0:00 a backpack really Linus a razor backpack do they even make backpacks is this
0:05 video even gonna be good these are all great questions but if i didn't think it
0:09 was going to be good would i make a video about it
0:14 this graphics card for 80 dollars makes absolutely no sense and nobody should
0:18 buy it a product that sucks and is cheap this magnetic box is really nice it
0:23 probably costs about as much to make as the headphones themselves inside you get
0:27 some stickers a certificate of gullibility or excuse me sorry i screwed
0:31 that up paying 200 for half baked products like nemo wow a
0:36 whole three pack for only 20 however will you make a profit on that
0:40 or is it the worst kind of snake oil nonsense that i've seen in quite some
0:44 time better than useless fry the existing logo off go to town with a
0:48 reinforced cutting disc i think it's safe to call this an instant masterpiece
0:53 500 to maintain seven days of recorded video a product that is supposed to
0:58 reduce bulk has me carrying fuel cells a
1:01 reactor a recharge station and then something to power the recharge station
1:06 with brilliant anyway
1:09 never mind that actually uh let's just get started
1:20 Intel's new 750 series ssds utilize the NVMe standard providing speeds never
1:26 seen before on consumer storage drives click my face or this bag to learn more
1:32 all right so it's not often that we tackle the backpack category and every
1:36 time we do i like to think that there's some kind of a fresh
1:40 reason for it there was the one with an integrated battery bank the one with a
1:44 pelican grade laptop compartment and before that a couple of averkey bags
1:48 that were just plain great value for the dollar but today's video is not about
1:52 any of those things at 160 the razer
1:56 tactical bag is not going to win any performance per dollar awards especially
2:01 when you consider that the primary performance metric for a bag is
2:05 literally just carrying stuff so we could pretty easily create something
2:08 with a better price to performance ratio
2:11 but the reason i'm making this video is because whatever you guys might think
2:15 about this fact as Linus it's pretty darn easy for me to get a keeper unit of
2:21 any product i want from a high margin category like backpacks and for eight
2:26 years i have faithfully stood by my Windows vista ogio bag due to its
2:31 quality comfort timeless style and did i
2:34 mention quality that thing has been a tank and i had no intention of replacing
2:39 it until it just kind of happened by accident when i booked my dinner with
2:42 min tan from razer in march he congratulated me on my new blade 14 and
2:47 asked me if i had one of their backpacks to go with it to which i replied no
2:52 and before i could say and i'm really not interested in one
2:56 since that's just another stupid thing to carry all over asia with me for the
2:59 next two and a half weeks he said oh okay cool i'll bring one to dinner for
3:03 you so he handed it to me when i arrived and it was actually kind of love at
3:07 first sight i moved all my gear over and haven't looked back for a moment so then
3:11 what's so special about it frankly not that much it's just a really
3:16 well executed bag with lots of versatile pockets and rugged enough construction
3:21 that it looks like it'll last me another 10 years or more just like my ogio not
3:26 to mention it's much more comfortable than my old bag so let's take a tour of
3:30 it shall we all backpacks start for me
3:33 at the contact point with your back and the tactical bag excels here it's
3:38 designed to be worn properly it features a chest strap that makes you look like a
3:42 dorcas but is totally worth it when you have a lot of weight in your bag and
3:46 with the shoulder straps snug but not tight and restrictive there are decent
3:51 pads positioned on either side of my spine and in the small of my back i
3:56 think i'd pay an extra 10 bucks for these to be a denser foam but solid
4:00 placement of it made this backpack comfortable even during long days
4:05 walking around bird sanctuary zoos and the like in asia the same can be said of
4:10 the padding on the shoulder straps i do wish it was thicker but the
4:13 functionality of it is still a strong point moving around to the side we've
4:17 got a buckle whose purpose is unclear and a large side pocket that i generally
4:22 use for stuff i don't want to get lost in the main compartment but that i don't
4:26 really need to get to all the time like my toiletries and medications while
4:30 traveling a great feature of these is that even though they're held down by
4:34 velcro nature's untimely point of
4:37 failure you can optionally run a strap through the cover to lock it in place
4:42 on the bottom is a rain cover that thanks to the water resistance of the
4:46 bag's ballistic nylon construction you'll only need in very wet conditions
4:51 then at the front there's this whoa that's a lot of velcro isn't it this
4:55 velcro loop system allows any front mounted pockets to be modularly
4:59 rearranged and allows you to put the included razor stickers on it wherever
5:03 you want or more importantly allows you to just take them right off
5:08 if you don't need quite as many logos all over your backpack these pockets are
5:13 the perfect size for a mouse which is nice but i think razer missed an
5:17 opportunity to put a clever water bottle holder here
5:21 next we'll open up the organizer compartment by opening the two really
5:25 nice smooth feeling zippers to reveal a scratch proof tablet pouch and four main
5:30 organization zones one is for business cards or other little random things i
5:35 wish these were deeper by the way then below that is a neoprene pocket that's
5:39 perfect for my 10 000 milliamp hour battery bank and a couple of dedicated
5:43 usb drive holders on the other side is a mesh pocket random stuff you need easily
5:49 goes here and then below that a similar pocket but with a zipper this time for
5:54 sd cards small adapters and other stuff that you really don't want to be fishing
5:58 around for when you need them razer missed the boat on not including
6:02 anywhere to put a writing implement but the good news is the rest of the bottom
6:07 of this pouch is big enough that i can easily throw all my mini screwdrivers in
6:10 and a pen if i so desire the top pouches
6:14 are accessed by undoing the clips that hold down the zipper cover and inside
6:18 the main compartment you'll find not a whole heck of a lot there's a
6:22 protective divider in here that'll allow books or documents to be stored safely a
6:26 little loop at the top for hanging something and then once you remove the
6:30 for most people bulky and not super useful headphone container thing it's
6:36 just straight up cargo space exactly the way i like it which leads us finally to
6:40 the last pouch for your laptop or notebook it can hold up to a 17.3 inch
6:46 monstrosity features a little bit of padding at the bottom but other than
6:49 that no extra gimmicks just a laptop pouch which is surprising because i
6:54 would have expected no offense someone like razer to try and have some of those
6:58 geek backpack features like headphone wiring cable management holes and stuff
7:04 like that but instead they stuck with a practical no-nonsense design as though
7:09 the person in charge of the product has actually had the experience of ripping
7:14 their earbuds out when they forgot they had their discman cable managed in their
7:18 backpack in high school not that i speak from experience
7:22 speaking of speaking i'm speaking to you now about ting.com they're the mobile
7:27 carrier that is focused on customer service and customer satisfaction first
7:31 whoa you call them and you don't speak to a
7:34 robot you speak directly to a person whoa
7:37 you pay only for what you use and that's at a reasonable rate the average ting
7:42 bill is only 24 dollars a month per device
7:46 and if you're stuck in a contract and switch to ting they will cover 25 of
7:50 your cancellation fee up to 75 bucks so head over to ting.com and try out their
7:54 savings calculator to find out how much you'll save and when you sign up at our
7:59 link in the video description by the way you'll also get twenty five dollars in
8:03 service credit or twenty five dollars towards a new device whoa
8:07 i wonder if they're gonna adopt that as their new slogan ting.com
8:10 probably not anyway that's the razer tactical bag did
