so today on my video blog we're going to be unboxing the Xbox 360 PC controller
0:06
and we are using the lifecam home Cinema in order to do our recording so I'm just
0:12
going to use my remote here to kind of hone in on the uh on the life uh sorry
0:17
not on the lifecam on the Xbox 360 no I'm just kidding actually it's the
0:20
cameraman who's holding the uh the webcam at the top of the screen so I'm
0:24
going to put it down on the table just down down down down down there we go
0:28
okay let's get this thing open so you can see it includes a white wireless
0:32
Xbox 360 controller as well as a little dongle here so we're going to explain
0:36
what that's for this wireless controller can as I mentioned before be used with
0:40
either the Xbox 360 or the PC so with
0:43
games like Batman Arkham Asylum where their uh Xbox or sorry not Xbox where
0:48
their games for Windows enabled and they're by default compatible with the
0:54
Xbox 360 controller that kind of thing can be really useful
0:58
because you don't have to do any configuration to get this controller
1:02
working with games like that so let's have a look at it it's a standard Xbox
1:07
controller you got your four buttons here abxy you got your start your back
1:11
your Xbox button two analog sticks and a d-pad then on the top you got your two
1:15
trigger buttons and two shoulder buttons and one more button that I'm assuming is
1:19
for connecting to the USB dongle speaking of which let's talk about the
1:23
USB dongle here so the USB dongle it
1:26
says okay install software first so you want to install the software for your
1:31
Xbox 360 controller receiver before you
1:34
actually plug it into the computer there's a button here on the top that
1:38
I'm having kind of a hard time showing you but yeah there it is there's a
1:41
button right there you press that button and that's how you sync up with your
1:45
controller it actually supports up to four controllers at a time so you only
1:50
need to buy one of the controllers with the dongle and then you can pick up like
1:53
the refurb ones that we have on sale uh from time to time and then you can
1:58
connect those to it as well and you can get some multiplayer gaming action going
2:02
so it comes with two duracel ablea batteries and so those install here in
2:08
the battery compartment and I guess that's what that the cameraman's
2:13
probably going to be gesturing to me yeah here help me you hold the button
2:17
and then you oh cool okay so you hold the button
2:21
and then pry it back awesome can you tell I'm not much of an Xbox gamer uh
2:26
and then you install it like that okay
2:30
so you put those in there and then you put the whole thing back oh no I get it
2:34
you put the oh wow this is very complicated so you put the batteries
2:39
inside this little cartridge and you put them in this
2:45
way okay yeah you put them in like this
2:49
and then you install the little cartridge into the back of the Xbox 360
2:54
controller there we go it's got a little bit more weight to it now anyway thank
2:58
you for checking out my video unboxing of the Xbox 360
3:03
controller oh I have to stop it now
