0:02 well I can only hope this is working because honestly it's been of a bit of a
0:06 been a bit of a challenge to set up tonight uh I had to move locations and
0:10 I've completely changed the way that I'm doing the whole live capture thing so
0:16 traditionally I mean I can't really call it traditional if I've only really been
0:20 doing this for a month but traditionally I've been using a shuttle PC actually
0:24 I'm going to go I'm going to go find it because I'm like super mad at this
0:28 computer right now not impressed at all
0:32 so I have been using sorry for the
0:36 noise this shuttle PC this is a
0:40 uh uh oh some phones going off right
0:43 here this one so this is a z68 shuttle
0:47 PC it's got dual PCI Express slots so
0:51 it's got a 16x and a 4X so I was like oh this is brilliant so I can just make
0:56 like a like a dual HDMI capture PC and
0:59 then and like it'll be awesome because it'll be super portable and like awesome
1:04 and stuff and what ended up happening is
1:07 with my black magic intensity Pro HDMI capture cards uh yeah it was it was
1:12 causing blue screens it was causing just general incompatibility like I would I
1:18 would know that I had the settings right
1:22 and then it just wouldn't work at all and it ended up that the problem was
1:27 actually the just some kind of maybe a PCIe timing incompatibility or something
1:33 like that and it just did not work so
1:36 what I did was I threw the two capture cards into a
1:42 different motherboard in this case it's an ap8 z77 V premium and everything is
1:47 working 100% fine and I really hope that
1:51 this stream is working this is my first time checking on Twitch to make sure
1:54 it's actually going and it looks like it is so yay excellent um um crank up the
2:01 volume crank up the volume is is that a consensus crank up the volume and yes
2:06 I'm sorry I'm late guys I'm very sorry I
2:09 yeah was having some trouble that was
2:13 not good okay some people are saying volume is good some people are saying
2:18 volume is low so I'm going to go ahead
2:22 and turn it up a little bit I'm just going to turn up a little bit turn up a
2:26 little bit okay just a little bit I'm just going to go over here I'm adjust
2:30 the camera audio level here we go let's
2:33 turn it up that much
2:37 okay all right so I'm going to try talking again how's that sound to you
2:41 guys do we good we good all right yes I
2:45 know there's an echo you know what too bad there's nothing I can do I'll all my
2:51 ears people are either saying bad okay you know what forget it you guys I'm leaving it the way it is just turn your
2:55 volume down it's really hard um
3:01 what was I saying right yes I know the echo is terrible I'm 100% aware of that
3:07 trust me the reason that the echo is terrible is that the room I'm in has
3:14 okay you know I'm just going to I'm just going to go over to the camera here I'm going to show you guys the room I'm in
3:18 and hopefully I'll be able to actually fix the here I'm just going to change
3:22 the camera completely to auto mode because I know nothing of how cameras
3:28 work I can't I can't even I can't even find the I can't even find
3:31 the auto mode button yeah there it is camera auto mode okay so I'm going to
3:37 show you guys the room that I'm in I'm actually going to turn this way so this
3:41 is a bare wall this is a hardwood floor these
3:46 things are bad for Echo very bad that's
3:51 my drying machine and that's my cat carrier Rumble had to go to the vet
3:55 today he's been throwing up so uh that's not good here's like video setion
4:03 um here's my light here is the room that's on the
4:07 other side of the camera so if you guys have watched any of my recent videos you
4:11 may recognize you know this table and uh
4:15 there's always gear sort of lying around here this table and this fireplace and
4:21 uh
4:25 um couches so yeah see these though bare
4:28 walls and see that looks like a carpet but ah
4:34 more hardwood flooring so the problem with hardwood flooring is that it is
4:38 very terrible for Echo so I had a lot of people suggest in the video that I uh
4:45 that I uploaded before with uh with the with the new set that I wear a lapel mic
4:51 and what those people apparently didn't seem to notice is that I was wearing a
4:57 LEL mic so while I appreciate the
5:00 suggestion hold on I'm just going to get the Focus right here while I appreciate
5:04 the suggestion um what they should have noticed in all the high defa Glory that
5:09 was the uh the new style video setup I had a lapel mic on my shirt so the lapel
5:15 mic does address the issue of
5:18 the uh of the sort of the echo because
5:22 it's it's not a shotgun mic that's so far away from me but it does not address
5:27 the problem where if I'm turning to one side or turning to the other side the
5:31 volume changes up and down so what I
5:35 really want to do is get a boom mic set up so that it can sit kind of just out
5:39 of the shot right here so I can use a shotgun mic that's very close to me but
5:44 then not have to worry about uh about
5:48 which direction I'm facing exactly in order to get some kind of
5:52 even lighting or even lighting even
5:55 microphone sound going on sorry guys it has actually been the longest week ever
6:01 and hopefully at some point I'll be able to share with you guys exactly exactly
6:06 what was going on but uh yes it's been very very tough um people are asking for
6:11 the warehouse sale preview so the only the only thing I can think of right now
6:17 is that if I were to upload the warehouse sale preview then um I'm just
6:24 a little bit concerned that it will affect the
6:28 streaming here that's going on so why
6:31 don't we just try it and see what happens so the warehouse sale preview is
6:35 just on my SD card here you guys can you guys can come along for the ride if you
6:39 want see this is my new way of switching between camera views see I can switch
6:43 here so you can see I'm going to go into my SD card and I'm going to upload this
6:50 and you guys are going to have to let me know in the twitch chat hopefully if
6:54 that just has totally destroyed the uh the
6:57 streaming are we still good good are we still
7:01 good okay sweet looks like no one's
7:05 complaining yet so NCIX October 20th
7:09 Warehouse sale
7:12 Extravaganza see this is this is how I upload videos it's uh it's actually not
7:17 not rocket science this whole YouTube thing you just got to sort of keep added
7:21 and make lots and lots and lots of videos so
7:26 visit this link for more W I spelled it
7:30 wrong for more details so I actually had a guest filmed
7:36 the the warehouse sale preview uh if you
7:39 guys aren't familiar with what the warehouse sale is the warehouse sale
7:42 basically refers to um once every
7:46 quarter or so trying to switch there we go once every quarter or so NC takes all
7:52 the open box stuff and hopefully this gives you guys some idea what happens to
7:56 some of the open box stuff that that I open up so they take all the open box
8:01 stuff put it all into like a big room and then um sell it for like half price
8:06 so people line up all night in fact I was there at 700 p.m. I was at the
8:11 office today and people were already
8:14 lined up for the warehouse sale which starts tomorrow morning so people get
8:18 super super excited about all this stuff
8:22 uh people are asking how long the live stream is for the live stream is going
8:25 to be until about 10:30 my time so it'll
8:28 be about an hour and a half so far why
8:32 don't we take some time and do some do some Twitter questions so I'm not sure
8:36 how well this is going to work tonight because I'm oh this is this is going to
8:40 be this is going to be a problem okay you know what we're going to have to do
8:44 is we're going to have to rely on Twitter on this screen here because
8:48 because I'm using two computers to
8:51 capture as opposed to how I'm normally using a single computer to capture and
8:56 use Twitter so see I I'm using this laptop for my own you um I I could not
9:02 figure out a way like you can use xsplit to capture a portion of the
9:08 screen on the computer that you're actually using but you cannot use xsplit
9:14 to capture a portion of the screen uh or
9:17 a portion of a video in stream if you guys understand what I mean because I'm
9:21 I'm using HTMI out on this notebook into
9:25 a capture card on the computer over there and then what I would want to do
9:29 is take the Twitter portion here which
9:33 you guys can see on the right and then draw a box around that and make it so
9:37 that I can overlay that on top of me sitting here and talking sort of like
9:41 this except that that Twitter feed right there is actually on the computer over
9:45 there which means I actually can't read it from here nor can I control it unless
9:49 I had a wireless keyboard M you know what a better solution might actually be
9:53 instead of using a laptop here just get a wireless wireless keyboard and mouse
9:58 and a and a Monitor and sit here like that so that I can uh and then I'll just
10:02 clone the displays and then I'll be able to monitor things more more closely I
10:06 think that'll be a better solution in future but we're learning things every
10:09 week and at least we've got the awesome new camera to use I actually haven't
10:12 done any fine tuning with the lights today I think I look a little bit washed out but I've got diesel coming over this
10:18 weekend and he's going to be giving me a big hand uh with all of the well fact
10:24 that I don't know how to use a camera and he'll be he'll be getting everything
10:28 all fixed everything you guys saw shot already so all of the uh all of like the
10:33 new set new set stuff so here let's just
10:36 go back to the YouTubes oh that's what happens if you
10:40 spell YouTube wrong all right then I'm
10:44 lucky I didn't end up with like a porn website because I think that this live
10:47 stream is supposed to stay pretty uh pretty familyfriendly so if you guys
10:52 haven't already seen any of the new set footage yes I know it's not really my
10:58 style and I know it's like kind of a little bit too professional
11:02 for for a lot of the viewers tastes but
11:05 um it's something that I that I do have to do for a variety of reasons which
11:10 will become more clear later and uh it's something
11:14 that yeah wow that just looks kind of that looks kind of terrible I'm going to
11:18 have to start wearing makeup which is which is sort of brutal it's something
11:21 that I do want to continue to work on but I need a Diesel's help in order to
11:26 get the production values right and in order to just kind of make it better in
11:30 general uh we didn't have nearly as much time as I would have liked to spend on
11:34 that Galaxy Note 10.1 video but what I'm going to try and do is play around with
11:39 it a little bit this week and I've actually got something really cool you
11:43 guys you guys might even you guys might even really like this check this out so
11:47 here's the power adapter super small power
11:50 adapter this is what I'll be playing around with this weekend this notebook
11:55 carrying case is the ultimate accessory for your notebook you should buy no I'm
