right guys we're here at the EVGA Booth with an pretty interesting motherboard
0:16
this is their x99 micro which we may or may not have at the office already I'm
0:20
not sure what type of things there are covering that so I'm going to say may or
0:24
may not this board is fairly interesting they have a nice little cover over their
0:28
IO which is compris of 6 USB 2.0 ports a
0:32
clear seos button in between the USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 Ethernet and
0:37
audio jacks I'm actually happy that there's a whole bunch of USB 2.0 and I
0:41
know a few people are going to look at me kind of weird for that but it's
0:44
really nice because compatibility for USB 3.0 honestly isn't that great so
0:49
when I'm setting up a computer I like having at least three cuz then I have
0:52
USB uh like a general USB stick keyboard and mouse at the very least so it's
0:56
actually nice to see quite a few of those looking at the board itself we
0:59
have a CPU power at the top two fans a clear
1:03
seam Lo button power reset some sort of I'm assuming voltage checkout point a
1:09
post LED uh Power for the motherboard as a whole six SATA ports USB 2.0 uh front
1:15
panel connectors USB 3.0 another chassis fan another chassis fan spit if out and
1:21
your audio in right there for Lanes
1:24
we've got a PCIe uh x16 slot and I
1:28
believe an X8 and another x16 it's 1668
1:31
sorry for that we have an M2 socket right kind of in between your 16 and
1:35
your 16 right in there in the middle and then you have four RAM slots in total
1:40
for this board it's really interesting because it's a micro board this socket
1:44
is freaking huge if you haven't noticed that yet so it's pretty cool that they
1:48
were actually able to fit it on a micro board I know I was just talking to them they said they wanted to be able to fit
1:52
it on an ITX board so they can fit it in one of their cases but as of right now
1:56
maybe not so much because of how freaking massive that socket actually is
2:00
all right guys now we're moving on to the x99 for the win jumping into IO for
2:04
this one again a nice little metal cover which will make it look really sweet
2:07
it's not super different from the past one uh another six USB 2.0 ports another
2:11
clear seamos button dual Ethernet uh four USB 3.0 and then your standard
2:16
audio jack so that's actually pretty much the same jumping up at the top we
2:19
have another fan header on the left hand side we have your CPU power another fan
2:24
header another fan header power reset buttons I believe a voltage checkpoint
2:28
like I said before and then you have a right right angled uh normal 24 pin
2:32
power for your motherboard which is really cool that that's right angled not
2:35
all cases but a lot of cases we able to take really really good advantage of
2:39
that so I'm happy to see that a right angled fan Port again super cool a whole
2:44
ton of SATA ports 2 4 6 8 10 SATA ports
2:48
which is impressive another fan slot under that your front IO ports uh your
2:52
front IO headers sorry USB 3.0 USB 2.0
2:55
another right angle fan header uh an
2:58
onboard speaker which actually the smaller one had as well which is pretty cool another right angle fan header so
3:03
you can plug not only a crap ton of fans into this thing but a lot of them are going to be right angle and then you
3:08
have power for your uh expansion card Lanes which is cool to see if you're
3:12
going to be running a massive amount of graphics cards but I don't expect a ton
3:16
of you to do that but it's still pretty cool so it's not required to plug that in just so you guys know and then you
3:20
also have your sped if out and uh audio
3:23
jacks right there this one instead of having four RAM slots actually has eight
3:27
RAM slots and then yet again it just has that massive massive socket all right
3:31
guys now this is the x99 classified I'm mainly just going to be covering
3:34
differences the io's the same this plate Shield here is the same same amount of
3:38
RAM slots but one thing that they told me about is that there is more gold
3:41
content in the actual socket than in their other two boards which is pretty
3:45
interesting I'm not going to be able to test anything like that or anything on the boards because this is just kind of
3:50
a visual overview as we don't actually have this in the office maybe people get
3:53
this in the office later and be able to talk about the finer details later on
3:57
other than that it's pretty similar except that there are two m two sockets
4:00
we have an extended M2 socket down here and then we have this is a keym socket
4:05
and then we have a key e socket here for another M2 card just not quite as long
4:09
there's dual CPU power instead of single dpu CPU power like on the previous one
4:13
you still the right angle uh 24 pin same amount of SATA slots all that kind of
4:18
stuff one thing that I didn't talk about on the previous board was its Lanes so
4:21
you've got a 16x an 8X another 8X a 16x
4:24
a 4X and another 8X that is a crap ton of lanes but kind of actually what I was
4:29
expecting from this board so it's pretty cool to see all right guys thank you for
