretty fantastic
5:19 'cause now we can drop this down in here.
5:24 Oh, maybe.
5:28 It does say up to 240 on the top. - [Jono] Are those 280s?
5:32 - This is the 280? Okay. Doesn't fit, not even close.
5:36 So long Arctic you sent us a cooler
5:39 and that actually was really easy to put in but the one that you sent us is too big.
5:44 All right, moving on to my favorite cooler in the world the NHD 15, it's big, it looks sick,
5:50 it cools your stuff really well. No complaints.
5:53 It's what I use my personal rig. Again I know I've said this like 10 times
5:58 but this would be terrible if the top was still on.
6:03 Oh, do you think that I can get in the fan for the CPU cooler without removing the GPU?
6:08 It is right up against the cooler.
6:11 I'm going to use this hook. It's in the iFixit kit, maybe.
6:17 Hell yeah. Did it. Wow, we almost have a computer.
6:21 So let's get the cables in here.
6:24 Oh man, we just got so lucky. So on a lot of motherboards, it is possible
6:29 that the USB headers will be down
6:33 under where the graphics card is right now. And I totally forgot to connect them.
6:38 But on this one, they're just up here above the GPU.
6:41 So we're good. Now it does seem like there's no fan hub included with this.
6:47 The original one, I think only had one, 120 millimeter fan up in the front.
6:52 This one you get the two 140s and also a 120 in the back.
6:57 So that's way more cooling for your components out of the box.
7:01 Like when you're buying a case in this price range, this one's $110
7:05 the old one was 90. You're probably not going to want to spend like 50 bucks
7:10 on sick knock to a fans. So it's really nice that they have these pretty
7:14 good ones here stock. For storage. I'm going with a 12 terabytes, Seagate Exos.
7:20 It's overkill for pretty much anything.
7:24 The only reason that I have it is because it just arrived in the office.
7:27 And it's the first hard drive that I saw when I went looking for them.
7:31 It's got the cage here. Is it only one screw?
7:34 Nice, and then this I believe just goes right
7:38 on like that. The hard drive just slides right back in there
7:42 like that. No, it was very easy. Now we do want to reattach the hard drive cage.
7:48 I feel like kind of no matter what you want to move it as far forward, as you can,
7:53 just to give yourself more space for all the cables. Hey Jono, how much effort should we put into
8:01 cleaning up the back of this case? [Jono] Zero.
8:04 - Zero? What about you put on a timer for two
8:07 and a half minutes and whatever we can achieve in that amount of time is how good the back's gonna be.
8:13 Timer for two and a half minutes. Speed cable management, yeah.
8:17 This straps are not as good as I originally thought 'cause you can't really tighten them down,
8:21 but at the same time, way better than no straps at all.
8:25 Oh, balls. All right, screw it we're just bundling it.
8:29 Minute 30. Oh balls, It's cramming time now
8:33 - [Jono] 4, 3, 2, 1.
8:38 - For 10 minutes and 30 seconds. I think that's a really clean backside of your case.
8:44 Now the one big thing that you don't get with this case
8:47 is RGB. There's basically.
8:51 Yeah, there's none. There's just no RGB at all. You can put the top on now
8:59 Back panel.
9:04 This I think came off the bottom.
9:08 Yep. Are we done? I think we're done, hour and a half?
9:14 Not too bad. Especially given that
9:18 we probably could have saved nearly half an hour if we didn't bother with the air cooler there.
9:21 That was especially for the size of this case
9:25 an exceptionally easy little PC build.
9:29 I don't know about you guys but I think that this is a fantastic looking rig.
9:33 I really like this case. Its biggest competitor is easily the O11-Dynamic-mini
9:37 but the reason why I'm more inclined to recommend this one
9:40 is because this takes a full ATX power supply
9:44 the O11-mini you have to use an SFX L so
9:47 that gets really expensive really fast. If you're trying to put like a thousand watt
9:51 or like anything about 600 Watts in it.
9:57 Heck yeah. Well, there we go.
10:00 The Meshify 2 Compact is a fricking awesome little case.
10:07 And I think if you're looking for a case and like, you know
10:11 about $110, you really can't go wrong with this thing.
10:16 Hit, like get subscribed, have a great old day.
10:20 See ya.