12:00 just kidding you shouldn't buy one today um what I do have though is a Windows 8
12:05 touchscreen notebook from Samsung this is a series 5 so what that means is that
12:10 once you boot it up and hopefully the boot up time you know what let's find
12:13 out how quick the boot up time is because that's one of the big things about Windows 8 is dramatically improved
12:18 boot up times let's see if we can like see the camera through the screen oh is
12:23 it done already oh it wants me to activate Windows okay go to PC settings
12:28 and then maybe I'll just go away from PC settings haha then I can just use it so
12:32 this is the not Metro interface that's how quickly Windows 8 boots up this is a
12:36 multi-touch touchscreen notebook one of the things I've noticed about it already
12:41 and I'm a little bit disappointed in is the viewing angle so what I find is that
12:46 really expensive touchscreen interfaces like the ones Apple uses like the ones
12:50 that ASUS uses on their very high-end uh products still have phenomenal viewing
12:55 angles so you can be looking at it from like you know here I'll hold up to the
12:58 camera you be looking at it from like this angle and you'll still be able to
13:02 make everything out really well it's like an IPS panel and the the touch
13:05 screen doesn't obscure it but what I've noticed about this one is whether it's
13:10 due to the fact that it's a TN panel or whether it's due to the touchscreen
13:13 interface watch watch what happens with the uh watch what happens with the
13:17 viewing angle here as I tilt it up so you see you actually don't have to get
13:20 that low and the image almost disappears entirely all the color washes out of it
13:24 uh from the top down is is not nearly as is not nearly as noticeable from the
13:29 sides you lose all the color but the image stays clear either way I'm mostly
13:33 just excited about the idea of sort of having the option of using a keyboard
13:37 and a touchscreen at the same time I did an NCI Tech tips about this whole sort
13:42 of touchscreen keyboard hybrid thing
13:46 that's going on and I'm actually not sure if that one's uploaded yet let's
13:51 have a let's have a quick look here uh yeah Windows 8 gestures guide and then I
13:55 also did I also did another one so NC Windows
13:59 so here I'm showing sort of how to how the experience is going to go this one's
14:03 really old uh Windows 8 ah yes this one
14:08 now I can't say that I'm entirely sold
14:12 like I like I've been playing around with it a fair bit this one was uploaded
14:16 on September 21st so I've been I've been tinkering with this for over a month and
14:21 while I am sold on the idea of touchcreen with Windows 8 and uh and
14:27 having a keyboard handy what I like and I don't know if you guys can see my
14:30 mouse pointer here I'm just going to turn the quality down so that uh so that
14:33 doesn't kill the bandwidth here but I don't know if you guys can see my mouse pointer here but you see the keyboard
14:37 okay so the keyboard has a certain sort of okay let's just find a shot that we
14:44 can just pause okay so the keyboard has a certain distance from the monitor you
14:49 never have unlike with a laptop you never have a monitor right like right up
14:54 against your keyboard no one no one uses a computer like that I mean here I'll
14:58 point you at this one to show you sort of this is what I consider to be a more
15:03 oh you know what you're not really even going to be able to see that but whatever there's there's a there's a
15:06 keyboard there and there's a monitor sort of there but whatever don't worry about it
15:11 um so that's what I consider to be more normal plus when you're sitting at a
15:16 desk when you're you know desktop
15:19 experience kind of computer usage
15:22 model you typically have some room between the desk and yourself so what I
15:28 discovered playing around with the touchcreen monitor is that I actually
15:31 end up far enough away that it's not really comfortable so it's very
15:36 comfortable to use a device with your ARM like think of think of the ergonomics of it so you got your ARM
15:40 kind of bent kind of like this so you got that sort of 100° 110° angle and
15:46 that's how you would typically use a touchscreen device if you're extending
15:50 any further than that to reach the monitor then you're going to have a lot
15:55 more fatigue I mean it's like Leverage right the further out the weight is from
15:59 your shoulder joint and your elbow the more pressure there's going to be on it
16:02 so if you're like this it's very comfortable if you're like this it's
16:05 actually quite uncomfortable so with a notebook experience I think this is a
16:10 lot more exciting because here I'm going to kind of put this no I can't quite do
16:13 that okay I'm going to put this here because with the notebook experience you're sitting this far away from it
16:17 which means I can reach it with what I'd consider to be that optimal ARM Bend
16:22 without it being uncomfortable so I'm
16:26 not I mean yeah no one knows knows what the future holds in terms of Windows 8
16:31 and the adoption rate and what it's going to mean to to to everyone but I
16:36 can tell you guys I have already found myself once in a while sort of reaching
16:42 towards the screen of my computer and realizing it's not a touchcreen because
16:46 I'm so used to using a smartphone and a tablet people are asking for Q&A so I
16:51 think it's time to do some Q&A here let's go ahead and switch to the Twitter
16:57 feed which
17:00 come on really really for crying out loud okay Twitter
17:07 here we go guys one new tweet really that can't be right am I not signed in
17:12 oh I'm not signed in well that won't work lonus Tech and what is my
17:21 password let's hope that's it and that is apparently not it which
17:28 which is sort of bizarre because I changed it like 2 minutes ago because I
17:34 wasn't able to sign in and I'm very very
17:38 sure that that's the correct password so
17:41 uh you guys are going to have to I'm sorry but you're going to have to bear with me here for a second while I reset
17:46 my password which is
17:53 ridiculous oh brilliant apparent okay there we go I was like oh my goodness
17:57 this is this total disaster fter because I couldn't even switch back to my uh I
18:01 couldn't even switch back to my regular feed here it really has not been it has not
18:07 been my week I've slept very little and it's been very very challenging I mean
18:13 yeah I'm sure you guys have uh I'm sure you guys have definitely definitely had
18:19 weeks like that
18:24 before uhhuh okay now they're going to
18:27 send me a message if apparently at least I hope
18:32 so cuz I'd love to do some Q&A right now
18:35 cuz that's sort of usually pretty simple
18:38 to do now I'm just stalling for time I had
18:43 people asking about my shirt before they think it's an everyday I'm shuffling
18:46 shirt but actually it's a badminton joke
18:50 and the badminton joke is everyday I'm shuttling see so it's like uh badminton
18:56 shuttles and then he's holding a badminton rack it so it's slightly
19:00 different but it's just a bit of a it's a bit of a joke based on the uh the
19:04 Party Rock Anthem song that it's pretty
19:07 good if you're into that sort of thing
19:32 no no it's really really really not
19:36 going to let me in to Twitter right now which is um phenomenally frustrating so
19:41 it's asking me to enter my phone number oh hold on this is this is not good this
19:47 is not good so here this see this is
19:50 this this is this is how it's supposed to work I'm supposed to type my username
19:54 and click submit and ah there we go this time it worked awesome so we'll be live
19:59 in just a moment with more Q&A let me see if there's oh oh oh we're good we're
20:03 good here we go here we
20:07 go and we are done so I am very sure
20:13 that I am entering the password that I think I'm entering this time and if it
20:17 manages to not accept this password again I'm going to be very very
20:22 disappointed all right connect time for
20:26 tweets can you tell us all what laptop that is
20:31 and what's inside it actually I have no
20:34 idea what is inside this laptop right
20:37 now at this moment I uh I do know that it's a Samsung laptop it's a series 5 it
20:42 comes with Windows 8 it has okay this is
20:46 driving me absolutely crazy the range isn't quite right on this stupid uh
20:49 Bluetooth thing it has um something yeah
20:53 it's a series 5 it has USB 3 I mean it's
20:57 pretty similar to the existing Series 5 which is the n something 540u and then
21:01 this is the NT 540u which is touch funny story though is this notebook actually
21:06 has an enormous scratch down the back panel you see that because Samsung's
21:10 been taking it around to a wide variety of trade shows so what I actually had to
21:14 do in order to shoot my video showcase of the notebook and have it not look
21:18 phenomenally stupid is I grabbed a uh I grabbed a 540 U and then I'm going to go
21:23 ahead and I'm going to pretend that the back of that notebook is the back of
21:28 this notebook book and then the front of this notebook is the is the the back of
21:31 the other one so that's uh that's my little trick the kinds of things that go
21:35 on behind the scenes right uh here so let's switch back to
21:39 the Twitter feed what video card manufacturer would
21:43 you say is best for a novice well whether you're a novice or an
21:47 experienced whatever it is that you are so maybe you mean you're a novice buyer
21:51 novice gamer I don't know doesn't matter video card manufacturer is just whoever
21:55 manufactures your video card so guys like EVGA Seuss MSI uh these are all
22:01 very good choices XFX if I had to pick sort of my top four those would be them
22:05 it's very hard to go wrong with any of those guys at all make the best gaming
22:10 PC under 600 bucks
22:14 um really guys I get a lot of questions
22:17 um about what is sort of the best option for a PC for a given price range and
22:22 what I usually end I mean honestly guys I get literally hundreds of messages
22:26 every day and people are often asking asking me sort of long complicated
22:30 questions I don't have time and it's
22:33 really not that hard to find out what's a good option for a pre-built
22:38 PC really really let's go come on there you
22:43 go because you guys as you probably know I work at NCIX so you click buy a PC you
22:49 click gaming okay you want $600 you go
22:53 to Value gaming you find a computer that's
22:56 $600 that was probably configured by crazy Russian so there you go core I3
23:01 GTX 650 OC 4 gigs DDR3 memory 500 gig
23:04 hard drive Windows Home Premium you want to spend a little okay don't get that
23:07 one that one sucks but uh yeah there you go besta I3 3010 what I would probably
23:12 do is I would consider changing that GeForce card over to something like a
23:16 7770 i' find it to be a little bit of a better value or spend a little bit more
23:20 and get a 650 TI but uh yeah I mean when
23:24 it comes to choosing a configuration find a configuration
23:28 um send it to me and I will happily go through it and make any suggestions but
