0:00 it's handy Tech under 100 time again but
0:04 this time something new a product that can simplify your DIY projects and clamp
0:11 your nipples at the same time don't miss
0:24 it be quiet! silent Wings 3 fans use a
0:27 smooth running six pole motor to remain silent and cool your PC better check
0:32 them out at the link in the video description number one here is the
0:37 spiritual successor to a product that I bought a while back for a handy Tech
0:41 episode then never ended up featuring because it just didn't work that well
0:46 this thing sucks every time I've used it
0:50 I've been blown away by how long it takes to adjust the position of the arms
0:55 and the poor quality of the included magnifying glass so I recently replaced
1:00 it with a quad hands helping hands that
1:03 absolutely blows it out of the water it includes four locking alligator clamp
1:08 terminated flexible goose neck arms attached to a heavy powdercoated steel
1:14 base two of the arms are about 6 in Long
1:18 these ones will be ideal for smaller projects where stability is key because
1:23 a shorter ARM is inherently more stable then the other two are about 15 in Long
1:28 making them ideal for holding holding larger items reaching around to provide
1:32 additional stability to the small arms or even taking care of your uh other
1:38 needs when you're busy and need to multitask as far as suggested
1:42 improvements go I love this thing so far but some plastic or rubber guards for
1:47 the clamp teeth might be nice so I don't have to cover them to avoid risking
1:51 scratching something like a PCB and a couple extra threaded holes tapped into
1:56 the base would let me expand it with more arms both both of which are lowcost
2:01 upgrades that could be very valuable to potential customers which leads us then
2:05 to item number two another spiritual successor this time to the Sennheiser
2:11 hh10 an awesome desk clamping headphone
2:14 holder that was discontinued almost immediately after I recommended it in
2:18 handy Tech episode 1 almost 3 years ago
2:22 this is the brain waves hangya and
2:25 actually the brain waves truss as well
2:29 both of them are under 20 bucks for a well- constructed metal headphone hanger
2:34 that will help you keep your headphones off of your Tower your monitor your desk
2:38 your floor or wherever else it is that you've got them right now the difference
2:43 between the two is that the hanga clamps to the edge of your desk just like the
2:48 hh10 did and holds one pair of headphones while the truss actually
2:53 takes the space savings a step further and sticks to the bottom of your desk
2:58 with an extra ARM that you can use to store your gaming headset and your audio
3:02 file headphones for example not bad given that it only costs a few bucks
3:07 more I'd like to see a wider more curved
3:10 top surface on both of them to help avoid denting the headband foam on the
3:15 nice cans you spent your hard-earned money on and I think the truss should
3:19 have a couple of holes in the base to allow you to screw it into the bottom of
3:23 your desk if you want the included adhesive appears to be the same
3:28 excellent stuff included by GoPro on their mounts but it's onetime use and
3:34 quality double-sided tape is not exactly available at the corner store so you
3:38 might have to wait if you had to order it online or something leading us then
3:42 to the next product I am a huge fan of
3:45 the steel series qck XXL a 900 MMX 400
3:50 MM mouse pad that's big enough for your mouse and your keyboard and like a
3:55 secondary Mouse on the other side for your laptop but at 40 bucks it's pretty
4:00 expensive enter reflex lab with their
4:04 huge gaming mouse pad for half the price
4:08 it's a little smaller it's the same width but about 100 mm shorter but I
4:12 rarely use the very top of my XXL anyway
4:16 and the huge gaming mouse pad has no
4:19 tracking issues has a pretty pleasing soft texture to the top has the same uh
4:25 grippy bottom so it doesn't slide around and rocks stitched edges to prevent
4:30 fraying to boot if I'd seen this one
4:34 before I started working on this video I'd have probably ordered the red lemon
4:38 version of what appears to be a very similar product for only 14 bucks with
4:42 free Prime shipping so you can check out that one too but I haven't personally
4:47 tried that one and I don't feel comfortable endorsing stuff on handy
4:50 Tech unless I've actually had my hands on it and I have with the reflex lab
4:54 version leading us then to our last item for the day these
5:01 adorable little thermal adhesive backed heat sinks have you ever wondered how
5:06 you can add just a little bit of extra cooling to a mod uh maybe on a vrm
5:12 module on your motherboard or graphics card or to some weird controller chip
5:16 that just seems to run too hot on an Electronics project well at six bucks
5:21 for 20 of these they're a great deal and sure to add not only some cooling but
5:26 also a little flare to your next raspberry pie baby
5:30 project which brings us finally to the full disclosure part of these handy Tech
5:34 episodes since they're structured more as a recommendation to buy with links
5:38 below to Amazon compared to a review
5:41 item one I purchased by me for me
5:44 personally and at work item number two I purchased by me for my use at work since
5:51 I'm still using my hh10 at home and for Tan since he's been looking for
5:54 something to get his headphones off and away from his desk item three was was
5:59 purchased by me just to see if it was good before recommending it because it
6:03 was cheap and I was like oh that's cool and item four was purchased by me
6:07 because I saw it and I could think of a thousand times that I could have used a
6:10 little heat sink like that in the past even having gone as far as to cut up
6:15 swifttech MC1 14s into quarters with a hacksaw when I had a motherboard whose
