0:00 today we're going to be doing an unboxing of the Intel Core i7 2600k now
0:05 this is at the time of filming the highest end Intel Core i7 processor on
0:11 the LGA 1155 platform so I'm going to tell you what it has going for it in
0:16 relation to the other core i7s on the LGA 1155 look look at the thing on the
0:23 LGA 1155 socket as soon as I escape over
0:27 here to go show you all of the other Intel core i7 products that I have to
0:32 unbox before this day is through okay so
0:36 here is the 2600k it is a quad core just
0:39 like all of the others here now here are the advantages it has over the other
0:43 products it has an8m cache okay just
0:46 like the other 2600 that is an i7 but the i5s only have a six Meg cache okay
0:53 it has turbo mode which all of these processors do they all have turbo boost
0:59 but the i3s do not it has hyperthreading
1:04 which the i5s do not so both the 2600 K
1:07 and the 2600 have hyperthreading and then the 2600k also is unlocked so that
1:13 means that you can overclock it as high as possible with a p67 or z68
1:20 motherboard using multiplier adjustments to turn up the clock speed and there are
1:26 no limits so here I guess they're going to say pretty pretty much everything I
1:30 just said it also includes the HD graphics 3000 engine has smart cache
1:35 technology integrated memory controller which we know supports dual Channel DDR3
1:39 and it has a three-year limited warranty like pretty much every Intel processor
1:44 in the last little while so these are the code named Sandy Bridge family of
1:47 processors and this one comes clocked at
1:50 3.4 GHz by default but that's kind of deceptive because turbo mode which works
1:56 on every motherboard will actually turn
2:00 up the clock speed of this processor up to four speed bins higher than that that
2:05 is up to 3.8
2:08 GHz if you are using a single threaded
2:12 application pretty cool huh okay so
2:15 Inside the Box we find new eco-friendly cardboard packaging from Intel the first
2:20 thing we see is a stock heat sink which looks exactly the same as the stock heat
2:25 sinks we found on the LGA 1156 family of processors because it is the same it
2:30 uses the same mounting hle same fan same heat sink design and ooh a copper slug
2:34 in the middle very nice and then once I figure out how on
2:39 Earth to open this aha there we go Darth Vader mask style of opening I can dig it
2:46 so this is the 2600k itself as I mentioned before this is a fully fledged
2:51 Intel sandybridge 1155 chip that means
2:54 it has turbo tech turbo turbo boost
2:57 technology it has hyperthreading technology it is clocked the highest out
3:01 of all of the LGA 1155 Core Series
3:06 processors and it is fully unlocked for maximum overclocking now it looks very
3:11 similar to an 1156 CPU but the difference is that these Keys here these
3:16 notches in the side are positioned differently so that you cannot
3:19 accidentally install it in an LGA 1155
3:23 motherboard so thank you for checking out my unboxing and overview of the
3:28 i72600k and don't forget subscribe to lonus techtips for more unboxings
3:32 reviews and other technology videos also
3:35 check out on my ncixcom channel the overclocking guide for this particular
3:40 CPU and I will try to remember to put in an annotation with the link to that but
3:44 if not then someone please leave a comment so people can find it