23:32 I can't take questions like lonus what's the best gaming PC for 1,400 uh Great
23:38 Britain pounds and I'm just kind of like okay well a I don't work in that
23:41 frequency I have no freaking idea how much things cost and then B it's like
23:46 well do a little bit of the leg work put together something you think is right
23:50 send it over to me and I'll say things like oh spend more on the video card
23:54 maybe drop down the CPU uh get a better power supply and that case is way too
23:59 expensive for the other components you're buying dump that back into
24:02 getting more performance and then grab an SSD or something along those lines
24:06 I'll give you an idea of how to tweak the machine in order to get the best
24:09 value out of it sunny asks what do I
24:12 think about Intel's Haswell architecture how much of an performance increase
24:15 should we expect over Ivy Bridge um
24:19 right now I can't think anything about Haswell because Haswell is not out right
24:23 now so there's not a whole lot for me to say I mean it's Intel so my expect is
24:29 pretty solid it's going to be I I believe this is is this a talk or a tick
24:35 can't remember but this is an actual architectural shift whereas Ivy Bridge
24:39 was just a process shrink so it's
24:42 probably going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 to 20% performance
24:46 Improvement and uh that's that's sort
24:49 that's sort of it it's pretty much always like that and then AMD will fall
24:53 even further behind which for those of us who who really enjoyed the Athlon 64
24:58 era when AMD basically revolutionized the whole
25:02 gig um it's sort of sort of
25:06 saddening NVIDIA 650 TI or radon 7770 I
25:10 don't game a lot I just want something better than my Xbox um personally I'd
25:13 probably go 650 TI out of those two um I do I do find the NVIDIA experience a
25:19 little bit better for certain things if you did want to go multim monitor then
25:22 I'd go AMD however if you're going to go multim monitor then the 7770 is the
25:26 wrong choice anyway because it's way underpowered for a multim monitor
25:31 setup okay ah Donnie says how are you liking
25:37 your German car why did you choose a Volkswagen over another Honda good
25:41 question I did not um my wife's car is
25:44 the Volkswagen Rabbit and my car is the Honda Civic the only reason that we've
25:49 switched Vehicles is because her car is a twoo and mine's a four-door and
25:53 because she's on maternity leave with the baby she's usually the one driving
25:58 in places which means it's a lot more convenient to load the car seat into the
26:02 back seat of a car that is a four-door as opposed to a twodo it's uh you're not
26:07 allowed to put baby car seats in the front seat at least here in Canada
26:11 anyway due to the regulations and laws and whatnot so um so that's that's why
26:16 we that's why we ended up going that route um so she's going to want her car
26:19 back at some point Shane ask are you going to do an
26:23 unboxing of the new AMD pile driver chips when they come out what do you think of them I actually have all
26:28 already done more than an unboxing slicks run a whole bunch of benchmarks
26:32 and whatnot and we've got performance numbers against the previous generation
26:36 AMD chips and that's all going to go up on the ncixcom channel on launch day
26:40 which is sometime next week if I recall correctly um this this this is this is a
26:45 great question Francesco asks is that a Playboy mouse
26:50 pad to which I would answer yes indeed it is this is a funk pad this is an 1030
26:56 archetype this thing is is one of a kind
27:00 as far as I know because funk's whole thing Funk was actually a local
27:03 Vancouver company their entire manufacturing was like down the street
27:07 from NC and this was something that was produced as a oneoff for a former
27:12 employee of NC he had the uh he had The
27:15 Misfortune to leave it in my sight for long enough that I managed to snag it
27:20 actually he he uh he moved he moved to our Ontario Office and left it behind in
27:24 his BC office which I inherited so I totally snagged the the one-of aind
27:29 unique Playboy mouse pad for myself it's actually an excellent mouse pad too
27:33 that's the difference between This and like most promotional mouse pads which
27:36 are usually crap because any kind of a
27:39 graphic on a mouse pad unless it's a really good surface is just going to
27:45 destroy the tracking I mean I love a
27:48 cool looking mouse pad with a great picture on it as much as the next guy
27:51 but unless they do a perfect job of the
27:54 surface itself it's going to every time you cross one of those light to dark
27:59 barriers pretty much no matter how good your mouse is it is going to jump or
28:03 skip or pause or something bad something bad will happen a great example of this
28:09 is the uh the game pads that Intel was giving away with one of their recent
28:13 promotions so I'll uh I'll see if I oh I gone full screen I'll see if I can find
28:17 these game pads cuz they're cool they're really big and okay Intel Intel Gamepad
28:26 they're really big they look um
28:30 hm Intel
28:34 pad oh that's sort of bizarre Mouse oh
28:39 okay whatever I can't find it but uh they're really cool they're huge and
28:43 they had this great graphic of like some guy who's like and and they're they're
28:48 fantastic but you couldn't they could they tracked for crap and I couldn't
28:51 even use them unfortunately but uh an example of someone who does do it right
28:55 would be steel Series so most of their pads that I've had experience with
28:59 anyway with complicated graphics on them such as the uh what's that badass Dragon
29:05 Warcraft I don't know some Dragon was on the front of some mouse pad it tracked
29:09 great and like their Diablo 3 qck also is fantastic so uh they they do a pretty
29:15 good job of that as well let's have a look at some more tweets shout out to Scottish people okay you bet family
29:20 friendly yes I'm family friendly what do you think this is um the mouse I'm using
29:25 right now is not a g600 I'm actually not
29:28 not quite sure what to think of the g600 I spent a little bit of time with it
29:31 when I first got it and what I noticed is that it doesn't it doesn't feel quite
29:37 as Twitchy responsive as my G9 really
29:40 like the G9 really like the aari laser I really like the razor Naga although the
29:45 ergonomics aren't great for me but the sensor feels really good feels really
29:49 tight um really responsive whereas with the with the g600 I don't know what it
29:53 is it's very accurate like I can decide where I want the pointer to be I can
29:57 move and it's there but it just feels like it took a little bit longer and no
30:01 amount of tinkering with the DPI or installing the drivers or playing around
30:04 with it really fixed it for me it's just a personal preference thing I'm very
30:08 picky about mice so um so yeah no I'm
30:11 I'm not using the g600 although I was playing around with it yesterday but I
30:16 it hasn't it hasn't managed to make its way onto my actual onto my actual system
30:21 desk although my actual system is in so many pieces right now that check this
30:25 out I actually have pieces of my desktop machine right here right here for your
30:31 uh for your enjoyment and taunting during this very live stream see these
30:36 are these are my boot drives and then
30:40 uh these are the rest of my boot drives so if you guys don't already know I have
30:44 an 8 drive raid zero for my uh for my boot drive on my desktop machine so
30:49 that's a total of just shy of a terabyte of SSD storage I have them all in raid
30:53 zero I know that seems unwise but I'm doing nightly backups and I also don't
30:59 really keep anything of value on my computer U all of my storage is actually
31:03 done through through Windows Home Server so all I do is I just access over the
31:09 network everything that I could possibly need I have a gigabit Network in my home
31:13 so it's not like it's any slower than a mechanical hard drive I mean think about
31:17 this for a second guys gigabit is basically for sort of stupid math 1110th
31:22 um is around 100 megabytes per second so what that means is that a hard
31:28 drive which is capable of okay sustained maybe a little higher maybe 160 180
31:33 megabytes per second and that's an internal hard drive so on the other end
31:38 of that gigabit pip I have an enormous raid six hooked up to a very fancy RAID
31:42 controller card that is actually going to give better responsiveness than a
31:46 single internal hard drive even though the Max B bandwidth is a little bit
31:49 lower so for me browsing files on my network storage and I know people seem
31:54 to kind of get bored when I um
31:58 when I talk a lot about network storage and whatnot um but you know what guys it
32:03 is so awesome I mean it's totally responsive I can go into any archive
32:09 unboxings and I can just play things over the network just like this it does
32:14 not take any longer than it does if I'm storing the files locally also it
32:18 prevents me from running into situations where I have multiple copies of my files
32:23 all over my house and I'm and I'm duplicating what I would otherwise be
32:27 able to store in all one place so people
32:30 are people are bored bored ywn bored lus
32:34 go on Twitter that's that's what the twitch chat is saying so you you you got
32:39 you guys are you guys are killing me here fine I'll do more Twitter
32:43 questions so why would you would you use an amd10 5800 I would use an i53570 out
32:50 of all of those options for a computer that is going to use to fix photos for
32:54 eBay that's the only use for this computer I I would use a sempron um I
33:00 wouldn't I'd try not to overthink it too
33:04 much okay any good mice that are
33:07 left-handed or can be used left-handed that you know of yeah steel Series has a
33:11 couple good ones the Sensei is probably the best option for an ambidextrous
33:15 mouse that has a fantastic sensor good software and let's move along to the
33:20 next Twitter question no I haven't had a chance to use the Phoenix Nita
33:25 Mouse haven't used the razor roros either I haven't even heard of that have
33:31 big hands like small mice live on Vancouver Island so Staples is the only
33:35 real testing place for mice best smaller Mouse if I was buying a smaller Mouse
33:41 today you know what the G9 is really not
33:44 that big so that might be an option for you if you take a lot of the weight out
33:48 of it it has the removable uh removable weight cartridges inside so I don't know
33:52 if you guys have used a G9 before but once you take the once you take the
33:56 outer the outer shell it actually comes with a smaller outer shell as well but
34:00 then you can actually take out the the weight cartridge and it's it's really
34:04 not that heavy it's super heavy once you put all the weights on it but that might
34:07 be a good option for you other than that if you play any MMOs or if you would
34:11 have any reason to use the macro Keys uh
34:14 razor Naga is an excellent NOS I really really like
34:18 it uh okay so let's scroll down a little
34:22 bit uh here's a good question so can you
