0:00 so today on my video blog we continue the search for a camera that will allow
0:04 us to take good quality indoor video uh
0:07 get some good close-ups so we can actually see what it says on the boxes
0:11 of whatever it is we're unboxing so one of my co-workers mentioned to me that
0:15 this kodak easy share m1093 is
0:19 is actually supposed to be have a pretty good video mode he said it doesn't say
0:23 anything about it on the box but it actually supports 720p video capture so
0:28 another thing you'll notice about the box itself is the is so what that means
0:33 is it's actually got image stabilization which is an extremely useful feature as
0:38 you may have noticed in one of the videos we did before where i didn't use
0:41 this camera okay so let's have a look at what we've
0:45 got inside here so first of all are you
0:48 ready to get the most from your new kodak camera register now get great
0:52 deals tips and more plus an exclusive offer on accessories
0:56 excellent okay so inside there what we
0:59 have is the user's guide which is actually quite thick for just a consumer
1:04 camera i'm assuming it's multiple languages here so yeah the english part
1:08 is actually only about 30 pages long so that's going to tell
1:12 you all the basics like how to turn on the camera how to set the language date
1:15 and time etc etc okay next we have the
1:19 software disk so this is available in about 50 different languages it's
1:23 version 7 and it works on Windows or the mac
1:26 awesome and last but not least uh get ready to get them okay i already talked about
1:30 that okay so inside you will find a battery charger
1:34 so let's just take this out so you can have a quick look at it here so it's one
1:38 of those ones that plugs into your wall via
1:41 this wire if i could find it i would
1:46 tell you oh this is okay hold on let's let's sort
1:51 out my brain here and then we'll go from there oh interesting okay so it plugs in
1:55 like this actually there we plug in like that
2:01 plug it into the no no that doesn't work either
2:04 it does it plugs in this way there plugs in like that and then
2:09 it's a usb adapter that's all it is so the camera seems to actually charge by
2:14 usb not from the wall so that's kind of
2:18 handy so it means that probably 90 of the time you're not even
2:22 going to bother using this adapter because you can just charge the camera
2:26 with the included usb cable by plugging that into your computer so yeah what you
2:30 would normally do is you plug in the usb cable here and then you can charge it
2:35 with the little mini usb cable here so then this is a non-standard usb so it's
2:41 not the normal one that you use for cameras so be aware of that you can't
2:44 just replace it with any usb a to mini b connector here we have a little dock
2:49 thing okay so that's where the camera sits
2:53 when you're putting it on that then we've got a little uh wrist
2:57 strap and then we have the battery so this is a
3:01 digital camera battery it's a rechargeable lithium ion battery a
3:06 fairly standard fare okay and last but not least we have the camera itself oh
3:11 it's quite heavy actually it's the first thing i notice about it see if i can get
3:15 it out of the box here and show you more closely how it is heavy although that'll
3:20 be difficult to show on film okay so first of all you can see we've got hd
3:24 stills and video that's one of the things they advertise about it it's a 10
3:28 megapixel camera you can see it's got a built-in flash here and a standard 3x
3:33 optical zoom on this side you're going to find the usb connector so please note
3:37 again that is a little bit smaller than the standard mini b connectors then here
3:42 is a power in if you were to run it on like a tripod or whatever for constant
3:46 video uh footage then on the bottom you've got
3:50 your sd slot as well as your battery slot so the battery will go in a little
3:54 something like that there we go then you've got a little
3:58 tripod mount and then on the back you've got a nice large screen which is really
4:03 nice to see it's a glossy screen and then here's all of your controls so
4:07 there's your zoom delete photo playback all that good stuff and then on the top
4:12 you can change the mode you've got your shutter button flash and power button so
4:16 it's a fairly straightforward little point and shoot anyway i'm going to do my next video using this camera so we're
4:21 going to see how good the video mode is thanks for checking out my blog
