0:00 many things have been changing in the world of multiple graphics cards but the
0:03 pursuit of higher and smoother frame rates is not one of them if you thought
0:08 the performance of 1 1080 on its own was pretty insane this may actually admit
0:13 you the cards we will be featuring for this performance testing will be dual
0:18 EVGA GTX 1080 superclocked edition cards
0:21 hell yeah
0:31 Intel skull Canyon knock features a sixth generation core i7 processor and
0:35 Thunderbolt 3 learn more at the link in the video description let's start off
0:38 with the cards shall we the cooler design is identical to the 1070
0:42 superclocked that we checked out from EVGA not that long ago check out that
0:46 video up here I'm not personally a fan
0:50 of the overabundance of massive text logos but others in the office are
0:55 totally a fan and as it's an aesthetic thing you're free to pick your poison I
1:00 will admit that outside of the logos I really like the overall style and would
1:05 say that it suits modern computer components as a whole quite well if
1:09 you're going for a cohesive component design specs wise it features a stock 5+
1:14 one powerphase design a single 8 Pin power connector 217 watts of max power
1:19 draw and a boost clock of 1847 MHz which
1:23 surpasses the founders edition's clock speed of
1:27 1733 in terms of connectivity it features a a single HDMI 2.0 connector
1:31 three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors for 4K at 120 HZ or 8K at 60 HZ and a dual link
1:38 DVID connector but enough of that put down thine simple specs and release The
1:43 Benchmark results in all their lustrous Glory okay okay whoa there calm calm
1:49 down uh when linked together by the annoyingly expensive but rather
1:52 attractive EVGA high bandwidth SLI Bridge with all of its RGB LED Glory the
1:58 results are rather fantastic oh and by the way you can turn off the lights on
2:03 the little thing by just moving the switch just between two of the colors
2:07 and leaving it there it just kind of doesn't shine at that point the direct
2:10 X11 performance in Tomb Raider and Crisis 3 scaled rather well considering
2:15 the intensity of our settings putting everything above the highest available
2:19 preset when possible and running everything at 4K yes you can run really
2:25 intensely hard to run games at 4K with
2:28 Max settings and Achieve High higher than 60 FPS on average that happened
2:33 hell yeah I'm so jacked up right now but there are issues with this as you
2:38 probably expected so before I get too excited we have to remember that this is
2:43 a multiple GPU config that we're talking about and it will inherently have issues
2:48 like in Hitman where it barely scaled at all and created massive frame rate drops
2:54 and stutters there's an unofficial fix through NVIDIA inspector but it's
2:58 definitely not perfect perfect either and has a number of its own issues then
3:02 there was running directx12 benchmarks which just didn't scale because well
3:08 they couldn't the whole abstraction layer that is required from Microsoft
3:12 before all that fancy new stuff I mentioned in this WTF is going on with
3:16 SLI video which you should really go watch totally isn't ready as of making
3:22 this video anyways uh another really
3:26 interesting tidbit has to do with the aformentioned SLI Bridge what if you
3:31 don't want to buy an expensive SLI bridge and want to use one of the old
3:35 original solid Bridges or even the ribbon cable Bridges well we do have
3:40 this infographic but are there any actual performance differences Yes
3:45 actually and in exactly the order you would expect which is rather satisfying
3:50 the ribbon cable performs the worst the old solid bridge is slightly better and
3:54 the new fancy high bandwidth Bridge wins hrah and by a noticeable amount my I add
4:00 an exactly 2fps Delta is nothing to
4:03 scoff at it may not be worth the price to you but it's something to consider as
4:07 you may find it offers an aesthetic Improvement as well moving on we have
4:11 the power draw and even with two damn cards running in Crisis 3 the whole
4:16 bench only pulled 437 Watts from the wall while the first card ran at 81° and
4:21 the second card ran at 73° which is pretty cool and to be fair though that
4:26 was on an open test PCH impressive overall today we're highlighting the
4:30 k7xx black headphones of course from
4:33 Mast drop it still has a bunch of other cool products which you can check out on
4:37 the link in the video description and hopefully you guys already know about Mast drop they're the company where a
4:43 bunch of people buy something all at once which makes the price go down the
4:47 more and more people commit to buying it the ones we're showcasing in this video
4:50 are the same as the ones that L reviewed last year and you can check out that
4:54 full review up in the video up here do remember that this is a limited drop so
4:58 if you want to pair you're going to have to act pretty fast these headphones have
5:02 large cushiony ear cups a flat wire voice coil ver motion two-layer
5:07 diaphragm genuine leather headband memory foam ear pads and vure covering
5:13 they have a 2-year warranty covered by mast drop and you can order them outside of the US but a $25 fee will be assessed
5:19 for all International orders so if you want to check them out and grab a pair
5:23 head over to the link in the video description down below all right guys thanks for watching if you like the
5:27 video like it if you dislike the video disliked it don't forget to get
5:30 subscribed or check out the link to the where to buy the stuff we featured in
5:34 this video like these wonderful graphics cards on Amazon in the video description
5:39 also linked in the description is our merch store which has cool shirts and to
5:43 our community Forum which you should totally join so you can discuss stuff
5:46 like SLI problems that you will inevitably have if you have multiple
5:49 cards or the awesome performance in like the two games that you can actually get
5:54 it working in anyways check out this video I mentioned it earlier in the
5:58 video but it's the WT f is going on with SLI thing really interesting subject and
6:02 I suggest you check it out