34:25 explain raid I would love to explain expl raid for you here's how I'm going
34:28 to do it youtube.com let's see let's let's
34:33 actually you know what that let's try RAID hard drive or something like that
34:37 let's try a keyword that might work because raid's going to have lots of other stuff oh I failed okay let's try
34:42 raid lus really oh it brings up a bunch of
34:47 Linux search instead for raid Linus come on you can do it there we go see raid
34:51 zero and raid one setup guide preview of a raid build um ssds and raid think
34:57 there's another one that I did on raid five and six there it is raid five and
35:01 RAID 10 tutorial okay apparently I didn't cover raid six but yes I have
35:05 covered explaining raid in pretty good depth on a number of occasions so you
35:10 definitely want to check out those videos but in summary raid is using
35:14 multiple Drives together in order to achieve either better data uh security
35:19 or better speed uh Laro asks how good is the FX
35:24 6100 what I have to say about AMD's products stack is that it is priced
35:29 appropriately I saw a really interesting news article where someone was talking
35:33 about how holy crap AMD's new Chips um
35:37 because there there's lots of leaks in terms of pricing and performance and all
35:40 that stuff holy crap AMD's new chips are going to be priced like super low
35:43 they're coming in at a very very aggressive price and oh how exciting is
35:47 this and my response to that is whenever you hear anything about pricing for an
35:53 upcoming video card or an upcoming CPU what that should tell you is how well it
35:57 performs because AMD is not stupid
36:01 Intel's not stupid NVIDIA is not stupid they take their new product and they go
36:05 okay so here this is where the
36:09 competitor's product is here at $200 and this is where the competitor's product
36:13 here is at $100 and we know our chip performs about here so we'll price it at
36:17 $150 it's not rocket science you can probably extrapolate the performance of
36:22 any upcoming part based on the rumors about pricing well before it ever comes
36:26 out so there you go how it is an fx 6100
36:29 it is exactly
36:33 M FX
36:36 6100 it is exactly $100 good which in
36:40 terms of sort of equivalent to what you'd see on the Intel side is sort of
36:44 like you know the core I3 level um and
36:47 honestly that's that's probably about where it falls the exceptions being
36:52 heavily threaded workloads for example diesel is now using an fx 8150 in his
36:57 rendering machine um and he says it has made a big difference for him over his
37:01 existing he had a q he had either a q6600 or a q9550 he
37:07 said it's been like an awesome like phenomenal upgrade for him because all
37:11 those threads is great for doing things like color correction postprocessing and
37:15 all the fancy hoo-ha that he's that he's usually working
37:19 on any good ergonomic gaming keyboards honestly not really the whole ergonomic
37:24 keyboard thing has kind of fallen out of Vogue lately um I have had a Microsoft
37:28 natural back in the day I loved it but there's not really anything specifically
37:31 for gaming why is Slick's identity such a closely guarded secret honestly it's
37:36 not really I mean people have uh people have seen him there's footage of slick
37:40 on YouTube it's as it's as difficult as going like this uh
37:45 slick um
37:48 Linus slick revealed there you go first hit and well that's slick with a bag on
37:53 his head but this is I think this is slick filming something at one of the uh
37:57 at one of the live events that we've done so yeah it's not really that big of a secret it's just one of those things
38:02 where generally speaking like think about it you go to see a play do the
38:06 people who like run out and move the set around do they do they have a spotlight
38:10 on them do they show their faces not really it's just how it's done when
38:13 you're part of the crew you're supposed to I mean diesel calls it show black
38:18 you're supposed to wear black so that you're not going to get caught in the reflections you're supposed to stay at a
38:22 Reflections you're supposed to be quiet! because otherwise you're going to you're
38:25 going to ruin the shot and you're not supposed to be making the Run not necessarily starring
38:31 in the however I think slick is actually considering using the uh the twitch
38:35 channel here to potentially do some gameplay streaming videos and let you
38:39 guys play some games with him and stuff so I'll I'll bug him about that but I
38:42 think it'll have to be sometime after um
38:47 after he's done his exam so Slick's still a student just like edel they
38:50 actually both go to school at the same place so uh so yeah once he's done his
38:55 exams then we'll then we'll be having a different convers ation shout out from
38:59 Manila okay can do uh yeah I'm not doing
39:03 I'm not doing the ABC's backwards in ASL I already showed I know how to do it
39:07 mount a cheap laser on your camera so you know if it's filming at the right
39:10 position instead of checking back on your monitor that is interesting what
39:14 I'm actually checking on the monitor is whether my switching is working or not
39:18 so uh good suggestion love it but uh but
39:23 the the reason I'm doing that is actually slightly different from from
39:26 what's going on cuz the the less link between this thing is actually not that
39:29 good infusion says we have the same Mouse I love my g9x I actually have a G9
39:34 but you know close enough you tried really hard that's good uh what do you
39:38 think is better Big Bang X power or Rampage 5 extreme um out of those two I
39:41 would probably well Big Bang X power is an x58 board for one thing so I think
39:46 you mean the big bang X power 2 I would personally go Rampage 5 extreme for one
39:50 reason and that's because it's actually still in a standard ATX length um
39:54 whereas the Big Bang X power 2 is um is
39:57 an XL ATX length and really doesn't fit in a lot of cases I mean there are cases
40:01 it fits in but um I I like the Silverstone tj07 I like not being locked
40:06 to sort of 5% of the cases that are out
40:10 there because of the length of my motherboard I prefer going the other way
40:14 around uh do you think the 650 TI is a good bang for the buck yeah it's good um
40:19 do you think it would perform well as an egpu electronic GPU maybe he means
40:24 external GPU with one of those enclosures not quite sure what he means by GPU so I I tried I tried have a Time
40:31 pressured extreme PC Building and modding contest with slick against Logan
40:35 and his team you know what probably not a bad idea that kind of thing would be
40:38 very very fun so I'm not going to say that that's not something that will
40:42 happen in the future speaking of things that'll happen in the future I don't
40:45 know if you guys are familiar with the PC per podcast or if you're familiar
40:50 with PC per in general so PC perspective is a website on the internets and they
40:55 have a podcast and I will actually be making a guest appearance on that
40:59 podcast next week so if you guys want to tune in that's cool if you don't want to
41:03 tune in honestly that's cool too it doesn't really make that much of a difference to me so that'll be on the
41:09 25th I believe it's every Thursday I
41:12 don't even know what time it is I think it's around noon my time so so noon my
41:17 time is uh
41:21 um whatever time it is your time get a world clock you know what there's a
41:25 widget in Windows so you just like add that time zone clock to your to the side
41:30 of your thing and then you won't have too much too much trouble with that
41:34 moving right along more TT and I knocked
41:37 over my keyboard that I use for switching awesome I'm like a rock star
41:40 today this is amazing you use many different web browsers including Opera
41:44 yes I do the reason I do that is because I have many different Google accounts
41:48 and while you can now although I don't believe you used to be able to do it
41:52 while you can add additional Google accounts signed in under the same
41:55 browser I find it actually less convenient to to use it that way than to
41:59 just have five different browsers that are all logged into five different Google accounts and just kind of
42:03 remember I mean I remember Firefox is for Linus at NC uh Internet Explorer is
42:08 for NC Tech tips Chrome is for Linus Tech tips Safari is for Linus cat tips
42:13 and then Opera as sort of a utility one if I need to log into one of my other
42:17 variety of Gmail accounts H use 6950 or new 7870 you know
42:24 what I'd probably go with the new 7870 uh 78 7 is a great value these days and
42:29 it can overclock like like a boss George
42:32 says it's the first time tuning in live thank you for tuning in live George I
42:36 appreciate it very very much what would you recommend for cheap
42:41 and efficient power supply you know what you've probably narrowed it down to one
42:44 of the best choices out there a lot of
42:48 people ask me for power supply advice and then totally ignore me they ask me
42:53 for power supply advice and I say get a high efficiency 650 550 750 watt power
42:59 supply and they kind of go oh wus what do you think of this 1,000 wat 80 plus
43:03 platinum and I kind of go well it's a good power supply but based on the
43:07 configuration you showed me that's going to suck 250 to 300 watts from the wall
43:12 maximum you're actually going to be getting worse efficiency out of a higher
43:18 capacity power supply than you would out of a lower capacity one it's not about
43:22 buying the biggest power supply it's about buying the most optimized power
43:26 supply so if you're getting a single GPU gaming rig an EA 650 Platinum is
43:30 actually an excellent choice way to go wow Goron Goron Goron I don't know if
43:39 anyone can pronounce that you get three points on the internets I'm interested
43:43 in network storage that's fantastic Andreas George asks best silent fans I
43:49 get this question a lot because I'm a bit of a silence dork no TOA F where is
43:55 it kn to a where is it something something F12
44:01 there you go buy this just buy it and be
44:04 done with it this is an amazing fan it
44:07 is just amazing in every way it sends
44:10 the air where you want it to go it has awesome static pressure it just it's
44:15 just it's magical if you hate the color scheme there are other options out there
44:19 uh bit Phoenix Spectre Pros are pretty good um GED wings are pretty good uh be
44:26 quiet fans I've heard excellent things about and the one that I checked out was
44:29 was excellent as well so there are other options if you ABS oh ah scy gentle
44:34 typhoons are awesome as well U most of them you're going to have to undervolt
44:37 the nocas come with all the adapters you need to run them super quiet and I'm
44:41 just so impressed with NOA every day all
44:44 day every day that I just recommend it anytime someone asks me for the best
44:48 silent fan what's your thought on Dual
44:52 radiators in a water cooled build and what kind of heat would it require for
44:55 them to be useful honestly you can take advantage of a dual
44:58 rad uh with just a CPU Loop um single
45:01 RADS are not good enough and it's a it's pretty simple physics to be perfectly
45:05 honest because heat dissipation is all about surface area and I'm sorry I'm
45:10 kind of walking away because I'm trying to figure out if I have a heat sink
45:13 anywhere around here that I can show you guys so heat dissipation is
45:19 um is surface area and then you have
45:22 fans applying moving air to that surface
45:25 area to carry the heat away so what that means is that if you have a radiator
45:29 that has less surface area than a heat
45:33 sink then it should stand to reason that
45:37 the performance of said radiator will actually be less than a heat sink people
45:41 ask me all the time about like Corsair h60 h60 great product makes your system
45:48 look tidier um it looks nice it um has water in
45:57 doesn't perform nearly as well as tons
46:01 of air coolers on the market because it's so little surface area oh what it
46:06 does do is it removes a fan from your system although it adds a pump so it's
46:09 from a silence perspective I don't even know if it even makes sense so what so
46:13 it's got this tiny tiny surface area what it does have as an advantage is the
46:17 ability to draw heat away from the CPU more quickly because it's using water
46:22 however if you can't dissipate that heat from the radiator fast enough the water
46:26 just War warms up and warms up and warms up until it reaches an equilibrium point
46:30 where the water rushing around the loop is at you know 45° and then even if it's
46:35 holding it even even if the CPU block is efficient enough to take 45 degree water
46:39 and keep your CPU at 70° then I mean
46:43 fantastic you got a 70° CPU that's not better than air cooling so I really
46:47 recommend if you're going to get a pre-done water cooler get an h80 get an
46:51 h100 a dual red makes a huge difference
46:56 and then a thick red makes a big difference as well however if you really
46:59 want to go water cooling the way to do it is to get a custom custom Loop custom
47:04 Loop is is awesome and the way that bosses Do It um trying to change my
47:10 thing here I hate this thing I have a
47:13 better wireless keyboard but I used this one cuz I thought you know cuz it's
47:17 really low profile it would be awesome but this is this is not working tonight
47:21 going to test the 7h thanks to you good job should I buy The Fanatic or the
47:25 normal one there is no difference oh apparently there's a little difference
47:29 with the ear cups okay I have no idea it's the same headphones um when I use
47:33 the 7hs I personally prefer the uh the
47:37 pley ear cups as opposed to the fabric
47:40 ones so if you're interested in my
47:43 thoughts on it at all then I would probably go that
47:48 route do you think AMD will beat NVIDIA within blah blah blah with the 8,000
47:52 series you know what it doesn't matter um it's the same old thing every time
47:58 everyone wants to speculate about the new AMD thing or the new NVIDIA thing or
48:02 the new Intel thing how will it perform how will it be priced you know what it's
48:07 it'll perform better it'll be priced the same and then the prices will erode as
48:12 the as the uh the market gets flooded with parts and then something new will
48:16 come out and it will replace
48:20 it and that'll be that so yeah some something will happen
48:25 and someone will release something and honestly until we get closer like we
48:28 haven't even seen any solid rumors about 8,000 Series so I'm not even thinking
48:32 about it I'm actually curious to see if AMD even calls it 8,000 series I mean I
48:38 was I was surprised when NVIDIA released a 9800 graphics card because that was a
48:43 number that AMD had used before well ATI I guess at the time ATI had used before
48:48 with the Radeon 9800 Pro so it was uh it
48:51 was it was quite quite puzzling to me
48:54 that they that they decided to go that route and release a 9 800 to go along
48:58 with their their competitor's
49:02 9800 okay M tamore Twitter questions
49:06 yay thank you minus I'm in the market
49:10 for a new mechanical gaming keyboard I see you have the cor a k90 and I want to
49:14 know your thoughts I do not use a
49:17 Corsair k90 I'm not sure where you saw me use a Corsair k90 probably on the set
49:21 of NC Tech tips so the k90 looks
49:25 fantastic it is like the best looking keyboard it has individually backlit
49:29 Keys it's got that gorgeous aluminum like thing going on um I'm personally
49:35 not a big fan of cherry red switches so I'm actually using a meic cyel 60 I've
49:40 got a couple 7gs in deployment I still use my g15 gen 1 from time to time
49:45 although that's not a mechanical keyboard I'm more of a cherry cherry
49:49 Blue cherry well can't use blue cuz I have a baby in the house now and he'll
49:53 wake up if I use Cherry Blues they're so loud I'm more of a black Black Cherry MX
49:58 switch user although I just got my hands
50:02 on the new Logitech whatever it is I think it's the 710 plus this is very
50:07 exciting 710 let's try
50:13 searching is it no I don't know what it is
50:16 google.ca Logitech mechanic yeah there
50:19 we go mechanical keyboard g710 plus yeah that's what it is here's the uh here's
50:23 the anch review so I just got my on one
50:27 of these I'm really excited to try it because they decided to go with brown
50:30 switches so Brown switches are basically
50:33 like um they're basically like let me
50:37 see if I can remember this I think Brown switches take a little bit more uh a
50:42 little bit more forced to depress like Blues but they're quieter than blues if
50:47 I recall correctly and then the mushier more linear ones are the blacks and the
50:52 and the Reds although the thing I like about the blacks um I don't like on some
50:56 keyboards but I really like on the zy um is not the fact that they're linear so
51:00 I'm really excited to try out this keyboard because I haven't yet seen like
51:04 a gaming oriented keyboard with macro keys and that kind of those kinds of
51:08 features with cherry Brown switches so
51:11 very very very cool very cool
51:16 um let's go back to Twitter shall we is
51:20 an Intel 330 series SSD okay for a boot Drive yes AMD pile Drive review soon yes
51:25 I'm in the okay already read that oh oh wow we're all the way back to uh to
51:29 where we started fantastic 249 new
51:33 interactions you guys are killing me here wow how do you set up an AMD main
51:38 graphics with an NVIDIA FX dedicated card had someone asked this question not
51:42 that long ago and the answer I gave them was you can't and then I had someone
51:46 kind of jump in oh hold the internet slightest you actually can here's a
51:50 forum thread somewhere we yes you can um
51:54 however you're going to always be locked into using a last generation driver and
52:00 you're every time you want to update your drivers you're going to be tweaking
52:03 something or changing some file or
52:06 somehow haering it and to me it's really
52:10 not worth it if you okay physx is cool I
52:14 guess there's a couple games that do leverage it Borderlands 2 being a recent
52:18 exception of note that or not exception but a recent notable title that does
52:22 utilize physx look if you want physx use it NVIDIA graphic graic card it really
52:27 doesn't seem that complicated if you don't want FX go ahead and use name your
52:31 graphics card um trying to building a machine that is basically built around
52:36 the idea that the hardware is not supposed to work together correctly is
52:40 asking for trouble they going to have enough trouble with your computer
52:44 because computers are finicky sometimes
52:48 if you don't intentionally configure a computer that you know isn't supposed to
52:51 work right so that's my two cents on that I probably won't address it again
52:56 but there you go I don't recommend it razor Naga versus corser 90 personally
53:01 I'd go Naga um the Naga has the
53:05 advantage of having more reachable buttons for me because the buttons are
53:09 all close together but the drawback of that is because they're so close
53:12 together you can often accidentally hit them um however with the M90 I find the
53:17 I find the buttons the uh the left and right click are a little sensitive for
53:21 me they're almost like a hair trigger um and I put more weight on my mouse when
53:25 I'm moving it around so I had a little bit of trouble with that although I got used to it after a while there's an M90
53:29 on the machine that's right over there um but then for the side buttons because
53:34 I have kind of small hands I found I wasn't able to really reach that many of them so Naga Naga works for me when I
53:40 move my hands like an octopus it kills your your
53:44 bandwidth that is uh that is that is probably the best tweet I've gotten on a
53:48 live stream yet so so what you're saying is I shouldn't do this oh see I'm doing
53:53 it but it's not counting because I didn't switch W does that kill anyone
53:58 else's bandwidth I'm just curious go over to the uh go over to the twitch
54:03 thing and see what that does nope okay fine forget it I guess
54:10 you should get more bandwidth or something let's go ahead and back to
54:14 Twitter yes lonus should I get a second 570 and
54:20 runli or get a new 670 or 680 usually I
54:24 would recommend selling your old card getting a new card especially cuz you
54:29 can get 670s for pretty reasonable prices already the prices like started
54:33 really high when they were super in demand and then they just kind of went like this and now they've leveled off a
54:37 little bit so now is probably a good time to buy a 670 I mean a 660 Ti is a
54:41 great option too unless you're running like super uber multim monitor in which
54:47 case you probably need like two 670s and with like lots of RAM um 660 Ti is a
54:52 great option once you overclock them they get pretty close to a 670 and you
54:55 save anywhere from 70 to $100 depending on
54:59 where you shop for your 670s and 660
55:04 Ti Joel good question Joel would you use
55:07 an affinity or surround setup for your personal rig for me no um it's not my
55:12 preference I like to have a single very
55:15 large format display for my personal machine however at work I don't know if
55:20 you've ever seen something that I've filmed in my office um let me see if I let me see if
55:26 I can actually find something that I filmed in my office
55:30 so lonus giveaway I think I filmed a
55:33 couple in my office oh yeah there's that one that's that's not my
55:38 office um well if you've seen my office you'll
55:43 know that I actually have four monitors
55:46 four monitors on my desk at my office because I find for
55:50 productivity this is awesome these these were so good the submissions for the uh
55:54 for the Duke Nukem giveaway contest uh
55:58 now I'm all now I'm all reminiscing and stuff because this is awesome this was a
56:02 really good one uh let's see not not my
56:06 favorite though let me see if I can find my favorite one totally just play this
56:09 for you guys you know what you won't have audio anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter but uh for work multi
56:14 monitor awesome prefer it for gaming I
56:18 prefer a single monitor because I find the peripheral experience doesn't really
56:21 add that much for for me personally got a good liquid cooler
56:25 suggest question um get the h100 there
56:29 you go sorry should go back to Twitter
56:33 how are highend USB dacks compared to internal cards often actually better um
56:37 if you can find a super awesome USB deck
56:40 then you will get uh the advantage of having it completely removed from all
56:45 the interference that's bouncing around inside of a computer chassis and you
56:50 will also have the advantage of well I mean come on guys sound doesn't need a
56:55 huge data rate USB 2 is a okay um so you
56:58 got it removed you can also have the added space of having a larger enclosure
57:03 so something like an ASUS Essence one would be an example of a product that
57:08 would leverage both the uh the lack of
57:11 interference oh my goodness it's lus video setion uh the lack of interference
57:15 and the extra space so Essence one and it sounds so good I actually did a video
57:22 about this thing at one point it only does uh it does headphones or 2.1
57:27 speakers that's it uh but it does do upsampling and it just sounds amazing so
57:33 my new my new audio setup is going to be uh once I finally get my personal rig
57:38 back up and running is going to be the essence one for my headphones um the
57:42 cors our sp2500 is running off my Zonar zent so my my sound card and then I'm
57:47 going to have the um Thunder FX that got
57:51 included with the Maximus 5 formula for my microphone in because it has an
57:56 awesome like ambient noise cancelling thing so if the baby's crying it's got a
58:00 microphone on the front that hears that the baby's crying and then that's not my
58:03 voice because it also has a microphone Jack and it'll just cancel it out it's
58:08 really freaking cool so that's uh that's going to be my new setup I'm just a
58:12 little bit too far away change change
58:19 please come on there we go
58:25 awesome watched all videos and reviews I could find still can't decide on a good
58:29 head at the compliment Z our DX d2x uh get a 7h bam can you shine some light on
58:34 micro stutter and S and ways to prevent it there's nothing you can do to prevent
58:37 it and personally I don't really see it so I can't comment on it too much some
58:41 people really see it some people really don't are you still considering to
58:46 launch a Europe store shipping to Europe I feel left out about not being able to buy what I said was you never know what
58:52 the future holds I didn't say that that's that's happening so uh yeah let's
58:58 not let's not read too much into
59:02 things all right first time watching from John
59:06 Salisbury what do you think about Gigabyte gpus they seem noticeably
59:10 absent from every GPU review of yours um
59:13 yeah they're good nothing wrong with them um it's just that whatever whatever
59:19 I get sent often times is what I'll take a look at and for me I I I guess it
59:26 comes down to personal philosophy because for
59:32 me go go thank you for me I find stuff like
59:38 this youtube.com kind of pointless um and I
59:43 mean I love Paul um but I'm sure that he had to do
59:47 this where they've got like look at this
59:51 one reference card ah ah ah two
59:55 reference cards ah three reference
59:59 cards four reference oh man I mean it's
60:04 tedious here another reference card uh
60:07 uh uh uh what is that five five reference GTX 680s I mean that's cool
60:12 and all but do you are they really
60:15 different do you really care if I take the MSI one and I go okay here's the MSI
60:19 one it's pretty balling um here's the Galaxy one it's oh it's got a different
60:24 color sticker I don't think you guys want to see that
60:28 I think that if you subscribe to this channel for the point of seeing a
60:32 different video every day I would be doing a disservice if I uploaded the
60:36 same video card five times in a row with a slightly different package and a
60:40 slightly different sticker now when we come into video cards that are unique
60:46 then we've got a different thing going on so for example the 7970 Matrix
60:51 because it is so cool and so unique Justified its own full performance
60:56 review and close look on the NC Tech tips Channel remember guys if you are
61:01 only subscribed to me online as Tech tips then you are going to miss out on a
61:06 lot of the deeper content that I'm doing for the ncx channel as well remember I
61:10 worked there so I'm I'm the video spokesman there as well as maintaining
61:15 lus Tech tips as more of like a bloggy style thing so this is apparently going
61:19 to run in 1080P which is probably a little bit much for what we're doing
61:22 this was also one of the First videos where diesel
61:28 um started doing some of these really cool things with the with the new camera
61:32 so I forget oh Sho I forget what he calls it but it's called like a like a
61:36 something something fade or something where you can see the ASUS one is blurry
61:41 and then it switches to being clear cuz he's changing the uh changing the focus
61:46 and then the ASUS is clear and the 797s blurry and just looks super cool but uh
61:52 but yeah so so what it comes down to is if there's something unique and
61:56 different about it then sure yeah I don't mind taking a look at more than one card but when we're talking ASUS
62:00 direct CU MSI twin frozer and gab wind
62:04 Force we're talking dual fans some heat pipes some aluminum
62:10 fins you want to see that five times I mean okay hey if you want to see that
62:14 five times let me know and I can totally totally change my policy and I can start
62:19 doing it differently but if you don't want to see that five times then that's
62:22 cool too I have never watched Breaking Bad to someone who asked if I'm a fan of
62:27 the show so I've heard it's great but I
62:30 I have so little time these days that I haven't I haven't managed to watch TV in
62:36 uh in in a very long time I hardly find time to watch my weekly zero
62:40 punctuations so and that's like 5 minutes long um what type of case should
62:46 I get for under 170 full ATX I don't know Define XL is probably not a bad
62:50 choice I really like the Define XL but I hate it when people ask me what case to
62:54 get without giving me any Conta you want quiet you want sort of a more aggressive
62:58 Gamer look you know half XM would be a good choice in that case um I can't make
63:03 this choice for you unless you give me some idea what the heck you're going
63:06 for uh I'll be doing another giveaway at some point um maybe soon maybe I'm
63:11 filming something this weekend no promises or anything though when your
63:15 son gets older and all his friends are getting consoles will you build him an
63:18 amazing rig and make them cry
63:22 um before all his friends are getting consoles he'll already have an amazing
63:26 rig and I'll encourage him to take his amazing rig over to his friends houses
63:31 and it'll be like so massive and heavy that he can just drop it on their
63:34 consoles and literally crush them because the PC as a gaming platform
63:38 literally well doesn't literally but crushes console so yes he will he will
63:42 fully understand the value of of the PC
63:46 as a gaming platform versus consoles cuz consoles are for conso
63:51 people which is pretty much all you need to know about them no I'm just kidding
63:55 you guys who play games on consoles you're cool too Luke asks h100 or an hd14 and a 600t
64:02 I would go with the h100 personally get Ivory bridge now or wait
64:06 for Haswell I'm impossible to say so many people again Ask me these questions
64:11 I don't know because I don't know how Haswell performs I don't know how much it costs so you guys are asking me to
64:15 solve for to solve for okay so H see
64:19 this is a great example algebra so X let's say x is yes and Y is no or
64:24 something so solve for this yes or no variable and then you've got like the
64:29 current thing and then you've got the future thing which is also a variable so
64:33 actually I can't solve for this variable without knowing this variable so those
64:36 of you who are like well have at least completed a high school level Math
64:40 course will know what I'm talking about lus what's the input leg like with
64:44 the ASUS pb278 Q leg uh very good
64:47 actually for a 2560 by 1440 monitor uh outstanding color excellent little bit
64:53 of motion blur not bad though really like it great
64:58 monitor um Kudos tus I'm going back to sleep okay good night I guess he's
65:02 probably gone by now since that was 7 minutes ago um would an I
65:07 33220 last me until Intel Sky Lake wow
65:11 this is taking it even further check out this tweet guys so I was I was just
65:14 talking about how I can't speculate on the next platform that's coming and I'm
65:19 being asked about something that's not even due to be released for 3 years come
65:22 on Jason um will it last you I don't I
65:25 don't know I I mean h it's impossible to
65:30 say what how multi-threading aware games are going to become without knowing what
65:34 the heck you're doing with your computer like are you going to be rendering 4K
65:38 videos in that case your i33 220 is going to get squished like a bug
65:45 um sorry man I I I mean if you've been
65:48 using an e7400 until now and that's worked for you then what I know about
65:53 your usage model is that you don't upgrade that often So based on that I'd say that you're
65:58 getting a pretty equivalent processor today so maybe could that last you
66:02 another 3 years probably that's the only way I can answer that question though is
66:06 an overclock 670 better than a stock 680 um yes but you could also overclock a
66:10 680 so there you go any experience with any
66:15 of the cyborg gaming my keyboards I played around with a with a rat
66:18 something or other which is is that yeah cyborg now I think they changed their
66:22 branding not that long ago so it's very confusing but but um yeah it was okay
66:27 felt good tensor felt good I didn't really like the modularity of the mouse
66:31 cuz I can personally find mice that are comfortable for me already and I found
66:34 it just kind of it's kind of weird but uh but lots of people lots of people
66:38 like them I'm not meowing on the live stream thanks to Eduardo for his uh for
66:43 his suggestion there oh sorry I'm not on the Twitter thing please meow no thank
66:49 you uh I just bought SP 2500s is it
66:52 supposed to hiss when it's turned on and nothing's playing there may be a light
66:56 hiss but if it's loud then that might be something where you want to look into
67:00 ring those with Corsair um nine times out of 10 uh it's something to do with
67:04 the amp so for example um my old Monsoon
67:08 mm 2000s had quite a HS to them and it
67:12 ended up it ended up being caused by the amp so there's really nothing you can do
67:15 about it with these with these kit speakers because you can't just replace
67:20 the uh the amp what graphics card would be good for
67:23 a 19 to 21 inch monitor this is something I've wanted to talk about on
67:27 the live stream for a while the size of your monitor has nothing to do with how
67:32 much graphics card horsepower requires
67:36 I'm going to let that SN in for a second the only thing that matters is how many
67:40 pixels so for example a lot of people
67:44 were really confused back when I released this video the uh the GeForce
67:49 GTX 590 triple projector ultimate
67:54 panoramic game Experience
67:57 episode um and that's me at my best of
68:04 course yeah there you go uh because they were like holy crap how does a graphics
68:10 card power you know a uh a 200 in
68:13 display to which I responded well these are three 720p monitors so if you
68:18 actually do the math it's not that much more intensive than powering a single
68:22 1080p monitor off a GTX 5 90 which
68:26 definitely has the horses for it so don't don't worry about that um so yeah
68:30 guys only pixels it doesn't matter if you're running a 1080p 23in monitor or
68:36 if you're running a 1080p 70in TV it requires exactly the same amount of
68:41 Graphics power in order to achieve the results that you are looking for so I
68:46 would need to know what resolution your monitor is however based on what I know about 19 and 21 in monitors um anything
68:52 higher than a GTX 650 TI you're probably not not going to see as much benefit
68:56 something like a 660 Ti would be the maximum I would spend for a resolution
69:00 like that and you'd be able to crank up absolutely
69:05 everything excuse me what is the absolute smallest case that can fit a 2X
69:09 100 radiator you know what that's a great
69:13 question um and because I don't know off the top of my head I would love for I
69:18 would love for um anyone else who's on Twitter to reply to Matthew last year
69:23 and let him know if there's any super small cases that you've seen are
69:26 confirmed to fit a corser h100 good question Jacob asks would I
69:32 ever use an AMD graphics card well I'd use it for lots of things my wife's
69:36 computer has a 5870 in it um I have used
69:40 a AMD graphics cards in the past my first my first I mean I'll call it
69:45 highend but it wasn't really high-end but it was a couple hundred bucks few hundred bucks my first highend graphics
69:50 card that I bought Beyond using like onboard or Cheapo entry level stuff was
69:53 an Allin Wonder 9600 Pro so that was that was kind of back in the
69:57 day now but that was a fantastic card loved it from there I upgraded to uh an
70:03 x800 Pro from there I went to an x800
70:07 XT um I used a 3870 HD 3870 at one point
70:13 because that was a cool card you could take off the aircool shrouded thing that
70:19 was only connected to the GPU and it actually had a built-in unisync so all
70:23 you had to do was throw a GPU water block on on it and you were ready to go that was a very cool card um I have a
70:28 2900 XT in my work machine uh let me
70:31 just think if there's anything newer than that that I have used not since
70:35 then yeah not since then um my biggest problem with
70:39 reference AMD cards is they tend to exhibit more coil line than their NVIDIA
70:43 counterparts and again because I'm a silence freak it almost has nothing to
70:47 do with performance for me I will take a card that performs 30% slower and is
70:51 silent versus one that is like bleeding edge fast and
70:57 goes you know whenever it's loading games and textures and stuff like that I
71:01 find that just super super obnoxious nice gaming laptop can you
71:06 tell us if the fatality sound card is better than the feus absolutely not ASUS
71:11 is the king when it comes to sound cards these days the Feebas is way better than
71:15 the fatality sound card which is like a 5-year-old design at this point is it
71:20 possible to buy just the hydrocopper water block for the 680 I don't believe
71:23 so evj only sells the with video cards however you could get a different water
71:28 block that would probably be better than the hydrocopper anyway and put that on
71:31 your 680 uh good point Andrew I have not used
71:36 The Cooler Master CM Storm trigger but I'm very excited about the uh the brown
71:41 brown switches lus would you recommend mechanical keyboards it doesn't even
71:46 matter for FPS gaming put in four blank
71:49 yes I would recommend mechanical keyboards they are way better than anything else you know I actually spent
71:54 a fair bit of time with the Mamba back when it was released good question what
71:57 do I think of the razor Mamba it is very
72:01 responsive so in terms of the input latency it is
72:05 outstanding didn't really like the ergonomics that much um which to me is
72:11 sort of a killer but let me see if I can actually that was one of my favorite
72:15 videos that I ever did was my Razer Mambo one uh let's see a chill wow
72:23 really six 180,000 views on a mamba
72:30 video wow that's outstanding uh let's
72:34 see if I can let's see if I can find mine there we go ncixcom razor Mamba
72:39 from April 16th 2019 so our video
72:43 quality wasn't wasn't what it uh wasn't what it is now this is awesome though I
72:47 actually sing the Mamba song M Mamba
72:50 number five and this is this is cameraman
72:55 comment here see so so I made up my own sort of lyrics to uh to Mambo Number
73:00 Five make that go away I'll let you guys sort of you know
73:04 sing along in your
73:07 heads but yeah if you if you watch that if you watch that video you can enjoy
73:11 the you can enjoy my my terrible singing um and I basically said everything I
73:15 think about the Mamba in that video I didn't end up using it so I guess that
73:20 should be all you need to know at a certain level um sorry not my much time with the
73:26 side X4 so I can't really comment yes you can have a shout out to the Danish
73:30 viewers hi Danish viewers thank you for
73:33 watching this live stream and I hope you're enjoying it um actually I want to
73:38 check my my live stream ideas thing ah shout out to Mexico viewers I did
73:42 promise that and then I also wanted to
73:46 talk about single versus multi-rail power supplies so tell you what since
73:50 you twitch people are all whining and griping every time I try and talk about
73:54 something other than Q&A would you guys
73:58 like to hear about single rail versus multi-rail or would you like to complain
74:02 some more okay I'm
74:05 listening Z no no yes no no yes yes yes
74:10 you guys can't make up your mind so I'm just going to do it because I think it's a good idea single rail versus multi
74:15 rail power supplies so basically most modern power supplies
74:21 and I okay maybe I shouldn't say most but many modern power supplies actually
74:25 are taking a virtual approach to a multi-rail design so while all of the
74:31 power is being generated with a single 12vt rail it is using electronic
74:37 technology to separate them out and then Implement safety mechanisms on a per
74:43 rail basis on Virtual rails that's why
74:46 you even see power supplies that have switches between single Rail and
74:51 multirail so this means a couple of things so number one
74:55 is that it means that your multi-rail power supply is can be a little okay
75:00 let's let's step way back multi-rail why does it exist multirail came around
75:05 originally back in the P4 days when it came to be that we were drawing
75:10 dramatically more power from the 12volt rail all of a sudden so power supply
75:14 manufacturers were kind of like oh well
75:17 this is a lot of amperage to put on one rail and the ATX specification changed
75:22 to actually require multi-rail power suppli for ATX V whatever Point whatever
75:28 um specification compliancy for a while
75:31 so then what happened after that was
75:35 stuff continued to draw more and more power from the 12vt rail and so video
75:39 cards and CPUs particularly I mean back when Intel's penum D series those things
75:44 were power Hogs you wouldn't believe a motherboard that I saw once that had the
75:49 entire vrm like it was one of those ASUS cardboard color boards you know those
75:53 older orangey yellow ones the entire back of the board was like brown brown
75:59 where the mosfets were in spite of the cooling fan that was blowing air down on
76:03 them because those things Drew so much power they ran so hot so so what
76:07 happened was we split it out into multirail so that when we when safety
76:11 mechanisms were applied to the individual rails it wouldn't be so much
76:15 power that it would just explode okay in
76:18 layman's terms then what happened we started drawing more power from the 12vt
76:22 rail and we started running into issues where if the manufacturer didn't
76:26 Implement multirail correctly if you plugged in your CPU and then your GPU
76:32 accidentally because it was all Molex powered back then so your CPU and all
76:36 your hard drives you had them all running off the same rail on the power supply even though you had a 450 wat
76:41 power supply and your system only Drew 300 watts from it you could run into
76:45 situations where your system would just power down as soon as you got under
76:49 gaming load and uh that caused a big problem
76:52 for gamers and we started to see single rail power supplies come back to
76:57 prevalence I mean guys like PC power and cooling have sort of always been all
77:00 about single rail um of course s has stayed predominantly single rail for
77:05 their very high-end stuff XFX is single rail on their high-end stuff um
77:09 especially now um however that issue's
77:12 pretty much gone um I mean even even power supplies like anex high current
77:17 Quattro was it or high current Pro High current Quattro it was a multi-rail
77:22 design but I was still because they've added more sort of overflow onto each
77:26 individual rail so one rail so just because you've got like let's say 100 o
77:30 total and then you got 10 rails you don't go 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
77:34 10 it doesn't work that way you can go each of these rails can handle 22 amps
77:38 maximum but obviously you couldn't load them all at 22 amps because that would
77:42 exceed the maximum total current capability of the power supply so that
77:45 means that you can sort of borrow power
77:49 from one rail to another with the modern implementations of multi-rail designs in
77:53 order to whether they're virtual or whether they're real in order to
77:57 maintain that safety where you're not running so much power through one wire
78:00 to the point where you can actually like melt connectors it's happened um but
78:05 you're able to uh borrow that power so I was able to run a dual coolit borus
78:12 liquid cooling Tech units off of one of those power supplies in spite of its
78:16 multi-rail configuration and that's a couple year old unit now so single rail
78:21 multi-rail which is the right choice personally I don't think about it to to
78:24 much I buy the power supply that I like in terms of you know Cable Management in
78:29 terms of the cooling in terms of how quiet it is the XFX one I'm using now
78:34 and some of the cic ones actually have a hybrid fan control so if the load's
78:38 under 50% it doesn't turn the fan on at all yay perfect for silence freaks
78:43 that's basically like buying a 500 wat passive power
78:47 supply awesome fan only turns on when you're gaming perfect so um it happens
78:52 to be a single rail does it matter to me not really you haven't I haven't heard
78:56 too many stories of people's computers blowing up due to single rail power
78:59 supplies um but companies like antech that tend to do things very like byy
79:03 book um we'll probably continue to implement multirail and that's fine too
79:08 so there I hope that wasn't too boring
79:11 for you guys and that you haven't all
79:14 like tuned out because I'm talking about power supplies so let's go ahead and go
79:18 back to Twitter and see if we can uh get
79:22 this to switch there we go Graphics difference between VGA DVI and HDMI um
79:29 VGA sucks DVI is higher bandwidth than HDMI and HDMI is lower bandwidth than
79:33 DVI which only matters if you're running a higher resolution Ivan I'm on
79:37 broadband 250 but they haven't managed to fix my upload yet so I'm only on 5
79:41 megabit up so I'm actually calling Shaw tomorrow to complain about that and get
79:45 the uh the difference in price addressed
79:49 by them oo Wes how do you feel about
79:52 ocz's stock dropping 70% in the past week or so I actually know a lot of
79:56 people at ocz they're they're like they're my Bros um but I got to say it's
80:01 looking ugly right now for you know all
80:04 the people that are leaving I mean and I I know a couple guys who are who are
80:08 gone um the way that they're stock has gone like this well no it's gone more
80:13 like this and then like this and then um
80:17 you know what great products Vertex 4 particularly is just awesome I mean it
80:22 was the first time they'd really released something that was truly their
80:25 own not I mean Revo drive is kind of their own but it's
80:28 like their own implementation of like
80:31 someone else's RAID controller and someone else's controller with someone else's firmware whereas Vertex 4 at
80:36 least had their own firmware on a Marvel controller um so I don't know I I hope
80:41 they pull out of this maybe they'll get acquired maybe they'll maybe they'll
80:44 figure it out but uh if you're asking me
80:48 if I'd invest in ocz today the answer is probably probably
80:52 not would you recommend any hardware for interfacing recording live music you
80:56 know what I'm not the expert um on that
81:00 unfortunately what do I think about Windows 8 I'm excited for the snappiness
81:04 the quick boot times and all that good stuff but I'm I'm less excited for how
81:09 unexcited other people are not a question but please do a
81:13 followup of some of the stuff you take a first look at some products are
81:17 interesting to see me test right up till
81:20 now the problem has been that I'm very time constrained so I do have a
81:24 full-time job NCI for those of you who think that I make like a billion dollars
81:28 on YouTube and that's sort of how I make my living it's really not how it works
81:33 for me um I do have a real job and then YouTube is like is like it's great and
81:38 it's fun and it is part of my job but it is not something that I can afford to
81:42 spend more than maybe a day a day and a half a week I mean honestly even doing
81:47 things like live streams if you guys sort of noticed what time it is it's
81:51 Friday night at 10:30 do you think I'm on the clock for work
81:55 the answer would be no um so I mean I do
81:59 this because I enjoy it because it's fun because I mean you guys have supported
82:03 me so much but uh I just don't have the
82:06 time so if in the future that changes
82:09 yes I would be happy to do more in-depth looks at things but for now I'm going to
82:14 have to pretty much stick with the way it is if you want to see the more in-depth looks that I do do make sure
82:19 you're subscribed to the ncixcom channel I haven't used those nmax fans
82:24 can you set up two-way Affinity I really don't understand you saying um that's
82:30 not what Affinity is ifinity is three monitors or more and then two-way so
82:35 that so GTX 560 doesn't support ifinity um okay if you're asking if you
82:40 can run two monitors off of a GTX 560 the answer is yes so there you go uh
82:46 what's the best power supply uh just grab like an HX 750 or
82:51 something it's a great choice for a configuration like that
82:56 William says my question will be answered cool what do you think is the
83:00 best case under 80 bucks uh Corsair has one coming the 200r that I think is very
83:05 exciting I'm actually I haven't unboxed it yet I haven't seen it in person yet
83:09 but I think that might be a great choice for around 80
83:13 bucks uh how much radiator surface area in a custom water cooling Loop do what
83:17 you need for a CPU GPU configuration great great question Sawyer um generally
83:21 speaking the the rule that I follow is one 120 mm radiator per heat Source at
83:29 least and then double that if you want a silent system so if you have a CPU and a
83:33 GPU you're going to want at least a dual rad if you want to run super low RPM
83:38 fans and have like a silent system you're going to want at least a quad
83:42 that's my my general sort of thing that I do Juan says shout out it's my
83:46 birthday shout out to Juan happy birthday and all that good stuff 6: a.m.
83:51 in watching lonus you are the man Fus fuse dis
83:57 that's awesome love it will an 8150 bottleneck dual 797s oh
84:04 Lawrence the 8150 will perform at often
84:08 times like 70% the frame rate of a
84:12 3570k I mean I get a lot of flack um from viewers from time to time for being
84:16 an Intel Fanboy but the reality of it is
84:20 the way that I evaluate Hardware is this is the product and this is what it does
84:24 and this is the other product and this is what it does and if this product does less than this one does then it's not as
84:29 good it's not fanboyism it's not it's just reality it's like reality check
84:34 8150 is not a highend CPU it costs see
84:38 this comes back to something I was talking about earlier why do things cost what they do the 8150 they can branded
84:44 FX all they want but the 8150 is $179.99
84:48 on sale because it is worth $179.99 on sale in spite of the fact
84:53 that it is an 8 processor and it is an absolute beast when it comes to video
84:58 editing and uh that's that's all there is to really
85:02 say lus I'm buying a gaming mouse mly mainly for FPS games any advice um I
85:07 don't know steel series uh Sensei um
85:11 mionix mice are pretty good really like meic
85:14 mice on my laptop what's better a hard
85:17 drive password or a BIOS password or both use the encryption on your hard
85:22 drive the BIOS password does almost nothing so BIOS password is only relevant if you
85:27 want people to not go into your BIOS and
85:31 change your boot order whoops change your boot order for example which I
85:35 think is a non-factor for most people all right last Twitter question of the
85:39 night and just before we do that I want to thank all 1,700 of you for tuning in
85:44 this is fantastic you guys make me feel very very loved and uh and that that is
85:50 absolutely thrilling you guys are just awesome and uh let's go ahead and go
85:56 back to Twitter so I'm going to kind of roll the dice and oh people want to see
86:00 the cat okay you know what I will see what I can do I'll see what I can do
86:04 about summoning the cat Rumble
86:09 Rumble come here
86:12 sweetheart Rumble he usually comes when I call if
86:16 he's not sleeping or trapped somewhere Rumble
86:24 and I usually use snapping when I'm pointing at like a bug or something I
86:27 want them to kill so uh they often come
86:30 when I snap my fingers as well
86:37 Rumble I hear him meowing you know what he might be trapped in a room okay okay
86:41 I'm going to bring Rumble for a guest appearance I'll be right
86:53 back for
87:24 sorry guys I forgot rumble's actually really not feeling well so I shouldn't
87:27 have been calling him anyway but I brought rocket to visit rocket say hi to
87:32 the camera Rocket's really more camera shy than his brother say hi see this is
87:38 this is my this is my boy so for those of you who aren't familiar with my cats
87:42 they are Bengals which is sort of a cool breed that involves this kind of uh
87:47 leopard print sort of thing that they
87:50 got going on here so hopefully this is HD enough that you guys can can see him
87:55 so he's uh he is not a marbled bangle he is a spotted bangle you can get them in
88:00 a variety of different sort of configurations uh marble is just like a
88:05 different coat pattern and then you can get this is a golden color and then you
88:09 can also get them in silver which is significantly more rare and uh and very
88:16 very expensive I think for a breeding female silver bangle uh the breeder was
88:22 saying something along lines of 15 G to 25 grand um depending on the the quality
88:28 of the cat in terms of their coat and whatever else these are pet quality cats
88:32 so they have imperfections that make them not conform to the breed standard
88:36 or whatever else but there I brought my cat to visit hopefully you guys enjoyed
88:40 that and
88:43 uh yes and I have oh come on the twitch
88:46 people are giving me a hard time not talking about my cat like it's an item I
88:50 mean my cat um but Bang breed is an item
88:55 so let's put it that way it's my dad's birthday remind you to congratulate him
89:00 I this is just like the weirdest tweet ever I don't think I don't think that's
89:04 going to work all right so let's find
89:08 one more one more to answer you know
89:13 what let's go with this one Mark what do you think about sharing your idle
89:19 computer time to dedicate your CPU to scientific research via the Internet so
89:23 he's referring to projects like folding at home SE uh boink um my comment on
89:29 that has been that as long as it's uh as
89:33 long as it's not disruptive to my computer using experience and what I
89:36 found last time I tried to really get into folding was that it was making it
89:40 so my games were crashing all the time I haven't tried in a while but other than
89:44 that it's great the drawback is that you do usually see a significant increase in
89:49 your power usage so if you can afford the extra little bit of money or if
89:53 that's something that you want to contribute um you know folding at home
89:57 has been doing actually a lot of really cool research uh boink I'm less familiar
90:01 with what they're doing I think SEI is looking for extraterrestrial life or
90:05 something along those lines but uh yeah
90:09 great idea but your room and your computer will run hotter your power Bild
90:15 will be more um so as long as you factor those things into whatever decision you
90:19 make then you should be good to go thank you guys for checking out the live
90:23 stream tonight and again thank you for all of your support and good night from
90:28 Canada or good morning or wherever the heck you guys are I'm going go ahead and
90:33 turn my camera off
90:37 now and fous Jafar asks is the M4 better
90:41 than the vertex 3 you know what they're pretty darn close so uh it doesn't
90:45 really make much difference to me one way or the other recommend a good sub
90:48 $400 or $350 27 in IPS green with
90:52 vibrant colors no um IPS is expensive
90:56 yo um yeah sorry man
